explains the proofs and doesnt just tell you that it is what it is. Explains why it is that way. Tests are moderate, do the practice exams and homework and you'll do great. 2nd time taking Pre-Calc and I learned more than I did the semester before. Really nice lady!

Logan is an awesome teacher. She actually goes over stuff so you understand it. She always has time to work with you if you're not getting something. Tests are not that hard if you study. The Final is harder than the tests, but not bad if you study hard. I'd recommend her to anyone.

Miss Logan was the best math teacher i have ever had

She is a great teacher, and she explains things very clearly. If you dont understand anything she will clarify it. She made this class really easy,and gives you notes that you work out in class with her showing you each step. The final is a little harder cause its from the last couple of chapters. I got a very high A in this class easily.

I did no homework and got A's on every test. She doesn't rush things, but gets everything done anyway. Love her!

I was worried at first because her class was televised from the Hanford campus but she is so clear and great at what she does that I was never lost. After that she pass out worksheets and h.w.You have a final and midterm that's it and if you study the study guided she gives you'll be prepared. Stephanie is super helpful and laid-back. She explains everything very clearly, and she never moves too slowly either. She is also very accessible outside of class if you need help. You don't need the textbook, you can use My Math Lab to access it for the textbook homework.

I've had her twice now, once for MATH 21 and now for Math 154. She is by far the best math teacher I have ever had. Her notes are incredibly well thought out and she is very understandable. Absolutely AMAZING professor! Had taken Math 230 twice and failed both times, then took it with her and passed with a B. Next semester I took her Stats class and passed with an A. She makes sure you understand each step before moving on which is perfect for those who are terrible at math like me! I wish she taught every subject!!

This was my first year at cos and the first time taking math 21. I felt it was the easiest math class I have ever taken. She is very clear in teaching, and makes sure everyone understands the material. The only hard part of the class was remembering how to do the steps on a problem and the steps on a problem while using statcrunch.

First semester back from a LONG break from school and I was worried about being able to keep up, but Mrs. Collier was more than clear and thorough with her lectures! Super easy to follow along. Also the tests are very reasonable and fair, offers extra credit and partial points. Definitely recommend her for Trig.

I never thought I would enjoy a math class! I am awful at math and she made stats so understandable and relatable! She really loves her job and it shows by how much she puts into the students. The only big project was at the end and it wasn't even that hard. Easy class if you just show up and pay attention! Would DEFINITELY take or recommend her!

Collier is a very caring and lovely woman. Took this class for Summer School and managed to fit it all in 4 weeks! Used mymath lab and it is quite a load! Worth a lot of points!! I really enjoyed her class and found her explanations very understandable. She always prepares you well for the homework you will be doing. Her notes are well organized and thought out, and her handwriting is good. If you need help outside the class she is usually available, and always responds to emails. Plus she allows food in the classroom!

Stephanie gives such clear lectures and she really helps you understand the problems before moving on. I took this class in the summer, which is a lot at one time, and ended up passing with a 98. Shes super funny and such a chill teacher. She gives you 5 questions for homework every two days or so. Such an easy way to earn points. Her tests are straight forward and her lectures make it easy to know whats on the test. She does give homework packets leading up to the test so if u dont like that I wouldnt take her course.

It's important to be there for lectures otherwise, it falls on you to get the notes from a classmate. There are a few things in MyStatLab that she doesn't cover or is worded differently, but she is more than willing to help you if you ask. For tests, she grades each step rather that docking points on a whole problem for one small mistake.

Make sure to memorize the formulas you will get quizzed on them and some will add up to extra credit which in the end really helps your grade. Hard to find anything negative to say, I guess I wish she didn't miss class so often so we had more time to learn .

Very kind and always stays at least 10-15 mins after class to answer questions and clear confusion. Additionally, she is very flexible with testing and gives extra time if needed.

Mrs. Collier is an AMAZING teacher! I am a visual learner, and math isn't really my forte. This class really helped me prepare for Precalculus. Going to the math lab to do homework is helpful to understand certain homework problems. Study with classmates if you can. Definitely do your homework, it really helps.

Took her four week summer course online with support. She is the absolute best math professor out there, always made sure that we knew the material. If you can take her you will not be disappointed. I took Mrs. Colliers online course with support for summer. Her lectures are always helpful and she makes sure to explain things through so you can understand it easier. There is a stat project, but it is easy. My only advice is that if you have a question or need help, ask! Because she wants you to pass just as much as you do! :)

I took Stats in the summer and it was a four week class. Im horrible at Math but I got a B. Do all the homework, worksheets, midterm and final and you should be fine. Watch all the videos if it is just an online class, they really help. Easy grader. Make sure you know when assignments are due.

Professor Collier's way of teaching is much easier to understand statistics only hard part is the online homework and final portion because they word it differently. I absolutely loved this class. Ive taken stats twice at cos and did not remember a thing from the first time so I assumed I was going to struggle but its the complete opposite. The lecture videos were so easy to go off of that I never struggled on an assignment or test. Just make sure you actually do the work which is not much anyways

She was amazing. Her stats class was so easy and for the first time ever I enjoyed math. I loved her class . I took her class online during summer and I wasn't confused on the homework because she explained it so well during her videos. She gives a study guide notes that really helped for doing homework and studying for tests.

This class was pretty easy. I loved how she gave us all the work at the beginning of the semester so we did it on our own time, before the due date of course. If you watch the videos you'll understand everything and pass the midterm and final exam. There are no quizzes, just worksheets and online homework, weekly participation assignments are easy.

Collier is one of the only math teachers that I actually understand. Ive always struggled with math but her lectures are so clear and easy to understand . My only complaint is that she has you submit everything through email instead of canvas but I got used to it quick. You need to use mystatlab for all of the assignments and it is expensive.

I took Stats with Mrs. Collier a few semesters ago before everything went online, and if you can manage to get a slot in her Stats with Support class- DO IT. She is so good at breaking things down so it's easier to understand. I've never been a math person but got through this class with no problem, and Stephanie is such a funny professor!

Professor collier has a unique way of teaching. We watched video lectures at home and homework packets and online homework were done in person. So having covid, being sick, or not coming to class is no excuse for not doing the work. She does a great job at explaining. No late works accepted, no make up test, no extra credit.

I've always hated math and have taken stats twice before, but Mrs. C made understanding stats VERY easy. The lectures are online and she provides you with the note templates you'll need to ace the final and midterm. You can tell she cares based on the participation questions she asks each week, she's a wonderful dog-loving lady. 100% recommend

I took this class in Fall 2021 and I have to say that I never liked math, but professor Collier made it so much better she relieved a lot of the anxiety I had from prior classes and made the material clear to all of the students. I would have gotten an A if all of my stuff wasn't stolen. Overall, amazing class.

This is the best math class I have taken! I can honestly say I suck at math but Collier's class made it understandable! The weekly assignments consist of mainly online homework and worksheets. She teaches her lectures through videos and it's helpful cause you can rewind the videos and go back if you forget. Keep your notes it helps with the final!

Very good calculus professor, I had gotten out of calc 1 and hated it, she single handedly made me enjoy calculus which is saying alot because calc 2 is hell. She posts the lecture notes online and they are clear and very great to learn from if you miss class or just need a refresher. Homework is manageable. Overall great professor will take again!
