Awesome teacher. Accounting is tough stuff, but she makes it easy, fun, and well worth the time. I don't think I've learned so much in one class. Homework is fair, and no surprises at all on the tests. Offers extra credit (5% grade boost.. yea 5%!) Do the hw, show up, participate, and you'll do fine. (can drop one test also)

Great teacher! It's a tough subject but she's fair and makes it fun. You'll know what to expect on tests. Very approachable and friendly. Definitely take her class instead of Champagne or Haney.

Her instruction was very good and grading is fair. The work load in this class was huge. Plan on spending 10-15 hours per week outside of class on HW and projects. This was one of the hardest and most difficult classes I have ever had. Good Luck!

Great teacher that makes a mind numbing subject relatively easy to learn. Awesome grading scale: 5 tests with 1 drop, up to 5% extra credit, and NO suprises on the tests or quizzes!

Excellent teacher. Very respectful and easy to work with. You don't have to get an "A" on every test to get an overall "A". You must be willing to put forth the effort and she will work with you. Highly recommended.

Great Teacher!!! She knows the accounting inside out. LOTS OF WORK!!! Which is good for preparation, I think it's a little excesive though on the homework and projects. It's a very hard class, but if you are willing to do the work, and persevere you will get a good grade Mrs Adams see the effort each student puts on and she will help you get better

Stacey Adams is probably the best teacher I've had during my college career. She is extreamly knowledgeable, helpful and really cares about her students. It's Accounting, so you've got to do the work, it's no walk in the park. If you go to class, do your homework and put in a little effort, you should pass with ease. She also offers Extra Credit.

Explains really good and know the material, this class is not easy, you have to earn your grade, I got an A in the class but I work really hard for the grade, one group presentation, drops lowest test, and chapter quizzes every class. If you are an accounting major you MUST take her! she is GREAT!!!

Awesome! She was one of my better teachers at AVC. She always helped those who needed it and was always available for office hours. Also she emails back very promptly. You do have to do the work but if you keep at it there shouldn't be a problem. Great teacher!

I loved Mrs. Adam's class. I took her as a requirement for my major, but instead of really looked into switching over to be an accounting major! She is not a very hard teacher if you pay attention and do not slack off. The work is required to do and is highly recommended to keep your grade up. Study for tests and quizzes!

Professor Adams is just amazing, she knows what its like to be on your seat and can relate to the occassional drollness that is accounting, but she tries very hard to keep it lively and i learned a lot in her class, simply amazing teacher and very entertaining, my advice is practice XD

Your biggest enemy is TIME not her or the HW. It took me about 3-4hrs to do HW, but it is NOT hard & i didn't need study on top of hw. She also goes over the hw before you turn it in so there is no reason to not get an A. The tests had xtra credit w/about 30 questions. Great w/explaining things simply and to the point. I got an A+ & you will too!

Hands down the best teacher I have had at AVC. Yes she gives homework and yes she makes you work for your grade, but you seriously learn so much. I wish I could take her for all my future accounting classes. If you do the homework yourself you will do good on the tests.

Professor Adams, is a great and profesonal teacher. She loves what she does and shows it. She has a love for the accounting world, and understands that the lingo is difficult for some so she tries her best to get the info correct with acronyms and pictures. The one thing I had a hard time with is the powerpoints, hard on the eyes.

She is one of the best teachers on campus. I struggle with math and numbers do to my dyslexia but she made it easy and fun to understand. She loves teaching and its clear she loves accounting. Great Teacher. Prof. Adams does assign a lot of homework, so be prepared to spend 3 to 4 hrs on homework. She tries to make her power points as clear and easy as possible. She is willing to help students through email and office hours. If you do the homework and work sheets you will be fine. Some advice make sure you have your book the first day.

I found this class to be so easy. I went into the semester seriously worried about handling all the new information. you have a ton of homework, group project, cpu project, quizzes everyday and 4 test. you can drop the lowest of your first 3 test. can't drop the final... looking forward to taking her for 205.

Prof. Adams is very passionate about accounting and it shows. She has tons of opportunity for extra credit. This is not a class to slack around in. Prof. Adams does all she can to help you out. Word of advice make sure your phone is on vibrate cause if it goes off in class you WILL get a pop quiz, and the whole class will be mad.

Class is challenging however I enjoyed the class. She is very knowledgable and will help you understand material. Remember A.l.o.e( assets +liability = owners equity ) class consist of three test, daily quizzes, computer accounting project, and group stock pick project .

I really DISLIKE accounting, however I ABSOLUTELY love prof. Adams. Although the class made me reconsider my major, Adams inspired me to work hard. She is a great role model and pretty funny! It was my first sem at avc and i didn't even know what debits, credit, or journal entires(vegetables) were but she is there for her students! Take her!!!

Took ACCT 121 in Spring. She was very helpful. This class was online, so I had use the computers in AVC to use quickbooks. Did bad in midterm 1 because my internet went down as I was taking the test. Did well in the finals and all the online assignments. Got 70 on the project and still was able to get as A.

She is a very enthusiastic teacher. Is passionate about the subject of Accounting. Gives great feedback, always willing to help. Clear on what she wants. Only thing I didnt care for was that she is very strict on participation with weekly discussions. Do them or your grade will be effected.

Ms Adams is a fantastic Professor! Her lectures are clear, organized, and if the book seems difficult at times, she will make sense of it for sure in class. Be ready to sit down and spend a lot of time on homework because accounting is not easy for sure. This is not an easy A, you need to work for it. Homework for every chapter, 4 tests, one QuickBooks project and one group project near the end of the semester. Reads questions straight from the test the class, recommend recording it and studying from that. Lets your drop lowest score from the first 3 tests, practically impossible to fail the class. One of the best professors I have ever taken.

By far one of my favorite professors of all time. She makes accounting make sense. I went into the course with little no experience with anything accounting and was able to ace this class. It is NOT by any means EASY. You have to want to work for it, but she makes it attainable. I feel so fortunate to have had her as a professor.

I will be taking her again for ACCT 205. Rarely ever got out of class early, the tests are brutal, and the homework on connect can be really tough. But, she always goes over the homework and you can take pictures, and there is always an opportunity for extra credit on connect. For my class there wasnt a tutor until the end which hurt.

Adam's is a great choice for accounting. With no familiarity with the subject, I was nervous going into this class but she made the material easy to follow. She goes over the homework and prepares you for each test by giving a small review. Champion wave was annoying but manageable. She makes it clear that she wants her students to succeed!

Hands down the best teacher at AVC. With a class as difficult as hers she finds a way to guide you through the material to the point where you can not only regurgitate the information on the test, but actually understand it. I took Professor Adams for acct 201 and had such a good experience I took her again for acct 205. I passed with a 101 because of all the extra credit she offers. She explains the homework the day before its due in case you have any questions. I even took the honors option she offers and had no issues with that. Shes an amazing teacher!

Shes a great professor, lectures can be very long and tedious however the material covered cant exactly be made to be "exciting" i mean its accounting. I'm an accounting student from another school. I have never personally met Prof Adams, but her online Youtube playlist helped so much for my managerial accounting class that had no lectures and was completely online. This is my second semester taking Prof Adams and she is EXCELLENT as usual! You can expect a lot of reading/listening to lectures and plenty of homework, but that's because accounting is HARD. She knows that and she makes it possible to really learn the material - in fact, she fully promotes a true learning environment. If you need acct, TAKE HER!

Professor Adams is great in what she does and very knowledgable! Be prepared for a lot of work and a group project. I just wish I had taken her classes in person to deepen my experience and confidence in accounting. I really enjoyed taking her for both of my classes because she was very organized and responsive to her students online.

Professor helps students when needed and truly knows what she is doing. However, be prepared to do a ton of work. There was a week where we had to Read chapter 7, then watch her lecture on the chapter, do the chapter's hw, take a quiz for chapter 7, all while studying chapters 4,5,6, and 7 bc a test was due that same week. Good professor though.

Professor Adams is fantastic - you'll learn a ton. Lots of work, but she makes it manageable. Unstuckstudy was a great study tool alongside the textbook and class materials.

I think this class is a bit difficult but it's doable. She provided lecture and homework videos which are really helpful. There are weekly quizzes and hw assignments and 4 test open note. Aa well as a project and group presentation at the end. But overall the professor was nice and the class was interesting if you enjoy accounting.

Canvas is well-organized. Prof always responded quickly to my emails and helped me a lot. Great teaching style, provides lots of extra credit opportunities. Plan on spending a lot of time on this course. The quizzes and exams were only avail. on Thursdays. Clear grading criteria and fair. Will definitely take again.
