Jerzak is honestly a REALLLY good prof. He's one of the very few that actually cares about his students. If you must take phys, take it with him. He provides lots of extra help & go to lecture, he gives hints before the tests. His test are resonable if you read the text and do his the prob he assigns.

I didn't take high-school physics and I still managed to get an A. Jerzak is truly a wonderful man. He is smart, funny, and kind. His tests are more than fair (with some questions exactly like the assigned problems). However, when students preform poorly he is ready to bell curve. York needs more profs like this.

Amazing professor. Undoubtably the best professor at York. You must work hard to get a good mark in this class though. If you failed his class, then it's not his fault, it's all yours. York is known to have very bad science profs but this guy isn't one of them! I wish he could teach my chemistry and biology classes as well..

This prof is an example of competence. All you need to do in his class is the textbook examples. Do them as soon as possible and you're guaranteed an A or A+.

Professor Jerzak is really kind, really helpful and a really great lecturer. He is funny even when he doesn't try to be and it always feels nice to be in his class. His TAs are pretty easy for the labs and the assignments can give you an easy 5 percent.

Amazing prof. All his tests use examples from online assignments, and the assignments he takes up in tutorials. I got a C+, but it was my fault. Attend his lecture and tutorial, you'll fly though the course. The labs are super easy as well! He himself is a nice, funny and helpful man.

Took 1420 and then BPHS2090 purely because he was lecturing. Get to know him! He is very approachable and a joy to talk to. Has provided great reference letters and is very genuine! Amazing!!

Despite his accent being a bit tough to understand sometimes, Jerzack is definitely one of the most helpful first year profs you can get. He's very in tune with the needs and attention span of students. He teaches to the test, and will modify it based on student comprehension in lectures. Don't talk in his class, however. Chatter is his pet peeve.

He really changed the way I learned physics. Previous physics teachers were always so unenthusiastic. But not Jerzak! He's an awesome prof because he REALLY wants you to learn the concepts. amazing prof. terrible class arrangement. found it really hard to write tests involving full attention under those conditions. they cant even check student ids because of the pullout desk. expect to be elbowed by your neighbours at least twice during the test and make mistakes you have never in your life have made before. prof was A+ though

Professor Jerzak is by far the best professor I have ever had. I was his class representative for both PHYS1800 and PHYS1801 and he was very involved with the well-being of his students (e.g. he asked for feedback and areas of improvement). He is a genuinely caring and approachable person and he explains concepts in a clear and concise manner.

Prof. Jerzak is an amazing physics prof. Simply the best. His lectures are always clean and organized and he explains tough concepts very well. His midterms and exams can be on the more tough side. But having him is so worth it. Plus, he also makes adjustments on exam scores when they're below average. All in all, GREAT PROF!

His communication skills are excellent. He goes out of his way for students. Responds to emails quickly.

He is by far the best prof you can take physics 2 with, his exams are not even hard they are a combination of his past exams that he post on moodle. He is so nice and he try to help every student.

Anything in Lectures or Tutorials can and will be on the tests, but nothing more. Participation and attention are key. The textbook is useful for supplementary learning and assuring concepts, but he is also available after most classes. Suggested to take notes and attempt his questions. 10/10 would be a student of again.

Jerzak is an amazing professor, his lectures were so amazing that my bio major roommate would attend for fun at 8:30 AM. The only thing to be careful about is his tests can be quite hard, but he had bell-curved almost everything in the course. overall I highly recommend taking anything he teaches.

AMAZING PROF!! He is one of the gems York U has and trust me I commutted three days a week for 1hr 30min just to attend his lecture and everytime I would leave the room without any confusion. Amazing prof and teacher. Go to his lectures pay attention and do his sample test questions. Questions tests and exam are near identical to his sample test.

Very engaging lectures and course material is delivered very concisely. As long as you read the slides and practice from his sample questions, you will be prepared for the midterms and exam. The practice questions especially are extremely similar to the ones on the tests and exam, and he covers many of them in tutorials.
