Im taking her class at the moment. She is so nice and she is available if you need her. There are no quizzes/homework, just 2 tests and 2 projects. She makes you feel very welcomed if you are a good student in class and don't disrupt. Im going to miss her when the semester ends.

I took her CD30 class in Fall 2006. Whoever said that half the class failed the midterm is wrong. The class did not all get A's but half didn't fail. She makes herself available as much as possible, and gives a lot of opportunity for extra credit. She does expect you to do the work, but she outlined both the midterm and final.

By far the best teacher I've ever taken. Compassionate, sweet and willing to help. Makes class very interesting. Two tests & two projects. Not difficult if you study. She reviews before hand. Relates the class to real life situations. TAKE HER! She's amazing. I'm considering changing my major because of her.

Professor Longmore is a fantastic teacher! She is very educated and dedicated to teaching. She is an easy grader and gives TONS of extra credit. She is very easy to listen to and makes the class fun and interesting. I HIGHLY recommend her.

I had her for the summer 06'. She is very helpful and interested in her students. We didn't have any tests and our final was a presentation. There were a few opportunities for extra credit. We got a few essays. Overall I had a great time and recommend her, but she isn't the easiest teacher.

She is the best. Past Child Dev. 11 with an A+ and I DIDN'T even have to take the final!!! Also took Child Dev. 30 with her and past with a B. She is a great teacher and will help you when you need it. I have no idea what that person 1 spot below me is talking about, "You must be physco" because she is very understanding and caring.

Wonderful teacher! Very nice & helpful. Easygoing with attendance. 3 Exams (2 25-multiple choice + Final) plus reviews always the class meeting before each test. Also has you do child observations (3 hours all together) Take notes & you'll be fine. She is there to help you pass willingly!

Prof Longmore Is an amazing teacher.she makes you want to cme to class because there is never a dull moment.for one of the assignments she brought us some games to get our minds moving rather then just have us with our faces in the books all day.She is not an easy A, but very possible.just study for the test and youll be fine(and do observations!!)

She is so great. I passed with an A. Just do your work and you'll pass. She helps you when you need help. She makes sure you understand the concepts. I hardly went to class but I did all the work that needed to be done and I got an A.

BEST PROFESSOR TO EVER TEACH! I used to think that child development class would be the most boring class ever I only took it for the GE but she made the class so interesting. Im now gonna go switch majors to child development or human development. Listen to her lecture well, take good notes, read her outlines, and read the book. Not hard at all!

Ohmygodd I was such and epic fail at Psychology stuff before taking this class. But Prof. Longmore was such an AMAZING professor that she basically made me love Human Development/Social Development/Child Development stuff. She's very intelligent and cares about her students a lot. TAKE HER! Plus, she's a Doctor now! lol

Okay professor longmore is so YOUR professor. Add her! I learned so many things from her lectures and she's openly available for any questions so she gives you all of the help you need to succeed. She shows us videos to better visualise the concepts of child development. As well, she hands out STUDY GUIDES! Trust me! ADD HER! you will not regret it

Professor Longmore needs to do a Strikes Back video to attack those who put negative comments here lol. She's one of the best professors I've ever had and if I was going to CSU (which I'm not, I'm taking credits back to an out-of-country school which requires UC units) I would enrol to all of her classes just because! (Most CD classes are CSU only)

This is the first time L.A.P.C. has offered this class. The class consists of 6 child observations and recording down what took place. As the semester progressed the professor had changed the assignments on the syllabus around. The assignments became dis-organized and confused for those who did not take C.D. 1. Overall the class is good.

This proffesor is AMAZING!! you can email her when ever you need her & she will go out of her way to help you out. I took her for summer & her class was fun she even bought us pizza. DO the review for her tests & you will get an easy A. I LOVE HER!!!

THE BEST TEACHER I'VE EVER HAD! If you want an A, all you have to do is show up and pay attention, make yourself heard in the class. I promise if you go everyday, she knows you're trying and she will help you get the grade you want. Minimal homework, lots of note-taking but worth the time. Great teacher; Funny! I took CD-1 over the summer with her and she didn't give any Homework. Unless you consider 3 observations Homework. She makes class fun with her personality and if your lucky she'll teach you how to dougie. Warning: Final and Midterm are multiple choice. Don't let that fool you. They're pretty difficult. She's Amazing though!

She was a guest professor at CSUN and the class was so much fun, but so unstructured! I was unclear on my grade the whole time because we only had a couple assignments and one exam. She seemed invested in the class 'connection,' but not the paperwork. I wish I hadn't wasted $60 on the textbook, but the class discussions were pretty great.

Easiest class I've ever taken! And for once I actually liked going to class because the class discussions were really interesting and fun. I've heard she can be tough in other classes, but this one that I took was super easy and fun. Plus, Professor Longmore is a sweetheart.

She teaches her heart out with a great big smile. Gives personal stories, which makes her very relate-able. She is helpful if you ask questions or repeat the lecture. She does fun in-class discussions, demonstrations and involves the class to participate. She favors her football students a lot. But she gives full attention to the rest of the class.

Dr. Longmore is one of the best professors I've ever had! The energy she puts into teaching is truly admirable, she has such a beautiful spirit. She provides the best stories with her lectures, and discussions are always interesting. I only wish there were more professors like Professor Longmore at Pierce. She treats all her students with respect and goes out of her way to help you pass. An incentive to the final is if you have enough points for an A already she will allow you to miss the final. Class based on few quizzes, a midterm, a final, and 3 observations, and HW.

Such a great professor and a sweerheart! Class is an easy A as long as you show up everyday and do all the assignments. Tests are hard but don't count for much of your grade, assignments count 2x more. I didn't do fairly well on my tests but did good on all assignments so I got an A. I really recommend you take her

Just make sure you write fast for her lectures/powerpoints or better yet just take a picture of em all. Couldn't get any easier. Class consists of a midterm and final ; together only worth 20 % of class. Main thing in her class are in class assignments and observations. If you follow instructions you got perfects scores in those. Class also consists of a game ; as long as you put some effort and follow instruct. you have perfect score in that too.

Extremely easy class. Attendance is mandatory. If you take notes and follow instructions on all the assignments you have an easy A. Make sure you do the observations right away because saving them for the last minute is overwhelming.

She is a GREAT Professor. She is super kind, very helpful and loves to teach. In her class every 30 points accumulates to a grade. There are two tests in her class worth 30 points each. Class consists of 3 child observations, a boardgame and and in class journal.

Funny, fair, engaging, no BS, treats you like the adult you are. Learned a ton in a fun atmosphere. Super cool.

Great professor! She's very professional, and I love how she doesn't take crap from disrespectful students. I enjoyed every class I attended because it was interesting. Take her and see for yourself. There is a total of two tests, little homework, and 3 observations at a childcare facility. I'd recommend her. :)

Best professor ever had in Pierce. very professional and patient. knows what she teaches. Took her class on summer, there is no observation. have online quizzes every week, just make sure you read the textbook, otherwise, U won't pass the exam. Very sweet and caring. She was really easy for me, because I took a psychology class which relates to what she was teaching. She likes to tell personal stories, which makes it fun. Lots of group work. I took her during Summer 2014 and our class did online tests,which was all based on the readings.

If you pay attention, don't miss her class and actually do the work and projects, you'll pass her class. Her grading for tests is kind of weird but if you know you stuff, you'll pass.

Professor Longmore is another one of the best professors at pierce. She is one tough cookie, but sweet and funny too. She will make it so that you cannot fail her class. I recommend her to anyone taking CD1. It is an easy class, just do the reading, and make sure you explain all answers clearly when doing feedback assignments and you'll be fine.

Took the class over summer and received an A. Multiple tests online that are pretty simple. I would recommend getting the online book and searching the document for test questions or problems. Overall easy class a few in class projects and she talks to each group to make sure they havedone the reading.

Great professor. You need the book or you won't pass. Take notes and pay attention to them. You need to do the reading. Her lectures aren't long or boring.

I took this class Summer 2015, and I can say she's a great teacher. She's really fun and makes the class exciting. The projects are creative and connects with the material. 2 group projects! take notes and pay attention and you don't have to do so much reading. Starts on time so be there! Quizzes (15 to 25 questions) and assignments are online.

Taking this class in summer 2015 was the best decision I've made. Professor Longmore is not only an amazing teacher, she also is hilarious! Such a sweet lady with great assignments and projects that will really help you understand the concept. Pay attention in class, do the reading (not a lot) and you'll get an A!

Dr. Longmore is an amazing and such an inspirational teacher! Took her CD1 class for Fall and it was a great time in her class! Reading is a must and participation is as well. Other than that she is amazing and cooperative! Will always help you if help is needed and will spend time till you get it right.

She was a very nice and open professor, exams are clear and she gives you study guides and answers to them . Make sure to do the reading before coming to class , it helps for notes. She starts the class with a small quiz, easy points asks random questions no wrong answer , show up on time and you get easy points . One thing that I hated was the end of the semester group project , it was fun but not all group members saw eye to eye so choose your table neighbors wisely

Really nice prof! She changes her style of teaching every semester, so sometimes it'll be more lecture oriented, others group projects. Mine was lecture. Explains pretty well. Book isn't mandatory, u can get a diff one, never used it. Will have the preschool child observation, and classmate interview. Not much homework. Good prof!

love Love LOVE her. Sit in front. Talk to her when you have the chance. Once she knows you by face consider yourself in the clear with an A. BUT it's not that easy. Show up, she gives semi-easy assignments, put in the work! She has two tests- study! Other than that, she is amazing. She tells great stories and she loves her job. She is a genius.

I've had the pleasure of taking CD 1 and CD 42 with professor Longmore. Not only is she an amazing professor, but she is a great mentor. She is genuine and her office door is always open! She expects college level work and motivation, therefore if you need more structure, you will need to approach her and ask for help.

This is my 6th week into fall for 2018 with, Dr. Longmore i love her she is a great professor, but shes a really tough grader, i had to drop the class because i already had a 46% she giives a ton of pop quizes and if you dont pass the quiz it brings your grade down by a whole lot she lectures, but not as much she just expects us to learn on our own

She doesn't do a lot of explaining for assignments. She doesn't give any feedback at all on your graded assignments. This class was easy for me though. She does provide all the information you need to do well on the quizzes. She grades very easily on written assignments, I received perfect scores on the majority.

Professor Longmore is honestly really easy. Reading the reviews, I got very confused because she did not give our class any pop quizzes, but I think it's also because she really liked our class. She is super sweet and her classes are heavily based on activities! Super fun and different every day!
