this lady knows her stuff so watch out, take lots of detailed notes. her tests are huge, too many essays, book report etc for a history class. cannot BS, this class is difficult, but good if you love history

she does know what shes talking about...taking notes cramps your hands. big tests..i worked pretty hard but i learned more than any other history class ive taken...but she can be boring...dont take a three hour class with her

She is great!!! She is this cute little thing that has so much passion for History, it just flows. She knows her stuff, but she is a fair grader. Do the work, and show up for class and you will do well.

She is very well organized and very nice. She really cares about her students, and she gives you both the midterm and final to basically memorize before taking the test. There is one big essay, 2 short ones and a midterm and final..and some quizzes, easy but be prepared to write a lot more than ot

Good Teacher, knows what she is talking about. Tests and quizzes are based on the tiny details in the book, so read in detail. Lectures tend to get boring because she goes on for the whole class period. Just take good notes and spend some time writing the two papers she gives you and you will do fine. JUST MAKE SURE YOU PAY ATTENTION TO DETAILS.

Yea lots of note taking and the lecture is usually intersting, if your into history that is lol. Good Teacher though its a shame she is a part timer Moorpark could use more like her.

This class isnt hard at all. All you have to do is put a little effort into it. At first, the quizzes were hard becuz sometimes they were over 3 chapters. but now they're easy. Her midterm is cake, she gives it to you before hand, it's just a matter of her choosing which ones. If you're interested in history, take her, if not, you'll be bored

She's great. intelligent, really knows her stuff. lectures are not too bad, just make sure to take notes. gives you exactly what to study for the tests. makes herself very available despite the fact she's part time. if you want to learn take her class.

This teacher is great! She is very informative, she loves to teach and is so fun. She doesnt take roll, but try not to miss a class bc she goes fast and you will be lost if you miss too many. I loved this class and she is very nice. She doesnt tolerate cheating or copying. She gives you a paper that has everything thats on the midterm.

shes a nice teacher and all i just do not like the way she teaches material. makes everything extrememly boring when she lectures all class. and it seems nothing from her lectures make it to the quizzes she has once every other week. its all about essays for this teacher. so if you want to take another english class on history shes the one for you

Wonderful teacher, this is her spectialy area. She really knows what she's talking about. Class is lecture and discussion and she keeps it very interesting. There are three book reviews which are easy and a take home midterm and final. I HIGHLY reccomend this class!

Easy A and interesting subject material but teacher didn't show up to class 3 times and her notes are from wikipedia. She is a nice, well intentioned lady none the less! If your interested in the topic go right ahead, but you may not learn as much as you hoped for on the topic. Take home final and midterm, 3 essays on 4 books no tests or quizzes.

Great Teacher! She not only takes an interest as teacher but as a friend! Highly reccommend taking her class!!!

AWESOME professor! History is by far my WORST subject, and I am usually not an A student... But prof. Gran kept my interest high and talked about everything with great enthusiasm. Just listen, take notes, and do the reading and you will ace the class! Highly recommend!!

Solid professor, very nice - this is a straightforward lecture/ discussion course with three essays on historical movies, a mid-term, and a final. Use the text as your basic source and take outline notes during the lecture - you'll do fine.

Extremely knowledgeable and interesting. Her class was more like what I could expect from UCLA than a community college. I am impressed with her vast knowledge and memory.

I took this class and it was great. No surprises. You know what to expect every week, and it doesn't vary. She tells you this at the orientation. Each week has the same assignments, quizzes and discussion questions. She gives you prep for the mid-term and the final. If it's not on the prep, it's not on the exam. Very straightforward.

Took 2 of her online classes and it's completely by the book, but hard. Her tests often contain questions that aren't in text (and these are 20 pt Q's!), and you have to write 2 500 wrd essay's a week. Not saying it was the most difficult class ever but if you're looking for an easy A look elsewhere.

Before I enrolled into her class I was not interested at all. At first I was completely confused but she was very helpful and I actually really enjoyed her class. I did learn a ton and now am taking another class with her!

I was surprised on the many bad reviews of this teacher! I took her online class last semester for the fall and chose to take a different course with this teacher because she was one of the easiest graders! Yea she does give a ton of homework for an online class, but this honestly helps me learn. She responds to emails fast, and answers anything.

Trust me, she's a good teacher. Took her online for His M07B, her discussions are easy, you read an article and discuss w the class. Essays are every week, however they are short essays on questions from each chapter. Her grading is simple. Her tests and quizzes are also SUPER EASY. But the trick is, you have to read. No reading, your out of luck.

Her class does demand a fair amount of work on the student's end, but it's also extremely regimented and is easy to work your schedule around. Her prompts are often times minorly incorrect but never to a point that would dramatically impede understanding. If you can adhere to a schedule and don't mind reading, this class is great.

First, there's a lot of writing in her online classes, but she is very supportive in her responses. Over time she gets much more lenient with her grading, and if you're an History major like myself it's worth sticking with her class and the work that goes with it. Not an easy A, but I learned a lot more from it than any other history class so far.

I took the Summer class for HistM180. I came into class really hating history but learned a lot and enjoyed it. Its very fast paced. There is a lot of writing, if you are a good writer, you will pass this class with an easy A. If you are not, make sure you dedicate time, she lets you submit the essays early and provides feedback for you to correct

I've taken many of Gran's online classes and I really enjoyed them. You have a weekly: discussion, quiz and essay, which are all really easy to complete. She gives great feedback on assignments and even gives you a chance to re-do the essay if you turn it in early and not happy with the grade. Highly recommend taking her for an easy grade.

Its a fast class because its online but just keep on top of readings and the posts and you'll be on your way to an A or B. The work load is like any other course not sure what everyone is complaining about. Clear syllabus so just follow along and reach out if you have problems and you'll do fine :) I would take another class with her for sure

I took her class this semester and I can not recommend Professor Gran enough! Shes extremely attentive during her course work and lectures. Yes, it is a little work heavy but I never felt that the work was not relevant to the course! Shes so kind and always ready to help.

Not sure what all the complaining is about here, its an online class so yeah its going to be lecture/text heavy. Just follow along and get things in on time like any other class and you'll do fine and pass. If you have questions reach out and she will get back.

Mrs. Gran was an amazing professor. I really enjoyed her class; everything was clear and she open things up on time and answered emails in a reasonable time. She was always willing to help. I especially liked how the midterm and final were just essays rather than multiple choice. I would defiantly recommend Professor Gran.

Mrs. Gran's class was quite enjoyable. Every week you had a quiz and a discussion board. They are both open book. She appreciates participation and you will get a good grade if you do all assignments on time. There is a lot of reading and writing but if you put in the time you will do fine. Expect to put a lot of time into this class.

Professor Gran was a fairly reasonable teacher during the summer 4 week course. There was not many assignments, though it was very writing heavy. Professor Gran was very easy to reach and she was very responsive as well. Overall, I would recommend that you take classes with her as long as you are good in writing.

The class was easy to pass with an excellent grade. If you enjoy reading and writing, you should be fine. Additionally, her essay prompts were fairly easy to understand, although you do have to write a lot. The quizzes are not too bad either since it is open notes. She also provided extra credit, which were easy.

Great instructor. Willing to clarify material. Provides textbook for free (MUST READ TO TAKE EXAMS). Discussion posts for hw and essays for midterm. She requires a lot of writing, between discussion posts and short answers for quizzes. Regularly leaves comments on work and clarifies questions. 9.5/10 would take another course with her.

Gran's class is a challenge, but worth it. Weekly discussions and essays require dedication, but she's helpful and reasonable. unstuckstudy was a game-changer for studying efficiently. Overall, a rewarding experience if you're willing to put in the work.

Prof. Stacy Gran is compassionate of the students. Late work is accepted but with points being deducted which is fair. She also gives good feedback and if she tells you to fix something and you do exactly what she says, she will give you full points for the assignment. If there's problems outside, she's understanding and willing to work with you.
