Excellent professor! The class is hard but she taught really well. She gives plenty of opportunities for help and to improve. The class won't be a cakewalk but if you study and come to class you can pass.

I had taken this course twice before with 2 different instructors and could not pass the final but with Prof Melzer's teaching methods and how much she geuninely cares for her students I was able to pass the class & final! She is an excellent professor. She explains math in a way that makes sense. I finally understand factoring now. At the end of the semester she reviews and drills a lot to prepare you for the final exam. This was my second time taking the class and I was finally able to pass thanks to her taking the time to review and answer all my questions.

This is the BEST math professor that you will ever find! She is extremely helpful and wants to make sure that you understand the material. She will go over all the homework with you and answer any questions. Her ONLY downside is that she tends to go through the material a little quickly but she will slow right down when you ask. The class is dry if you don't enjoy math. She is a really good professor and if you don't get an A in her class you obviously are lazy. She cares about her students passing and does her math step by step so you don't miss a beat. Great professor if you struggle with math.

If you don't turn in hwk, she gives you more days to do it. Not only that we have no midterm and finals are only 30 questions. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

Explanations of course material were crystal clear, any upcoming assignments or exams were constantly displayed (even emailed) to the student, homework assignments were gone over for a better understanding of the material, and study-guides keep students well prepared for each exam. She even gives treats for classes that do well on exams!

Let me tell you, I am HORRIBLE HORRIBLE at math. This professor will BREAK IT DOWN for you when she is doing the lesson. Step by step. Her study guides are a replica of the test. Everything in the study guide is the same except she changes the numbers. I got a 96 A on my first test. She is super sweet and giggly. TAKE HER CLASS IF YOU SUCK AT MATH.

Ms. Melzer is fantastic at explaining and walking students through algebraic problems. It is clear that she loves what she does. There is no rush in her course, so if the class needs an extra day on something she is more than willing to take the opportunity to further her explanation. Tests are incredibly similar to the study guides.

Awesome professor. Math doesn't come easy to me, but Professor Kokaisel knows how to explain the lessons effectively. I never leave the class wondering what it was that I just learned. There are 3 tests in the course and the hw is on mymathlab. I would sign up for any of her other classes in a heartbeat. I recommend you do the same!

You don't need the txtbk since she hands out note packets. the weekly hws aren't that bad and there are only 3 tests including the final. If you're not that great at math, you will be after you take her class.

Professor Melzer is a beautiful person. I really enjoyed being her student. She gives one homework assignment each week and there are only 4 tests throughout the semester. She's very accessible outside of class and is willing to work with all students, no matter what they need. Do yourself a favor and TAKE HER. You won't regret it!

She lets students use a little cheat sheet of formulas for all her exams ( 4 exams ) and grades in pieces, even if you don't get the answer right you get points if the formula or steps are done correctly! No pop quizzes and there is lots of extra credit! Homework every week. Would definitely take her again.

The teacher isn't a bad teacher, but this College Mathmatics class is one of the hardest math classes you can take. I'm depressed, and I'm struggling to catch up. The Pearson math lap is $121, and it's a b*llshxt program. Very frustrating. Good teacher, hard work.

Amazing Professor, very easy with homework and quizzes (both online, have until every sunday to turn in) she is very leniant and understanding, simply ask for an extension to your hw or quiz and she'll give it to you. Tests make up most your grade (60%), but that is not a problem since the course is so easy. Would take this over MAC1105 any day if your major does not require it. Professor is also extremely nice and caring. Finished entire course in 2 wks.
