She's a great teacher, even though her lectures were pretty long, they are really interesting. If you take good notes and show up to class, you would be set. Everything you need to know for the tests are in her presentations. Very clear and straightforward teacher. I would highly recommend her!

Dr. Peterson is a great teacher!! She is very clear with the topics and makes it seem really interesting. She will always answer your questions to the point where you clearly understand. Wish she could teach all my other classes!

Over all Stacey Peterson is a good professor. Her intro to psychology class is pretty easy. She has team quizzes and allows you to use your notes in the essay portion of exams. Though, she doesn't limit the amount of questions and discussion in the class which causes the class to be behind schedule. Also I would recommend you go to SI sessions.

She doesn't take attendance daily, however she does take attendance when there is a quiz or test in class. We never used the book. Almost all the info is in class notes, so I would still recommend going to class daily. The content is fairly easy. The hardest material is at the beginning of the semester. There are NO papers in the class. Also, she assigns groups that you work on all quizzes with. She had SI sessions which were extra credit if you went 3 times per unit. Side note, she says "right" a lot. Brownie points if you can count how many times she says in during one class period

Kind, Caring, willing to help with anything you need. Pop Quizzes are her version of attendance, but they are done by group which takes some of the bite off of them. Still though, you need to attend class to do well, but the class is well formatted and never boring.

She's a very nice teacher. The majority of her class is lecture based on the material. There is a total of 4 tests. The material is reasonable in difficulty but I think she does a good job of explaining. She offers lots of extra credit so getting an A or B should not be too difficult. You must attend class because she does a lot of lectures.

record her lectures, since she doesn't post powerpoint online; that'd be my one recommendation. otherwise, she's an AMAZING teacher, speaks clearly, easy to talk to if you don't understand something. you can always just shoot her an email or stop by office hours, and she'll be glad to help or clarify anything. tests aren't insanely hard, just study

I really enjoyed this class. As a returning student I thought Stacy did a great job making me feel comfortable in the class and back at school. She can seem serious in class, but is really warm and open in her office so I would suggesting stopping by and asking for help.

she is simply the best,she tries to bring the best out of everybody. just show up and take notes and you will pass. be prepared to feel comfortable and free no matter how shy you are. this is the only class that I've made friends that are still in contact 2 semesters after taking the class and she still remembers my name although I was the quietest

Took her online class "intro to psychology" - lot of busy work but easy to get an A in! Just have to complete assignments and quiz weekly! totally manageable

she gives extremely good feedback, and her responses are quick unlike some other professors. She is very respected, and I have never sat through such amazing lectures in my life. I have never been so excited to go to her lecture. She is very smart and she wants you to succeed. Best professor in Normandale period.

I enjoy going to the class and listening to the lectures. She asks questons and has a lot of group interaction. As other students say, you have to study for the exams. They are questions where you apply what you learn so you have to be prepared to apply the chapters.

Stacy has a really fun class. You do have to attend to know all of the due dates for assignments and online quizzes. If you miss them it can really affect your grade in the class. so attend the class and you will be fine.

Great Prof. Makes the week's work clear and organized on the D2L site. Gives feedback on almost everything, sometimes just a "good job". Gives plenty of assignments, but all are reasonable and don't waste time. They are usually fairly quick and straightforward.

I was confused by the way the online class was set up when it started. I have never taken an online class set up like this. Once I got how to understand the class it was easy to follow. There are a lot of assignments but they are not hard.

Nice prof. Glad I took her. There are readings, but they arent too hard. If you do them, you will be one of the advanced students it seems. Also, tests (mostly multiple choice), quizzes (mc), and various homework assignments. DONT FORGET TO DO ONLINE QUIZZES. No papers. Pay attention in class and take notes! Learned to like psych with this class.

This summer class was good. There were a lot of assignments, but it was doable. You do have to put in the time to do these assignments each week and be organized. Everything is laid out at the start, but you are not able to work ahead. I liked Peterson because she responded to emails fairly quickly and made the class interesting to learn. Take her!

You won't do well in class if you are the kind of person who doesn't study and just shows up and takes the test. But when actually studied for, quizzes and tests are not to bad. There are short answer on all the tests, but nothing too bad. She's super nice and responds to emails.

There is a lot of work in this class. There is a lot of additional reading assignments due during the week which are interesting to read and not difficult. It is just a time consuming course.

If you want to take a psychology course at Normandale, TAKE THIS PROFESSOR! Her tests are challenging, but if you come to class and take good notes, you will pass. She also has a PASS leader for the course if you need extra help. Stacey is an extremely caring person and is easy to talk to outside of class. Sweetest lady I've met.

The class is a lot of busy work and reading, but the online structure is very organized and easy to follow. It is not hard and there are no exams just quizzes. Go to her office if confused about anything.

Really really good professor. Definitely a good chunk of work to do weekly but offers A LOT of extra credit. This is not an easy class by any means, you have to put the work in, and quality work. She is looking for clear understandings and application of the concepts from each week.

Professor Peterson asks A LOT of you in a summer class. So much so it all felt like busy work and not necessary. If you have a job or want to enjoy your summer/semester dont take her. She is really sweet and cares but she relies heavily on busy work and textbook reading to teach the content. Get ready to read and apply tons of concepts with her.

The reading and assignments are interesting and you need to apply the reading. The quizzes are not timed. I would take the class again.

Exams are hard, she doesn't upload her lectures so you have to take really good notes. If you miss a day, you are screwed. She usually has about 2 assignments per week. They are usually pretty easy and test knowledge. Sometimes they have stuff on there that wasn't taught which is tricky. Super good lectures though.

Amazing teacher. She is clear, organized and easy to talk to. You do the assignments and hand them in on time you will do well. Whenever I check the class average on an assignment it is almost always 100. If you want a teacher who cares and is not difficult to deal with take her. HIGHLY HIGHLY RECCOMENDED. GREAT EXPERIENCE WITH HER!

There are so many tests and exams (which are super hard) but it's clear that prof Peterson cares about psychology and her students. Just don't miss any days of class cause there's no way to learn what you missed. Due dates frequently change and are not consistently on the same day of the week - so be aware of that.

Since I arrived at Normandale, this professor has been my number one instructor. She genuinely cares about her students, and she will undoubtedly assist you if you are having difficulty with any of your assignments. This course has taught me a lot about myself and others; don't be hesitant to take her class.

Dr. Peterson is a great professor! I took an online asynchronized course and the material was very interesting. There were 2-3 assignments per week and it was clear what she wanted to see in the assignments, along with great feedback after grading. There were also no exams, only knowledge checks every week. I recommend this class and professor!

I loved this class so much. You can feel so confidence emailing any questions you always get feedback on your assignments. I really enjoyed the content given the assignments we got were due every Tuesday and Thursday and have three tests out of 100 you also get extra credit.

It was a pretty easy class and you don't need to read the textbook. I went every day but you can get away with just watching the lectures. She gets off track sometimes, goes through the lectures too fast and doesn't make that much of an effort to connect to students. She was really nice and answered emails a couple days after I sent them.

Wonderful teacher, it was an online class but it was amazing how she planned and executed her lessons. I actually retained and was engaged in her class. There's weekly busy work, and a knowledge check each week. All your work (assignments, quizzes etc.) are weighted the same. There's no tests.

Dr. Peterson was extremely clear with instructions and assignments and enthusiastic about the topics she taught. She was easy on grading and kept everything very digestible. The course load for Psych-1101 was quite light, with only ~12 question quizzes and short paragraph response assignments.

Ms Stacy hybrid course was a fun class. She has in class lectures and group work and online quizzes that take maybe one hour a week. You can turn work in late before each exam. but the exams are in class and can be hard if you do not study or use the study guide. The topics we cover each week are really interesting.

Best professor Ive ever had! She's so easy to email and ask questions. At the start of the semester shes gives out all the work for the whole semester and the dates that everything is due.

Not bad. Not good. Not easy. Not hard. Okay. Basic level. Group participation wasn't so bad. There are 3 exams. One-two assignments per week. No tests. The assignment is a short answer or a mini quiz that is very easy. That's all. Exams always have 30 questions. Not open note. She gives a "study guide" where it's just the topics that re on the exam

This was a fun class. The professor relates what we learn to our lives. The online work took little time each week but was based on the online lecture video. Good class.

She's so nice. Brought us donuts and candy on separate occasions! She really cares for all her students. She makes lectures interesting. Expect quizzes every week, they're pretty tough. And study for tests days in advance because they can be tricky. But overall a compelling class and would take another class with her if it was offered.

Prof is very nice, clearly cares about your success. If you miss a lecture, online lectures are available to catch up. Weekly quiz/homework, but they are not hard at all. Had a weekly 10AM Mon. class, and I never found myself dreading it. Textbook reading is not required at all, and lectures will give you all you need. Keep up and you will be fine!

Stacey is an amazing professor. I would 100% recommend her. I took her online class, and I was able to move through it pretty quick. She gives very good fed back, and she truly cares about the grades her students get.

Fun class with quite a bit of work, but not overwhelming if you stay on top of it. She gives you late passes for the semester and her lectures are organized and thorough. She is a generous grader, and the assignments are short and usually pretty easy. Recommended.

Very clear lectures (I'd watch them instead of reading the textbook, since they cover the same things). There's about 5 assignments per week and worth the majority of your grade. Exams are only like 25% of your grade so don't stress about them. You also get extra credit and 7 late passes. Lovely teacher!

She is extremely thorough with what needs to get done, how it applies to tests/real life, and providing examples. She makes everything clear and concise and is always ready to be there to help. She answers very quickly and is very lenient with at-home situations that affect learning. One of the best teachers I've ever had.

As a PSEO student, Professor Peterson has been amazing! She makes the material engaging and relatable to real life experiences. The first few units are tough, but she's always available for help via Zoom or provide extra resources. There are 2-4 assignments/quizzes per week, 3 exams, extra credit and 7 late passes. Couldn't recommend her enough!

Professor Stacey Peterson, Is an excellent professor to take Introduction to Psychology with she's very organized and genuinely cares about her students succeeding and wants the best for them. I thought this course was very interesting and engaging. I couldn't recommend anyone more for a psychology teacher.

Pretty easy teacher, lecture heavy but always on topic about the material. Forced group work every class.

I took this professor online and there are a few key things here. The class is easy but the lectures are straight up from 2015 which is 10 years old. She posts study guides for the exams but doesnt mention that it only covers 85% of the material until you ask. The exams can be rough but most of your grade comes from the coursework which is easy.

Stacey makes all of the assignments applied and I can see so much of what we cover around me. I feel like I can use the information and not just learn the stuff from the class. You do have to read and understand things though to apply them which can take some time. But there is a lot of feedback and no final exam! Just a project You get to pick!

I absolutely loveddd taking her class. The course is pretty straight forward and easy, as long as you pay attention and do your work. She gives about 1 assignment & 1 quiz each week, and an exam every couple weeks. You can tell she's very passionate about what she teaches and she cares about her students, which makes the class fun and engaging.

There's a lot of reading, but the lectures are really good and cover most of the topics. Overall a really easy class, especially with her giving 7 late work passes through the semester. On average, expect 1-2 quizzes and 1 assignment per week, and 3 tests over the semester. Very straightforward.
