Professor M is so enthusiastic about her field that it makes it easier to learn the material. It did for me, anyway. I, personally, never used the text book but you will need the lab manual. Would take her again for another subject. Really sweet & approachable.

DR M. is an extremely dedicated professor and loves teaching. It's apparent in each of her lectures. I found the course demanding but not impossible to pass/do well. She sets each of her students up for success. If the student takes the course material seriously (i.e studies and attends class) they will be successful in her class/biology.

She's a good professor but don't take this class if your not a science major or science is not your thing people really do well in her class she will help you but again if your not a science major don't waste your time.

Terrific teacher! She's great at helping students understand the material! I had her last semester and even though I was already good at Biology, she made it SO much easier! If you have trouble remembering things, you'll want to study though, but she helps by being super repetitive, playing a game of call and recall with the class.

Awesome teacher. You just have to participate and do some studying. Very helpful and clear. Grades come mainly from tests. There are a couple of lab notebooks too that are easy if you were in class. She even offers extra credit that you should take advantage of. Would take again.

I took Botany and Bio 1 with this professor. Although most of her students are science majors she teaches everything as broken down as possible, has review sheets for tests, and gives every chance to earn extra credit. She is not an "easy A" but with a little bit of time an A is easy.

Ms.SM is the most amazing professor I have had the pleasure of being a student under. She gives you everything to help you do well and if you don't study and dont take the time to do the work it is honestly on you... By far one of the best professors I've had. She taught the course in a very through manner & made sure that everyone understood. She was available to help as much as possible, beyond what was required. Her enthusiasm and expertise on the subject matter was outstanding. I would recommend this professor to anyone who needs to take a science course.

She is a great teacher! She expects you to study of course but she willing to go above and beyond to help students. The only negative things is that she can be forgetful. She gives out occasional mini quizzes just for practice, they are not graded. I hope I can take her for other classes!

AMAZING BIOLOGY TEACHER!!! Biology is a tough subject and she makes it fun. Come to class and actually STUDY and you will do fine. If you study and do what she says you will make an A and definitely learn. If you show up to the lectures she gives out TGs periodically that will be on your exams. Learned a ton from her and really ejoyed the class!!!!

I had Dr.M for Bio 1. She's helpful and will go out of her way, even 9 months pregnant, to meet with her students. She's unbiased and fair. She follows her syllabus to the letter, she even gives a week by week guide. If you try, you will succeed, if you pass blame and seek excuses don't sign up.

Professor M is the college teacher you dream of,not only being hot she is also awesome in every sense. If you are WILLING TO DO THE WORK and are actually interested then you will pass her class. She explains every and you can always ask questions and not feel like an idoit. Shes very light hearted and she also gives out extra credit on every test.

She was ok as a teacher but the material she focused on was difficult. It required a basic understanding of chemistry and subjects of the like, biology etc. I will say the review sheets for the exams were harder than the actual test which was surprising. Not really a lot of work but the work there is must be studied extensively in order to keep up!

Honestly, her class is easy if you do the work and study. I had her for Botany and the first thing she said was "This is a class for those who need a science credit", so she wasn't going to make it difficult. If you need the credit, I recommend her!

The BEST! Dr.M knows her stuff, I was nervous about taking another science so she told me that Botany(study of plants) would be best since I'm not pursuing a medical degree. She is very helpful and really cares about the success of her students. No homework, just study for the quiz/test and take notes in class! She post pp slides on each section.

Great Teacher. Review the notes after each class. Do the Bonus Questions for the test and you'll get an easy A. Post all the information you need to know on blackboard. Makes it so easy to learn.

Dr Stephanie is the best professor ever. She knows very well the material. Dr.S is very helpful, nice, and supportive. She posts a lot of study guide and quizzes (which don't count) just to prepare the students for the test. follow her instruction, study and you will get easy A. I took her for BIO2010C and I will take her for 2011C. She is awesome

Professor M has a great style of motivating students to learn! The material was very interesting to me given my major (botany) - a very sizable portion of the class was structured just around plants. I was concerned about this class in the beginning due to the hybrid format but no matter how you take this subject with prof. M youre in expert hands!

Dr. M is truly one of the best Professors that I have had while at FSCJ. She gave really good feedback on assignments and made each portion of the class fun to learn. She is very particular wformat and very detailed grading rubric but as long as you truly take the time to answer discussions and make your replies to engage the author- GOLDEN!

Dr. M is a great prof and a very nice person! I will definitelybe taking Bio II with her! She clearly knows her stuff (she has a PhD!) and her enthusiasm for the subject is contagious. I only wish the class wasn't hybrid so I could have all of the material explained by her. Lots of EC opportunities. Test are tough but just study and you'll be fine.

Biology isn't an easy subject, but she makes it easier to understand. As long as you pay attention, take notes, and go to class you'll do well in the class. She gives plenty of extra credit opportunities and there's only 4 test. Super nice, I would 100% recommend her. PLUS!! She lets you leave early almost every class. No textbook needed.

Dr. M is awesome! She is really great teacher, very knowledgeable, and very sweet person. You have to study though! Not an easy class, but as long as you are on top of the things, you'll get this. Dr. M is great her Botany class she knows is not for majors so it is easier than her biology class would be. But she is so knowledgeable!!! would totally take her again. Hands down the best teacher Ive had the pleasure of taking a course with at FSCJ. Though, Im not a Biology major, Stefanie made me consider switching. She clearly states that the Botany course is intended for non-majors. The only way to not walk out of this class with an A, means you simply did not do any of the work or show any initiative.

I loved this class it was straight to the point, and easy. She told you what was expected and was there if you had any questions. Do the labs turn, turn them in, and you get credit. We had a few discussions also. Great Teacher!!

I would hands-down take this teacher again. Assignments were very simple, but they will keep you busy. Don't worry if you bomb an assignment, because she is VERY generous with extra credit. Exams are a breeze. However, sometimes she was slow in answering emails. Don't hesitate to pick this teacher!

Prof. Maruhnich is really nice. The class was an easy A, and she always got back with me almost immediately with any questions I had. As long as you do let her know if you have a problem, you will do fine. She also offered plenty of extra credit. I took the class online and am glad I did.

Prof. Maruhnich is absolutely one of the best professors that I have had. I was concerned about taking an online science with a lab but she made it fun. She provides you with lectures that cover the test questions as well as youtube videos to help. She is quick to respond and always gives extra credit just for trying!! She is the best!!

I was hesitant to take a Biology class but am I ever glad I did. This class was so interesting and fun. The work is fairly easy. Dr. M is generous with her grading and opportunities to earn extra credit. If you do not get an A in this class, it is your own fault. Watch the "chalk talks" and take notes and the homework and tests will be a breeze.

Great professor and always available. If you watch the videos you will have no problems in this class. Also if you do have problems she will help you all the way thru. I would recommend this class to anyone.

If you cant pass this class and get at least a B then I would seriously doubt your potential in any college. Easy class and gives away extra credit for almost nothing.

The most caring and dedicated teacher I ever had. She really cares about you and really does try to help you. She loves what she does and cares about her students. There is a fair amount of work though you might not be able to cram a single day for and thats my only regret. Give yourself at least two days and you'll be great. Plently of resources.

The first few weeks was little confused at the beginning with homework and textbooks. After that, I have no problem with her. She gave us a lot of extra credits which it will help you to get a good grade. There are 3 or 4 group discussions, lot of labs from site and textbook. There is only one con is to buy cheap materials for two different labs.

Two lab exams and two lecture exams. She gives study guides that prepare you for all of the exams. There is barley any homework. It's an easy class, so I wouldn't recommend her if you want a very very good foundation of biology. She gives a lot of extra credit, but you definitely still have to study.

This online class was a a bit hard but Dr. Maruhnich was an awesome professor. She is very caring of her students & her encouragement is what helped me to do so well. She is very enthusiastic about the subject matter & gives you great feedback. Do not wait until the last minute to do your labs. You will have to be purchase lab supplies.

This Professor was by far one of the most compassionate instructors I have ever had. I had a family situation in which she took time out of her schedule to check on my family. She also allowed me to turn in late work to bring my grade back up. Loved her.

Dr. M made Bio 2 very enjoyable. She only did "lecture" for an hour to answer questions and go over material. Labs were fun and easy. No textbook require. Exams are just like the study guide. I had a 90 in the class and was exempt from the final. 100% would take her course again! She is so sweet and really explains what is expected.

I wasn't sure I would succeed in the class at first, but Dr. M is amazing. Her weekly lectures focus on answering your questions and reviewing the content. Super accessible outside of class, and checks up on you to ensure everything is OK. She's incredibly caring. Even the most unsure student will feel comfortable by the end. Impossible to fail.

Great professor, wants you to learn instead of just giving busy work. Most assignments were graded for participation rather than complete accuracy and she gives extensive feedback for assignments. Allowed for "free" labs, extra credit, and exemption from final. Textbook was free online, a few hands on labs, several written labs.

Professor Maruhnich, is very kind and understanding and she will give you extra credit for your hard work. There are labs every week and proctored exams but if you score an A you won't have to take the final exam which is awesome in my opinion. Just keep in mind that you have to work for your grade and hard work will be noticed.

Labs were in class. Lectures online. Only went to class once a week. If you come in, bust tail, and ace the midterm and lab exam you are exempt from the final and mostly everything else is a participation grade. Feedback was good but mostly late. Communication was spotty at times. Lots of extra credit opportunities. Super awesome person

Easy class

Take forever to grade thing and some of the labs are confusing. But there a lot of note taking and but overall it a easy class.

She was very kind and caring. Lectures were videos to be watched at home, In class days would consist of a review quiz (not for a grade) and labs. Labs and notes are graded on mostly completion. Exams are easy with a little studying and you are provided with study guides that cover every question.

Dr. M was a delight for my \class. She provides a free online textbook for the class, but it isn't necessarily needed. First class of the week consisted of knowledge checks and the second class was labs. Lectures were online videos. Notes and Labs were required to be photographed and uploaded into Canvas for a grade. She's helpful and easygoing!

I wish every class were this organized. I would take this class over again just for fun! its unfailable, and you're going to learn something that will make you seem smart to all your friends later on. Or if you're going into a science field, you'll have a solid understanding of the foundation of your profession!

Dr. Maruhnich is a great teacher very caring and kind. Labs almost every week. Gives extra credit for hard work on assignments. Gives good feedback. She was a slow grader. For some assignments, she gave everyone 100. Extremely hard to fail her class, if you do then you're not even trying to pass. 90% or above you are exempt from the final exam.

Dr. M was an easier grader. As long as you did the assignments, you got full credit. Very accommodating, and easy to talk to about class and assignments.

I was scared to take this class because science is not my thing but the professor was helpful and patient. Always communicate and gave extra credit for good notes and labs if pic is submitted. Make sure to order supplies so you can get them on time to do labs. Fair grading as long as the work is done. Exempted from finals if you have an A in class.

Shes amazing. Gives so much extra credit. Theres a mid term, lab exam, and final. The mid term is everything she says in the lectures, and the lab exam is literally the study guide. You only have to take the final if u get below an A. It is so easy to get above 90 because she gives so much extra credit, as long as u do the work ur set. def take.

I loved her lectures. The class was very straight forward. The exams came from her review sheets. The dissections were fun. She grades very leniently on labs and lecture notes. Gives lots of EC and is caring.

For being a fully online lab course, Dr. Maruhnich makes it very easy. You do have to spend some money for the lab materials, anywhere between $35-$80, on top of the $50 for the lab manual. If you can do that, I highly recommend taking her class, as you can tell she knows her stuff, and she is a pretty considerate grader.

This was for sure one of my favorite Professors and classes! Dr. M gives so many extra credit chances and the labs are a lot of fun. Do your assignments based off of the weekly load and your hard work will pay off in the end. She is big on feedback and very lenient with grading. I don't know how anyone can get less than an A in this class.

She is extremely easy to work with. As long as you turn everything in and give it an honest effort, you will get an A in this class. My only gripe about her is that she is a bit of a slow grader.

Prof. Maruhnich was a wonderful teacher, she was very on top of grading and always providing me with feedback on things without deducting points. She accepts late work up to a month and deducts 5 points for every week it's late. The work was a little difficult and required a lot of lab time; I would recommend taking the class in person.

Super chill professor! Notes and lab reports due daily, grading was lenient—only -5 points per week late, accepted up to a month. Three proctored exams, but you could skip the final with a high grade. Honest effort was enough to succeed, and the class wasn't too difficult overall.

Dr. M is wonderful! She wants her students to succeed and gives extra opportunities to help us finish with strong grades and a solid understanding of the material. The best way to contact her is by email (response times vary). She also exempted students with a 90% or higher in the class before the final from the final exam, which was very nice.
