One of the best teachers I've ever had. She is extremely good at relating material to every day life. She sucks you into the world of psychology with such grace and exuberance that you will never want to ditch class. Love her!

I think Dr. Hayes is a wonderful professor. She really keeps the class interesting. She does talk fast but she is a very smart woman. I really enjoy her class a lot. I would definitely recommend her as a professor.

Dr. Hayes is a really good professor becuase she relates to all the students so well. Make sure you and your class talk to her, She hates a quiet class,but don't get on her nerves or she'll emberess the crap out of you. If she talks too fast,just tell her and she'll slow down. She's a New Yorker.

She's really funny and loves it when people speak up and share. Stay interested and attentive (and for goodness sakes attend class!) and you'll do fine. She's very willing to help and give extra credit as well. I reccomend her to un-shy people.

She is one of the best professors i've ever had. If you take her classes you better not be shy because she does a good job of making sure every single person stays involved. There's work to be done in her classes but i've never felt rushed. I've also never laughed so much in a class before. I highly recommend Dr. Hayes.

Wonderful teacher. I had her for Intro to Psy and also Social Psy. She is fun and energetic. But God forbid you talk while she's taking role or she'll make you come up front and sing to the class!

Dr. Hayes incorporates real life events with psychology she is also very into group and class participation. Tests are easy she rights key review areas on board during theclass before test.

I took Professor Hayes on a intersession. I must say she expects you to learn, but she is more then willing to help you. She tempers her lecture with real life examples. I enjoyed her class alot.

She is a graea teacher. I try to take her classes even if i don't need them.

I really like Hayes, but she spits out notes so fast it gets a little intimidating. She is a sweet-heart and wants her students to succeed you just let her know. I recommend her.

I loved every second of this class. Dr. Hayes is lively and interesting and has tons of stories to tell. She goes quickly, but is always interested in her students' success and will make an effort to help if ever she can. I would take any of her classes, whether I need them or not.

She made the class interesting but she expects you to take notes like you know shorthand. She likes to get group sessions going about a particular subject and likes debating. She definitely wants a quiet classroom while taking role. It's not pretty if your cell phone happens to ring while class is going on. A lot of group projects too.

Dr. Hayes has a tendency to go a little fast, so reading chapters beforehand is very important. If you take notes, you will get an A. Turn your cell phone off! Other than that, I look forward to having her next semester for psych 2403.

Good teacher. Be prepared to take notes very quickly. Lots of extra credit chances. Sometimes will assign large group projects/test. Very wise and has a lot of insight to offer. Class is worth your money.

This was my 2nd semester taking Dr. Hayes and enjoyed it as much as last time, although the content is a bit boring. Pretty easy as long as you can keep up with the notes in her lectures. Tape recorder suggested if you are a slower writer.

this is a class you would love to come to. she's really funny i look forward going to her class every time. her test are kind of hard but shes easy to talk to and very funny and nice. she loves group discussion.

She's willing 2 help you if you sincerely want 2 learn & want help. This is not a hard class. She makes it fun- basically everyday is some sort of stand up comedy & she's always giving extra credit & great reviews 4 the slackers who need it and still complain about her on here. If you can't understand her than you need to GROW UP & OPEN YOUR EYES!!

Dr. Hayes is great and very clear-cut on her lectures. Anybody who comments on her so-called "political" views must not have had the same Hayes I did. She NEVER discusses politics and certainly doesn't play favorites. Any how, Doc Hayes cares for every one of her students and gives great advice in her lectures on the materials at hand.

She's an animated, energetic, fast talker.Use of tape recorder recommended. If you read the text and study the study handout you will do good. She loves groups and gives group assignments and allows some tests to be taken as a group. This class is not hard as long as you pay attention and participate. Also, she gives tons of extra credit.

Wonderful teacher. She really seems to care about her students and gives many extra credit opportunities. It's important to do the group project for her intro to psych class, but it's not too hard. Her lectures were easy to follow and went with the test material.

She is a fantastic instructor!!!! She has a very lively personality and she makes the lectures very interesting. Very easy class if you study a little each day and keep up with the notes. I would highly recommend her. Haha,just don't let your phone go off in class because she'll answer it..and not in a nice way. ;)

Prof. Hayes sure does change her mind ALOT. BE PREPARED FOR THIS. IF you study, attend class(lots of in class points, remain flexible and patient, you should do fine.Her personality can be unnerving, but the woman's mind is SHARP and your'e there to learn not make lifelong friend in a Professor.

great teacher just do as you are told and don't bring your phone to class unless you want her to answer it. lol

You will need to actually read the entire textbook. Her test reviews are not all that clear. Nice lady, though. Interesting to talk to.

fantastic professor. She made psychology extremely interesting. absolutely hilarious, attendance mandatory. notes are important and you must read the chapters for test. there was never anything on the test that she hadn't gone over. strongly recomend for any psych class.

Dr. Hayes was very insightful with her knowledge of Psychology. She has had real life experiences that she adds to her class that makes the subject real and very interesting. Although she does not take any crap from anyone and takes her teaching seriously and want you to succeed in her class. Dr. Hayes ROCKS!!!!

Professor Hayes is a GREAT professor. She was fair, witty, and she knows her stuff. Anything said about her to the contrary is a crock. I took her for fast track Saturdays. I HIGHLY recommend her.

Barely use textbook, her tests are easy. She grades on attendance to. Her final project is easy 2 tests are group tests, just DO NOT ask her for help. She has no interest, but she is a PhD. My experience at OCCC PhD's do expect you to do it on your own. One of the best professors I have ever had at OCCC!

Loved this class! She went over everything that was on our tests, which 2 of them were group tests. She gave everyone A's on their presentations and didn't assign hardly any homework throughout the whole semester. She gives you plenty of opportunities to get extra credit. Attendance is a must. Awesome professor! Really enjoyed this class!

Hayes has to be one of my favorite professors. She reminded me why I love psychology. I would reccomend her over anyone else.

She was very helpful and very entertaining, she is an ex police officer so she can be tough but overall she is a great teacher and I still keep in touch.

I will say, if you're looking for an easy A, do not enroll with Prof. Hayes. She does her job and actually goes in to depth during lecture and discussion which will help you during exams. She is very helpful and invites anyone who wants to discuss anything to her office. I though she was extremely helpful and I enjoyed her class.

Oh my! I LOVED having Dr. Hayes as my Psych professor! I truly enjoyed her instruction, her attitude, humor, perspective, and how she will make sure that everyone in her class reaches the same level of understanding! Do what is expected out of you and you will be fine! I highly recommend her as a professor!

She is one wacky teacher! Cracks me up all the time! I think she's strict in regards to learning and she's a great teacher. If you're the type of student who does things the hard way and willing to learn, she's your professor.

Professor Hayes is an Amazing Professor! I was always excited to go to class, is fair on time and work, and she gives out alot of extra credit. She's there anytime you need her and gives excellent notes. Gives great examples and is HIGH RECOMMENDATION for intro to psychology.

Dr. Hayes is one of my favorite teachers at OCCC. I liked intro to psych so much, I also took developmental psych with her. HER CLASS IS NOT AN EASY A. However, if you went to class, she provided lots of extra credit points. Lectures were enjoyable. All quizzes were on Connect and tests were managable if you studied.

Professor Stephanie Hayes is one of the best professors I've ever had. She keeps my interest in her lectures with her stories about life and how psychology relates to us everyday. She gives you a 2nd attempt to take exams in the test center. She is an awesome professor and I would take her class or any other class she teaches again.

goodness the amount of amazing things I could say about Professor Hayes.... first off she is HILARIOUS. seriously she could be a stand up comedian. Amazing class! Loved her from the first day. She is a wonderful speaker and makes her classes incredibly entertaining and easy to learn. There is online work that needs to be done and as long as you keep on top of that there is no reason to not make an A in her class.

She is a great teacher to take for PSYCH1113. She does a great job explaining her notes, goes over all the needed material, and is a pretty interesting person. The only homework was doing the questions and small quizzes from the online textbook, and a final project due the last week that we present. If you keep up with the due dates you'll pass.

Professor Hayes was super funny and cool. She lets us take two test and two quizzes and would take the higher score. She honestly cares about your grade and you succeeding. Also offers a lot of extra credit over the semester. I would definitely recommend her to everyone.

Connect was useful it actually had the textbook that I used for quizzes and preparing for test. Good thing all the test were multiple choice and was guided by our sheet with all of the important topics which we could define (it was optional)

Professor Hayes is as patient as she is intelligent. She truly cares about her students, and goes out of her way to ensure their success. Her lectures are both in-depth and engaging. She is the kind of professor that makes you wish your course was longer.

Prof. Hayes is HILARIOUS and an amazing professor. If you do the online homework and quizzes and study for the test you will make an A. She gives you 2 opportunities to take every test in testing center (form A and B) and takes the highest grade. Homework and quizzes are for a grade so do them! You can get up to 40points of extra credit. Participate in class and she will like you more! She is an amazing professor. Her class is all about lectures so take notes or print off the slides she puts on moodle. My favorite professor by far!!

Professor Hayes is an amazing teacher. If you can take her class, DO IT!!! She gives an ample amount of opportunity to receive extra credit. Go to class! Her lectures are good and she gives great examples to make sure you understand the concepts! There is homework and a quiz for each chapter, and an exam for each module. 5 exams and a presentation

She is a Great teacher with may hilarious additions to her lectures. She gives plenty of extra credit. The test are hard but not if you study.

A great professor to say the least. She genuinely cares about her students' success. You get two tries on exams and she gives the opportunity of 40 extra credit points (get them early on in the semester). This course was not all that hard (imo at least).

Took this class online for the 8 week course during COVID. Prof. Hayes was pretty amazing. She is very available outside of class, including answering emails or even taking calls/texts. She doesn't overload you with homework (1 hw, 1 quiz for each chapter and then a unit test). All assignments and test are through Connect.

Professor Hayes was truly amazing! i took her General Psych class online and passed. She truly cares for students and is very understand. She is always open to helping students understand. Fast replies to emails and emailed the class every week just to encourage student to make sure everyone was okay. Smartbook homework takes a while

She made me want to pursue a degree in Psychology because of how amazing she is. I took her half in person and then had to transition halfway through due to corona. Take it from someone who had a 75% after the transition (because it was very stressful and I don't do well online) and I still finished with a 98% because of extra credit opportunities.

LOVED Professor Hayes!!! Her class was easy only if you kept up with the assignments that are due. She gives you enough time to complete the assignments and is very understandable. I had an A all throughout the 8 week course because I stayed on track. Take this class!!
