Professor Ulbig is great! I started this class absolutley hating statistics, but she changed my viewpoint on it completely. She's very willing to help you if you need it. She even come to class early to help anyone who needs it. She gives you a lot of problem sets to do, but she explains everything on them!! DEFINITELY MUST TAKE!

She's pretty much one of the greatest professors here. The material might be difficult but she works with you until you understand it. She also makes the tests the way you want. She makes sure you understand question wording and what she's looking for and also sets up the tests in the format you want. She definitely wants everyone to do well and is a pretty kick ass prof.

Dr. Ulbig is amazing! She gives study guides and study sessions for each test. The test and the study guides match up exactly so you never have to wonder whats on the test. Attendance isn't mandatory but the test comes for the power points. Easy A, great professor!

At first the idea of getting a clicker sucks, but then a few days into the class, you'll start loving it. I love going to class because she likes to start class off with current events. She's really good at helping you study for the tests too. I would recommend having her as a professor.

Omg, she is amazing. Show up to class do your clicker points, listen and take notes. Study the notes and all the clicker questions she will post before each test. Some of the clicker question will be on the test. Do not buy no textbook, not needed.

Professor Ulbig is one of the most laid back and chill professors I have ever met. She has powerpoints and if you listen, write down the stuff she tells you frm te poweroints and study it before the test you'll do great. I barely study for this class and I got an A. I recommend her to all of my friends and anyone who has to take this class.

EASY CLASS! No text book required. You must purchase the clicker. Attendance isn't mandatory but if you miss alot of class you won't have enough clicker points. Tests are straight from the powerpoints. Study your notes and you'll be fine.

TAKE DR. ULBIG! She is very clear when giving a lecture. Test are easy, but you have to study. She offers test review sessions the day before a test. I highly recommend you go. Dr Ulbig makes poli sci easy for anyone to understand and tries to make it fun as well. Easily my favorite professor I had this semester!!

BEST TEACHER EVER, she give outs free points on random days so make sure you go to class everyday. the clicker points really help your grade. the tests are exactly like thte notes, and reviews so make sure you go to the study sessions to get the review answers. I had a B but she bumped me up to an A because i asked for help.

Ulbig is the best! her class was really easy if you do not pass her class maybe college is not for you because she gives you all the tools you need to pass. online power points,reviews, post the clicker questions that end up on the test and if all else fails just meet in her office she is more than willing to explain it in anyway you can understand

I've had Dr. Ulbig for multiple classes and love her! Classes are self paced, but also have due dates. You can easily get ahead and get the class done when it's taken online. She grades fairly and is all around AMAZING!

Great professor, really helpful and easy to talk to and does a great job at explaining government to you. This is a basic government course but she gets you ready to understand other political science courses.

Dr. Ulbig is great. I took her for both GOVT 2305 and 2306 and it was a piece of cake. Not only does she explain the material well but she gives you a million chances to earn your grade. Go to class for the participation points and you can practically fail the tests and still pass. Also gives some extra credit every now and then. Easy A.

It is extremely difficult to fail. She provides endless opportunities to earn points and extra credit. I studied twenty minutes the morning of each exam and received an A for he course.

I cannot(and probably never will) understand politics. But Prof. Ulbig breaks the material down so it's easier to digest! She provides so many study tools to help you understand the content. Power points, learning objectives, clicker questions, and lecture study guides are all available on Blackboard. She's easily one of the best profs. I've had.

This class was interesting to me. Lectures were great Ulbig makes them fun. Just make sure to get the participation points and you will do just fine. Make sure for the exams to learn not memorize. I would take again. About the textbook you do not need it but it will help clarify anything if needed.

An overall great professor! She offers participation points throughout the semester and if you have more than enough she'll count it as extra credit. She gives great lectures. Gives lecture study guides to fill out during lecture. Tests require more than just memorizing study guides, you have to know your stuff. Funny and energetic professor!

This class has a lot of work but Professor Ulibig allows you to work at your own pace so you can finish as early as you want. Watch the lectures and take the quizzes and you can easily get an A.

Great online lectures. Soooo may quizzes/homework; luckily you can work at your own pace. Only had a cumulative final at the end of the semester so get Good grades on your quizzes, which are easy and 3-8 questions each, and you'll have more room to afford a low grade on your final and still get an A or B+.

Took this class on-line. Homework for the entire semester is available and able to be turned in up to the second to last day of class. Final day is test. I was able to pretty much do this entire class the weekend before in concluded. I don't recommend it because that a lot of lectures but it is possible. I got a 95% overall.

Great Professors, she truly cares about her students. I was taking a quiz and my computer died and i got a low grade and she literally reopened the quiz and allowed me to redo it. Super nice and wants to see you succeed.

Course had 263 total available pts.: 150 Class Participation, 100 Final Exam (13 bonus pts.). 225 pts. or more: A, 200-224: B... Class Participation pts. earned by multiple choice quiz questions (meaning 150 quiz questions). The Final Exam consisted of 100 m.c. questions with 2 hr time limit. There were 11 Topics, each with mult. parts (most A B C)

Professor Ulbig is AMAZING. I took her during Covid and she is very organized and has great lectures. I never made anything but As on all my exams, her exams are easy and are based on the notes. You dont need to buy the book. 4 exams and 1 final. The final replaces any and all lower exam grades but is optional. 1 assignment a week. Easy A.

Professor Ulbig was a great professor. Her lectures were amazing. She explains things so well to where you will understand. It is easy to pass her class as long as you pay attention to her lectures. She does not assign that much work, so you have to make sure you do good on each one. The work is not hard at all.

Professor Ulbig is an amazing teacher, I recommend going to office hours and looking over your tests with her! She will give you test-taking strategies that help a lot. Before tests go to her and she will go over your flashcards and make sure you have the correct information. She is amazing!!

She is an amazing teacher! Her lectures are very clear and short, you only have 1 assignment a week, 4-5 tests in a semester, no class on Friday, at least 5 bonus activities, and always available. You can always contact her. She'll let you look back over your test or complete the weekly assignment in her classroom with her help.

Ulbig is a very good professor, im just bad at Government and all things related to remembering past events in this country. Her lectures are short and straight to the point, you get one assignment a week, bonus point activities (do those!), lets you look back at your exam and see how you did, easy to talk to. I have taken her three semesters, and I have loved every single one of her classes. None of her courses have been hard to get A's in, she is very clear about her expectations, willing to help you both in and out of class. Prof Ulbig is one of the best history professors I have ever had! She makes it very easy for students in her class to succeed. Everything she goes over in class, she also posts online. There is also extra credit opportunities for every exam. She makes a sometimes boring subject interesting!

I'm typically bad at anything history related but I love Dr. Ulbig. She is super chill and her class is easy to keep up with. This is my 2nd class with her as my teacher and I love how she keeps the same format for both of them. There's only test and online assignments to turn it so it's not homework heavy. Her test come straight from her lectures.

Friday assignments are easy and all are open from the start of the semester, helps if you're worried about a test heavy class. Multiple extra credit opportunities. Reviews cover all material that could be on the test. Also great lecturer.

Such a nice and funny professor who made this class super enjoyable and easy to understand! Everything is online and you're able to get ahead if you want. Everything was super straightforward and she really does care about helping students understand the material. She gave out reviews for every test and you get 2 attempts for the weekly quizzes.

If government isn't a strong subject for you, take Dr. Ulbig! She is great at explaining concepts and her slideshows explain things with pictures and diagrams for all of you visual learners. Grades consist of tests, weekly assignments and reviews for the tests that count as bonus points. It is very easy to do well in her class.

Prof Ulbig is just amazing. Her lectures are great, she's constantly adjusting things if she sees a pattern in her students. Online activities due every Friday.. TAKE HER!! I took her for two semesters and did well in both classes. Attendance is not mandatory but going will help you understand the material more. Each test is easy if you understand the material and do the worksheets. Do the online quizzes, they add up!! Ignore the bad ratings, this class is not bad AT ALL.

I would 100% recommend anyone who needs to take this class to take Professor Ulbig's class. She is an outstanding professor, but note that it is best to attend the lectures, and there will be a lot of lectures. The grades consist of online activities with quizzes and exams covering what was covered. The class isn't hard at all, trust me.

Probably one of the best professors at Sam Houston. You can't get a better professor for Texas Government. If you take a M/W/F class, Friday's are online days because it's just an online activity so you don't have to show up. 4 exams, optional final, online activities every Friday. Overall an amazing professor who teaches and you actually learn.

Professor Ulbig is literally so good. She lectures well and most of the time it's very apparent what needs to be written down for notes. Tests are fairly easy if you do the review she drops lowest test grade. She gives very good clear note outlines that helps THE MOST. But don't think you don't need to take notes outside of the guided ones, you do.

Makes lectures intersting by including brain breaks from the PP. Online activities every friday in place of optional class time. Lowest exam score is dropped, all PP are posted, Bonus activites before every test for extra credit. 4 exams with optional final. All exams are easy as long as you study. Ulbig is open to all questions and passionate.

love her so much, she was my favorite for american government because she made it interesting. I'm normally really bad at all things government but she explains it in such simple terms. As long as you follow the lecture outline in class you'll do just fine on the tests and online activities.

Professor Ulbig is one of the best teachers Ive ever had. I took her for TX and American gov because she's amazing. She gives you outlines for lectures, and exam reviews are almost exactly the test. She gives at least 5 bonus points for every test. Attendence isn't mandatoy but I strongly recommend going. If you miss she has the powerpoints online.

Ulbig is a good professor, especially if you prefer taking notes on a laptop. If not, you will need to print a lot to handwrite the worksheets provided. Dr. Ulbig knows what she is talking about and explains in-depth. She gives you a pdf of the textbook. The extra credit is easy and helps you with the exam. Definitely go to the lectures they help a lot. If you go to Friday classes she pretty much gives you the answers to the online activity. The grading can be a little confusing but she helps you.

Ulbig's class is simple as long as you do the work and come to class. She doesnt play around with BS excuses and tends to be more understanding if she knows you attend class regularly and actually pay attention during her lectures. She's pretty cool and I know she's not everyone's cup of tea but I felt like she was a great professor.

If you don't go to class, you probably won't pass. She posts notes online, but they are basic, so go to class to understand the concepts. She has one weekly assignment, extra credit every test, and the last exam is a final, but it's optional. Very passionate about class and easy to follow. Also, don't leave mid class, she will call you out.
