My favorite professor this semester. He can be loud during lectures. His accent is very understandable--the only common pronunciation mistake is "w" and "v" switching. There's so much I can say that has already been said. All I'm going to say is all the reviews are correct, **do not take this class with Prof Srini.**

Bad professor. Skims over material, does not fully teach concepts and gets upset when people ask questions. Super unapproachable and talks so fast and has a thick accent so it is impossible to understand when he is "teaching". DONT TAKE HIM!

Please listen to us. You will never meet his expectations. He brags about exam averages being 64% (NO RETAKES); takes pride in student failure. 30%+ credit removed from homework question credit for getting a homework question wrong ONE TIME. No safe space to make mistakes. If you ask a question, he will respond with an interrogation.

The students in this class fail to try and just blame the teacher, students complain when they don't even work to pay attention or understand the material in class, and when they perform poorly they just blame the teacher. His lectures are okay and he skims over stuff, but always explains something if they need it.

Many students don't bother to try and then blame it on Professor Iyengar. He does often skim during lectures, but this is college, you obviously have to put in work outside of class. If a student has a question he will go through the slides just to ensure that their question has been properly answered. He also seems very passionate about chemistry.

Don't understand why the chemdept won't help students. Any review here blaming the student for not trying hard enough is Prof. I's writing. He had major typos on 2nd exam cost each of us 15 pts; he won't do anything about it. Other questions made no sense; AI's cannot help. Dept Chair won't help. Students negatively impacted by his ineptitude.

Not a good prof. Reads off the slides and doesn't explain. Homework was extremely difficult and lined up with nothing during class, even AIs didn't know what to do. If you have a choice take this class in the fall with a different prof.

Lecture & exam material is very hard to understand. Even though he seems to be passionate about his work, he doesn't know how to convey that properly in his teaching and overcomplicates things. AI's do a great job, but there is only so much that they can do to help a mass amount of students that don't understand the material as well.

Sincerely, don't do it. I like not to judge a teachers right off the bat, but this course is a horrible experience. All he does is point at work problems than work them through in front of you and expects you to grasp what's going on. The homework is nothing compared to his story-like lectures. For your success and mental wellbeing, zon't zo it.

He flies through material and does not answer any questions. He just points at the slide and does not work through any of the problems. Tests were ridiculously hard for no reason. Do not take this class with him.

He was not a very good at covering the material thoroughly. He would go through practice problems, but he would not go step by step. He would just show the whole problem worked out and expect you to know how to do it. Homework problems were very time consuming, and you have to go to office hours several times a week for help on the problems.

Not a very good professor. He brags about exam averages being 60%, and how his class average is a C-. If you ask a question in class, get ready to be put down and feel like an inconvenience. In exam 2, he had so many typos we got 15 points back. Also had really hard lecture quizzes that were not easy to understand because of typos. -20/10.

Not a good professor. He tends to say "everyone understand? yes? okay we move on." when probably most of the class has no idea what he had just said. Exams are nothing like practice exams... every time I went into the exam I felt extremely prepared, then read the questions and have never seen anything like it before.

for any positive reviews, you should know he's currently being investigated for discrimination against students with disabilities. tells disabled students they must choose between accommodations for exams and other classes bc he won't move exam time for a test he doesn't proctor. the experience was traumatizing. please don't take his class.

If you aren't going to put in effort outside of class, you will struggle. Lectures were organized well but often too fast. Homework's took awhile, and were MUCH harder than exams. I enjoyed his approach, but put in a lot of work outside of class in order to succeed. I think the largest problem is his inconsistency to level with students.

This professor was my only option for C117. If you can take this course in a different semester to get a different lecturer, DO IT! He does not do a good job at explaining introductory topics to students and his in-lecture examples are difficult to connect to the concept at hand. I have heard him verbally berate students in office hours.

I've never heard a professor brag about a 60% average on an exam, but here we are. 90% of the stuff on the exam and HW isn't discussed in class, be prepared to do a lot of outside work, you will want go to TA office hours if you want any chance of passing. The only good thing I can say about him is that he's passionate about what he's teaching.

One of the most caring and passionate professors I have ever had. Def is a polarizing professor, as he explains things really fast, but is super helpful in answering questions especially if you go to office hours. He is the perfect professor for someone that actually wants to learn quantum mechanics!!
