This professor is not very clear. He has a thick accent, and he does not have very good handwriting. He does not scale tests. The average on our first test was a 63, and he did not scale it at all. He just said we needed to study more. He gave us a test the day after spring break. I would not recommend taking his class.

Chemistry 112 is a hard class on its own but Surampudi does a fairly good job at teaching it. He mainly goes through example problems to teach the material but he also uses iclicker questions. Sometimes it is hard to understand what he says because of his accent but it isn't a real problem. Luckily, he scaled an exam we had with a low class average

If you go to office hours and try and familiarise yourself with him whenever you dont understand something he will definitely help you out. Get this man if you want a decent grade while still picking up useful orgo concepts. He is a hundred times better than McDaniel, whose exam averages are always an F. There's no way out of the work no matter who you take orgo with, but Sravan Surampudi cares about his students and has a much more forgiving grading policy than the latter.
