One of the best MGMT teachers in the area
This guy is great. A little kool a*s Indian Teacher. Do what he says and you will do good and gives you many chances to pass his class. He will mostly work with you on any problem.
Mr. K is awesome!!! You will learn a lot from his class and he is really easy. Take him for as many classes as you can. It's an easy "A"!
This guy is awsome. I have taken him for 3 classes now and had a great time in each one of them. He makes class fun. If you take him for MGMT class you will watch movies. Just make sure you pay attention to them. Just read, the damn tests come from the movies and the book. Lastly He is funny as hell, just think a little old guy from india :)
Probably the most interesting management class I have taken at ODU, he has a different perspective being that he is Indian.
The Best Teacher I've E-V-E-R had! Classes are definately interactive, but Dr. K makes it fun and funny. He definately encourages participation. If u participate at least once/class, you'll have an A. He's very forgiving on tests and deadlines.

Mr K is a nice guy with a lot of Management experience to back up the material. Still, most classes are a waste of time and the only reason I ever went is because he took attendance.
Mr. K is a short funny little man who's a descent professor even though he actually makes you read the entire text book, because all your quizes come directly from it. Fair grader and easy to talk to. You have to not care at all to fail his class.
Very helpful in helping you understand things in the class. Is very clear spoken to be a foreign teacher even though you can't read his writing on the board (Inside joke) Very understanding that all students can't be 100% school 100% of the time. Read your book, do the quizzes (which are on blackboard), and study for the exams and you will be ok
Great person, but not a great professor. The classes were kind of unorganized and you really didn't know that you were getting in to. He would assign reading and extra credit opportunities, but would forget about it and disregard it. I don't like unorganization, so I wouldn't take him again.
Funny guy! Class is interesting becasue of him. Tests are fair, quizzes are fair. He is willing to help you out. His handwriting needs some work { :-) } but he is a very clear speaker. Great class!
Great teacher and a great man
This professor knows his stuff, but never wants to communicate with the students. Phone calls are never answered, and e-mails just fall into a black hole in his computer. A nice man - but badly in need of retirement.
his classes were VERY unstructured. had lots of assignments on syllabus, but didn't end up doing most of them. was VERY disorganized. nice person, but horrible as a teacher. i would not take him again, especially not for any math/statistics class! however, some tests were all multiple choice and exact questions from "study guide" questions he gave.
HORRIBLE. he thought we were funny but hated some people's lack of attendance. tests were not hard, but threw a bad curve ball on final to punish us for our classmates poor attendance. he told us what to study, but then put some other random stuff instead. i had good grade in class and then failed the final. DONT TAKE HIM! very disorganized!
Very helpful Professor. Gives real insight on topics covered. Information learned will prove to be helpful in the real world. Study his reviews and text material to do well!
His teaching style must have change since last year. He teaches stuff that isn't going to be on the test at all. He gives work that doesn't matter and won't really help you for tests. He likes to embarrass students. Very unorganized. You watch videos that aren't important. You could learn more from just staying at home and reading the book.
He is very scattered brained. He changes his tune weekly and I would not take another class from him is my life depended on it.
He is an okay teacker, but his test are no joke, you need to study!!!! Good luck if you take him...
Prof K is a nonconventional teacher but a very good one. Must put in the effort to get an A but every doable. You either like him or you don't! Students think they can do no work and get an A! If you go to class, read your assignments and show you are interested you should do very well. He wants everyone to do well, took him twice and got A's!!!!
Very strange teacher. Started out liking him but he makes fun of students. Somehow I managed to get a B in the class but he changes the syllabus all the time, changes whats going to be on the tests, and sometimes just doesn't grade parts of the test. If you participate and study its not that hard just don't get on his bad side.
Gives out no review, must read the book! Very unclear of what we need to know for his test. He is really funny, and the class is fun, but VERY HARD EXAMS!
Dr. K is a funny guy. I thought his lectures were pretty interesting and the class was a breeze as long as you studied the study guide questions. I thought it was very easy and easy to understand the concepts. I would take another class with him.
International Business: Great course...great prof! Answers to exams are given before all tests in a 200 question study guide. Allows multiple extra credit assignments. Excellent class!
By far the best professor at ODU. I got more out of his class in one semester then all of my previous mgmt classes combined. He has a very unconventional teaching method. Don't expect to sit back and watch power point presentations. He will make you contribute to class discussions. I don't think that he gives anyone below a c.
Did not use powerpoints for lectures which made the class much more interesting. The professor had a sense of humor which also helped to make the class interesting. This is, hands down, the best class and professor I have taken at ODU.
He is funny and has a great sense of humor but outside of class he doesn't answer emails and hardly answers the phone. Good luck with that. And he showed between 1-4 videos each class and we had to write a one page analysis on EACH! Test came straight from study guide. If you studied...test was a piece of cake. Overall...not bad.
Mr. K is hilarious. Classes nvr boring. He will give you like 10 extra credit assignments if you ask for them but doesn't appear to actually factor them into your grade. Does not give anyone below a C, grades seem to be based on your participation in class and how much he knows you and how much you try. Gave me a B when I know I failed the final.
This is easily one of the best teachers I've ever had. I would highly recommend him to anyone considering taking a class with him. Study guides make tests super easy. You have to write a lot but its not too bad and he seems like an easy grader on the papers. Wonderful professor who teaches you a lot about business and life, and is *hilarious*

He is hard to understand since he practically whispers. He does fill in the blanks that are like impossible to get right. The only good thing was that he gave practice tests.
Mr. K will give you every question to the test about a week before taking it. This class is based on memorizing the test questions and trying to "BS" the fill in the blank questions.TONS of extra credit opportunities,including extra credit for attendance. Sometimes he can be confusing in what he wants, but there is no reason not to get a good grade
LOVED this clss! Mr. K is very enthusiastic about the material and will help you do well in his class. We watched videos on real life examples and wrote 2, 2 pages papers. Final was either a 12pg paper or a non cumulative test, with "study guide." 4 tests overall, but don't let that scare you. I only wish he taught more mgmt classes! TAKE HIM!
Horrible teacher! AVoid at all costs! He focuses on discipline rather than studies. He will stop a class session for several minutes at a time several times a class just to complain about students. It makes it extremely difficult to pay attention when he consistently talks about disciplining students. HORRIBLE TEACHER!!!!
Don't expect to read the whole book b/c he will tell you exactly what you need to know. Whatever you do, study the study questions and you will get a A or B. Short answers/fill in blank on exams are tough. He also randomly collects notes and calls on people sometimes, which is annoying. Does not use powerpoint slides.
Mr. K has a great time in class. He loves to make fun of students who are slackers or have bad attitudes and is not afraid to call them out. He is hilarious though. The class is there for your enjoyment, and fill in the blank questions ARE from the lecture. However the majority of your grade is you memorizing the test bank he gives you.
Very helpful and has an interesting class. Very funny and nice man. Most of questions on the test come from the quizzes. He also allowed people to make up work when they missed class.Highly reccomend taking his class.
Overall frustrated with this class; he seems to be making it up as he goes; has 'surprise' assignments almost every class because he's irritated that some are absent. So why punish those of us who are present? He is kinda funny, but seems to only relate to marketing as it applies to his convenience store. Not very open-minded. Stereotypes often.
He is a horrible teacher. He doesn't use powerpoints except talk on top of his head. He puts up quizzes for each chapter of 50 questions each. He'll make you watch videos and write a paper about it and never ask for it. He also would go over chapter and ask you questions if you don't know an answer he would make fun of you for it.Avoid him!
Dr K is hands down one of the best professors I have ever had. Take home quizzes are open book and not timed, the papers are 1 page responses an he only cares that you did them. Weeks before the exam he will literally give you the questions and answers to the test. I got an A an those people who did bad are the those that did not apply themselves.
This was the worst class I have ever taken. Seriously had no idea what was due and when. Yeah he gives a syllabus but whats the point he doesn't go by it at all. I didn't learn a thing. He you can take someone else. He will drive you crazy.
He is a little indian guy. He is a very good teacher but the most unorganized teacher i have ever had. he does not remember stuff that he gives you and sometimes you end up doing assignments that he never grades. He thinks he is all that because he is from india. but his class is easy, so take him if you want to. good luck with getting things back
Pretty terrible class. I've heard he's a smart man that knows what he is talking about, but this lecture was huge and hands down the most awkward environment I've been in. There isn't a lecture, it's just him walking around asking open ended questions that don't have a right / wrong answer, but he always says you're wrong. I didn't learn adamnthing
I LOVED THIS CLASS! Dr. K is a great teacher! Basically attend class, read the book, take quiz on chapter and pass the test! Video Reports are also required but they are short and easy. Just watch video and write a page or more on it. SOOOOO EASY!
First off, Dr. K is kind of hard to understand. But, as long as you take the online quizzes (which are SOO easy - straight from the textbook), type up 2 page video reports, you will be fine. His test reviews have the EXACT questions that are on the test. EASY PEASY! Take Dr. K!
He is a very good teacher. Very linient and cares about his students. He is not very clear about assignments, so you have to stay on top of all the information that is going on. He also doesn't give specific guidelines for the papers, therefore you have to do your best. You learn a lot and the class is interactive.
The class is pretty easy, and material comes straight from the books. He is never clear on what he wants assignment wise, and he hates receiving emails from students. Make sure you stay on top of your grades, he posted the wrong final grade for me and didn't even realize.
No feedback on assignments, wildly differing requirements for what needs to be turned in. Probably an insomniac, or senile, the required assignments change from week to week, class to class, several students ask to clarify what he wants turned in, only to be confused. Very experienced in the professional world, but does not moderate well at all.
Take him if you want an easy A or B. If you actually want to learn something, then take someone else. He could never make up his mind as to which assignments he wanted us to do. He would assign work for next class but when we got to class, he'd forgotten about it or had moved on to something new. I didn't learn anything but got a good grade.
He teaches unconventionally. For all reviews of him being scatterbrained, this is actually deliberate. He does this out of real experience (He owns a store called ISKA in Military Hwy, among other things) to keep students on their toes; "a lesson in management, the business world is unpredictable" he says. Do the work, and keep up, you'll do well.
Lectures are interesting conversations that relate to real world experience. During discussions, he will put you on the spot a few times to challenge you throughout the semester, but you will definitely learn something valuable from him. Read the book, do the online quizzes, study the test reviews. Certainly not an easy A
Class is extremely easy. It's really embarrassing to not get an A (or at least a B). But a B would be embarrassing, still. I really enjoyed this class. Yes, it was boring but this man has A LOT OF KNOWLEDGE. I learned more from him than the actual book. Most of the time, we didn't even talk about management, but life in general. TAKE HIM!
Very good Professor. Talks about real life situations more than the actual book. One of the smartest professors I have had and really wants the students to do well. MUST TAKE!
Worst professor I've ever had. Absolutely no structure to class. He teaches one way, but tests another. No guidance on what to do for papers, or even when they are do. No way of actually figuring out your grade on Black-Board since BB has a straight weight, and his syllabus uses a percentage base. DO NOT TAKE! YOU WILL HATE LIFE!
He does not teach from the book, but does test on it. Let us take one test online. If you are looking for structured, don't take this class, just read the book. If you want to learn things you will not learn anywhere else, take this guy. He is soo smart. I enjoyed his class and discussions.
I enjoyed his lectures because they were based on real life experiences. His assignments could be a little confusing. I do recommend taking this class. When writing the papers be as specific as possible and support with book and other sources and do take online quizzes because they do help with tests!
Prof K is a cool teacher. What he says in class doesnt have much to do with what is on the test's, but what he says is good for the real world. Fair class. Few papers, few test, just read the text. He does not want to fail anyone, so he tries his best to be fair with his students.
Dr. K was an awesome professor. he just forgot about assignments a lot. It was not unusual to come to class with an assignment done, and he'd just "extend" the due date. Relies heavily on no structure, because he says the business world mirrors it.
Good teacher, tells lots of real life stories to relate to the material. Quiz for each chapter, and random papers on videos we watched. Final exam was optional depending on your grade. Good teacher, with some really great insight. If I could describe him in one word it would be, wise.
Professor K is a really nice guy but nothing that he talks about in class relates to the tests or quizzes that he gives. You have to attend class though because he likes to give in class assignments and assign out of class assignments. There were 3 tests, 3 Video Reports, Participation Grade, and the various in class and out of class assignments.

I dread, dread, dread, going to this class every week. He has to much work or is just lazy. Never gives back papers or any feedback, he just criticizes the class as a whole. Does not provide percentages of how much each assignment is worth. Other students sing his praises but the work is so annoying and unhelpful, like the teacher. I want out.
Classes are boring, he randomly gives vague assignments and doesn't post them to BB so you play hell if you miss it. He's very unclear on everything, slow to grade, no feedback, talks down to everyone, spends too much time with useless stories. Dr. K is the man! Go to class because he will give random assignments. You will learn about real life applications of management. At home, you must read the book to pass the tests. I worked for my A but don't take this class lightly. This class is interesting and a must take! Best of luck out there!
Professor K is a little all over the place, he gets of topic but he wants you to do well. He gives out random assignments a lot, so you need to be in class. It is impossible to fail this class though. He gives you study questions for tests, and read the book. Lots of papers but easy topics. Do well, and he exempts you from exams.
Funny professor... But extremely extremely unclear. He does not follow the syllabus and gives out papers like nothing. He gives out so much work that if you bombed a test, it would barely affect you. He's a good professor but expects A LOOOTTT out of his students. Oh, and he doesn't give out A's easily.
Absolute worst teacher I have ever had. Beats around the bush when answering questions and all he does is ask questions. He assigns a paper on about everything we do. Ten papers due on the same day. I hate going to the class, it is the most boring three hours of my life. DO NOT TAKE HIS CLASS.
Professor K, has a different way of doing things. He attempts to create an environment that requires the class to work as a team, to find out what assingments are due and how to do them. Take notes on all viedos as you will be writing papers on them, The test are superhard and from thebook notthe lecture. The lecture tellsyou what hewants on papers
I like Mr K. Class was fun n engaging for me. Take the quizzes to help prepare you for tests. Take good notes, stay on top of the work, and write solid papers, and you're golden. Sometimes assignments are not graded, or not returned with feedback, so it can be disappointing.it's entirely possible to be successful in this class.Don't regret taking.
Overall, Mr. K is a good (not great) instructor. If you want structure, WRONG teacher. If you want real life application, right teacher. If you want an "A", you must apply yourself, read all the material, and study (which I did not, but got a "B"). His classroom lectures are interesting and entertaining. He can be confusing at times. You decide! :)
His lectures are a rambling mess, so read the textbook. His tests are obviously from a test bank and you will not pass without the textbook. I was interested in the course walking in, but I was overjoyed to be done by the end. He made each lecture feel painfully long.
The MGMT 325 classes differs, but I was in the web conference course and every writing assignment he gave was confusing as far as when they are due. He does not put due dates in the syllabus except tests. The writing assignmentspapers did not have a set due date and that was an issue if you actually would like to start your assignments early.
The class itself is easy. It is primarily busy work. His tests are easy, they are an exact copy of his test reviews. He teaches out of the book only, no powerpoints. He isn't really helpful, so be prepared to do everything on your own. Overall, an easy class to pass, just kind of annoying.
I took his as a web conference class and he acted like it was an in class course. He did not want anything emailed and made class so difficult. DO NOT take him if you are out of state/country. Get a REAL online teacher.

His papers doesn't make much sense he didn't give a guide or grading criteria, that was probably the hardest thing. Test were easy as long as you did the study guide. Will need textbook.
Since Professor K is unorganized, does not know where we left off in each class, forgets assignments and even what he said in the previous class, tests on omitted material, constantly changes due dates, spends much of class time on baseless discussions, his grading scale is 75 or 85 on the very few manually graded but most heavily weighted assignme
I took this professor for MGMT 325 and learned a lot from him. Unfortunately, he is very unorganized in MGMT 361, consistently rants about Donald Trump, very rude to some students who share a different opinion than him, and doesn't answer your questions without making a sarcastic remark. His tests and quizzes are easy.
Ironically how he's teaching Management but sooo unorganized with EVERYTHING! Def need to read the textbook for quizzes and tests. He gives papers like you're a grad and taking only his class. Easy to pass but not an easy A.
He's a nice/funny guy, but should not be a professor. It was a constant struggle to converse with him & ask any questions WHATSOEVER. Therefore, the entire class was constantly confused about due dates for everything because he never clarified anything & then made people feel dumb when they asked about anything they were unsure of. Easy B but not A
He has you write a lot of papers on videos that he shows in class. Gives online quizzes. At the end of each class he will ask you what you learned that day, and he really hates the word "Basically". The class is easy to pass, just a lot of work and he can be very irritating.
You don't really need much to pass this class. I took it online and i was fine, just do the quizzes and study them and you will get an A on the tests. Just beware of the papers, they count for a significant amount of your grade. Very easy class just he makes it harder to deal with all the work.
No structure/organization. Lectures are useless and full of inappropriate jokes. Hes forgetful. Constantly loses TESTS and assignments. Makes up irrelevant assignments off the top of his head and gives little to no instruction, just expects you to guess. I don't think he reads them, everyone gets similar grades (80-90 range). He should retire.
The tests were all pooled from quiz questions of the book, and he required a short paper from videos he showed in class before every test. His lectures are discussion based and his comments can easily offend someone. However, he's a super nice guy and let us retake quizzes to get higher scores. Hes super forgiving, take him for an easy A.
He is an unorganized hot mess, he does not tell you when there is a quiz etc, doesn't teach anything in the class, and expects you to perform well on quizzes. He is horrible!!! Do n it take him, you will learn nothing at all ! This class is a waste of time, he is rude to students, gives fake grades because he doesn't read papers and other asignment
By far one of my favorite professors. Easy class if you show up, and participate in class discussions which are usually very interesting. Quizzes and Tests are easy if you just read the textbook, yes you will use the textbook a lot. Funny, and great sense of humor (unless you get offended easily don't take him). He wants to help everyone pass.
Professor K is a man who is very passionate and experienced on the topic and wants everyone to succeed. He can be a bit hard to follow at times and will not tolerate bs. Can be unorganized at times but will fix whatever is wrong. He isnt for everyone but if you show up and contribute to the discussions he will work with you and you will do well.
He's really cool but dont expect an A unless you're one of those "know-it-alls". Easy class tbh. Its interactive, there's papers, 3 tests i believe. Its not a hard class and he'll allow you to submit work if yo're missing it closer to the end of the semester.
According to the majority of my online class, we all got together in an online chat and discovered that most of us received identical grades. This led most of us to believe that he wasn't actually reading our papers but instead just throwing out random grades. He takes forever to respond to emails (if you are lucky) and prefers to talk on the phone
Wrote a review for 325 and pretty much same for 361. He is a man who has a lot of real world experience and is knowledgeable about the real world. He is not for everyone as he does not have a typical method of teaching. Classes revolve around discussions not powerpoints. He can be unorganized but will fix whatever is wrong. Easy grade, cool dude
Very unorganized on all levels, when addressed he said (to entire class) that is what the real world is like so figure it out and if that scares you change fields. Normal response time about 2-3weeks, also wants you to call his personal cell and will call you back around 11pm. Best advice is study on your own you will learn more and pass the tests.
He is very sarcastic and often offensive to his students. Most of his responses to questions come off as condescending. Hes very unorganized which makes it hard to plan around your schedule. His syllabus is useless because he doesnt use due dates or even follow it. He assigns papers but doesnt give a grading rubric. Dont take his class!
I am in his class and he makes no sense. I am a senior and it was an accident that I signed up but too late to drop. He has no dates for his syllabus so you have no idea when anything is due. No clue on how to take the exams and no where to submit your work. He believes this course is SO important but he does not bother to make is clear at all.
This professor has no structure. He does not follow the syllabus, and gives in-class assignments to be turned in next period, that he may or may not collect. (Honestly, I think he usually forgets). Prides himself on not giving A's, even if you manage to earn one, even though you never know what's actually graded. Easy class if you want a B-
The tests and studying material was normal but the video reports and the feedback was lacking. He wasn't clear with what he wanted from the video reports and because of that no one got over a B. When we asked him what he wanted all he said was, "Be creative". He doesn't give good feedback and he only responds to half of the emails and phonecalls.
Very unorganized and aloof. Syllabus does not include dates and is subject to change at his whim. He responded to 3 of my 23 emails over the course of the semester. No feedback given on reports (not sure he reads them). He refused to give me feedback on phone/email, and made me drive 3 hours to meet him in person. Expert, but not teacher.
Dr. K is not your average professor, but if you show interest and engage in the class, he will work with you. He isn't your typical "by the book" grader, but seeks creativeness and interpretation from class - to the real world. Very caring about his students as he sees us to hold the future of business, and world. HOWEVER not the most organized
I have so much respect for "Professor K". If you go to class and participate you will learn useful life information from him that goes beyond the textbook. I am a senior and he has been my favorite professor hands down. He goes out of the way to help his students any way he can in any situation. There needs to be be more professors like him!!!
Prof. K is one of the professors that I would miss the most. Tests are mostly from his quizzes (on Blacboard), and he also puts some short answer questions so definitely read the articles from the book/Blackboard. If you need help, the best way is to call him/go to his office (always avail) Come to class cause he loves giving in-class assignments!
I took this class from home watching the live courses. I will say the best advice is to talk in class even if your not in the classroom. It makes the class a lot of fun. I know a few people in my class did not like his grading on the papers we had to write, but I think he did fine. We didn't write what exactly he wanted us too.
