There's so many things I could say about her methods of teaching and motivation, but this pretty much sums it up: she's bad.
She is a horrible teacher. She does not really explain the material, and she expects you to actually know how to work the problems before you come to class.
She only provides one method of teaching and just expects you to get it. She expects you to come to class and just know the formulas and the rules and how to do everything, while she just plugs in numbers for you. The only reason I'm passing right now is because I have a tutor. If you're nice to her, she'll cut you some slack.
This teacher is horrible, and if you speak english she is even worse. She does not go through and show you how to do the problems only says "you should know how" and the textbook sucks (thanks a lot Dean of Math). She can not speak clear english .. I know everyone needs a job, but South needs to think 2wice about who they hire.
Teacher is not clear at all with what she teaches. She does not write clearly on the board when trying to solve a problem, she will write all around the problem confusing the step in correct order.
This teacher is very difficult to understand. She is very nice and wants her students to succeed but she doesn't always teach the material in a way that is understandable. She was much better than the last teacher I took for math, so I would recommend her over others. Be careful going into this class if you have no previous math experience.
The Worst Teacher I've ever had. You will have to learn material on you own. She screeches at her students. Avoid if at all possible
Hey I thought that the comments about her were true. At first they were she was horrible just expected you to know mth. I am so glad that I stayed in her class this was my second time taking this math and she changed her ways and began teaching and I passed. She has become a good teacher.
She is horrible. I love math & was excited to have an 8 o clock math class & after two days, I am already infuriated. She is very hard to understand & doesn't know how to explain things. If you tell her you don't understand, she just says the same thing again that doesn't make any sense. Some of the stuff she said today wasn't even right.DON'T TAKE
The best math professor ever!! She is very willing to help you and will explain a problem until you understand. She is very patient and welcomes questions. Shw makes you feel good about math.I wished She taught MA 125.I made an A+ from this class. Highly Recommended
Her class is a definite must. If you have the option of taking one of Her classes--do it!! She is a very fair and respectable instructor. If you have questions, She will go over it until you
This teacher was VERY confusing at first, but I am soo glad I stuck with her. She tells you EXACTLY what to study for tests and quizes( most of the problems are ones you do in class). If you're willing to put forth effort she's a breeze! I got an A+ and I hate math.Sometimes hard to understand, but she's willing to help you as much as needed.
She is very kind and nice, very clear teacher. She tells you what to study for tests and quizzes. You only need to attend the class and a little effort, then for sure you would get A. She helps as much as the student needed.
At first I thought I was going to hate her class because of her thick accent, but I would recommend her to anyone. She gives good study guides, bonus points and gives you credit for trying on exams
She is the most wonderful professor. She is more than willing to help her students. She truly cares about each individual, and she sincerely wants A's for all students. She will go above and beyond to give you and A, and as long as the effort is reciprocated, you will get an A for sure.
Mrs.Chilukuri is by far the best math teacher I have ever taken at South. Shes hard to understand at first because of her accent but you eventually get use to it.The study guides she gives is basically the test and quizzes come directly from the hmwrk. Take her if you can!!she's very nice and helpful.she wants all her students to pass with A's.
If you want to take a math do not waste you time searching never just register with ms, Sridevi Chilukuri . for those who want A and who want to understand just register at Sridevi Chilukuri class. I got A and I understand every things she tought us. EASY (A)
Show Sri that you want an A and that you are willing to work for it and she will help you endlessly. I am no good at math but I made it very clear to her when I didn't understand and she praised me for it. She LOVES bold students who WANT an A. She's super sweet and funny if you have a good sense of humor. ask questions. TAKE THIS CLASS! I got an A
She is the most sweet and kind teacher that you can find in the department. She is helpful and also have the patience of explain many times as the students need to get the material. I spent such a good time in her class.
Avoid if possible... pretty easy runs a class like highschool.... unorganized and spacey...
The BEST pre-cal teacher! Makes math easy. Gives extra credit. Likes when you interact in class. Test are not hard at all, comes straight from the examples in the book. Attend everyday and you'll get an A!
She is very sweet! I never had problems with understanding her accent. She teaches and works out your homework problems on the board. I'm terrible at math and I did good in her class! I'd def recommend her.
Best/funnest math teacher ever! As long as you show that you are willing to study and do what it takes to make an A she is SUPER helpful! She will also bend the deadlines a little bit in everyones favor. I would recommend her to everyone!
Mrs.Sri is the BEST math teacher!!! She is my favorite! You have to show up and be involved. Sit in the front and show you are there to learn! Do all your homework! The quizzes come from examples from the book, PAY ATTENTION to the ones on the board!! Her accent may be a little bad! This class was so FUN and I got and A!! You will LOVE her!
BEST teacher ever, hands down!
I'm not the best at math, but I have a 100 average in her class right now. While it ma be hard to understand her sometimes she REALLY cares about whether or not you understand the material. Spend a lot of one-one time with her and you benefit incredably. If you have questions while taking an exam she will help you as best she can. Quality teacher.
Ms. Sri is an awesome teacher! She will help you out when you have a question. Just show her you care about the class and come to class and you will do good! She is the best teacher I have had at South!
she is awesome and the best ever
I thought she was great. As long as you show up and participate she will help you. It's been one of my most fun classes yet.
She is a awesome teacher. If you ask for help she will give it to you in a heart beat. Most fun I've had in a math class. Get her if possible!!!!!!
Very sweet and helpful. Sometimes hard to understand but overall she was very good!
The only reason I ended up with a good grade in her class is because I took Pre-Cal in high school. She's incredibly hard to understand with her accent and goes really fast I have no idea how people who have never taken this before even passed. She didn't respond to any of my emails but she really is a nice lady
Very hard to understand. She gets aggravated really easily when people ask question because she doesn't explain herself well at all. Moves too quickly.
AVOID HER AT ALL COSTS. She doesn't explain very well and expects us to understand before we even come to class. Her accent can be very hard to decipher and she gets easily aggravated when students ask her questions. She doesn't answer questions in a way that we can understand, just repeats herself over and over, which does not help. DO NOT TAKE.
Her accent is hard to get past. She pronounces words wrong and no one knows what she's talking about. She's really impatient with her students. She doesn't explain well and expects you to learn it instantly. Don't take her
She DOES NOT teach. She reads the examples straight from the book. We can do that on our own, and we're paying her to do it. She needs to learn how to TEACH. Completely fed up with her.
Great teacher. She is very nice and works with students. If you take her, enjoy her, it doesn't get any better.
I loved Mrs. Sri! Idk what the ppl below are saying. Yes, she can be hard to understand sometimes, but if you actually come to class regularly & study you should be good. She gives extra credit & the quizzes are easy and test are alright. If you don't show effort, than you won't get the grade you want. She's very funny & made class a lil bit fun!
Don't understand why anyone would give her such a good rating. She's very impatient, basically yells at us if we forget a concept, reads to us like 3rd graders and talks down to us. She can be very mean and doesn't actually teach us anything and expects us to understand new concepts as soon as she reads it to us. Avoid her and you'll be better off.
Very hard to understand...material is pretty easy though. Attendance is mandatory. Best part about this class is the bonus points. If the whole class does bad on a test she hands out bonus points like crazy.
She is the best teacher at south, Easy A in her class. she gives you alot of points on your work. her tests and quizzes are super easy just study the examples and you will pass her class. no reason why anybody should fail her class.
Math has not always been my strong point but this class made it a little bit better. You do have to work hard in her class and actually show up because their is a lot of work. If you copy down everything she writes on the board and study it then you will do good on all the quizzes and tests. Her quizzes and tests reflect the problems in class.
Professor Chilukuri is one of the funniest professor I've ever had. She speaks quickly and with a heavy accent. She is quite impatient but once she realizes it she slows down. She explains things quite clearly and overall her class was pretty easy, great for people who are just looking to get through math.
Once you get to know Mrs. Sri she is an amazing teacher. If you go to class, ask questions, and are involved, it'll be an easy A. She knows her stuff. If you do not understand what she is teaching, then ask her. Wonderful teacher, take if you can!
RUN RUN RUN AS FAST AS YOU CAN!! If you are stuck and she is the only professor available JUST DONT TAKE A MATH THAT SEMESTER! Math has never been so hard.
Avoid if you can! I have always been fairly decent at math but you can't even understand what she's saying..you basically have to teach yourself in this class. She reads examples STRAIGHT out of the book and flies through them even when half of the class doesn't understand. She's hands out extra points like crazy, but only of failing students
I've never had this much trouble learning math. You get nothing from her lectures, besides copying the examples that are already solved in the book, all the homework and quizzes are online, and the site is picky about answers. If she is the only teacher open wait a semester.
A bit hard to understand at first, but if you come in wanting to do well and not let the accent deter you, it will be an awesome class. She is the most helpful professor i have ever had, she will gladly help you at anytime, is super flexible, and genuinely wants you to make a good grade.
Mrs. Chilukuri was an awesome teacher! She really gets the class laughing and keeps the lecture interesting. She works strictly from the book but that is best because her test are very similar to the problems she works. I recommended her to everybody that I knew that needed to take math 112! She is a fair grader!!
Finally, a professor that cares about her students. Mrs. Sri is a genuinely good person who would go to the end of the earth to help a student who wants to learn. God bless her like she has blessed me.
I would recommend you take her she's very sweet and nice, and will work with you if you go to her the correct way. Came out of her class with a "B+" I can say her accent is very strong, but you will manage to make it through. Take her!!!
Very kind woman. She is willing to help and will do whatever she can if you show that you care. Be sure to pay attention in class because everything she goes over will show up on a weekly quiz or she will tell you the examples you need to study for the tests. Great attitude, always smiling, and a genuine passion for the course. "Math is fun"
Worst teacher I have ever had. I went to every class and still wasn't sure about what we were doing. She reads the examples straight out of the book which would probably be okay if she could speak or understand english. People would ask her questions and she would answer by talking about something completely different.
Very helpful she wants her students to do well. Go to class and work extra problems.
homework and quizzes are online. not hard material you can easily teach yourself. textbook is required for class but she can't speak good English. she is very hard to understand. she teaches straight from the book. like reads it verbatim. doesn't give any examples so class is really pointless. she takes attendance but it doesn't affect your grade.
She cares about whether or not you're passing, but don't expect her to be nice about it. She once told my class that we were terrible students and questioned what we were doing in college. Heavy accent, talks about India a LOT. If you do well on the online homework and weekly quizzes, you'll be okay, but she won't make it easy.
Yea, she's hard to understand, but I did not think I was going to make an A but somehow I did. Basically show up and show you are trying. Also do the homework, it is not a hard class, just study and attend class.
DO NOT TAKE HER!!!! SHE SPEAKS POOR ENGLISH. She teaches word for word from the book. Class is pointless and boring. She raises her voice and yells for no reason at all. There were several times that I wanted to just punch her in the face. ABSOLUTELY WOULD NOT TAKE HER AGAIN.
She is very hard to understand because of her accent. Expect to have to teach yourself and use class for clarification. She gives you a lot of chances and is a very nice woman, just not the best teacher. I would not recommend her, but it was not the worst class I have ever had or anything.
Her accent may not be clear, but if you go to her she will keep explaining till you understand. Very kind, there is study guide which is easy to get an A if you study the study guide. Also if you missed some points in the exam, she will give you points to have a better grade
takes attendance. learns your name and will call you out. hard to understand at first but you'll get used to it. easy grader. need the book. great teacher
When it comes to math, if you get it you get it and if you don't you need help. Sri is so helpful! Just come to her and ask and she'll try to explain it. Listening to her accent was the only thing I found difficult a few times to understand, but she's a great teacher! Take her and get an A... If you do the work!
Honestly didn't understand a word she said, but she was such an easy grader! If you study, you'll make a good grade. Honestly, know your unit circle. She isn't clear at explaining math. It will be self taught, but an A is an A. She drops a ton of quiz grades too and reopens a lot of quizzes for slackers like every week.
If you aren't already strong in math do not take her. Although she tries to work with you, she is extremely hard to understand and just not very clear when it comes to explaining math.
Although she helps out with your grade, she is very hard to understand. Not a class i would take again.
Ms. Sri has a heart of gold and is wiling to help anyone in her class! She also scales her tests, and is a pretty lenient grader. However, she does give an online quiz & homework with each section she goes over, but at the end she drops a few usually. ust go to class and pay attention and try to participate & she'll love you! She's so sweet!
Sri is one of the kindest professors I've taken so far at South. She will go out of her way to help you if you're struggling, and even though her accent can make it difficult sometimes to understand, just keep talking with her and you'll get it. Definitely recommend taking her. I wasn't stressed at all in her class.
Sri was very helpful when you didn't understand a concept, however I happened to have a smaller class size so we got more one on one time and it was easier for her to notice when students were struggling. Study Guides for every test, and one dropped test grade. Can't complain
I somewhat think Mrs. Sri was an 'Okay' math teacher. She's not that easy to understand because of her accent, but her class can be pretty easy as long as you show up and do her homework and quizzes ON TIME. So don't slack off if you end up taking her. She gives 3 exams before the final & she'll drop your lowest one. She also gives bonus points too
Great professor! Go to office hours or email if you need help or an assignment reopened!
It is a little hard to understand her accent but she knows her stuff. Tries a lot to help student and make them get the best grade possible. If you have any difficulty you can go to her office and get it cleared. She is an easy A. Makes math a lot easier.
She is hard to understand during lectures and does a poor job at utilizing time during class. Despite this, she is the most caring woman I have met on campus. I have taken advantage of her office hours and she is always sure my grade is in good standing by offering extra credit. As long as you put in a few hours each week to study, you'll make an A
Chilukuri is extremely hard to understand, she gives A LOT of quizzes, it's almost impossible to finish them all. I had to BEG for a C. Just don't take this lady if you're bad at math and can't understand foreign language well.
Dr. Chilukuri is like many of the foreign math and science teachers I have encountered here at the university. If you struggle with the subject, I would not recommend them; they will make you work for it, and they won't help you unless you let them know early that you are struggling. Even then, you have to put in extra; if you are lazy or busy, no
Yeah, I said she was tough, and I agree that she is, but she does actually care, and she will help you if you let her know that you are struggling. you have to visit her during her office hours, though, and be prepared to do extra homework. Math will be your life for a good four hours per week, possibly.
Mrs. Sri is a very caring teacher. She has a heavy accent but I don't think she is that hard to understand. She assigns SO many quizzes and homework assignments but they are all online & open note. Also, the quizzes are a lot harder than her tests. Overall she is a pretty good teacher, but her lectures can feel like they take forever.
Mrs. Sri was a wonderful professor! Yes, it takes some effort to get an A but it should be worth it. Her exams were easy and she cared about how her students did.
Do the work and you will past the class. She will help you after class and help you succeed. She can be funny at times.
Even though she had a thick accent, she was sweet and caring about her students. GO TO HER AT HER OFFICE HOURS. There were plenty of times I needed help with my homework and she explained everything step-by-step but At the same time, I taught myself sometimes. She also gives homework and a quiz for EACH section so do not get behind.
This class was only easy if you took the time to teach yourself literally everything. She gives videos online to teach you math. The lectures are basically her asking you to do questions that she hasn't even taught before. It is easy to get a good grade-- but you have to put in a lot of time for homework and teaching yourself material.
She is a sweet professor but be prepared to teach yourself sometimes as she doesn't always go into a lot of detail. She assigns a lot of homework and quizzes at a time online which are fairly simple but easy to get behind in. In the beginning, her accent is a bit hard to understand. You definitely have to work for a good grade in this class.
she is great teacher, she is very nice women and kind. she is helpful if you want help. she never say no to her students
She was difficult to understand at first but after the first couple of classes I could understand what she is saying. She explains the notes very well and allows us to grasp the concept before moving on. Her notes are from the textbook but she explains them in an easier way.
You won't need the book which is usually around $220, just buy the access code for the online website she uses for $110. All of our work comes from this website and you need to learn the work from that website itself because she's not a good teacher, so you're pretty much teaching yourself. Do the study plan from the beginning don't get behind
Doesnt teach at all, dont expect to learn a lot in class, youre going to have to teach yourself a lot
She's a nice lady and I've known her a while, but darn she is an awful teacher. She doesn't teach. If you accidentally have her for Pre-Cal or other classes, just use your text book on MathLabsPlus and teach yourself and take the online quizzes thoroughly after studying the homework. Took everything in me to pass the class even though it was easy.
I see alot of reviews stating she is hard to understand. If you actually pay attention to her understanding her is quite easy. She cares a great deal about her students. In order to pass class you need to do your homework and memorize functions & givens. Otherwise, you will fail the class. This is across the board for MA113, not professor specific.
Do not take her. You can barely understand her as it is not to mention all the extra homework she gives us so we can be "more prepared" than other classes. We have study plans that drop your grade and she doesn't explain how to do them. You need to get 100 on every quiz to earn mastery points or your grade will suffer some. Do noy reccomend taking.
I do good in her class because I teach myself. She is difficult to understand at times and she doesn't comprehend what the students are asking. She does give extra credit for doing good on practice tests and for answering questions in class, but most people just sit on their phones and laptops. If you don't think you can teach yourself, don't take.
Shes very sweet and cares about her students. Dont take this class at 8am. Theres also a practice exam for every test so it makes the class even easier. I hardly went because mathlabsplus will teach you the whole curriculum. If you can take this class online, do yourself a favor.
She really cares about her students and she wants to be asked questions. She is very helpful in her office hours and in lecture. She gives bonus points for attending class and for completing practice exams . She allways responds to email and will send you "good luck" emails before every exam.
Although I did not personally need to listen to her lectures, she is very good at clearly explaining topics. She loves participation. I didnt need the book because all of the work is online. If you need help, she is there.
Mrs. Chilukuri is extremely kind and genuinely cares about her students. She is always easy to approach and she will help further explain the more difficult concepts.
Chilukuri is very nice and knowledgeable, but sometimes you may have to ask a question multiple times for her to know what you're asking. She gives extra credit points which are nice, but there are only 3 exams and a final, so be sure to do well and take the practice tests as much as possible.
Wants you to pass with an A so shell answer any questions, very helpful.
An absolute ray of sunshine. She loves what she does and it shows. You have to get used to her accent though. She is a good teacher but Im just bad at math. If you do your homework and quizzes and the practice exam along with paying attention, you should get at least a C regardless of how good you are at math.
Dr. Sri is a caring professor and cares about her student's success. She does take attendance everyday and she is a little difficult to understand at times. Not a tough class.
Awesome teacher. Come to class and youll be good.
I loved Mrs. Chilukuri. It is obvious she cares greatly about her students and wants them to succeed. Sometimes it may be hard to understand what she is trying to communicate because of her accent, but anything I didn't understand was always easy to figure out when doing the online assignments. Very easy to earn bonus points. Do the work easy A
She is an AMAZING teacher and truly cares about her students. Sometimes she host tutoring sessions at the school a few days before the exams (Go to those if you don't understand a topic- they really help). As long as you do the practice exams a few times you will make an A or a B on the exams.
Awesome professor only wants whats best for her students. Study the practice test before the test and youll make an A or a B on the test easily.
She was horrible. I literally became a professor this semester by teaching myself and friends in the class the material. You can barely understand what the heck she says. Shes not helpful with anything. Shes not accessible. I dont even think she knows what shes talking about. Skip lecture. It will not help at all.
I did not learn a single thing in this class. That was probably my fault but I joined the class a little late and was completely lost. When I tried to reach out for help she never responded to my emails. Would probably be a good class if you know whats going on. If the class wasn't online I probably would have failed.
Terrible teacher, I had to teach myself the entire curriculum and that didn't go too well obviously. Lectures don't help at all. Just get a different teacher or waste $1000 to teach yourself.
She does not explain the material very well. Anytime my class would ask a question about how she was getting an answer she would say "I learned this in 3rd grade you should know this" or "Because it is". Would not explain in any way. She does not respond to emails. Is barely understandable because her english is not very good. You teach yourself.
Literally the worst teacher I have ever had. Does not explain anything. You pretty much have to teach yourself. She gives sooo many assignments that are unnecessarily long. If you aren't Stephen hawking and you get her as a professor, switch classes ASAP. (from someone who took AP math's in high school). You'll spend hours teaching yourself.
Professor Sri is a sweet professor. However if you struggle with math, I would recommend taking someone else! Her lectures are not really relevant to the homework. If you use the "Help Me Solve This" button on Pearson, you'd probably do just as fine without showing up to class. Homework helps with quizzes! DO THE PRACTICE EXAMS TO PASS EXAMS!
do not take her. she does not speak good english. all tests are online and the computer gives no partial credit.
do not take. i had to teach myself everything. she has a hard accent. doesnt understand english well.
She is a really nice lady, but I would never take her again for this class. I taught myself the entire course because what was taught in class would not be what the homework was on. She also does not know how to work canvas to put in grades, so you do not know what you currently have in the class. This class was the biggest waste of time and money.
If you talked to her she can help boost your grade on exams and quizzes.
Might as well teach yourself. She just reads off Pearson's PP and has mandatory attendance.
Professor Sri is the best math teacher I have ever had. I sit in her class currently as I write this. Her class is difficult but that is how all math classes are. She reviews every exam and if you go to her for help she will go above and beyond to help you. She may even throw a few bonus points your way for seeking help. Weekly 6 question quizzes
Professor Sri is a very loving and caring professor. It was sometimes hard to understand how she explained things, but once you got it, it was smooth sailing. If you communicate with her, she will help you pass. You have to do the work, but she is overall a great teacher
If you communicate with her that you clearly understand the problem she will give you points back on exams and quizzes.
If you struggle with math I do not recommend taking her. She basically goes through the powerpoints and at times can make the lesson more confusing. She will review your test and give you partial credit if show her you know how to work it out. But again if you do not like math i do not recommend her as a professor.
She's a really nice professor. Sometimes I couldn't understand her at times. However, she does give partial credit on some problems on tests to help boost up your grade. (Thankful for that). Talk to her, and she'll help. It was a bit difficult, but I somehow got through it.
I would not recommend taking this class because she does not actually teach. All she does is go over the power points and does the same exact work on them without actually explaining why you get that answer and how.She automatically assumes that you should know certain stuff even though in the previous class the last semester you didn't learn.
inconsiderate of students and their time
She is too good at math to be a good teacher. She doesn't understand why people have trouble with math, so she has no basis for tips/tricks to remember/figure it out. She rushed through lecture and doesn't give time to respond. She gets frustrated that we aren't understanding the material and instead of slowing down she says "Come on guys it's easy
Attendance counts a lot for your grade which can help or hurt you. She is willing to help and meet with you which is super helpful but I learned everything on my own. The math lab will help as well but you just have to put in a little more effort.
Very understanding and will give you a lot of extra points BUT lot of homework and the quizzes are kinda hard.
horrible
She is so kind, however she teaches class fast. Most of the time I was teaching myself. However, after each test if you go to her, she will give you a ton of extra credit. I would just tell her how hard I studied and she is so understanding and will walk you through it.
Dr. Chilukuri is really caring, but she's not a good professor. She does not post notes before class and goes through lectures fast. I taught myself half of the material. She wants to make sure you understand, but if she is on a time crunch, she will get mad if you don't understand and say we're wasting time. She gives extra bonus points on exams.
I would not recommend this professor whatsoever. She flies through lectures and therefore encourages students to ask questions, yet complains about losing class time due to having to answer so many questions. A common phrase you will hear her say is, "c'mon, guys, I learned this in the third grade." Highly unreasonable expectations.
In the beginning of the semester you will automatically struggle with this class if you are not good at math. After each exam go to her office hours so she can review the test with you. Doing this will get you some extra bonus points and you should be good. Go to tutoring and the math lab for help. Do all hw and quizzes(you do teach yourself).
In the beginning of this course I was doing just fine until the exams. The exams always hurt my grade and I was failing for a lot of the semester. She will give you points back if you go to her after the exams. If you show you care she will help you. I finished with a B. I will say the way she teaches is difficult to learn though.
she makes it difficult to be taught. she barely explains anything, will write something on the board and assume you understand it. her expectations are extremely high and honestly its just really difficult to understand her method of teaching.
...so...personally I couldn't learn much from her lectures because she just reads right off the powerpoint and puts in no effort to explain further. If you can teach yourself then take her because everything is clearly laid out in canvas and the quizzes mimic the hw. If you need a teacher to teach you...dont. BUT she is very very kind, like very
She is not a very good professor. She only reads off the powerpoint and doesn't explain anything. She's good at math but not a good teacher. Would not recommend if you're a full-time student.
So far this teacher has proven to be the most difficult for me. She does not teach well. Will not explain how she did things in class, gets angry when nobody understands what we're going over, and talks down to the class. Prepare to teach yourself how to do everything in this class.
Professor Chilukuri is very kind. She clearly has a passion for math, and is willing to give bonus points and extra credit on all exams, just for asking her for help. The lectures consist of her working out the equations from the notes and she is open to questions. She will work with you to make sure you understand, as long as you actually ASK.
There's no real teaching in the class. If math is very tough for you, don't take her. She just goes by with her ppts. If u think you can pass class just by going over her ppts and self study from other sources, it's great. Easy grade from quiz and homework. Pretty easy exams, lots of lenience and lowest scores get dropped
Sri is a very sweet woman and makes the class laugh a lot but you will have to teach the material to yourself after class if you want to do well in her class. Her quiz's are made up of the easiest homework problems and you'll always get a practice exam that really helps on all exams. if your willing to put in a little extra effort then you'll do ok
Sri is genuinely such a sweet and caring person. She grades attendance heavily because everyone's math grades are low. I love her as a person, but you will teach yourself this entire course. 4 exams, and a quiz with 2 homework every week. You have to be prepared to teach yourself everything. She will help you if you come to her, bc she cares a LOT.
The lectures can be tough, but Prof. Chilukuri is understanding. Use unstuck ai and the free textbook to prep - it really helps. Go to office hours, show you care, and she'll work with you to understand the material.
I was worried going into this class, but my experience was better than I anticipated. She explains things well and moves at a relatively decent pace, but it is easy to get lost. She was better than my trig teacher I had in high School and I feel like I have a general knowledge of the course, which I guess was the goal. Idk if i'd take again.
It's an easy class to pass if you're okay at math. Take her class if you can study on your own; the lectures don't really teach you. There's a lot of homework, a quiz every week, and an exam every month. Attendance is not mandatory, but you get a few bonus points for having no absences.
This teacher can be a little chaotic at times but she means well. Math comes very easy to me but I did know most of the class had a hard time keeping good grades. She moves at a fast pace and gives lots of homework but so does every other math teacher. I would totally take her again.
I love how passionate she was about math and was very forgiving with test corrections (go to her after exams). I also liked the amount of practice questions she did in detail in class. I was never a fan of math before because I didn't think I was good at it but she helped a lot and now its become one of my favorite subjects and best grades.
My experience with Dr Chilukuri was honestly really disappointing to say the least. I took her 112 class last year and it was great but this year she changed into a drill sergeant who didn't care if you understood and would degrade you along the way. Had to go to the dean and chair of the department for help, the dean recommended filing a complaint
Dr. Chilukuri is an amazing math professor because she cares about her students and is extremely passionate about math. While the quizzes and exams suck, as long as you show up to class and do the homework, it is nearly impossible to fail. At the end of the year, I had a B, but I got attendance points and she dropped an exam grade so I got an A.
Dr. Chilukuri was extremely disappointing, to say the least. I witnessed many occasions in which she talked down to her students, and it got so bad that I had to go to the department chair, who refused to help, claiming only the best reviews. I wouldn't recommend this class unless you're willing to deal with constant degradation.
She's nice and absolutely savage sometimes but doesn't explain concepts well. She's also a very busy person and not always available outside of class. But the plus side is, go to the test review and she'll go over your exam with you, if you show that you understand she'll give you credit for it.
Ms. Sri is very nice and very willing to work with you as long as you show the effort that you care about your grades. Lectures can be long sometimes but they are helpful, just make sure if you're having any problems express that with her! Good luck!
She's fun, passionate, and makes math easy if you do the work. Grades on a curve and is very lenient. Go to office hours or the math lab if you're struggling—she's super helpful. Some students mention her accent, but I had no trouble understanding her. I really liked her and would definitely recommend her class!
Amazing professor! Her class was engaging and it is obvious she cares about students. At the end of the semester, I had a B-ish and all of a sudden when she put in final grades I got a 97% in the class. All you have to do is do your work and show up and she will give so many extra credit points. Loved her.
Be prepared to teach yourself 90% of this class. Professor Chilukuri does teach in her lectures, but the way she teaches is so confusing, and she overcomplicates the math very often. She will give 2 extra bonus points on your final exam if you have perfect attendance. She will never cancel class.
She is genuinely so sweet and funny. She cares about her students and gives lots of points back on tests and quizzes. Her lectures are very chill and the class is easy if you do the work. The quizzes and tests are identical to the homework. She is overall just very caring and funny. 10/10 recommend taking her for any math!
It is very hard to understand her and she over complicates everything. Be prepared to teach yourself all of the material. Grades only consisted of quizzes and exams, hw barely counted for anything and there is a test every week and a pop up quiz every week. Be prepared to struggle.
Mrs.Sridevi is a hard class however it was great learning experience. I learned so much about math and even though my grade wasn't great I took a lot away. Pro tips would be to get to know her and get a good study partner. Use the Office hours!
Very kind professor, if you sit in the front and show initiative in class she'll bend over backwards to help you out when struggling with your grade
