Freaks out on students, unclear when he lectures, goes off on totally unrelated rants about nothing. Really hard grader. I would never take him again.

I totally agree with the person before me. I would never take a class with this guy again. He seems cool and then he turns in to a jerk. Everyone leaves his class scratching there heads and then gets d's on their papers because he didn't explain things. Find another english teacher if you want to pass and understand your class.

He is the worst teacher I have ever had. you don not learn anything he just talk about his life and he is so selfish and the only thing he likes to talk are about himself and Shakespear. Whenever you ask something he take it personal and he say he never does wrong thing. In addition, if he doesn't like a student he will fail for sure.

Horrible teacher….. You could have A papers, but you would get a C for the midterm, for some reason? It’s hard to understand him, and he always talks about his life experience and how he doesn’t like women. NOT HELPFUL AT ALL. If you don’t write what he thinks in his mind, your going to fail. DON’T TAKE HIM…

WAY too strict on attendance. every essay I wrote no matter how hard I worked on it he found SOMETHING wrong with it. Way too hard of a grader and I didn't learn anything in the class. The quizzes on the book are really specific and if you don't have a great memory you're SOL. I ended up with straight A's and one C, from him. NOT RECOMMENDED!

He has a God complex. His most popular phrase that he often uses, "Whateva it tiz." And at the end of each opinion of his that he perceives to be fact, he will comment, "Is there any truth to that." After he gives you examples about what to write on his****ty topics he will end with, "I dont know what you're going to write about."

He is a very irresponsible, impatient, and lazy teacher. I did not learn anything from his class.

I want my money back. This teacher is a failed poet, a failed philosopher and a failed writer. This attitude of failure is apparent in his teaching. He takes out his past failures on his students. If you use big words or try and make your writing interesting he will fail you. He uses his class to rant about how life is a b--ch. Dont take his class!

This is my first time on this website and all i have to say is i never work so hard in a class and still fail. I did not learn anything from him all semester and he is a terrible grader. I will never take his class again.

I 've never seen such a narrow minded,Idiot and stupid person as him.The guy thinks he has conquered the English litrature world and knows every thing all,but the truth is that he is just nothing but "A trash can full of dirt"

WORST TEACHER EVER! He is extremely narrow minded, it's either his way or the highway! If he doesn't like you he will give you a C on every essay you write. This guy can't grade papers for his life, he marks up your paper with remarks that don't make sense. In class he rambles off about his boring life until he gets sick of hearing himself talk.

He kept bringing his political views and stories of his miserable pathetic life-How that could help any student write better is beyond me. He believes he has been discriminated because of his background, but he is simply a bad person who does not know how to teach English but still manages to get paid for doing it at MC: an amazing blessing indeed.

WORST teacher ever: his standards are unclear and hardly stays on topic. lectures turn into his life stories on being from some island and struggling to find work even after earning a degree (go figure) he does not have time to help you after class and is a total ****.

This professor is probably the worst professor I have ever had. I have never failed an essay before in my life until I took this course. He was SO unclear about his guidelines and contradicted everything he said. I recommend that NO ONE takes this course with this professor. Half of my class failed. Almost everyone received a F on the final essay.

Be-careful. You will not learn any thing with this guy. I had a hard time taking En102, because i didn't learn any thing with this En101 Guy. Most students from this class dropped En102 class because they did not receive the initial foundation. A word to a wise in enough. Do not waste your time and be humiliated by this professor. Not clear at all. He said attendance and participation are important but doesn't consider them for grading. He will grade you only for quizzes, essays. He will not look at the revisions of the essays at the end of the semester unless youre failing. He tells the class at the beginning of the semester to write journals but he does count it for gradi

He is not helpful at all, He's mean and puts you down. He does not teach well and is unclear. He talks off topic a lot, get ready to know about his Ex Karen. Also, when I do the corrections he ask me to do in my essays they are still not correct to him. don't even think of going to the assessment center you'll still be incorrect.

He rambles a lot in class, he tries to be funny and cracks a lot of bad jokes, and he says "how what?" a lot (if you take him you'll know what i mean). He had us use a very outdated version of MLA citation formatting, which will contrast with other courses. He spends a lot of class time rambling on before getting to the subject at hand.

This teacher needs to go back to school. I don't know how he is a teacher. He never answer students question and will get upset with you when you ask. Rambles on and jokes but then gets upset when you miss something.

I am a straight "A"s student. This is the only class I have I got D!!! I never absent, did all class assignment, and Essay,believe me do not ask him any questions he will not answer you any way...

He does not cover a lot of material, mostly just reads stories with little elaboration or teaching involved leaving me guessing as to what he was expecting in my essays. His grading style is not consistent and not fair. He is often unclear and not responsive/rude when asked questions. He gives quizzes after almost every reading.

He looses focus CONSTANTLY and repeats himself a lot. Honestly all the work was done at home, the only thing we did in class was listen to his personal stories and him rereading stories we already read. He is very unclear with what he wants in his papers, he's nice but doesn't even bother to learn your name.

Worst Professor. Shows no. compassion and is extremely rude. The feedback he gives back on paper makes nonsense and it's very hard to understand what he truly wants too see on paper. He has no patience what's so ever and gets annoyed when you ask questions.

I decided to take a chance on Prof. Niamatali despite all the bad reviews. I am an English major and do fairly well in my english classes. However, this class was a joke. He wanted the class to copy his work word for word and was unclear in his grading. He was sexist and outdated in his lectures and was hostile and antagonizing during office hours.

He is the worst and the most rude professor I had seen in my life. His only goal is to try to fail you and for that he give hard copy of half of its syllabus after the withdraw date which clarifies that"if you had received an f in any of your paper then your class grade will be F". He gets angry when you ask him question. Very irresponsible.

almost everything we read had something to do with women getting physically/emotionally abused. He is openly sexist in class and will target students. Dont even bother trying to bring up his mistakes or contacting him during office hours because he doesn't care and will treat you like a nuisance or an idiot. No room for improvement with your work.

Poor communicator and gives terrible feedback. I could not for the life of me understand what he wanted out of an essay for the first few essays in the class. It's impossible to write an essay for him that makes sense. What worked is, I wrote highly structured essays for him where the structures are more important than the point being made.

This professor is unprofessional and sexist. His class is thoughtless and will drive anyone with thoughts to insanity. He grades according to his beliefs and if you disagree with them, he'll consider them wrong and then deduct points for that. Pay attention in class and follow his awful "templates" to get a good grade; your thoughts don't matter.

Very pompous and self-indulged. If he gets cornered, expect a lecture on THE TRUTH. Kinda racyss if you ask me. His office hours are hostile and unfriendly. Also Chekhov reading and quizzes are totally unfair and minute. Lastly very hard accent.

He is the worst professor and person ever! He never listens, is unhelpful, and is only interested in finding errors so he can give you a poor grade. He has no empathy, and only his way or the high road is acceptable. I am a skilled writer, and I was forced to drop his class after receiving a D+ on an excellently written essay. Don't take his class!

The worst professor and individual! Don't enroll in his class. His teaching methods are senseless because he has some personal problems. You'll never guess what he wants, and everyone on the faculty knows he's a lousy teacher, so they advise you to take someone else.

This professor is not engaged in any potential revision of papers, he does not allow rough drafts so you can analyze and revise your essay to better yourself. He states an issue with the paper, but does not explicitly point out where the problem is. You are bombarded with essays.

This professor might have taken 10 years off of my lifespan. Those nightmare proffs from social media are him. Even if you do what he says, he will take off points for stuff he asked you to do or take an entire letter grade off for small stuff. Happy he is retiring this year!

WORST PROFESSOR EVER! Everyone honestly dreads coming to his class and he grades however he is feeling like not actually fairly. WHAT EVER YOU DO, DO NOT TAKE HIS CLASS! This has honestly been the worst english class of my life and he has been my worst professor at MC.
