CHM1045 LAB - She is nice. The Lab part is easy. You can turn in the lab work whenever. Test are online in Blackbook. The tests are REALLY hard and don't have a lot to do with the labs from class. This class takes way more time then a 1 credit class deserves.

She is an easy professor as long as your interested. You have to do your work but she answers any and all questions and is there to help. Thankful I took her!!! Some complained of a language barrier but it was those who didn't do their work anyways. Give her a chance

Took her CHM Lab. If you do not pass her class then something is wrong with YO. She is SUPER easy and goes over everything with you. She will explain whatever you do not understan. Tests are out of class and on-line. You will learn a lot and will help you to understand what you need to know in your lecture class. LOVE THIS TEACHER & is VERY SMART.

Had her for lab. If you didn't understand what to do she's help you, or demonstrate to the class. Sh gives HW in the lab manual, but without it i'd probably not know what to do for lab. online quizzes so you can use your textbook and it's more helpful. She offers so much opportunities to help her students succeed. We had six tests including the final exam. Of those six tests, she would dropped the lowest grade INCLUDING the final example. With that being said, the final exam was OPTIONAL. If you end up with a B+ and completed all of her homework, she would cheerfully boosts your grade up to an A.

I have so much fun in this lab and my grade is an A. Professor explains the chemistry involves with the work very well. She cares so much for the students and wants everybody to succeed. Love this professor.

Love this professor. She truly know chemistry and it shows when she explains to the class all the confused issues. She does care about her students and sometimes adds her old experiences in her careers to explains theory in chemistry. Very Strict Professor. I wore flip flops to the lab. and she politely asked me to change my shoes or not working in the lab on that day. Her tests are online so it won't interfere with the lab work on that day. Very organized and give helps if asked.

This professor is one of the best professor I have had. Many told me Chemistry is very hard, but with this professor you will understand what Chemistry is all about. She explains clearly and if you dont understand she will help you understand. Very helpful, very nice, and funny. You still have to do your part in studying! You wont regret it.

Who ever heard of chemistry being fun and easy? I have when I took this professor. She makes sure you pass and obtain the grade you desire in her class. She provided test and quizzes for you to take as extra credit and practice. So that way once the real test are given you know exactly what you're doing. Excellent teacher!!!!

She saved my GPA. I took the lab with her and passed with an A and I had the lecture with another prof and failed but I found out she taught the lecture as well and I passed. She will help you all the time. Before or after class, she will sit down with you and teach you whatever you don't understand.

She is a great teacher. she understands chemistry is hard to learn and tries her best to work with you . she offers you extra credit and does a review before every test. Sometimes you have to harass her so she can unlock the online quizzes for extra credit but over all this is a class that you can pass as long as you put some effort

Overall professor Yasui was a great professor, i hated chemistry but once i took her class i was passing all my test. she gives study reviews for all the tests including exams, there's only four tests. this is also an online class. she can go off task and be forgetful sometimes. But i passed with an A, good luck (:

she is sometimes confusing- goes off track but finds her way back. she gives reviews for exams and offers extra credit for doing things that will help you retain the information. she will only cover the main ideas- be ready to use youtube for explanations on some things. she's a really nice lady though- playful and sweet.

Took her for lecture and lab, it was her first year at PBSC. For lecture theirs 5 tests and she drops the lowest grade. Quizzes and HW are optional and for extra credit. She put some the quizzes and some tests online so that was easy. Also for the final she let us use our notes. For lab just show up their was no tests or anything just experiments.

If you have to take Chemistry, Professor Yasui is the best. She cares about her students, she knows it's a tough subject and helps students as much as she can. I took her accelerated class for the last session of summer. She emails a review before every exam, tons of extra credit. So what she has an accent, it's not an issue

She gives extra credits and very understanding about students' hardship. My daughter was ill on one of the test day and she let me made up the test. She explains very well and use a lot of analogies so the material stick to our memories. She drops one lowest grade and that is very helpful to many students. Love this professor.

Chm1046 is very difficult but she offers so many extra credits and she offers reviews before each test. She will drop one lowest grade from final average. You have to do your study in order to get good grade.

Professor Yasui is the best. She's a kind lady who can sometimes ramble and go too fast but if the class doesn't get it she'll laugh and say "ok, lets try again!" and go slower and from a different approach and really makes you understand it using real ife situations. She gives plenty of extra credit & drops your lower test grade (final optional)

I barely did any of the lab q's &I got an A for the lab. For the lecture, she gives a lot of extra credit + drops the lowest grade.. if you have a 75, she'll give you a B, if you have an 85, youll get an A etc.. I had a 65 & somehow she gave me a B. she's so sweet & understanding& said she understands its a hard class & doesnt want to fail us!

Gives a review before every exam and also reviews that same review right before the test! very sweet, caring & understanding! The bad reviews make me sad because she truly does care about her students and their success! she understands the material is hard & will help you if you just ask. she gives extra credit quizzes and EC work! take her!!!

She is great! If you come to class do your labs and the exams you can pass. She will answer any questions you have and is hilarious. She can ramble a bit but I'd rather that then a stone cold professor. I definitely recommend her!

I definitely recommend taking Professor Yasui for Chemistry Lab! She's great! Go to class and do your labs, and you'll easily pass. The content isn't complex. And, if you have any questions, she's more than willing to help you out!

She doesnt put much effort into the lab. You walk in, do the lab, and leave. Theres no lecture or explanation of whats going on. She does help if you ask. The book is really bad this time as well, and offers very little explanation or formulas. The lab never took more than 2 hours. No final, drops lowest report grade.

Easy A!!! As long as you do all of the work, it's impossible to not do well. "Practicals" are not hard. You have to do a pre lab and post lab which take up the most time. Labs only take an hour or two max. Usually they are short as long as you know what you are doing. Definitely take her if you can.

Prof Yasui gives ample extra credit with each exam and is more than happy to explain a concept before and after class if you're struggling. She is extremely intelligent but sometimes is hard to understand due to her accent & being soft spoken. She drops your lowest test grade & will accept extra credit late. She really wants you to succeed

Yasui is the BEST PROFESSOR EVER. I took her for Chem 1 AND Chem 2 lab, and I got an A both semesters. Just do the pre-labs and post-labs, and you will be completely fine. She tells you exactly whats going to be on midterm and final practical exams, I always got 100% on them. She really wants her students to succeed. Shes very helpful!

She is a great professor and she really cares about her students. Chemistry is tough but she made the class super easy. Show up to class, do your labs and youre golden!

Professor Sritana is definitely different. Her labs are pretty work heavy and requires a good amount of writing but as long as you follow her formats and do all the work theres no reason to not pass the class with good grades. Also her practicals are also really easy and shes always there to help you out

She truly wants her students to be successful. She gives a lot of opportunities for students to get a good grade in her class and is willing to help! You need to take the responsibility upon yourself to read the lab manual and follow the procedure. Shes available as a resource, but no reason for a college student to be spoon fed the info!

I loved CHM lab! Though Prof Yasui does not really explain labs in depth, she helps you with anything you need and wants you to be successful. Some times she would get upset if we asked too many questions, but don't let that stop you. She will laugh about it and still explain the questions well.

13 Sections she uses Knewton, 2 tries on quizzes ( same questions) 13 quizzes, she reminds you when class work is due and push the date back if everyone did not complete it. 2 discussion and 2 assignments lowest grade gets dropped in each section. Id definitely take her again. 5 Exams 2 proctored & 3 not proctored questions come from Knewton quiz

She gave study guide before each exam and will drop one lowest exam grade. Great professor, I learned plenty about chemistry from this class.

I have her both lecture and lab. The lab is great, she gave all the answers for any challenging questions. She will drop the lowest exam grade and she gives plenty of extra credits.

She is very generous with late assignments and give a lot of extra credits. She gave 2 attempts for exams.

This has been my favorite college professor. I learned so much with her and actually looked forward to attending her class. Professor Yasui was always respectful, patient, honest, and friendly. When I didn't understand a concept, she would break it down to Layman's terms, without dumbing it down. There's no failing her class if you put effort in.

This is one of the best Professor at North. She breaks down chemistry so easy that anyone will pass her class. This class was 100% online. Weekly quizzes and discussions. If you do the assignment, you will get an easy A. I will take her again

She is pretty amazing! Long as you do the lab reports correctly you will pass the class with an A. She gives multiple chance to correct your mistake and she is very helpful.

This prof has a specific teaching style, but if you engage with it, you'll learn a lot. Definitely use resources like Unstuck ai, ChatGPT, and the free textbook to supplement the lectures. Just stay focused and you'll do well in this class.

Very difficult class and fast paced. But an understanding professor, she gave us an extra shot on the second exam because the class was having trouble with the concepts. Aleks is brutal, but she kept hw and module open all semester until day before grades due, so you had ample time to complete it and get 100% Go to ASC for help! Must work hard.

I had her for both lab and lecture, both classes were easy. Assignments for lecture were through Aleks and they were open until the semester ended. For all tests we had to take we had multiple attempts. The ASC was the biggest help ever when I was stuck on a certain assignment. She rarely used the textbook, but we did take notes.

Took prof Yasui for lecture and lab. Easy A! Her lectures are not the most organized and could definitely be a skip but everything is online using aleks. Not that difficult if you watch the videos provided on aleks and looking up the unit on youtube is super helpful too. Her labs are very simple and I was always done early. Take!

sweet teacher with a good sense of humor. The class lectures weren't very helpful, attendance not mandatory. Entire workload on aleks and was manageable when watching YouTube videos. Basically a self-taught course but all tests were based off homework w multiple attempts. Work open entire semester. Lab was an easy A and always ended 2 hours early

The lecture for this course is on the online platform "aleks". Including exams, and homeworks. They are tedious which is why I received a C in the class because I waited until the last minute to try and complete some of the assignments. It's all self paced. Prof Yasui is nice though pay attention and stay on top of the work and you will pass!
