Dr. Woditshka has very good intentions and is very interested in what he teaches, although he is not very good at explaining. His tests are not like the practice tests and in class he talks way faster than you can write down. I would suggest printing off the notes beforehand, but even then it can still get confusing. He drops lowest Test grade!

Dr. Woditschka (how it's actually spelled) is a fantastic professor. He really knows his stuff when it comes to bio and has a real passion for it too. Dr. Woditschka was an incredible professor. He makes his powerpoints as interesting as they can possibly be and class isn't so much of a chore to attend. He is not only a great professor but a great person as well. While he expects you to try your best to do good in the class, he is also considerate of his students' time and needs.

He does a thing he calls "mini test" which is suppose to keep you up to date with the readings but in reality its just his way of being able to test you on every little detail. Because they are "smaller" they are also more frequent, like every 2nd-3rd class. Unless you plan to make it the center of your semester do NOT take!

Dr. Woditschka loves what he teaches, although I think sometimes he gets too excited because he talks way to fast. The best way to get anything out of lecture is look at the power point the night before/ take notes that way you just add on in class so that you can pay more attention. The course was well structure. Each assignment was applicable and relevant to the overarching learning objectives. The exams were challenging and balanced in that they required a firm grasp of the core concepts while still encouraging, soliciting, and outright requiring a more thorough and analytical interpretation of those very same concepts.

Awesome professor, super passionate about teaching. His lectures are clear, and he takes the time to answer questions. If you miss a class, every lecture is recorded online. The exams are based on the slides and textbook, and if you do the study guides, you'll be fine! If you start failing, just ask for his help: he really cares about his class.

Definitely one of the best professors at UNCW. He wants you to succeed. You can tell he's very intelligent and passionate about the subject and his work. Tests are clearly from lectures and he does give packets to prepare you for exams. Study the big points and attend his breakdowns the day before exams, you'll do good. Sets you up for success (A).

Sometimes I would break down in tears over his exams while in the library and in the dorm. They were ROUGH, and worded to confuse you. Bio is so heavily exam-graded and it is horrible for bad test takers. Like when I tell you I'll walk back to my dorm blasting sad lana del rey knowing I just failed the last exam.

My professor is out, Woditschka stepped in to guest lecture. His teaching style is helpful, engaging and beneficial, impressed me in a short amount of time. My professor reads off slides with minimal crowd engagement. He actually teaches material, explains difficult concepts, and allows for questions. If I could go back I would take him instead.

He was an amazing professor! the class was homework heavy and at first felt like it would be too much, but it really prepares you for the exams. The SI instructor jasmine is also amazing and has helped a lot. He really cares about his students and compared to any other BIO201 class professors that I have heard about, he's by far the best! Love him!

He substituted for my class, and it is the only unit this entire semester I did well on, and actually feel like I understood. His teaching style was engaging, and he is not only smart but also a true teacher. I wish I would have had him all semester !

He is my favorite professor so far at UNCW even though this is not my field. He has high expectations for his students but is supportive and gives opportunities for help. He expects you to work outside of class but his lectures always add to my understanding of the concepts and his labs are engaging. Participation in class and labs is important.

Dr. Woditschka is the BEST biology professor at UNCW. I have his class at 8 AM, which yes, sucks, but he makes it better. He explains course material so well and is always available in office hours and will work with you to make sure you understand material. He posts videos, lecture slides, and other stuff to help.

Dr. Woditschka is 100% the best professor I have had at UNCW. He is so passionate about what he teaches and dedicated to his students' success. More than being a great professor, he is also such a nice guy. Yes, his tests are hard. But if you put in the effort with your study guides and GO TO SI, it will make the tests easier.

Dr. Woditschka is an AWESOME professor. I had honors, so expectations were a bit different. This class isn't easy, but all instructions are super clear. He provides a ton of resources and really wants students to be successful. He's willing to connect you with other professors for potential mentorships too, so he cares about your passions as well.

Dr. Woditschka is a very knowledgable and respectful professor. He has a lot of general knowledge in biology, and probably his best skill is explaining material and concepts. If you take HON BIO 201, prepare to learn a lot and do a lot - but also have a great time doing so.

I absolutely LOVED his class! He is truly such a great professor, and so sweet towards his students. His class is challenging, but BIO201 in general can be challenging for most students. There is a lot of work you must do to be successful, but its designed to help you grow (and you will!). He is ALWAYS ready to help his students. TAKE HIM FOR BIO!!
