She is the best Biology teacher I've ever had. Yes, you have to read the book & study, but it's college. She talks about the concepts of every test question in class, and every answer can be found on her power points. She makes her test questions easy too. She takes quizzesattendance every day which means you need to go to class, but I recommend.

SO BORING. This class isn't hard, but it will kill you with boredom. Good news though, there is so much cushion in the grades with online assignments, extra credit, clicker, and lab that I was able to make a 70% on all of the tests and still make a B. She always schedules review sessions in the middle of the day, so that isn't helpful either.

I had Dr. Madison for Bio 160 and Bio 240 and really enjoyed her both times. Although her powerpoints are not detailed, the info she gives during lecture is helpful for learning objectives. I also found reading the book to be very helpful. The tests are straightforward if you fill out the learning objectives. Also recommend going to office hours.

This class was absolutely terrible. I, aswell as others, struggled to keep up with what she didnt tell us would be on exams. Her and the TA are not willing to reply to any sort of contact, be it by email, phone call, or canvas. Gives no study guide or any real basis on what is expected for exams. She really expects a lot out of you as a student. If you don't apply yourself to learning the material, you won't do well. She shows no mercy on exams, study hard or you will fail. Not very easily accessible, and was not very understanding about Covid this semester. Bottom line, only take her class if you're willing to put the work and time in.
