Vandeputte's classroom style is to teach you the concepts, have you try the homework, and go over what ever you didn't understand the next day in class. The tests are not too difficult if you do all the homework and ask questions. Best teacher I've ever had!

Vandeputte was always crystal clear. If you had a question she would go over it in class and come in early for students that needed extra help. She would even let other students share ways of doing things that were new. The homework was practice for tests and would not fail you.. unless you didnt know the math.

She is a great teacher, she learns your name in the first few days which is kinda nice. I like how the attendance is not mandatory and she gives your all your homework assignments upfront on day one so you can take your time to do them. I'm taking her class again next semester.

I hadn't taken a Math class in 5 years and I signed up for MATH 142, the second half of the precalc book. The first time I took this class I failed. Taking it the second time with Vandeputte made all of the difference. I received a 3.9 in her class. She really breaks down the concepts and makes math fun. Great teacher I wish she taught higher math.

Stacie is an amazing professor, she gives the right amount of work for you to learn. If you fail its because either you never came to class or just never payed attention. You'll pass if you just put effort into it. She is willing to help anytime if your stuck.

Mrs. Vandeputte is one of the best professors I have ever had. I was very nervous about talking these classes, as math was not a subject I enjoyed at all, but she made enjoyable and interesting. She breaks down large new concepts to the elementary levels and then ties it right into the bigger concept of what she is teaching. She is a TRUE teacher!

The only reason to not get a great grade on your homework is because you were lazy. She does however move slowly through the material and works through the problems slowly. But she is a very helpful professor!

Took her class in Fall. Really helpful and friendly, helps when you need it. She was understanding when I had to miss classes and allowed make-up tests. I have pretty bad anxiety and she was easy for me to talk to. Her lectures were mostly out of the book, but still interesting. She's a bit forgetful but knows it.

Stacie is very clear when she explains things and gives you lots of time to come visit her if you need help. I did pretty well for the first 2/3 of the class but then it got harder on the last chapter. I came in before the test to get help and did really well on the test. I would take her again in a heartbeat. Highly recommend! She was AMAZING!

Great Prof! She genuinely cares that students understand. I observed her many times working with several students for an hour after class during summer quarter! And this was after she conducted a 3 hour class! She learned student's names immediately. Yeah, she makes some mistakes in lecture. So what! She's human not a robot! Stellar teacher!

She gives great examples, makes a few mistakes sometimes, but if you correct her she's not rude about it. She learns everyone's name as soon as the quarter starts, it's awesome. She's happy to help on homework (online or in class). The class is very easy and if you miss a day a two it's easy to catch up on. She's very sweet and adorable. Recommend.

She was not my favorite prof but she's a real solid choice and she tries to make things easy to understand. She spends a lot of time reviewing hw at the beginning of class but it helped a lot of people in the class. I put we used the book but I don't actually remember using it much. If you're bad at math, hers is the class for you.

She is very good at explaining concepts clearly. If someone doesn't understand, she tries her best to reword it and make it clear. As far as using textbooks, you don't need to buy one, but you will have to pay for it online through WebAssign (or at least that's what she had us do). No busy work, and the homework in general was reasonable and useful

She's a really good professor. She is able to explain everything fairly well but the class moved so slow. We spend 5 weeks on one chapter. Other than that, you can use all your notes on the tests which is super great!

Stacie is hands down the best college teacher I have even had the privilege of being taught by. She goes above and beyond to make sure every student understands the material being taught. This was by far the best math teacher I have ever had. DO NOT buy the book though before the first day though! She uses webassign. She goes very slow to make sure you understand and does a lot of review. You get a TON of extra credit to make up if you miss any test points. You would have to work hard to fail. Highly recommend!

Homework every day, as well as a lesson. Homework is super easy and you get lots of tries to figure it out. She also gives 2 weeks to do the homework. On the test you get one full side of notes, full sheet of paper. goes over homework everyday in class. HW is online so need a code, but book isn't necessary.

Stacie is soooo nice. The reviews are extra credit, she spends about half of class answering questions, and she always takes her time during lessons to make sure that everyone understands. She cares about all of her students and tries to get to know each one individually. One of the best math teachers I have ever had!

Prof. Stacie is amazing, but coming to class and doing your homework is VITAL. I struggled in the being by not completely completing assignments and being unable to attend class, but by utilizing office hours and doing extra credit opportunities that she gives, I ended the class with a 92%. This prof will not give up on you if you try :)

I took Stacie for Math Pre-Calc 1 & 2. She is super nice and always willing to help with problems. Shell show you how to do them in class if you had problems on the hmwk which is online. It sounds scary but its not bad at all. If youre struggling with anything shes always there to help. Super easy class if you do the work which isnt a lot

Stacie was one of my favorite professors and you can really tell she is passionate about math and her students. I took Stacie for Math 141 and 142 and I recommend her to all of my friends. Homework is very light daily but if you don't do it, it piles up. Great at explaining everything and the test has everything talked about in the class.

If math isn't your thing, this is the professor for you. 70% of your grade is homework. If you complete your hw, you will pass. Tests are very short and focus on basic concepts of the chapter, no surprises. She utilizes webassign for her program and answers hw questions in minutes, even late at night. Definitely wants you to succeed.

Stacie is wonderful! She's very caring and just wants everyone to succeed. She does 4-5 Zoom meetings for questions throughout the week and usually will respond to questions 1 on 1 in just minutes. Homework is 70% of your grade but you have 100 attempts per question and she will help you if you're stuck including on tests. Highly recommend her.

This class is time consuming and requires effort, but the system she uses (Webassign) ensures your success. The website provides many resources such as videos to watch for questions and practice questions that give alternative problems but keeps the same concept/formulas. Mrs. Vandeputte is AMAZING, she truly cares. I love her! 10/10 a favorite :)

THIS IS THE BEST MATH CLASS I'VE EVER TAKEN! It's through WebAssign, and was weighted 70% homework and 30% tests. All the homework problems had infinite tries for the same problem, and examples for how to do them. Tests had 2 or 3 tries as well. Ask for extensions if you need them, she's super nice, understanding, and made math actually enjoyable

MATH 142 is completely trigonometry. Each week, this class has a few assignments and a test over the previous week's material. The teacher uses a program called WebAssign. The professor organized the class well, and WebAssign is fairly easy to use. There is a final exam.

The best math professor I've ever had! Webassign is fantastic and made Pre-cal 2 super easy. The assignments, videos and quizzes adequately prepare you for tests, and I didn't feel stressed out while learning new concepts. Class time use was left up to the students and we could ask whatever questions we had. Sign up for her course if you can!

There are a few assignments each week that take about 1-3 hours depending on what it was on. All the tests, except the final, are only a few questions and don't take that much time. you're given infinite chances to get the homework questions right but for tests, you're given around 2-5 depending on what test. She'll tell you how many you're given.

Definitely an amazing teacher. She is so easy to get along with, helps you whenever you have any questions whether that may be in person or outside of class time. Grading criteria is so easy to understand. Tests are fairly easy (tests are not a huge part of grade). I took her 141 and 142 classes and wished she taught Calculus. Definitely recommend!

You will primarily learn from the videos and occasionally from the textbook. Most things are on WebAssign and she uses Canvas to guide through out the week. Unlimited tries on homework, and few tries on test which does not take most of your grade. Very caring and overall best professor!

I really liked her as a professor. There were few videos to learn (about 15 minutes MAX, 7 minutes MIN) and then some homework assignments to finish each week that were really easy and didn't have any questions that weren't already covered in the videos. Easily accessible and the final was a piece of cake.

Vandeputte was absolutely phenomenal! I highly recommend taking her class if you struggle with math; however, it will take lots of participation to fully understand the material. Professor Vandeputte is highly communicative and respective; she understands the difficulty of working from home and online. Just ask her and she is there to help you!

She is an AMAZING professor, gives extensions on assignments, answers emails in a timely manner, and always encourages you to ask any questions you may have. She gives lots of examples for the math problems so you feel prepared. She always lets you know of a test one or two classes beforehand and is overall a great professor. HIGHLY RECOMMEND

She uses WebAssign for homework which is great. Its very easy to get a good grade in her class. Multiple tries for each question and if you took a recent algebra class I don't see why you couldn't pass her assignments are very easy and algebra heavy. She puts walks through on all her assignments as well as the help buttons on WebAssign.

Clearly devoted to your success. Easy to reach if I got stuck, never made me feel silly for it and has a knack for simplifying concepts. I'm an older student & find online math classes difficult to learn from. If I have to take math online, the right professor makes all the difference. She's the right professor.

Professor Van De Putte was absolutely phenomenal. I'm one of those burnt out gifted kids who got really bad at math and had a lot of anxiety surrounding it, but this professor made math actually somewhat enjoyable. She was incredibly caring and helpful and super fun to talk to. This is the highest math grade I've gotten since 5th Grade. Thank you!!

I had to retake this class after withdrawing from a different teachers 142 last quarter. Stacie is the best math teacher I've ever had. I was falling behind toward the end and she extended all of the missing assignments I had. Her lecture videos are incredibly informative and brief. Multiple assignment attempts (100 per question). Best class ever.

the class was really chill i found myself not needing too much help but when i did she explained it in a way it made sense. there is about 4 assisgnments a week and about a quiz a week aswell. there are many oppurtunities to make sure you are satisfied with your grade when it comes to late assignments and retaking tests. very nice teacher

Her class is a hybrid with online assignments and lectures throughout the week via webassign. Attendance is optional but def recommended. The online assignments can be long but Stacie is very flexible with extensions. Exams are in-person and appropriately covers the material for each section. Overall really great professor and easy course!

My favorite professor yet. She's really nice and open to helping you out with work and exam. Attendance isn't mandatory she just makes sure you have your assignments done. Available many ways outside of class. Nothing bad to say about her.
