Fun, witty, smart, and wears good perfume. Nothing like I expected. Very thorough and good. 3 exams, 4 assignments, fair grading. Assignment #4 is, "What grade do you deserve". Attending class, and speaking up are some of the criteria. Lowest grade gets tossed, even if it's the final exam.

GREAT PROFESSOR!!! She is super nice and interesting. She is one of my favorite. Class is not hard after you get passed the first test. Four test and four assignments make up your grade. One test is open book and one is an opinion. She is an awesome teacher and really cares about her subject.

This is the best teacher at TCC South Campus. Her class is very easy all you have to do is turn in your work and come to class, this is a fun class she makes it very interesting and you learn alot. Her test are not that hard she give reviews. TAKE THIS CLASS SHE IS VERY EASY AND SHE GIVE GOOD INFORMATION

She is a very good professor. If you do your work, go to class and ask questions if you need help (you shouldn't) you'll do awesome! I highly recommend her!

Her eloquence and professionalism are unparalleled; she has an earnest desire to see success from her students and it shows in every lecture. Her classes are rarely difficult, not because she makes it impossible to fail, but because she makes it near impossible to misunderstand. I recommend her class to anyone.

Interesting class, I took her twice and made a B both times. I hardly paid attention and didnt buy the book but i did take notes which most of her test are over. Take this class, the only way you will fail is if you dont go to class and dont take notes.

I love the way she teach she gives examples and put into terms that we know. She very concerned about how well we perform in the class and gives us extra credit when its available.

She is actually a very easy teacher her test are not hard at all but yes, you do have to study somewhat for them. she is funny and careless but dont confuse that with lazziness.

I took this class online in the 6-week summer semester, and while it is not hard, it is highly reading intensive. The PowerPoints will help some but do not have all of the material you will need for exams. If you work on the test reviews, you should do fine. This is not a blow-off class, but it isn't difficult if you read the book.

This class was very straightforward and easy to grasp the material needed for the assignments. The test are based mainly on the book. I would suggest starting on the "Assignment" soon because there are many parts to it. Most frustrating thing was that she is not very quick to post grades.

Took the class online, if you read the material (textbook and PowerPoints) there is one big assignment that requires following the instructions, and participate in the discussions. I ended up getting an A.

You have to do a seminar for this particular course- but don't fret, because it is fun and it helps you learn more about the topics, and yourself. You must review for the test, read parts of your textbook, and listen well in lectures. But she is helpful and does give extra credit options.

Great class and would do it again. Took the class online, and professor seems to understand that people who take online classes are very busy so her class has minimal homework which is nice. It is all tests and a few critical thinking discussion boards. That being said, you HAVE to read the chapters! Otherwise you will not do well on the tests!

Took this class online and it was a little challenging due to my procrastination but I did well and I think part of that is because I got a 4 on my AP Psych test, but my college doesn't accept that. She was responsive to emails and seemed very friendly. The assignments were pretty fun as well.

Very clear in class with lecture and slides. Encourages and enjoys student participation and is ever to answer questions. Makes class enjoyable and easy to learn and understand. Clear with test reviews and other material. very approachable with anything.

There are no assignments for this class just exams. She gives extra credit to the class on random days so make sure you go to class.

I bought a textbook for this class. Only looked at it twice. Her lectures are organized, just take notes and if you look over them the tests shall be easy. no homework. She is very welcoming. Class can get interesting which makes it better. she grades on a points system. ex: 500/600. lots of easy grades to be made in this class.

Best teacher by far!! She gives no homework, her tests cover exactly the info she gives on the power point, so just take notes on the PPT and study that, very informational, lectures aren't boring at all. Tests multiple choice, but bring a scantron!!

I could care less about psychology, but she kinda made it interesting. Make sure you write down everything on the power points. Pay attention and sit in the front. Don't miss class. Tests are ALWAYS 50 questions STRAIGHT FROM THE NOTES, nothing tricky. At first i didn't pay attention, but soon caught up. No homework, reading, or writing essays.

Very Straight to the point, Explains very well and you can tell she love what she does, you will have to read and go over your note frequently to pass her class, there's only 2 extra credit project that you have to enroll in the beginning, do not expect grades just handed to you , Overall great teacher very organized nice personality

She is a very good professor, just make sure to not miss anything off the powerpoints because it will be on the test. All her tests go along with the notes, so make sure to follow along. No homework or extra readings outside of class! She has a very good sense of humor.

So I took her online 4 week course and I gotta say it was the easiest course I've ever taken. There's not much work honestly and I'd recommend the extra credit but I still managed to get an easy A. A discussion board and a quiz every week for a four week course, then the final on the last week. Nothing too strenuous

Genuinely really enjoyed her class, she is very attentive when it comes to students' questions and her style of teaching is genuinely interesting. Her personal stories adds character to her lectures. Definitely would take her again! Beware however, that some of the content on the test isn't covered in class so make sure you read ahead

She is a great professor with an ability to convey class material in a way that you will understand. Great storyteller. Her lectures are done on PowerPoint, and she discusses them with the class as you take notes. The case studies she assigned are easy and interesting. Tests are timed but multiple-choice. I recommend taking her class.

This professor doesn't really communicate with students in a timely manner. The work was hard nor was it a lot but if you have a question, don't look forward to her responding before the assignment is due.

Her lectures were really interesting, and I learned a lot from her despite the class lasting only 8-weeks! I wish the class would have been a bit longer because I enjoyed it immensely! :(

She was amazing!! The class was so easy. you can write notes or not it really doesn't matter because the tests aren't proctored so you can look everything up. She often talked about her life and cool things she's done which was the most interesting part of the class. This is an easy A! p.s. she takes you on field trips.

The lectures are interesting. She is nice and very knowledgeable about psychology. The tests are long and have a lot of information. My advise is to pay attention in class and write everything that has been discussed in class. You will do short discussions posts. You will have the opportunity to go on a field trip.

Ms. Ervin, is a good teacher. I would recommend you to take notes definitely look over your notes, and be present in class and participate. I wouldn't recommend to take this class with a science course if you take this class on the same day as your science class. There will be tests and discussion boards. Be sure to study!

I personally enjoyed listening to Dr. Ervin's lectures and she made it fun to learn psychology. I will say that the tests were a little hard but paying attention in class and studying goes a long way. The discussion boards were easy as well. Loved this professor's class! I like that the textbook is free as well.

LOVED this class! As someone who struggles in school, it was super easy. I took it as a blended class with weekly assignments that took 30 minutes or less. We only had about 3 tests, all online—including the final—and they were so easy. She's engaging, really cares about her students, and makes learning enjoyable.
