Each chapter consists of a set of videos that represent Dr. Stacey Brooks lectures for the course. I've watched these videos for what seems like thousands of times. With his style and cadence and his is ability to drive the material home. I play these videos when I'm getting ready in the morning and sometimes when I am about to go to sleep.

Lecture videos are bland and unhelpful, He just reads formulas off of a PowerPoint and doesn't work through many examples. The videos leave out some types of problems that appear in HW assignments, and the exams are conceptual which differs greatly from the rest of the coursework. Also passing the Excel certification exam is 10% of your grade.

Extremely unorganized class. The homework, classwork, and tests are all entirely different from each other. He prides himself on not giving out a study guide for exams. This is supposed to be a math class and the tests are conceptual. Also, getting excel certified is 10% of your grade. This man shouldn't be teaching this class at this school.

One of the most unorganized teachers I have ever had. His videos are very vague. The examples he does are very simple compared to the homework. No study guides are provided.

This class was very unstructured and disorganized. He did not tell us what to expect or review on our midterms because he decided to create them at the last minute. His lecture videos were very surface level and did not go into much detail. The professor/TA's made many errors when giving directions and gave us little guidance. Would not recommend.

Grade relies HEAVILY on the exam, which is awful because it's a REAL course. The exam is supposed to be "easy" but there's no directive on what it covers, no study guide except made by other students.

Shambolic professor, with no structure or guidance in the class. Be prepared to have absolutely no idea the whole semester. Exams make up 50% of your grade and he does not go over what to review aside from telling you to read the book and look over the modules. They could pay me a thousand dollars, and I would not retake this class.

Unorganized lecture videos, unhelpful class with nonresponsive TA and professor. Tests are heavy without study guide.

The professor makes this class super test heavy and he is so proud of the fact he doesn't give study guides or lectures. For the midterm and final everyone is always super confused because all he says is go look at the book.

The material isnt necessarily too hard, but the presentation and overall format of the class is awful. No actual help given at all, the 2 tests are what make up most of your final grade. There is no indication of what is going to be covered on the test, so you're pretty much left stranding as to what to prepare for.

Horribly ran course. The professor does not provide study guides, or even topics of what will be on exams when there is 20 questions out of a ton of material that you're supposed to guess what will be on it. There are many ways this course could have been more reasonable and professor brook doesn't seem to care about students being successful.

Don't take this class unless you like having your grade depend on a midterm and final exam that make up your entire 14 weeks. The homework feels disconnected from the 2 exam's. He provides no real direction of what the exams would be on, which considering they are good bite of your grade, is a bad thing. I passed but it felt wasted. Don't take him.

Openly rude to students, especially via email. The lectures (him reading verbatim off of a PowerPoint) had zero carry over to the homework. Promised practice quizzes and never delivered. Gave vague description of midterm/final. Class averaged a 60-55% on both. Didn't allow review of midterm. Told us not to study formulas and gave questions on them.

Dr. Brook was flat out mean to students, brushing them off in class when asking for help. The lecture videos were a mess and filled with errors and typos. Clearly thrown together last-minute. On top of all of this, he actually rated himself a 5 on here and insulted his class for being "coddled" (RMP rightfully removed it). Do NOT take his class!

Professor Brook did not give much guidance on anything. Exams are not really based on the work we actually do. Homework and excel certification grade help a lot with passing

In his first semester teaching QMB, Professor Brook definitely seemed to struggle. The homework was nothing like the in-class assignments (which were a confusing mess to be curved later since he made them the night before), and the in-class assignments were nothing like the tests. There was no consistency and the class itself was poorly planned.

People saying his tests are easy is funny. The slides he gives us are all based on excel functions, and the exam doesn't even have excel functions. He tells us to study irrelevant info. IDK how he got hired. When I ask him a question in class, he says "well you are going to have to find it yourself" like whats the point of you being here then?

For the final exam, just watching the videos were necessary. However, many of the videos are 1-3 minute long exact excerpts from the textbook. Very unengaging lecture videos where he just reads the slides word for word. The whole semester is focused on statistical calculations and Excel, while the final exam is just conceptual.

The professor provides no real guidance in his class and all the work that you do is all disconnected. The homework is just busy work, study material is him reading the pp slides that he lifted straight from the book, with no added info. The final is not reflective of what we learned in class. You WILL be teaching yourself in this class.

The math courses at UCF in general are poorly formatted. This course is no different. Very difficult to learn material adequately because lecture videos are vague and directly from textbook. Must learn material on your own using outside resources. Assignments feel like busy work because you wont understand what you are doing. Very confusing.

His class is absolutely all over the place. The homework has no correlation to what we do in class and what we do in class has no correlation to the tests he distributes. Further, he has no review modules or practices for his Final and you have to go search random quizlets and 3rd party sites just to even find content to study. Wouldn't recommend.

The entire class is based on advanced statistics concepts that I will never use again in my life. And the lecture videos are only a few minutes long and barely cover what you will need to know for labs, homework, and projects. The average on the final exam was 56%. Sadly, he is the only option fort this class. Good luck!

This class is great for anyone who wants to teach stats as a career, for everyone else, it is useless because it is MOSTLY stuff that we will never use. Also having the excel exam on top of everything else is too much.

I passed, no thanks to this guy. ONE exam & two projects account for HALF your grade. You'll have NO idea what your grade range will be until LITERALLY the very last second. Project B was only made available DURING FINALS WEEK WITH THE EXAM. The exam was conceptual, but with ONE exam for the ENTIRE semester, too many concepts to study, no guidance.

There is only one exam and two projects that account for most of your grade. You go into the exam pretty blind as when many people asked how they should study he'd say, "just watch the modules". I appreciate that, but I think people are looking for something a little more helpful to walk into the final feeling confident.

The average grade for the final was a 56% (No curve)

Bro was such a bad professor and overall a weird dude. He's the only professor that teaches QMB 2 so I think he's gotten very complacent. Needs a reality check.

I am taking Economics of Sports with professor Brook; class is interesting, lectures are good, but your whole grade goes to the depths of hell with the extremely hard, complex, Excel assignments. No guide, nothing to help students with Excel.

Econ of Sports. My hope to pass the class disappeared before October. Excel projects he deems easy when they are complex; on top of that, 10 pages of explanation of your results. Gives pop quizzes. Be prepared to do work like a grad student taking just this one class. No time to focus on other difficult economics courses. Lectures are just stories.

Halfway through the semester and Professor Brook is one of the worst professors and teachers I have simply ever had. You thought QMB 1 was not organized, QMB 2 is a disaster. He has no respect for his students at all and is extremely rude, specifically when responding in emails. The teaching assistants are no different and follow his orders.

Worst/only professor to teach QMB3200. Doesn't teach anything. Videos do not align with the homework and are useless. Homeworks are confusing since you will have no idea what to do. You need to take Excel Exam or already be certified. No exams only final. No efficient way to study for final exam because he doesn't help you or make study guide.

Easily one of the worst professors I've had a UCF. No tests throughout the course except for the cumulative final where there is no study guide or any guidance on the content. In person assignments have points taken off with no explanation as to why.

This class wasn't too hard, but Stacey made it difficult for no reason at all. 300 point final with no way of studying at all, two 150 point projects which he doesn't provide feedback on (so you don't know what you got wrong), and in class group projects in which he's a really stingey grader with. He's probably the worst grader that I've seen.

This is the worst professor I've had and it has nothing to do with his god awful personality. He doesn't provide feedback for a project that another one piggy back off of and both are a huge part of your grade. He also makes the final exam worth an insane amount of points and gives no clarity on what to study. He should be fired.

The class isn't that hard, but Stacey makes everything more difficult than it needs to be. He doesn't provide feedback on projects which is infuriating cus each project correlates with one another. The final is also worth 300 points but he doesn't provide a study guide whatsoever. What kind of professor does that? It's like he wants us to fail.

Dr.Brook is an okay professor but the course work and the assignments don't correspond. Homework is easy if you use online resources and active learning labs are straightforward but the exam is worth 30% of your grade and he doesn't give any study tools to help. I've had a 96 for the majority of the semester and hope I pass with a C-.

Worst class I have ever taken. He offers very little help for students and puts in no effort for the class. I have a 92 in the class going into the final and I am hoping to end with a B. There has been no previous exams, no study guides, no help. He did not tell us what was on the final. I know ZERO other students who feel prepared for this exam.

This class is not hard by any means. However, when it comes to the final exam, Brook does not go beyond to help his students pass. The final is 30% of the grade, with no study guide, and he gives very little information on how to prepare. I've never had a teacher be this careless.

It is unbelievable that UCF deems this individual fit to teach. He teaches this class in a way that an uncertified/uneducated person could. Read slides verbatim/No feedback left on work. Going into the final feeling unprepared bc of little guidance. Use Gmetrix for excel. Being in this class is like being the side piece you're not priority but you still want him to pay attention to you so you can feel the time you put in isn't wasted by a last second surprise (final/excelB).

I have no idea where UCF found its QMB professors, they are just bad. This class was worse than QMB 1. Homework assignments have no correlation with the in class assignments, and neither correlate with the final exam. There is no study guide for the final. You'll never know why you got a poor grade on projects so you cant improve for the next one.

Poor excuse of a professor, he is the perfect example of the mess COBA has become with Paul Jarley. Assignments are straightforward but don't expect any guidance from him. Final is cumulative, has nothing to do with any of the pass assignments we do in class, does not provide any study guide or resources, average was a 60%.

Hard to reach, final exam is an surprise egg, doesn't tell you what source to use, how to study for it. His lecture videos are not helping the assignments, but they are the source of the exam. Embraces the concept of "bare minimum." If "above-and-beyond" is a phrase, Stacey Brook is the embodiment of "below-and-behind."

Stacey Brook is the worst professor I have had in COBA. During ALL sessions the professor and TA's are annoyed and blatantly rude over any question you may have. Professor Brook is hands down the worst professor I have ever had the displeasure of encountering in my whole 3 years of college education. The exam is completely different from the assignments. Online lectures are useless and sometimes contain the wrong formulas. Use book for everything except the Excel walkthroughs.

Took it once: withdrawal. Got way better at excel and tried again, thought I might have been the problem; no. Extremely confusing and time confusing projects. The ALL sessions are not the worst if you have good groupmates which is the only good thing about the course. 60% percent of your grade comes from toss up tests and projects. This is by far the worst professor I have had at UCF COB. He is so unhelpful and almost seems bothered by any question you ask him. He assigned a project worth 20% of our grade during finals week and made it due in 3 days. he also has a 20 questions final based on 10 modules and no study guide. This is the work class layout I have ever seen.

I Have many things I want to say about this professor, yet none of them contain anything along the lines of "remotely good." I would say the class has three main things you should focus on and none of them have any relation (ALL Assignments, Excel, Teaching yourself Stats). Be prepared to teach yourself because the lecture videos are abysmal.

Ive never felt the need to ever write a review on a professor in all my college experience but this has to be the worst professor I've ever taken a class with. The exam have nothing to do with what we are taught in the modules homework's and class. it is a complete guessing game on his exams and he gives you no information on what to study for.

Worst class I've take at UCF by far. Terrible class, terrible professor, terrible grading system, terrible everything. I could probably write a 10 page essay how awful the class is. Click review and assignments-test prep. he lists the textbook sections to read on canvas-select these sections on the practice test- only practice conceptual questions. GL.

The lack of feedback on grades together with refusing to curve despite a low average was frustrating. The tests were significantly more difficult than the coursework, leaving me feeling unprepared with the class material. Overall, it was one of the worst experiences I've had with any professor, and I would never choose to take their class again.

Not a hard class but he does not hint towards what will be on the test. No study guide. There is a midterm and final both worth 20%. With only 20 questions in each, it amounts to 1% of your grade per question. He writes his own tests and it can be confusing or uneven in distribution of topics. In his defense - I got a 50% on both the midterm and the final (the AVERAGE of the class) and still passed with a B- so it is totally doable. I emailed him for help on something and he said "Figure it out. You are being graded on this." I had a horrible time with this professor.

His lecture videos are useless for the homework, he does not give any feedback or help groups in class, rather he tells us to "figure it out", especially if you're a student using a Mac. No study guides for the midterm or final, and he does not tell students what the content is for them. Excel exam is quite easy though.

I took him for QMB 2. He does not care about students at all. His lecture videos are him vaguely reading from slides with minimal effort. Even during class, students would ask him questions on how to solve a problem and he would respond "Just watch the videos" or "read the paper".

Not Helpful at all. Classes are easy just rewatch the videos for the assignments. Homework doesn't matter. The only difficulty was the midterm and final which was 20% of your final grade EACH. No study guide, no breakdown on what's on the quiz other than "Watch the video lectures". I despise this guy. Would rather be a TA for Travis Meade.

QMB 2 is difficult, unnecessary, and worse when the teacher is Stacey Brook. He doesn't teach anything and is always in a bad mood, by the end of the semester there is an Excel project that takes 3 days to complete. SO BAD!!! Every missed question on the final is a percent dropped on your final grade. He is so vague and does not care about the students. There is too much information throughout the models to only be tested on a 20 question midterm and final.

The homework is easy just submit for the answers. the ALL labs mostly follow from the videos he provides, so those aren't super hard if you've got a good group. The hardest part is his two exams which are worth A LOT of your grade. The quizlet online helps, good luck!

One hw assignment given once a week, ALL labs, excel certification, and an excel project at the end of the year. The problem is how unstructured this class is. My suggestion is max out on the hw, labs, excel cert, and project. Tests are 20 multiple choice and span information from 12-20 modules. No study guide.

The in-person ALL classes were truly a joke, the professor and TAs would direct us to watch the horrendously tedious module videos whenever anyone asked for help. It felt pointless to attend when I couldn't get any real assistance. The exams didn't align with the coursework and had no study guides, making it unnecessarily difficult to prepare.

Class is mostly all excel during the year but the midterm/final are all on statistics that he does not teach or provide a study guide on. He tries to flex that he doesn't have study guides for the midterm/final and tells you to watch the videos, in which he just reads a boring powerpoint word for word. DO NOT TAKE HIM

This professor is the worst professor I've ever had. 3 Exams and 1 project that determine your entire grade. His module lessons are so monotone and boring, don't even bother trying to learn from them. I wouldn't wish this class on my worst enemy. If he's the only QMB 2 professor when you register for classes, good luck.

Horrible professor. First off, every class has a group project, and if your group is illiterate like mine and dont know anything, good luck. For almost every ALL- assignment, I had to do AT LEAST 4/5 of the problems because none of my group mates knew anything. Second, his videos for the modules are literally so boring I use them to help me sleep.

This guy is rough. He doesn't teach a thing. His videos on webcourses get you though the in-class assignments and that's about it. The homework is so tedious and has NOTHING to do with the course. He is by far the worst professor I have ever had. He has little to no clarity to what are on the exams. I barely got a B with a 80.5 percent. I got a 45 on the first exam and a 60 on the second. I got full points on the excel project and most of the homework and classes and saved my grade. Would not wish this guy on my worst enemy.

The "lectures" do not help with the homework, the homework does not help with the exams, and the required Excel course (that you must complete on your own time in addition to "lectures") is unnecessary. That doesn't make sense, right? Nope! Get ready to have to put the pieces together yourself.

In lecture videos about tricky topics he has 0 enthusiasm and reads off slides word for word. 2 exams and neither one has a study guide (he stresses this like he is proud of it). This class was a waste of my time. I asked him for help, and he disrespectfully told me to speak with a TA. The class is very unorganized, and the Excel project was assigned late, which made it difficult to plan my time accordingly. I always try to find something positive to say, but believe me—there are none.

His videos do not explain the content well. He provides no study guide, basically just tells you to watch his videos. His exams have a small number of questions and a lot of topics they could cover, so anything you do not know can heavily impact your grade. The Excel Certification was pretty easy, though. Worst teacher so far.

You'll never actually learn anything in this class.

Classes don't prepare you for exams. 1 midterm, 1 final, 1 excel certification exam, 1 project worth 20% of your grade that takes hours to do where you spend 75% of your time inputting data and God-forbid you get a number wrong (and copy-paste would take forever). TAs could barely help with the in-class projects and barely knew what was going on.

I don't understand how he is paid, truthfully. His videos are all from three years ago which have nothing to do with anything other than exams. The homework is easy but it has no correlation to exams or in person classes. He says don't worry the midterms and finals are easy, but the class average is literarily a D.Bad teacher. I don't know how UCF still employs him. Does not care about his students. He refuses to help in any way. You ask him a question, and he is super dry and expects you to know everything, so there is no point in asking the question. UCF needs to do better because this is a terrible product they are putting out.

I wish UCF would do something about these awful QMB professors. I can say that I absolutely hate every single QMB class so far, despite putting in my best effort to do well. Especially since you have to teach your self. Yes he has videos but all he does is read over the powerpoint. No further explanation and then gives you conceptual exams.

This is the only time I've felt compelled to do this. His online material is reading the textbook pages word for word. It is so frustrating that he isn't held to some standard for this course. Hopefully, when I retake this class, I'll find his one-on-one tutoring helpful. He was always standoffish in class and clearly unwilling to help.

No clue how this dude is still employed. None of the work is alike. He is the opposite of what any university should have teaching a course. Good luck to those stuck with this guy.

I created a rate my professor account for this. He was by far the worst professor i have ever had here. Exams have nothing to do with anything in class. Average grade on the midterm was a 37. I dont understand how he is still a professor here. Zero extra credit and no points given back on exams. Everyone i have talked to agrees with me. Avoid

Good Luck in this class. Homework has nothing to do with the exams. Midterm and Final are definition question. You just have to memorize all the PowerPoints. I would not waste time reading the textbook. Excel exam was easy, although I had prior experience to it. Just do the practice simulations a couple of times.

Terrible professor, no study guides for any of the exams, all of the in class work does not correlate to the exam information.

If you don't get everything right on the in-class assignment, no explanation is given of what you got wrong - no feedback whatsoever. The homework doesn't relate to the in-class work and the in-class work doesn't relate to the exams. Wish they'd find anyone else to teach this class.

Professor doesn't not care for overall student success. Class is relatively easy but confusing at times as well and when asking for clarification he makes it seem like you are not smart and cannot understand when you should. Would not take another class with him again. But class is required so there are no alternatives

You will do mostly excel based assignments in person but the homeworks, midterm and final are concepts of statistics. Got a 79.4 and needed a 79.5 for a B and didn't get rounded up. Have to retake his class because of that.

HW are completely useless for tests. The professor doesn't care to help anyone at all, it's just a self-taught class. Do his PowerPoint presentation for the test. LinkedIn learning for the Excel certificate, and follow the instructions for the Excel project. UCF should fire him right away. There is not a single thing I've learned from him. 0/10

He doesn't teach. His video lectures are purely him reading the slides, and honestly aren't useful. The answers for homework are given after you submit it once, and there are unlimited submissions. Use quizlets over the chapter PowerPoints for exams and you'll do just fine.

NO STUDY GUIDE FOR ANY EXAM AND NO HELP ON WHERE TO STUDY. the exams are almost impossible to study for and even though its only conceptual there's nothing to use to help to study.

This statistics professor is completely disengaged. He ignores emails, doesn't communicate, and refuses to accommodate students. He leaves all the work to the TA and only gives minimal feedback, often too late to help. It feels like he doesn't care at all, and students are left struggling without proper guidance or support. Don't Recommend!!

The reviews were right. There are no study guides for the exams and the homework doesn't really help since the tests are more concept-based. I would do this class in the summer just to get it over with as fast as possible, the only benefit is you do get certified in excel.

This will be an honest review. The course is not hard. Any student can prepare and be successful in obtaining an A in this class. The reason why I sincerely rated this course as a 1 is due to the teaching style. The lectures do not contribute towards learning, and there are no study guides. I'd rate this class 2/5, however the work OK isn't accurat

He doesn't teach. I know it's a REAL class, but he doesn't teach. Do the GMetrix to prepare for the Excel exam. I would just pick one question in the group work to do, then wait while the rest of my group did the others. 5 questions for 7 people, it felt like enough. The homework is really easy and tells you the answers when you submit

He literally did not teach. In class activities were all on excel and exams were all theory. it was absolutely my bad class. he did not even gave me good grades in my final project even though it was right. I don't know why, I checked with other students as well. The real class system is fraud and makes students weak in maths.

All in all a miserable professor who creates deadlines purposely to inconvenience students such as a final project and final exam being posted 48 hours apart making majority of students stressed.

Absolutely horrible professor, I genuinely have no idea how he is still employed at UCF. He changed the exam format to a program he stopped using in the beginning of the semester because of grade inconsistencies. Consistent setups for failure throughout the class. Unnecessary assignment stress with how he has the final exam and final project.

Homework is completely different from class and exam. Used a program called exprep that he discarded after THE FIRST CLASS SESSION because it didn't work, then proceeded to make the exam on that very program. Doesn't make any sense, class average is a fail on the exam. No study guide and no help in class as he just points you to the videos.

Horrible teacher/grader. Mid-term took my grade from a A to a D. Test is confusing and graded too heavy. Wish they had another teacher that actually taught. Spoke to others, they feel the same. They need to look at their teaching pool and have better options. I wish they read these reviews. Nothing positive to say. Disappointed!

Worst class Ive ever taken, my grade dropped from a 90 to a 60 after 1 of the 2 only exams in the class. There is no study guides and there was no clear direction of what the exams would be like or their format until the midterm had passed. I would NEVER take this class again.

biggest disappointment of a class in my academic career. homeworks have no relation to the rest of the class. videos he posts are useful in class but you don't actually learn anything. his exams are difficult. and please don't miss a class as the makeup assignment is 4 folds harder. it genuinely saddens me that others have to experience this class

Awful. Makes the class as hard as possible. Two exams in the semester that are graded so heavily and are only five questions. I only know one person who passed his midterm, which is a reflection of poor teaching. Passive aggressive & bad attitude. I am provided with accommodations & he does not care to work with them. Idk how he still has a job.

follow up. We were told at the beginning of this semester that we would not use Exprep bc of issues with glitching. Then we had to use it on the exam. Mine glitched multiple times & made me lose out on time & I wasn't able to finish the exam effectively. I was not given any corrective opportunities & every point counts when there are 5 questions

Exam heavy using EXPREP, which is a tool we didn't use the whole semester, so I was not familiar with the UI at all. No study guide either so good luck. Don't miss class, the makeup assignment is time consuming and complicated. The videos don't really reflect the exam material. Only good thing is the homeworks, gives the answer with chance of redo.

after our first class activity using exprep we stopped using it because people were having trouble downloading the excel file and submitting it. but both exams are done through exprep??? no study guides. videos are mostly conceptual and a waste of time to watch as the exams are all about excel and formulas. hw also looks nothing like the exams.

ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE. Time for a retirement party buddy. I'm not paying this much money to have my grade and gpa be your test guinea pig. Throws you to the wolves during exams and expects you to memorize 10 chapters of calculus and excel formulas with no study guide. Then gives you a 5 question exam that could be on anything and tanks your grade.

Look I'll make it real simple. If you are going to register for this course, register for CAPS while you are at it. I haven't met a single person who even mildly enjoyed this course. This man is truly evil.

I typically think most of the negative things kids say about professors are closely related to poor course performance, but in this case, I must agree with the masses. The course feels like it is designed for you to do poorly. My biggest grievance is that the course structure seems to change every couple of years, and reviews have never improved.

This class is a complete joke. HW complete weekly & 2 exams worth half ur grade. Excel project is easy. HW is not related to the exams and no study guides. You can get good grades if you know the excel formulas from his videos and how/when to use them. Focus on that bc thats what the exams are- knowing and applying the formulas with what ur given.

dont ask him anything abt the exams cuz he wont tell u and will give u the most vague answer possible leaving u even more confused. u can even ask his TAs and they tell you they don't know either. swear he must be getting paid to fail his students cuz he cannot be bothered. no study guide either. ucf needs to seriously do something abt this.

Terrible study material

Final was horrible. This teacher seriously needs to retire. He taught nothing that was on test. UCF seriously needs to consider hiring another teacher. If I do not end with a C in this class, I will be leaving UCF and transferring to another school since there is no other teacher teaching this class and I would have to retake with him. Horrible!

Class is pretty hard, thank gosh I got sent what the exam was going to be on or I probably would not have passed this class. The exams are 5 questions on random topics from the ALL. Study the ALLs and you can get a D-C on each exam. The final project is crucial to do well on as it adds so many points back. Homework is useless but make sure to do it

Study the Alls and the videos of him doing the excel formulas and you will be okay for exams. No study guide is very annoying he just says look at the modules and HW, but do this ^

QMB3200 is poorly structured, focusing on memorizing formulas instead of real learning. Neither the professor nor GTAs make it engage. Grading is harsh and inflexible. I expected it to be as helpful as STA4163, but it wasn't (a heavy math course where I got an A). If possible, take this course elsewhere. Stacey should be fired.

If the average on the only two exams the entire semester is an F and a low D that is a teaching problem not a student problem

Well, if even the people that got a B in his class have nothing positive to say about the teacher, UCF WAKE UP! U need to find another professor for this class. We always made sure to ask TA's for help instead of him. It's evident that he does not like teaching this class. This class is easier than QMB1 in truth, but due to his poor exam prep (no guides) most people do badly; the averages on his exams are usually D's at BEST. I don't hate him like some, but he should be in another profession. UCF take note

Had a ridiculous hard time in this class for absolutely no reason. Professor is not willing to help you study for the exams at all + there were questions in the exam that WERE NEVER touched on.

This dude could not make it any clearer that he does not care at all for your well-being and education as a student. He is extremely unhelpful and even rude when you try and ask for help (half the time he won't even answer your questions. He will just make some smirky comment and walk away). I don't know how this dude is still a professor here.

I never use ratemyprofessor, I only use it to look for a quick minute to see how I can prepare for my next semester class. Me typing here alone says a lot. I did not have the best time with this professor and I know for most business students you have to take this class so be ready. Easily one of those professors who doesn't care about teaching.

When students do poorly in class, there are real consequences. But when a professor repeatedly fails their students (figuratively and literally), UCF renews their contract of employment! I was lucky enough to do well, most likely because I've already taken stats 1-3. Otherwise, I have no idea how I would've done it. Good luck.

My last class before admittance to my major and easily the worst, not necessarily because it's difficult but because of how bad Professor Brook is and lack of direction. We'd ask questions and he said he didn't remember and to watch his videos. The EXCEL project is crucial for making up points and is luckily very easy. It ended up saving my grade.

UCF has been made aware of how terrible Professor Brook runs this class. Two five question exams worth 50% of your grade… Bad experience and hope UCF takes action.

UCF really does not care how bad a teacher is and it shows. Complaining to them is pointless, they say too bad and take it over or change majors. I guess the teacher can just be horrible and UCF does not address the matter. Very surprised at the lackadaisical attitude of UCF and blaming the students for the inadequacies of the teacher/class. SAD

The guy is the most unhelpful, RUDE person. My group tried to ask both him and his TAs questions in class BECAUSE THAT IS WHAT CLASS IS FOR, and all they do is give you snarky remarks and glances, as if Excel is something we should've learned in Kindergarten. Unfortunately, I now have to retake this class and he is the only one who teaches it. FML

i got an A and i'm still writing a review because this is the worst professor at UCF. unfortunately as a business major you have to take this class and no one else teaches it. so get ready to have none of your questions answered, but instead get talked to like you're a moron.

The midterm and the final have nothing to do with the homework and the quizzes assigned throughout the year at all as the onlyl things to study are his ALL sessions and burrowing through his modules. He is also no help during the ALL sessions. I finished with a 78.9 in his class, a 79.5 is a B. Strict grader and it is clear why his rating is so low

One of the absolute worst professors I have ever had. His class is unclear and set up for student failure. He at one point complained about what was being written about him on Reddit and stated that the angry students just don't pay enough attention. I studied so much for the tests only to fail (no curves btw for like 50% class average). AVOID HIM!

Take this class with this professor if you purposefully want to fail. Leave it to him to make an easy class difficult. Everyone who has given him 1's are absolutely correct. 2 test worth 50% of ur grade but that's not the issue, the issue is there is NO WAY to practice for those tests. We asked him and he said I don't know the material on the test.

The homework does not relate to anything in the class. He is very lazy and not understanding at all. The EXCEL project is really easy, cannot lie about that, but lets say u do bad in both tests, then ur entire grade might rely solely on that EXCEL project. Really horrible professor. Wish UCF takes some sort of action here.

All I can say is 180 students gave him a 1 just here on RMP, I am not even factoring in Reddit and any other platform that students are hating on him. I saw some other RMP reviews from previous universities he used to teach at and that's just as worse if not worser than these UCF reviews. This many students cannot be wrong.

Terrible class, but there is a way to pass!!! The all sessions were incredibly difficult, and I often found myself watching the videos during them for the steps. Whatever you do take the regular midterm and not the makeup as it's harder. He pulls questions off the ALL and puts it on the tests so save them for the midterm and final.

Absolutely abysmal professor. Textbook is useless, homework is useless, videos are 50% useless. When he answers questions in class, his singular response is “did you watch the videos??” No study guide for tests and test word problems are unanswerable because they're not in the material. Professors under a 2.0 should be fired, how does anyone pass?

This is the first time I have written a review about a professor. The homework is very easy, and so is the project. The exams are very hard to study for, and I tried my best to study what he had and still did terribly. I was just not a fan of this professor.

Where do I even start? How this man is still on payroll is unbelievable. He does nothing to teach concepts or prepare for exams. There's 2 exams that are 50% of your grade and the class average for both was an F and D+. All he does is stand in the way of entering your major and lowering your GPA. He needs to be FIRED!
