Great teacher. Interesting. I enjoyed the discussions in class, save for the ones that droned on due to stubborn students who use circular arguments and Stan prodding them way too long. I barely showed up to class and Stan noticed every time and would make a comment, class is easy since I just started Uni and wasn't really sure what to do, he doesn't have any tests, just 3 different essays spread throughout the semester on your own topics, show up and you'll be fine

Stan is a nice man but I didnt like him as a prof.I took phil 222(phil of culture) & was genuinely very excited about this topic but didnt end up learning much. He rambled on in class about irrelevant subjects and his lectures were very unstructured. He assigned 6 books for reading and 3 essays during the semester which is a ridiculous course load

Stan is one of my favourite profs. I had him for Ethics and Phil. Of Culture. He forces you to think and doesn't believe in spoon feeding. If you want a class to get by on autopilot, he isn't for you. If you want a class that will make you think and improve your writing skills, go for it. He will make the same jokes from one semester to the next.

A terrific course that was about things that mattered and, as Stan says, wasn't "just about how to sell pizza."

Would take again

Most inspiring teacher I had at Cap while taking Philosophy of Law. The class discussions were on point. The papers were graded for interest in writing. I loved having Stan.
