Laid back teaching style, always late to class, slightly unorganized, but FUN!

Spring is a total sweetheart. Very willing to help and push back project due dates. First two exams are a lot of info, but if you study word definitions from the book you should be okay. Definitely recommend her over other professors.

Spring is super nice, and helpful but exams are a lot of material from the book. Classes pretty boring, and just note taking after note taking. Mini projects boost up grade

Excellent teacher, very clear, moves slowly through material so that everyone (computer-literate and illiterate) can keep up. She's incredibly helpful, friendly, and enjoyable to be in class with. Class might be slow/boring for those with computer skills but hey, it's an easy A! :)

If you can take then do it! Very helpful and actually listens to you if you are having trouble. Get to know her, she is an amazing person. Classes sometimes get canceled as well.

I knew some of the material before and expected it to be a boring class, but it turned out fairly well. Spring does a great job of presenting the material and helping you when you need it. If you need to take acct160, I would definately try to get into her class.

Two parts of the class: Technology & Learning to use programs. Technology=boring and dry but you have to go to class for the quizzes. Learning to use the programs is interesting and easy to get A's - open book tests. And even as boring as the technology is, Spring can be a very funny lady

I took the 1 meeting/week section...big mistake! If you know ANYTHING about computer hardware and software, lectures will bore you to death. Tests and quizzes focus on concepts/vocabulary, so READ THE BOOK! Projects are a breeze, and she's always willing to help you. Overall, great professor, but I think she should teach a more advanced class.

Ok, if you're about to take 261, just know that the class is a pain in the a$$. Seriously, now the teacher on the other hand isn't that bad. She'll help you if you need it and she's a pretty fair grader. It's just she's SO LAZY. Do not expect to get projects or test grades back ANYtime after turning them in, it just won't happen. Nice/LAZY.

Pretty good teacher. Don't go to class, keep up with projects and make sure you get a hundred on them so you can bomb the written tests cause they are HARD. End up with a high B or low A. Not bad.

Very Very helpful teacher. Wants to see every student do well. Always willing to help you no matter if it is after class, before, or if you just run into her somewhere. Go to class, pay attention, do projects and tests are a peice of cakse. I finished an computer test in under 10 minutes and got a 98 avg.

Really nice teacher but class is just a joke. Recommend going to her office hours during one of the projects and just getting to know her. Shell help you with your project and probably your final grade. Projects are long and boring. Shes lazy at returning work. Overall nice lady kinda stupid class and just an easy A if you do a little work

First off, love the previous comment. Spring is the best for both 160/261. Really nice!! Her tests took me no longer than 5 minutes then I went home. I actually use some excel and access stuff with my job/other classes. Approachable about problems, she cares about you if you go to class/put effort in work.

very nice and is always willing to help. hardest exams are the book exams. other exams are easy if you know your access and excel which you will once your done doing the projects each week. projects take 1-2 hrs, one a week. not bad at all..

She's got a screenname, you can IM her, and she helps you just like that. Very easy. The only reason I got a B+ and not an A is b/c of those textbook tests... make sure you study the book for those or you'll get in the 60-70s.

She is a good teacher and I found her easily to talk to. If you are willing to work hard she is willing to "hold you hand" through hard assignments. I think her strengths in this class were that she was learning it at the same time we were, so unlike most professors she did have not have a disconnect to the difficulty of learning V.B.

Great and fun prof. She's always available for help either in person, i/m or email. Just study vocab for book exams and there is no way you cant pass w/ an A if you do all the homework and such

Spring is a really cool teacher and she's extremely nice. She's really funny and wants her students to do well. There are a lot of little projects but as long as you follow the steps in the book they are really easy and some of them you can fix and resubmit for a better grade. The tests are hard but she helps a lot for the final.

If ur taking MIS-160 and its between davidson and monk go for davidson bc she is the nicer of the two ladies. The assignments you have to complete on the computer aren't hard but some of the written exams from the textbook can get kind of tricky. Attendance is not neccesary bc she reads off powerpoints that are posted online. Getting an A not hard

She was late to class like 90% of the time. You do not need to go to class, power points are online, she reads off them verbatim. It is a fairly easy A. Very approachable, but you just have to hope she shows up to her office hours(shes late to them too).

This is a fairly easy course. If you have used excel and power point you already have an 100% for 1/2 the class. All of the quizes/tests on the computer stuff is extremely easy. You can take your notes and text book. The only hard aspectof this course is the textbook tests. They are hard due to not being written by computer people.

Easiest Class if your good with computers. If you are really good with computers, she'll let you skip half of the classes because you know the info anyway. ALOT of homework, but easy, simply follow step by step directions and you'll get an B+ in the class. You can spend 2-5 hours a week on homework.

Great teacher, very helpful and easy to understand, responds to email questions quickly. Very funny. A good amount of online work, but great class overall.

A lot of assignments, but none of them are very difficult. Davidson is good at explaining the office software and I really learned a lot. The material outside of the software is a bit more dense, but Davidson does her best to make it interesting. Posts lecture PowerPoint's online. Willing to adjust due dates. Could earn an A without too much effort

LOVE this professor. She is by far one of the best professors i have had at UD. Spring is helpful and always at office hours. She is really interested in the information and loves teaching it to students. Definitely recommend taking her class!!

Wonderful lady. Really nice. Enjoys life but sometimes gets a little "spacey" in class. She'll even admit she has the attention span of fly. Lecture days are boring and you don't need to go if you review the text book before the written tests. I would go on all Lab days though to learn the new program. Lab projects are okay. Work with a friend.

Spring is a great professor! She know's her stuff but isn't exactly the BEST at getting it across, can tend to be a bit scatterbrained but overall is an excellent professor. Really cares about students understanding material & is super helpful in office hours. Class is easy if you put effort into it.

The software exams are easy and the textbook ones are challenging so try to keep up with the readings. She is a good teacher overall, she tends to be late a lot but she is nice and will help you with any questions or concerns.

Do the assignments early and go to her during office hours. Keep up with the readings as they will be tested on and usually lectures are focused on the assignments not the readings. Easy if you have interest in IT.

The assignments are easy, just follow instructions in the books. Mostly basic Office stuff that you should know already. Redo homework and spend some extra time with her during office hour before exams and its an easy A

The class itself is really easy and Spring is a really laid back professor. She let my friend and I take an exam on a different day because we wanted to go to a concert. She does show up late every day, though..

This class WAS EXTREMELY EASY!!! Don't believe the people who say it's hard. I only came to class on days of exams...which are almost every other Friday. The exams are mad easy nothing to worry about at all! She curves!!!!! Just do the work and you're fine. The class is 1000 POINTS! Easy easy easy A+

One of the best professors Ive had a UD. So laid back, I actually took a class that conficted with hers so she let me take the tests when it was best for me. I don't know what the fool below me was thinking, he was probably one of the students that got plagerizing which is hilarious because all of her tests are open book. Take her!

spring is a very nice lady who doesn't care if you show up. Her test are long and ridiculous and all there are so many unnecessary projects that are just a waste of time and are there to help you learn the material but they don't. You just really need to know your stuff to do well in this class.

Attendance isn't mandatory. A lot of material to cover, so her lectures are vague. Definitely need to read and take notes. She puts up practice quizzes and uses a lot of questions on those for the test. A lot of homework, but it's relatively easy, just takes time. Excel and Access exams are open book.
