You MUST read the book. His lectures are interesting and he can be quite funny. Some questions on the tests come directly from the lecture, so it is a good idea to attend class, but he does not take attendance. For our class, he required a 2-3 page paper, summary and reaction for each chapter.

Study, go to class, and take a lil' bit of notes and you'll do fine. Really study the book though because he tells a lot of stories. I really enjoyed his class, but I think I got a C. This professor is the best one to take for psychology. I am not a psychology major nor did I have any interest in it before his class. He has a great sense of humor! while he may go off on random things sometimes it was always a good time. Attendance is not mandatory however read the book! you read the chapters and know the definitions you get an A
