I can't understand how Stan the Man got so many bad ratings. I thought he was awesome and so did everyone I know who's taken him. He is opinionated but at least he's passionate and he knows what he's talking about. He keeps things interesting.

Great, fascinating lectures. Seems like a very nice guy, though he has a conservative slant and considers CNN to be left-wing, but he's fair to both sides. His course was my favourite this year.

Was one of the only teachers that I enjoyed and the only class I didn't skip on a regular basis. He keeps you awake with his humour and...well I was kind of attracted to him...to look at him he kind of reminded me of George Costanza...

Simply Amazing.... makes class interesting, has a cool sense of humour, and makes politics and int'l relations incredibly interesting and comprehensive no matter how complicated and vague they might be at some times... Strongly resommended as a teacher.

Very helpful and knows what he is talking about. Lets you know what to study for the exam and welcomes questions from the class with enthusiam. My best prof yet. Makes class and the subject interesting too.

Amazing class and teacher! I really enjoyed going and he was great at keeping us engages. He told us what to study, i feel like i am coming away from this class with a huge base of knowledge that i did not enter the class with. It is not super difficult, and it is engaging.

absolutely amazing prof. very engaging, i never missed a lecture. he structures them in a way that is so easy to understand and he is so funny (he doesnt even try!). he informs students what to study, no need for text just lecture notes. i replaced a class for next semester with 315 cause he's best.

He's got a hard shell but he's actually a very nice guy. He explains everything really nicely, and he makes it interesting. I didn't even crack the text and i wouldn't even recommend buying it... just go to class, take good notes, and you'll do fine.

does not really know as much as he leads on. gives his different classes different dates for important historical events. will make history simple, but then again it may not be accurate. easy to get a good grade but you will not acquire too much accurate information.

Easy marker and easy-going, nice man, approachable, entertaining, and straight-froward about his conservative opinions. Hasn't revised his exam or his lectures in a decade. Considers himself an expert, but his material is for CEGEP kids. Worth taking for an easy grade, but you'll only learn so much.

very easy marker. you have to go to class, then you will have no problem, if you don't go, you will have no chance. class is very entertaining. has a lot of interesting stories to tell about different subjects so you will learn some nice additional infos.

A very nice guy. At times he presents a very biased view of things esp. with regards to Middle East matters. However, the classes are usually entertaining and if you take good notes an 'A' is a sure bet. you practically don't even need a text book.

tells you exactly whats on the midterm and final...if you can get a copy of a previous midterm, dont even bother going to class cause it will be the exact same midterm, he hasnt changed it in years. makes class interesting and encourages debates/discussions, just side with his opinion...

I took this class as an elective and found it very infomative. Sure the final paper was due the same day as the final exam, but besides that one discrepency the class was really easy(And the textbook is unneccessary, take class notes!)

This guy is a good teacher and makes class entertaining by encouraging students to take part debates and discussions. Dont bother buying the book, just go to class and take notes, he tells you exactly what's gonna be on the midterm and final. He hasnt changed the midterm in years so try to get a copy of an old one and you're set! GPA booster!

Really like this teacher, made what could have been a really boring subject very interesting. He is an easy teacher as he tells you what is going to be on the exam before you take it. you HAVE to go to class though and take good notes. Text book is not helpful

Teacher is hilarious. The timing for the class really sucks(8:30pm)...but i always look forward for it. Prof is clear and gets to the point... would definitely recommend this teacher

This Professor has a great deal of knowledge, where international history and politics are concerned. He opens yours eyes to contemporary issues, not to mention he has a great sense of humour. I highly recommend this course to students pursuing their major in international politics or history.

One of the best teacher I ve ever had.Go to every class(it only last 1h30 max, never the 2h45 listed), take notes, and then smash mid term and final. You get the questions in advance!! For the paper,do a little research, go talk to him and he ll tell you he expects. I higly recommend this class that is also very interesting, and greatly taught.

This prof is a tad biased - it is clear what he thinks of certain issues.. however, he is extremely clear in his explanations, his class is interesting, and he gives out the questions to the final and midterm. You'll get an automatic A if u go to every class and take notes. Don't buy the book - useless.

He does have strong opinions against what he sees as injustices, one could actually feel the passion when he speaks out against human right abuses! Wonderful prof, strongly recommended.

Easy to understand, teaches a very good beginner course in International Organizations with a focus on the U.N.

This man is an excellent prof, I retain everything that was taught in that class, because of this man's terrific teaching skills. There are a lot of profs at Concordia with horibble teaching skills, they need to sit in on one of this man's class to see how the job should be done

You'll learn so much from his class without having to do ANY textbook reading, and the workload is light. I'm taking another class with him next semester because he's so damn awesome! Don't listen to anybody else. He is AMAZING. I took him in Dawson and forget how amazing he was. Classes are riviting, he gives you the questions for exams, will look over your paper as much as you want before handing it in, sooooo funny and interesting. I LOVE HIM.

This professor was nice and his exams were easy. However, I would not take another class with him. I don't feel that I learned enough about IOs and although the examinations was easy, the final questions regarding the definitions were arbitrary. I got a B+ with ease, but I am normally an A student. I would not recommend the class to those who want to learn.

As long as you come to class and take notes, you'll pass with flying colors. Plus, there's a lot of latitude with the final paper.

This is by far the best prof I've had at Concordia. I've never been the type of student who attends all classes but this guy is just passionate about the topic so he made me look forward to that class every week. He really makes all the other profs I've had here look like bitter old farts. Everyone should take a class with him.

The best teacher I've ever had! I find it hard to believe that one day I can have a better prof. He just made me want to go to every class, and even get there earlier to chat on the mezzanine. So helpful!!! I would even dare to call him a friend! I love him!!! Wish I could take all my courses with him..

Book is irrelevant & sort of dry, but honestly GO TO CLASS AND TAKE NOTES - you will not pass if you do not go to class, the book is useless. I am a big skipper, but I never missed one of Nachfolger's class! YEAH

Nachfolger breaks everything down to its most simplistic form and gives crystal clear definitions of how things are. Although he tends to be very biased, Nachfolger is an amazing teacher, very good marker and lets you know exactly what to expect. Go to his lectures you will enjoy them and learn a lot.

Exams are not not difficult and anyone who attends class should have no problem passing. Exams might seem a bit odd to more experienced students with some 'definition' type questions of colloquial terms and phrases.

Fair and balanced marker. Clear lectures. reasonable assignments. Put your hand up in his class - don't call out.

He's a very helpful prof. He sits in Starbucks for an hour before class to talk to students who have questions or give them advice for the final paper. He doesn't go into too much detail, but his lectures are still interesting with plenty of examples.

You must attend class. All the information you need to learn for exams and for your pleasure and lasting knowledge in the future is there for you if only you attend all classes. I stayed glued on my seat listening to all his lectures. Very interesting, very encouraging. Fair marking.

He has an extremely hard exterior. To this day, I'm not sure how friendly he is. He'll answer emails with 2 words. GO TO CLASS! Textbook is not needed, we were never tested on it. Easy class. I got an A which was the highest mark. There were no A+. If you study, you'll do well.

Prof. Nachfolger is great. I love going to his classes. He wont give any A's, only 1 was given out, and the majority of grades were between B+ - C+. Make sure you attend his classes as the tests are entirely off his notes. His tests are specific so make sure you study your notes well. He's a great Prof.

His explanations are very clear. He's such a funny guy that attending to his classes is a pleasure. His midterm is easy : you only have to learn by hearth (and understand as well) your notes , but for the final READ THE TEXTBOOK

So at first I was intimidated. Turned out the best poli sci professor at Concordia and it is in his class that I got the best grade, too. Term paper was the longest, 25 pages, but enjoyed writing it a lot and learned something while at it. I highly recommend him. His lectures are NEVER boring and that is because he is passionate about it.

The teacher is funny and really helpful when you need him for the project or to study for the exam. You have to learn a lot of things by heart, but if you went to class and listened it is usually not a problem. the textbook is mostly used towards the end of the semester. I DO RECOMMEND him.

Very nice and helpful professor, but this course is difficult and the book isn't helpful. Make sure to go to him and outside resources for help. The course breakdown includes a midterm, 13 page research paper, and a final.
