I absolutely loved this class and wish I could take it again. Only a few exams and they're very easy. She gave a few 5 questions quizzes that were very easy and taken directly from the lecture. Dr. Foster is so nice and helpful. Take this class!

I absolutely loved Professor Foster. She was one of the nicest teachers I've had so far and she makes the discussions interesting by using her children as examples. It's a super easy class to get an A in if you study for the exam by using the study guide she provides you.

Dr. Foster was amazing! She's really passionate about what she teaches and makes sure all the material is covered before the exams. Gives 5 pop quizzes, mostly to make sure you're attending the lectures. I would definitely take this class again. Learned a lot in the process!

Dr. Foster is super sweet. She posts all of her powerpoints online but it's nice to go to class because she gives lots of examples. She's totally open to questions if you're confused. We had four tests throughout the semester which were all basically straight from the study guide which was straight from the powerpoints.

This was my favorite class this semester because I always enjoyed Foster's lectures. She is such a sweet lady and understanding teacher. Pretty much review the PowerPoint slideshows and study guides and you will pass the class. Few pop quizzes. Highly recommend. I wish I could retake this class again if I could.

Dr. Foster is an amazing professor! She is really understanding and caring. There is always plenty of time to get assignments done. Be sure to show up and take notes (pop quizzes are open notes). She provides study guides for exams, and they are easy to navigate. She lays everything out for her students, and lets you know her expectations.

Stacie is a great professor. She is extremely helpful and really wants you to be successful. Does not take attendance but she gives 5 pop quizzes through the semester and drops the lowest so you can miss one and be fine. 4 exams and 2 papers. Go to class and pay attention and you will get an A

Dr. Foster makes a dull subject matter more interesting by connecting it to real life when able. 4 tests (kind of hard, I never got an A on them) that are only 30 points. There are a few papers and assignments, but pretty much if you do them and follow the instructions you'll get full points. Highly recommend her for any class! Book not used much.

Professor Foster was a great professor. The readings came straight from the textbook and were a bit much at times but once you do the reading, you'll ace the tests. She gives study guides that basically tells you everything you need to study. Discussion boards are weekly and interesting. She responds to emails right away and shows that she cares

Dr. Foster is a genuinely nice woman who cares about her students and will always offer her extra help; however, I did find her PowerPoints to be quite lackluster and she did have some issues answering outside questions about the subject. Attendance is not mandatory, but there are five pop quizzes, and you absolutely need the book for assignments.

10/10 Highly recommended. Super interesting class, she does a great job explaining herself and answering every question. Would take any class she taught. No homework. 3 short essays. 5 pop quizzes (you can use notes).

Extremely nice professor who will go out of her way to help students succeed in her class. Yes, she wants you to get an 'A', which you can't say about all professors. The two papers are half your grade, but they're easy since she does a nice job outlining expectations. Meeting with her to go over test study guides was very helpful for me.

I was a terrified to take research methods but it was not bad at all! I missed quite a few classes/quizzes but still got an A, btw. She gives clear instructions, study guides, etc., and doesn't try to trick you on tests! The final is not cumulative! You don't write a research paper, only 1 reviewing other research, and 1 critiquing yourself.

TAKE THIS CLASS you won't regret it!! Dr. Foster made the class a fun and enjoyable environment. Amazing lectures, really awesome and deep discussions in class. My favorite class and teacher at ASU so far. No homework, just 4 exams which are an easy A if you just listen in class. There are 5 pop quizzes but they are open note.

Really easy A!! As long as you come to class you will do well. The lectures always had really interesting discussions. She stuck to the study guides on the exams. I really liked the textbook, it was a very interesting read and the key to doing well on the exams. Professor Foster had to put up with a lot of idiots so I give her mad props for that.

Stacie is the most caring professor in the world, she goes out of her way to know everyone and be of purpose. I had her for FAS 101 and DONT buy the book- you do not need it!! Also, her study guides are exact to the test for the most part which is great, you just have to put in work. Only problem is very little grades in class other than exams

Fav prof so far. She is so nice and is always on top of things. Very relatable and her stories in class are so much fun to hear. USE THE STUDY GUIDE. Not very hard but definitely you definitely learn a lot. Take her if you can.

I loved this class! It was what actually made me want to change my major. She does about 5 pop quizzes per semester which are open note and her tests are a breeze. She'll even look over your study guide for you before tests. She really cares about the success of her students both inside and outside of the classroom.

LOVE HER! I took a 9 am with her which is way too early but I really dont mind getting up because class is actually interesting. As long as you take notes and do the (very few) assignments, you'll do fine. This class was required for my major but I'd recommend it even if it isn't for yours. Also dont buy the textbook, its free online

You need to go to class. Go to her office hours before each test with your study guide filled out and she literally tells you what to know for her tests. AWESOME lectures. I am a senior studying business so this class didn't pertain to my major but I learned SO much. I think every college student should be required to take her class. 10/10.

Easy class if you pay attention and take notes. If you miss a day it's not a big deal as long as you get the notes from someone. The book is not really mandatory if you want to save some money. I only looked at it once the entire semester. Good teacher.

Professor Foster has a warm and lively spirit, and it makes coming to class easy. I genuinely enjoyed each lecture, and when class would end it would be too soon. She shares a lot of personal stories, and gives ample opportunity for the class to do the same, which helped enhanced my learning. All assignements/tests reflected the material very well!

Professor Foster is so sweet & lectures are always interesting! Lots of class discussions but she makes it so comfortable and open. Overlaps really well with PSY 101, a lot of similar concepts seen from different areas of study. Take this course, it's super easy and you get so much out of it

Amazing professor. Tells interesting stories. Expects students to come to class and gets offended when they don't, gave EC to people who came on day where attendance was bad. Textbook is helpful for tests, but you could probably get away with not getting it. Really cares, she personally reached out to me and congratulated me on my scores - so nice!

One of the best professors! She is super caring, grades easy, and will have you laughing at her stories. She creates a comfortable environment to share any stories to the class. You can get away with not using the textbook. You don't have to go to class, but she makes you want to show up. One tip is to do the study guides, they help so much!

Professor Foster is the best professor I have ever had! She is easy to talk to and she genuinely cares about each students. The class is an easy A but you need to go to every lecture or get the notes because that is the way you will pass all of the exams. You learn a lot of interesting things and gain the opportunity to challenge yourself.

Exams are very easy if you use her study guides. Instead of writing a research paper, her assignments are designed to help build your understanding of research methods.

Loved this professor so much. She had the best lectures where you actually learned and benefitted from it. 3 exams that are easy as long as you do the study guide. You could probably get away with not purchasing the textbook.

Super easy A. Almost no homework. Test questions are pretty common sense and easy if you took notes. She posted the lecture recordings and notes so you can just take notes and not show up but people voluntarily go to listen to her lectures. You get 3 credits for a class you hardly have to work for (definitely a stress reliever for me).

Loved this class and professor so much! She was very sweet and loved to make her lectures personal. It did suck when we transferred to online in the middle of the semester but it was still fun and she was a very sweet lady! But she does do pop quizzes but they're easy for the most part!

This is the second class I have taken with her, she really is great. If your looking to take FAS 101 or CDE 450 take it with her you will get an A as long as you do her work. The assignments are not super hard, I have done them before the same day it was due. She really does care about her students and replies to her emails quick.

4 exams all open note 30 questions in 40 min., 2 DBs, a semester-long project (easy), and a stress diary. Overall shes very well spoken and loves teaching her students. Can get an A with very minimal effort, but what she teaches is also very relevant and informative so maybe take some time to really go over the notes/lectures :)

This class with Professor Foster was one of my favorite and easiest classes I have ever taken at ASU. The exams are incredibly easy and there is a fun challenge project through the semester. Ended class with a 101%. Def recommend. There are 5 pop quizzes for attendance 4 count so show up!

I'm a senior and took this as an elective, highly recommend! For once I have left a class that I feel like will be useful in my life! Show up everyday & stay on top of the PowerPoints as she takes them down before next lecture. I only used the search feature from the book. Get to use notes on exams. 2-3 Disc post hws! A+ if i didnt miss one quiz!

I took this class online, Ses. A, it was a really chill class with weekly discussion boards and a quiz that is open note/book.

I took her online course and I enjoyed her lectures and make sure to pay attention to those lecture videos, a lot of questions on the test about that. The only thing is that she provides a broad study guide which is kind of useless in a way. I feel like her exams where hard and half the questions didn't pertain to what was on the study guide.

This class was one of the best classes I have taken at ASU. Great professor, she is great at being an online professor, very communicative and organized. She gave me amazing feedback on all my papers and projects.

This class was amazing! The lectures were short and interesting, and there was only 1 exam and 1 assignment each week for the 7.5 week course. An easy A class that did not have a stressful workload. Take the time and do the study guides to get an A on exams. Overall, great class and professor!

One of my favorite professors ever. The class is lecture heavy and requires you to attend class for notes and pop quizzes, but the lectures are super engaging. I always looked forward to hearing the lessons, and it didn't feel burdensome at all to go to class. Grading is very clear and exams are easy as long as you do the study guide.

This class was fun and you can tell that this professor cares about each of her students. I had a big class but she still managed to make me feel seen. Biggest thing to look out for though is she does not accept ANY late work. Pop quizzes are easy but are random because that's how she takes attendance. Only class I had to use my book for.

Dr. Foster is extremely caring and understanding. You can tell she really wants her students to succeed, but also knows that life happens outside of class. She's interactive with the students, allows multiple safe spaces for discussions, and creates unique and engaging assignments. I honestly hope I have her again for another class.

Best class I have ever taken! The class was put together very well and the content and projects were interesting and relevant. There was a lot of reading required but it was at least interesting materials. Highly recommend.

Lots of reading, writing, and Ted Talks, as would be expected for a level 400 class. An easy A and a great GPA booster. Lowest test score gets dropped, 25 questions each. Need to do the reading, and you have to write a case study every week. Papers are not graded on a difficult rubric, I aced each one. Would take this class and professor again.

She is super nice and hilarious. When presenting lecture she will use her own personal experience as an example and most of the time they are pretty funny stories. The lectures aren't heavy and the assignments are simple. Definitely recommend choosing her as your professor :)

She is a very nice person and her class is actually veryyy interesting and helpful for learning about family studies. However if you miss one or two assignments it heavily affects your grade. So my recommendation go to all the classes, be ready to take notes because she doesn't give you the slides and do all the homework.

One of the best profs. Friendly, always smiling, so sweet. Come to class for slideshow notes (though it's all in the textbook) and for occasional short pop quizzes. Read the textbook for valuable relationship info and advice. Very interesting, helpful, relevant material. I feel better equipped to manage my relationships healthily and positively.

Dr. Foster is such an awesome professor. She uses stories from her own life to teach the subject, making it easy to understand the material. The assignment criteria is pretty clear and all the assignments are easy. She uses pop quizzes to take attendance, and the lecture slides are unavailable after class, so make sure to attend all the lectures.

Prof is very kind. Make sure you attend every class and make notes, there are also pop quizzes (lowest is dropped). Exams are open notes so it helps to Ctrl+F through your notes. Exams cover 1/4 of the syllabus at a time and there isn't a whole syllabus final. A+ is hard because you can only lose less than 6 points across all tests and assignments.

Did not post notes so go to class bc every test is very easy if you have the same notes as hers. Lectures were very entertaining, had a lot of stories abt herself to explain material. A lot of Ted talks. Very nice professors and assignments were fairly easy.

this class inspired me to minor in FAS, I really learned a lot. Overall the course didn't take up too much time and the TA's were very laid back. The exams were a bit difficult but manageable if you look over the textbook, its ldb but you can use your text book and notes! Easy A, very nice lady

I loved Prof. Foster!! Her lectures were always interesting, and her anecdotes were so fun to listen to. This is a super low effort class. There are pop quizzes, but if you're coming to class every day and taking notes, it's cake. The text readings are relavent, but a good skim based on the study guide before a test was always plenty for me.

Nicest lady EVER. She tells great stories, and is just excited to be there. She gives you all the info you need to be successful, so you can really just focus on enjoying the class. It was great to take as a freshman, there's a lot of self growth and reflection that you can do with this class, so the timing was great. Would highly recommend!
