learning langueages is intimidating to many, but she makes it easy and fun. Her class is the kind you hate to have to leave.

Prof. Jazan is incredibly enthusiastic and makes learning Spanish fun, not intimidating. She has so much passion for the subject, and you will learn a lot. She wants her students to do well, and as long as you pay attention in class and read a bit, you'll have no problem in her class.

shes very caring about her students. the only bad parr is she believes because ur in spanish class and the books in english that u need to speak in spanish in class and so does she. i cant say it wasn't fun or intreasting, but all u have to do is pay attention and study a little. i would recomand her but if its ur 1st year in spanish watch out!!!!!

Her class is fun, but it gets confusing when you don't understand what she says half the time. She is funny and has a cute personality, and is adorable. But she did take us on a field trip! She's fun & if you like to learn things in an unorthodox manner, take her!

She is a good teacher. But the biggest problem is that she ONLY speaks in Spanish. She doesn't take the time to teach in English to make sure you understand. She expects you to just understand the entire Spanish language (news flash...SPANISH 101!) But I would still recomend taking her. You'll get a good grade. That's what we're looking for, right?

I took her class during the Fall semester and thought she was a good teacher. I understand Spanish, but needed help speaking and grammar. She knows her spanish grammar, only missed one class and was very helpful especially before exams. There is alot of homework, but, after all, it is a 5 unit class. I would recommend her.

Someone said below that Dr. Jazan only likes native speakers. People, this is a HUGE lie. She is a very fair teacher who gives everyone a chance to do well in the class. I am Asian, and I got an A. The lessons are not really hard, either. A Filipino guy and an Italian girl topped our class, and they had just as much awkwardness with Span as we did.

One of the nicest people you will ever meet. The WHOLE class is taught in spanish. SINK or SWIM. I highly recommend having some spanish or other foreign language background. Summer session will leave you no time for anything else. A great experience but definitely not a walk in the park. Be prepared to memorize TONS of vocab or you will fail.

Jazan is the greatest spanish teacher. Her class is tough if you're not the least familiar with the lingo. But questions are welcomed. If you're not interested in doing any extra work besides HW, then this ain't for you. You have language lab work, but the test are fairly simple (if you study).

She is a very nice woman, but this class is hard and it is a lot of work. You must study on your own because she only speaks in spanish and if you have no idea what she's saying, you'll need to teach yourself. go to her office hours and she's very helpful and speaks in English ;-)

She is the sweetest teacher I had at GCC, is so helpful during office hours, & is obviously excited to watch you learn. She wants to see you succeed. I can imagine any Spanish immersion class would be hard for non-natives, but she makes it as painless as possible. It was such a pleasure to take her class. I couldn't recommend her enough!

This class wasn't the easiest but this professor hands out A LOT of handouts to help you study and comprehend the material. She's very helpful in her office hours as well. She's usually very happy and jokes around too. Once you get the material, the class flies by.

You have to be willing to try and learn in order to do good in the class, but she just wants the best for you. If you want to learn Spanish and put an effort you should take her. I took her for Spanish 101. She is an amazing professor!! She does not test you on something that's not on the textbook. Lots of homework but they are easy. She gives you a lot of review or study materials. She's very helpful and she tries to answers all questions.

Professor Jazan is both an amazing professor and a person. She is always willing to take time and clarify the subject. I took this class during Spring and it has been a great experience. It was very interesting learning about Spanish literature, literary giants, and the background history. Also, it would take a lot of effort not to get an A!

I took her class during winter session. Long lectures, but she did manage to make it fun! Ok, to be honest, if you don't know ANY Spanish at all, don't take Spanish in a short session cos it will make you crazy. Prof J will do everything to help you but it will be HUGE workload still. However, it's a great class and I highly recommend.

She revived my memory of Spanish and made me able to speak it again. Overall, funny personality, clear instructions, and she'll try her best to make the harder stuff (e.g. subjuntivo y imperfecto) make sense to your ears. I wish she teaches 103. RECOMMENDED.

I dropped this class the in the summer because it was too hard. She is a great teacher but it is hard to learn a new language in a class full of people who already know it. I wish she could have slowed down a bit for the students who didn't know any spanish at all. I also think that student who already know spanish should not be allowed in 101.

She's really a good teacher, but you have to know Spanish well or you will get a C or lower like me. Easy to get marks from homework since you only have to finish them on time. Also she's a very helpful teacher, she will solve your problems in office hours. Sad that she's not going to teacher 103 next semester, or I will definitely take her again.

This class is all in English so it wasn't that bad for students who don't speak Spanish. She could be more organized BUT she's very sweet and genuine. You can tell she loves these stories. Take notes as she covers the readings and review her notes which is on moodle. She gave the most touching goodbye and parting advice to us. I recommend!!

Professor Jazan is AMAZING!! I had to work really hard for my grade but it paid off I learned so much from her. She cares so much about her students. GCC needs more Spanish teachers liker her!

She's so adorable and super helpful if you just ask. There's a lot of online homework (this is a hybrid class), but you get full credit just for doing it. The tests aren't difficult if you study, but the group projects were annoying. Anyway, don't take the hybrid class if you never took spanish before, unless you're a native speaker.

She's a good teacher who genuinely wants her students to learn. As a Hispanic student I was able to keep up with her lectures, which are primarily in Spanish. If you have no prior knowledge of the language this is probably not the best teacher for you- you will definitely struggle. Projects are relatively simple and homework is all done online.

I took Prof. Jazan for both 101 and 102. Her 102 hybrid is a little intense for a working student with other classes, as she assigns TONS of homework and 2 group projects. That being said, she gives incredible opportunities to make up your missing work and she is one of the kindest and most understanding teachers I have ever had.

Prof Jazan will try her best to help you succeed, but you need to put the work in. Her goal is to teach you to the point that you sound like a native speaker. She does move quickly, but her lectures are very clear and she gives out study guides and worksheets to help you on the tests. I recommend her to anyone who actually wants to learn Spanish

It's like being immersed in a Spanish country where you are challenged to understand and speak Spanish. Dr. Stacy Jazan has always been available to help outside of class as well. She's great.

Profesora Jazan is a knowledgable professor that will do anything to help her succeed. In this class you are mainly on your own. It's a bit confusing how her class is set up on canavs, there are way too many unnecessary files and finding homework assiggnments and quizzes can be hard to find. I just hoped that she would talk more spanish in class!

Mrs. Jazan is a passionate teacher. I could not have asked for a better teacher. She has a bubbly personality and is good at response time. She has office hours nearly every weekday. Homework is a normal thing but when learning a language that is not your own it is to be expected. The class i took was online, not in person but it wish it was.

I took Prof. Jazan in online Spanish 101 and followed her to online 102. She is so organized and gives you a homework sheet for every chapter with due dates and links to assignments. She also sent us reminders! She is there for her students and quickly answers emails. She is caring for her students and definitely one of the best at gcc.

Took an accelerated winter course and man, 5 credits over 5 weeks is no joke. Thankfully Dr. Jazán was INCREDIBLY kind, very helpful, and made the spoken assessments as stress-free as possible, despite them being quite nerve-wracking going into them.
