This teacher was very kind. Yes, a bit of babbling here and there, but he does help you out. The papers are not that hard if you keep nagging to him about what he wants. He is not that bad...pretty kool if you do your sh**.

i took modern black lit with him... he's the most down to earth chill dude ever, he lets you dicuss, rework your papers. hes REALLY good.

Stafford is a good guy, he's cares about this students (he's all about second chances). His classes are clear and fun (just get ready for papers... but its a english class).

He is very helpful. he is always there when you need him. He understand life of students at lagcc.

I'm currently taking his class and all i have to say is that he's seriously great!!! I LOVE HIS CLASS. He is extremely passionate about what he teaches and a really understanding professor. Hard grader, but wonderful :)

STAFORD IS THE COOLEST GUY VERY FUNNY AND ALWAYS WEARS A BOW TIE!!! EXTREMELY HELPFUL HE TEACHED MB4 THE FRESHMAN SEMINAR CLASS WHICH WAS VERY EASY.

This was a pathetic class. People could have the stupidest idea in the world, and write 2nd grade english, and he would find a way to legitimize it. You couldn't do any wrong. If you forgot or didn't do something, there was no consequence. Yet my writing improved tremendously after taking his class. One of my two best English teachers in 14 years.

Really funny, sweet, and cool teacher. Very down to earth, if you hate writing but HAVE to do it I suggest to try to have this guy as your prof.

I like him, but I would not recommend him for the six weeks section, he made us read four books in six week. And this books were long, he never I agree with you and he is never clear on what he wants in the essays.

Cool guy, down to Earth, wears bow ties. A lot of reading and 3-4 papers, plus rewrites. The rewriting def makes you a better writer. Related rap and current entertainment topics to African American literature so the class wasnt to boring. Does favor Af. Am. students though, you'll hear him constantly praising them for the stupidist things.

Cool professor, really nice. My writing improved greatly during his class. Uses batman and watchmen as textbooks, seems easy but they are hard to analyze. He lets you rewrite all paper so you pass. Not always clear but does explain if you ask. He really encourages you to do your best. Attendance and class participation count towrd your final grade.

This guy is a great professor. He will work with you if you talk to him. One of the last profs who values creativity and acknowledges hard work and effort. He's very laid back which is often mistaken for negative things.Don't be fooled. He's good. Take his class. He knows his stuff and he understands students better than most.

Very simple. Dr G. is a great instructor. Do your assignments on time and revise them if needed and you can get a good grade if you deserve it. I never thought learning English could actually be FUN! (when you're reading comics :)

Prof. G great teacher you read comics for this class ? Easy A he won't fail you if you get at least a passing grade on every paper you turn in. He doesn't want to fail anyone. He's an easy teacher who wouldn't want to spend no more than $20 total on books!?

Dr Stafford is a great Professor. He allows his students to redo their papers if they're not satisfied with the grade they received. His lectures are outstanding! I recommend this Professor to the who wants to learn.

Funny and yes he has swag. He can be very laid back and it can be easy to become lazy in his class, but don't. Put in the work, show him you care about your grade and you'll be sure to get an A.

Pretty cool , down to earth guy. I enjoyed every moment of his class. Even though he can sometimes ramble on with his lectures. If your a comic fan this is the Professor to take.

He is the coolest professor ever! He jokes a lot. Maybe he jokes a little too much but he is trying to make learning fun. He is down to earth and it is easy to become best friends with him. He is an easy A but you do have to earn it. He is a unique professor. He is not strict at all. In fact he is a caring and understanding professor. TAKE HIM!!!!!

Three 600 word papers to combine into final research paper. Textbook is a comic: Fun Home. Easy lessons, lots of help given, and opportunities to fix and re-submit papers for a better grade. Would definitely take again :D

A wonderful professor who truly cared about the students! He allows make up work and is available during office hours and is willing to help. He was also a very patient professor and dealt well with my constant questions. Our "textbook" was basically the stories we had to read for class. He also allowed extra credit.

He was an amazing professor I had the pleasure of learning from. He's SO funny and a super cool guy. He's a generous grader and very flexible when it comes to homework. His papers are super easy to do and I'm really hoping I'll take him again in the future. TAKE HIS CLASS DAMN IT

He has a mastery of the subject; and genuinely enjoys teaching it. Please take this class if you are a student who wants to learn and participate. He is a very good professor and cares about the student, but will not baby them. Everything he says relates to the subject and he encourages thinking in the class and the classwork.

One of the best professors I ever had. He does such a great job and try to help everyone as much as possible. Lets not forget he's beyond funny. He's just amazing.

Amazing Prof in bow tie! He has mastery of the subject, humble and respectful to students. I love his teaching method; he makes sure you do your part by giving time to finish your work. I fell in love with comics because of this prof. I strongly recommend him.

I took him for Ena 101. he is a very funny and caring professor. you need to show your work on time and try to improve on your writing. he will give us a chance to rewrite it. show your work and you will do great. go to his office hour he will help you a lot.

This professor was great, I actually looked forward to going to his class! If you dont understand something hell sit with you and make sure that you understand. He cares about his students. If youre confused about something all you have to do is talk to him, dont be shy. He helped me become a better writer and appreciate reading and writing.

Stafford is very helpful and very funny. He gives three 5-paragraph essays and gives you the option to redo them for a higher grade. He goes over the midterm and final, which are based on the comic book: "Fun Home," by Allison Bechdel. Super easy A, just hand in papers and go to class. He also understands that life can be tough.

During the COVID-19 this professor is the best, the attendance isnt needed if you have personal problems but the work is . But I recommend showing up for attendance. He gives you a chance to redo your writing and actually tells you what to fix all I had to do was fix it . Very understanding and caring .

Just with one word "Amazing." I learned a lot from Dr. Gregoire. Dedicate yourself and do the work it is not hard. Just stay focused. He really knows how to teach.

HONESTLY, ONE OF THE BEST CLASSES. AN ABSOLUTE GEM. He is very understanding, especially since quarantine hit. You will be able to make up all work if needed. He isn't tough on grading. Attendance isn't necessary, but he recommends attending if ENG isn't your best subject. He will always give feedback and correction on papers. So many pros. A++

He was very clear on what he expected from students. Show up to class, complete assignments and youll pass.

He was really straightforward and accommodating. He only expects a decent thesis, in-text citations, and a works cited page, and he plans to work on these throughout the semester. In terms of deadlines, he is quite accommodating. He chose to utilize a comic book as the text, which was unique.

He is very understanding for days you are absent and he gives adequate amount of Homework.The classes are engaging.He is very passionate about his family and life.He a great speaker and great grader.I think he is not bad as people say he is.The final paper is only 6 pages and you work through a semester to build up to the final.

Enjoyed working with this professor, was understanding when it came to attendance and was passionate towards his lectures. Grading criteria is clear and not difficult to comprehend.

I returned to college after seven years, and Eng is my second language. I was nervous initially, but he always tried his best to make me comfortable and give me a chance to improve by rewriting papers. He is caring, and his lecture is interesting; I never get bored in his class. He is the best professor I have ever known.

Took him for eng101. He is pretty chill and gives a decent amount of homework. Hes respectful and will bring a lot of dad jokes to class but overall if you do your work you should be fine. For my class, we had to use the Batman comic book to write our essays so it was pretty fun. Recommend.

I'm reading the negative reviews, and from my experience and my friend. We can say that Stafford rarely gets mad but it happens. Stafford was somewhat unorganized but the book he made us read was nice. He's not evil like some of the reviews say but everyone has their own experience.

Stafford was very kind especially since it was my first year of college, most the reviews sound like they had a hard time with him because they were either not doing their work or not showing up, as long as you do both of these and talk to him and ask questions you'll be fine

Professor Gregoire was literally the best. In ENG101 you will write 4 essays in total and they are not long ones. He uses a comic book as well. I can't even lie if you do all your work and listen to his instructions, you will most definitely pass. I miss him already
