One of the best professors I have had. He teaches the material very well and keeps it interesting. If you go to class and study the book on your own along with his lectures you will do fine and on top of that actually learn a lot. Just like other accounting courses there is a lot of reading and a lot of material, so be prepared.

This is one of those professors that really likes what he does. The class is hard but he explains everything in detail. Professor Jansta's class was lifechanging. He adds value to our education by bringing real world experience to the classroom. You must read, and by read I mean thats your semester bible, read before class, and just ask questions. If you read and are on top of all the cases then you will pass. Cases and project will be a pain to complete if your group members are lazy. Read the book before class to take full advantage of the extra credit opportunities. Professor Jansta is so amazing. I would take him again 100 times. Class is tough but he makes it more relax. Exams are elaborated by the Accounting Department, but he does all possible to help. I was very satisfied with this class bc of the Prof. Stan. I felt like what I paid was not too much of a rip off. Stan is the best professor for accounting in FIU. I took him for auditing and he was willing to help outside of class time. Holds reviews on weekends with practice questions. This man helped me pass my CPA exam and was always responding to my emails even 8 months after taking his class in fact he even invites you to his office to help out for CPA.

Prof Stan is really awesome. Very helpful. Has a few jokes here and there to lighten the mood. But he is definitely knowledgeable about Accounting as he was working in the field before FIU.

Awesome teacher for ACG 4101. The best that FIU has to offer. The format is the same as all of the other classes. 3 Exams, 3 quizzes, and extra credit. He doesnt make attendance mandatory but like all ACG 4101 classes be ready to study and read alot! He is the only professor that holds reviews before each exam and teaches the important material.

I was expecting ACG2021 to be ridiculously hard but Prof. Jansta was so good at breaking things down and taking his time to make sure we understood the concepts. He genuinely cares for his students. Assignments: 1 group project, 2 exams (6 chapter each), and 2 quizzes and a homework assignment per week. He offers extra credit assignments as well!

BEST accounting professor EVER. When I took his ACG4101 was when I got to really enjoy accounting for the first time and now taking his ACG4651 helped me decide to go for audit. The way he explains everything and how much he cares for students to succeed are the things that make the difference. He somehow makes his classes fun and entertaining.

This class is part of my minor and it is definitely the toughest. He uses MyLab for hw and quizzes, posts a weekly discussion, and has one online midterm (the easy part). On the downside the final is in person and cumulative, covering 24 chapters over 1500 pages. He's awesome but the in-person final is stressful if you don't keep up all semester.

Professor Jansta has been one of the best professor's I have taken in a while at FIU. For a night time class he keeps you awake and engaged. This of course is not an easy class but if you read, attend class, and do the suggested homework you will have no problems. I think the key was to read the chapter before the lecture and it'll make it easier

Auditing is a class that you must dedicate study time to it. I recommend going to class, the professors lectures help you understand the material and get extra credit. Accounting is a not really hard class you have to always stay on top of work. There's weekly homework and quizzes . Midterm online , and Final Exam is online , or you can choose to take it in person. He gives practice questions for each chapter with the answers also make sure you study and read the book. He really cares about his students .

Do the discussions every week, they will be a very big part of your grade and they help with the chapter. No matter how many quizzes you think you can cheat, when the mid-term and final exam come, you have to have read the chapters. So read them, even though they are lengthy- they help with understanding the material.

Pretty straightforward class and content nothing difficult. The class just takes weekly commitment where there is a discussion, quiz, and homework due every Sunday, along with a midterm and a final. You won't find it unmanageable, as the content is very easy and you can easily learn what you need to learn on Pearson. The final is honorlocked!

Prof. Jansta is a great professor. This is a mid-level accounting class so youre going to get what you put into it. The class/material itself is not easy but Jansta does a pretty good job explaining the important info during lectures. The class before the exam is crucial because he will review whats on the exam and give topics to help you study

The class itself is not hard at all, except that you get both Financial and Managerial Accounting. For me one was easier to learn than the other, but nothing difficult. 2 exams, lots of hw, quizzes and discussions. He gives you enough time to get everything done. Exams are 50 questions each, but you also have 2 hours to do both.

The learning videos, homework and quizzes on Pearson are all very helpful in learning (you can redo them twice and he will drop your lowest grade). There were discussion as well. Funny guy. Class before the tests are most important since he will look through the test and tell you what to study. Accounting is already hard so knowing what to study is great. Quizzes are easy since they are just the questions from the Connect hw. Always late to post hw though; flexible with dates though.

He's a super chill guy but you better do good on tests cause this class is very test heavy. He does give you the topics of the questions on the exam so that you can review.

He is very flexible with students but his lectures are repetitive. I stopped going to class in the middle of the semester because I found it more efficient to read the ppts on my own and practice the questions from the Gleim book rather than sit in class.1 project that is very easy. Hardest class I've taken so far. The average grade was a C — very few Bs or As. There are a few projects, and the final is cumulative. If you score in the 40s or 50s on the first exam, it will be very difficult to pass. The second and final exams are brutal. He's a good professor, but you have to stay on top of everything from day one.

He's a decent lecturer, and tries to help his students by giving topic guides before quizzes/exams. Classes are just powerpoint lectures but he tries to get people involved/give examples so it's easier to understand. He does take a bit to grade, but I'd say its kinda whatever because his canvas's grading rubric isn't updated anyway.
