Dr. Andrei is the best. 8 week course instead of a full term and mostly writing assignments. Not difficult if you put in the work. Term paper requires some research, so inadvisable to wait until the last minute to start. Only criticism is that this class is way too similar to COSC 1172. It uses the same book and has more writing assignments.

Took as a 5 week class over Summer. The group project was fun, and I felt as though I actually learned something. Although it is a ton of work to do over 5 weeks, still with it and you will pass. Dr. Andrei is great and easy to get ahold of if you have questions or run into issues. Be sure to form your groups and start your software project early.

This half semester class in a nutshell is how to write technical, create a resume, and how to find a job/reach out to employers. 2 Projects are due at the end of the semester which are relatively straightforward. Also have to take the ETS Exam, which is a completion grade. Almost impossible to fail unless you don't show up for class and do the work

Great Professor! Puts a lot of effort into making his lectures fun and interesting to listen to. Wish he was teaching 1337.

He first explained the concept and then give real life example so students can understand the topic better. He also encourage students to give answer in exchange for star. Which is a good thing. This way student learn far more better. I appreciate his commitment to student and education.

This review is my overall feedback on Dr. Andrei for course COSC 3308. I am so sad to hear that he is no longer with Lamar University. I failed 3308 the first time because I could not understand the concept of Oz programming but after taking it a second time with the guidance of Dr. Andrei I passed with a B. He is an amazing lecturer!
