Really great teacher. She's cool, fun, smart and fairly easy. Easy to pay attention to. Just come to class and be awake and you'll be fine

very very easy. She is nice, and a lot of girls take her class. I suggest taking it in summer school; you only do 3 major speeches, and they are easy as heck. most people only want to get this over with, and this is the best way to do it.

If you gotta take this class which you do, take this class not too hard at all. 3 short impromptu and 3 long speeches

I got an A in the class cos it's really straight forward. Tests are outta the book, and she tells u what's on them. Everyone in the class becomes friends with eachother. And the teacher is aiight.. She seems kinda ****y some days tho.

She is very funny and encouraging. I would take her again. I had her for summer school but i think she is awesome. You get to debate and you get to break the ice with non-sense speeches before your big presentations. I would say definitely take her. She is very inviting.

This class was fun. I dont like speaking in front of people (i am sure many of us done) but after a couple speeches, I enjoyed it very much. She makes you feel really comfortable. You must attend class or your grade will drop a letter. Take this class in the summer. Best way to get it over with.

Great teacher! She could get angry with those who are slacking off tho. Had a debate with another class, she left it all to us. I loved that. Made us work! I like that in a teacher. Learned a lot and by the end, I could speak without shaking.

i took her for summer school and it was cake. only 3 major speeches and 4 minor speeches. She was a very easy grader on the speeches, just stay within the time limits. very friendly and funny.

She's an awesome instructor! Very welcoming when you first start the class. She understands how nervous you are and always tells jokes and stories about her life in order to make you feel comfortable and less uptight when you're there. You can't miss any major speech and attendance is a big portion of your grade. She's great! Awesome instructor!

Great teacher, very fair in speeches. Be ware of her test however. She will not take time to teach the book. The reading is left completely up to you. The book is confusing and you better not wait until the last minute to study. She will ask hypothetical questions from the reading, so you must know material cold.

She is awesome. I loved her. I was very apprehensive about this class and she makes your comfortable really quickly. What is actually asked of your is minimal compared to most classes. Stacey rocks!

Stacey is great! Easy A. Only three exams - which you can use study guides for. And only two big speeches and a debate. If you dont pass then you never went to class. Highly recommended and lots of days off from class.

Great professor whose class I can easily recommend. PROS: Only 3 or 4 test on the textbook. Allows a page of notes for the test. Very helpful in small speeches. CONS: Can seem disorganized at times. Speech prep for the major speeches I felt was lacking. I could tell others weren't sure what she expected during the major speeches.

Great teacher! She is very funny and makes public speaking enjoyable. The tests are really easy. The speeches are also a piece of cake if you make enough room in your schedule to prepare.

Professor Sloan-Graham is very eloquent, entertaining and nice. I hated having to listen to hours worth of speeches, specially those speeches that were boring and read right out of the source. I know this is a mandatory class, but prepare before your speech so you don't look like a moron.

Great, teacher! I put off speech until the last possible semester and it was not nearly as bad as I thought it was going to be. It was fun. I get SO nervous speaking in front of people too, and stacy makes the environment comfortable and we all made through just fine. We were even a little sad to be done. I recommend her class-she is very funny!!

She's super nice and personal in a way that just makes you feel comfortable in the class and with her. Her class is a little boring, but it's not her fault, it's everyone giving horrible speeches.

I loved her class! Pretty easy, as long as you study a little bit for the tests and do all of your speeches. Prof. Graham is one of my favorite teachers at VC :)

Mega fun class.If you hate speaking in public, take class!!! you will feel very comfortable in this class and you will get an A if you do all the work. There are a few tests but if you pay attention and read the chapters you will get A's in them. She's awesome!!!!!

I have taken this teacher for three classes. Not only is she my favorite teacher but I love her teaching style. She is very down to earth and helpful. She wants you to succeed and is there to make sure that you do.

Being terrified of public speaking I kept putting this class off but prof sloan-graham makes the class fun. The tests are nothing hard and the major speeches aren't too bad as long as you follow the example outline she gives prior to assigning the speech.

Took her for both group and interpersonal comm. Probably my favorite professor she is very clear in her expectations and treats everyone as adults. Go the extra mile and you will be rewarded- I was right on the border of an A and B in her group class and she gave me an A. So show up everyday and try to improve on each assignment. Read the book too!

Stacy is awesome! Before taking this class I was scares to death of public speaking. After the class is over I'm very confident with speaking in public. Take the class during summer. 10 short multiple choice quizzes, 3 small speeches and 3 major speeches. She is straight to the point with what she expects on each speech. Best comm teacher at VC!

Fair teacher in general, but will dock you a bunch if you go under or over time in your speeches. Try not to procrastinate the speeches or reseaech, but their honestly not that difficult. Tests are super easy and not worth much of your grade. Allows you to use old editions of the textbook.

Stacy is a very fair teacher. She gives you plenty of time for speeches. There are 3 tests but are super easy. And then you have 3 major speeches and a debate. I never read the textbook and still passed with an A. She is an awesome teacher and makes public speaking easy. If you want a great teacher, take Stacy!!

Stacy is a really funny teacher. She makes a class about speech really fun and easy to learn. I took it during the summer, so despite the fact that it was a summer class that started early and lasted about 2 hours, she made it pass so fast. Really recommend her.

Loved this class! Professor Graham is great. She is hilarious and made me laugh on a daily. I took Interpersonal Communication and it was during the summer. This course was interesting and interactive, obviously. All the tests are based off of the chapters in the book. So as long as you read you"ll pass every test. Recommend this class/professor!

Mrs. Sloan- Graham was one of my most favorite professors I've had at VC. She makes the material easy to relate to and always makes class interesting.

Great teacher, knows how to have fun and make everyone feel very comfortable. If you do not like to attend class, this is not the class for you. Attendance definitely matters! Overall a good teacher, I enjoyed her class and would for sure take another one of her classes.

If you're looking for a humorous professor who will answer your questions, here it is. She gives 3 exams and 4 speeches, the first speech is really a freebie, just do it and you get the points. All she expects is that you be a college student: show up to class, turn in assignments the day it's due, and follow the speech guidelines she provides.

I put this class off to my last semester because I hate speaking in class. As long as you read your textbook, do not procrastinate, show up to class and make sure you are ready to do your speech when it is your turn, you will do fine. Your success in Professor Sloan-Grahams class depends on if you do what is asked of you or not.

Sloan is an amazing professor and her class is very enjoyable. The workload is easy but make sure to practice all speeches ahead of time. You should get an A or B easily.

Professor Sloan Graham Stacey is probably on of the most outgoing teachers in VC. Her directions are clear and understandable for any lecture or assignment she gives out, however her study guides are unorganized. She is an easy grader, and assigns 5 speeches. Come to class!!!!

Honestly, one of the best teachers I've had! Shes hilarious, and her lectures are easy to follow. Definitely read the book, that's how I passed both tests. I agree her study guides are vague but if you keep up with the reading you will do fine. She was helpful and understanding when I had an issue in the class. I would recommend her class!

Stacy is so great. She eases you into giving your speeches and tries to help you feel comfortable in front of your classmates rather than just throwing you out there. She has clear expectations for all assignments, speeches, and exams. As long as you read, study, and apply yourself you will succeed in this class and feel good about public speaking.

Sloan is such a great professor, I took her class because it was another option of taking a speech class. You wont regret taking her class. You do have to do 3 presentations but there so easy! Journals and exams are part of our grade, study for the exam and get your work done and you will easily pass.

I had her for a summer class so, some things may be off compared to other reviews. I do recommend her for a summer course, she will constantly say that it will go by fast, she makes you read two chapters almost every night, then you will have a quiz on a small scantron the next day. For your final, you will have to do an informative speech.

Stacy is an amazing professor! She is really nice & makes her grading criteria very clear. I promise if you show up & read & study a bit you should get nothing less than an A. She has a very positive attitude & creates a great learning environment. She will also make you feel very comfortable during presentations, & trust me they're not that bad.

I took COMM V01 with Professor Sloan Graham in Spring 2020. The 2 months we spent in class before we had to move online were fun and easy, and it still kinda is. She told me personally that she loved my speech about ice cream. Remember to show up when you are scheduled to give a speech, or you can't present it. Great professor overall, take her!

I really enjoyed Mrs. Sloan-Graham's class. She's a very nice professor I have already recommended her class to other classmates. There are lots of terms to learn, but I learned a lot. I never felt completely overwhelmed by it The work load is tough but manageable. Take this class.

Professor Graham was a great professor and super nice it was a fully an online class we met once a week on zoom just make sure you get ahead early on homework and you will do great in this class . I learned a lot from this class it will benefit you in the long run. As a communication major I enjoyed this class

I took her class online and was a good class. I think her quizzes and tests are not too difficult as long as you are understanding what you are learning. A lot of the information you need will be from the textbook. Presentations and weekly discussions are a must. Honestly, if you do all the work you will pass!

I took Comm V15 in the Fall 2022 semester as an 8 week class, so as you can imagine, the work load was pretty heavy. There are a lot of discussions, and usually two chapters you need to read a week. Most of her quiz and test information is derived from the reading, so as long as you stay on top of your work, you'll do well!

Prof Sloan-Graham had amazing lectures and she was very clear about what she wanted and expected. 2 quizzes per week as well as 3 speeches in the term.

Professor Sloan-Graham was amazing! Her power points were not boring at all and her class was super interesting! I would definitely take her class again! Her quizzes also were not bad at all! She got back to me per email very fast and always willing to give me feedback and answer my questions!

One of the easiest classes. Her lectures helped a lot and she gives honest feedback. I took the summer course so it was fast paced but well worth it i also learned so much.

Two of the reviews on here are pretty negative and I would just like to say that it's up to you to complete the work and if you read her syllabus it gives strict instructions. If you are not doing well, simply do not take the course. She is an extremely wonderful teacher.

I really enjoyed Prof Sloans class. She is very strict on due dates, attendance and grades fairly hard. However I really enjoyed her class and learned a lot from both her and peers. I would take again and I would recommend, but only if you can be on top of your stuff with her class!
