She is very helpful and provides a lot of extra credit opportunities, Her tests are very similar to her review packets and are easy if you understand the material. I advise you to take her if you want an A and actually learning something.
Stephanie is an AMAZING professor. She really loves accounting and it shows. She gives a lot of opportunities for extra credit and she is very helpful. Attendance isn't mandatory but you will want to attend to get a good understanding of the material. Her lectures were from powerpoints that she provides so you don't really need the book.
Great teacher. Loves accounting and it shows. Gives a lot of extra credit and has study sessions o the weekend before tests. Really wants students to learn.
Great teacher. She is extremely helpful and gives lots of homework to help get concepts. A lot of chances to get extra credit. Really shows that she loves accounting and teaching.
Truly wonderful and caring professor. She really wants to help students succeed in Acct. I bought the book so it would help me, but i also used her powerpoints. Material is a little tough but it is accounting so its what is expected Skipping class doesnt penalize but its helpful to attend. Do Connect HW study for the tests and practice calculations
She was great!!! the connect work was fairly easy as well as the in class quizzes and tests. She works with her students after class and even hold study sessions if a large percentage of students agree to attend.
Great Teacher takes personal time to hold a review session before every test (including final). I would say go to class and do the homework and you should get an A. I enjoyed her and hope to take her again in some of the higher level courses.
Love her! Had to take this class twice, and she made learning accounting so clear! Possibly the most helpful teacher I have had at KSU.
Not a bad class at all. Mrs. Miller does a great job at explaining the material. Tests were not too bad if you study the notes and do the homework and practice questions. Come to class!! Overall Great prof! TAKE HER!!
she was a pretty cool teacher. she explains the material quite well and gives many examples that are relate-able. the online portion was helpful as well and if you got stuck she would help you out if you asked take her if you can
Great teacher! Take her! She teaches the information very well and will answer any question you have. She will do some homework questions in class to help you understand. Responds to emails quickly and will meet with you outside of class, teaches from powerpoints. Online homework can be a little painful but do it. Final replaces lowest test grade.
Acct 8000 with Prof Miller was a great experience. The material was presented in a straight forward manner with several real world examples. Grading was very fair and she was flexible with it when necessary. Comes with a good bit of real world experience, which is invaluable (and rare at KSU)in business classes. Overall, an excellent professor.
Best Accounting prof. Please take her. Go to class, do the work, and you will get an A. Such a nice lady, reasonable, understanding. Goes the extra mile with late night class cram sessions and reviews. Organized. Thorough. PLEASE TAKE HER.
I don't have any major compliments or criticisms. While the tests are moderately difficult, the questions are representative of the class material. She is a little boring and she uses the entire class 2:45 class period. You do need the most current version of the book.
Very helpful, however he test can be very tricky. Try to go to class she reviews everything with you that you need to know. I would suggest taking her
Mrs. Miller is great! She is really helpful and always available to help after class. She also does review sessions on the weekends before test. We went to a Beer Brewery for extra credit and had a great time! I struggled in the class but got a B!
Professor Miller is Awesome !! She is enthusiastic and passionate about accounting. You dont need the book since everything you need is in the PowerPoints. You do need an access code to do the hmwrk online and the assignments have due dates. She's very helpful and give lots of extra credit.
Professor Miller is Awesome! She definitely has a passion for accounting. She is very detailed and wants to ensure everyone understands the material. As long as you put the effort in, the results will show. I highly recommend her!
Very awesome professor! I would take her all over!
Unorganized when it comes to keeping up with grades. Gives tons of extra credit but doesn't really keep up with it in the grade book. Definitely recommend her if you're a morning person.
Professor Miller is so great! She conveys a difficult course in an easy to understand way! She genuinely wants you to do as well as you can and helps whenever she can. Best professor I've had at KSU, I'm taking her again this semester!
Very good professor overall, loved her. Go to class and do extra credit and you will easily get a B
One of the Most Professional Accounting Professors in the Field! She goes the extra mile to help all students, as long as you go the extra mile to reach out and seek the help you need! Shes not a mind reader and she understands we all have things going on in life! She is one of the kindest souls i've ever come across!
Accounting was tough for me, but she taught it well. Class material is hard, but she constantly goes over examples and gives plenty of easy extra credit. Connect hw every week, 6 quizzes, 3 tests. The only thing I didn't like was having to take 30-question tests in 50 minutes. With her, you'll be prepared. Wish all teachers were this thorough.
Seriously Professor Miller is probably one of the best teachers in the business school. She gives you 2 tests and a final. The tests are identical to the quizzes on connect and she gives you plenty of opportunity to learn the material. Not to mention she will help you with any problem you may have at any point in the semester. Definitely take her.
Stephanie Miller is amazingggg! She is such a sweet professor and really wants her students to succeed. She offers bonus assignments throughout the semester and holds study groups before exams! Definitely take her, you will not regret it!
Professor Miller is AMAZING. She makes a class that you think you'd hate, interesting. She's lighthearted and really wants you to understand the material before moving forward. Loved going to her class. If you read the chapter ahead of time, you will find her lectures even easier and more clear! TAKE HER!
She was great in 2100 and 2200 not so much for this class :(
She was great in 2100 and 2200 not so much for this class :( but then again this class is hard as anything.
This class was hard. Dont know if it was her or just the class in general.
Holy cow this class was hard, shes not as bad as Mary Hill but still dang. I had to bust my back side to get a B in this class. Usually an A student.
Expect to read and go to class. If you don't you will not get a good grade at all. THIS CLASS IS HARD!!! DO NOT TAKE OVER THE SUMMER!!! BIG MISTAKE! TAKE OVER A REGULAR SEMESTER!
Man this class is though. Shes better than most professors but still. Had her before, but do not underestimate this class or you will fail. I got a B and had to bust my rear end for it!
Man this class was though. She was really good in the 2000 lvl classes but this class is just really hard. Study a lot, read the text book and do all the examples or you will not pass this class. Also go to class, best way to pass right there.
Practice tests are similar to real tests, which is helpful. 2 tests + 1 final, online HW which is easy, lots of in-class bonus and extra credit from attendance. Tests are somewhat easy, do practice tests multiple times, read PPT slides she discusses, and take your time. You can skip a lot too and get a B or A as long as you're prepared for tests.
3300 is a tough class. Took it during a four week session and there was not enough time to do the project and get through the course work. Professor was nice and helpful but this isn't a class that should be offered during for that short a period. I found Professor Miller to be very willing to help but confusing in lectures.
I skipped every class, just did the practice test. made an A on every test but the final because all i needed was an 75 for an A. TAKE HER, best 2100 and 2200 Professor. Also I heard she is good in
I cannot stress how important Prof. Miller was to my college career. I've always been a decent student, but horrible at accounting, and her lectures helped simplify the topics to a level where even I grasp it. The topic is hard for most, but she does everything in her power to help you through it.
Mrs Miller is one of my favorite professors ever. Didn't have a passion for Accounting until Ive met her. She always there for her students and is willing to help you understand the knowledge in the course. Love herrrrrrrrdr
Professor Miller was one of my favorite professors that I've ever had. Her grading scale makes it easy to pass. She genuinely cares about your success. She is there for you and is very clear on the material. She's really nice, gives lots of review sessions, and the whole semester runs smoothly without a glitch in her class if you just try.
TAKE HER ! Probably one of the best professor at KSU. She actually made me like accounting. Just do the homework, quizzes & online review for her tests (3) & you can pass with a B or higher easily!
Provides plenty of opportunities to improve grades and is caring about the success of students. Makes sure students understand where they went wrong and how to be right the next time.
great
Great teacher. I made the mistake of missing some of her lectures, not due to grading repercussions, but simply because she is a smart and interesting teacher. Gives one extra credit opportunity to visit a brewery that coincides with the class material.
Second time I have had her, same results in 2200 that I had in 2100. Great professor that really knows what she is talking about and cares about the success of the students. Show up, practice, and it is easy.
TAKE HER! #1 CHOICE! She makes sure you understand everything i made i took her for 2100 and 2200. by far the easiest accounting professor. tons of extra credit. Alot of hw but they're not bad at all. attendance not mandatory but go to class, it'll help you understand so much better than trying to learn on your own. trust me. take her
I've never had a prof more committed to helping her students actually learn and do well in her class. Super understanding, funny, and willing to help. Material isn't difficult if you show up to class every day and pay attention, and the textbooks are required - you will use them a lot. Wish I had taken more classes with her!
Definitely take Professor Miller!! She is extremely helpful and cares about her students. The class is interesting and useful for a career in accounting. Some of the material can get system-heavy, but she tries to make it as clear as possible and provides a ton of online resources. Wish I had taken her for other classes before.
She gives you a lot of bonus point opportunities, do them all! She is very helpful and is always willing to teach a topic a different way to help you understand it. There are two tests and a final.
Great professor. Really wants to see you succeed. I am terrible at math and this was a pretty easy class for me. Do the extra credit!! It will help you in the end.
By far one of the top professors I have had. She cares greatly for the needs of the students and provides excellent information so you not only learn for tests, but learn for the career. She is consistently good too as I took her for a lower level course as well. Very understanding of students needs.
Took her over the summer, very intense workload - as to be expected. She was awesome though. Gave extra credit, helped with group project. Shares awesome real life experiences. Explains everything very well! Wish she taught more classes, I'd take them all!
MILLER IS AMAZING! I was very skeptical about accounting and considering 2100 is a weed out class with a high DFW rate, I just knew I was going to do horrible... WRONG. Miller blew me away. She dumbs it down and makes it relatable all while making it interesting! There is no reason you should make anything less than a B. GO TO CLASS. She gives EC!
Wish more professors were like Mrs. Miller! She explains material clear and thorough. Knows how to keep the class engaged. Shows a consistent concern for students and classroom conditions. Can read the room and knows when to clarify through whiteboard and verbal examples.
Professor Miller is honestly super cool and a great professor. Although attendance isn't mandatory, this is a hard class by nature, so you need to go to class and do your homework. Gives a lot of extra credit and really makes the class as easy an accounting class can be. Test reviews are very helpful.
She has test reviews that are mirror images to her tests. She offers so much bonus points and random bonus points for coming to class. I am pretty bad at math but she makes it so easy to understand. She honestly cares if people understand what she is teaching. Try and pick her if you can.
Taking this class was with Prof. Miller was good. She had clear grading criteria. Online class is through Connect. Typical Acct. assignments. I would take another class with her online again. *I have only taken online classes with her. I don't know how she is on campus, but online was pretty smooth.
Best professor I've taken so far. She has about 2 assignments a week due on connect, and quizzes and tests that are based on assignments (questions worded the same way). She genuinely cares for every single student, and seemingly knows when a student is struggling by the way she explains content (usually perfectly). She gives lots of extra credit.
My favorite professor thus far at KSU. She is absolutely wonderful and makes accounting bearable. She is willing to help clarify individually and during lecture. She gives a ridiculous amount of bonus points, take advantage of all of them. I'm so sad she's not teaching 2200 next semester, TAKE HER. YOU WILL LOVE HER!
I took both of her classes, and seriously would pay double my tution just to take all of my remaining classes with her for accounting. She was the reason i fell inlove with accounting. She made accounting class like the heaven on earth!
BEST. PROFESSOR. EVER. If you ever have the chance to be in her class, do it. She explains things SO well, is a reasonable and caring human, has a great sense of humor and is basically amazing. I was really sad she wasn't teaching the next level. Seriously superwoman.
Amazing teacher!! I was scared to take accounting but she made the class easy and interesting. Her lectures are great and she really explains everything thouroughly. Good amount of bonus points and makes the class more interesting with "class activities" (which mostly consists of throwing paper around the classroom). Wish I could take her for 2200.
GO TO CLASS! She gives up to 35 points of extra credit (most from in class activities) on a 1000 point scale. Very knowledgeable about the material and very willing to meet and help discuss problems. Very good communication about when her office hours are and when they change, has an LA to give supplemental instruction. 10/10 class.
She explains everything very clearly, and will answer questions until she's sure you understand the material. People always say this is a difficult course, but she made it super easy!
AMAZING professor!! She gave 35 points of extra credit throughout the course. The material was difficult but she made sure that everyone understood it before she moved on to the next concept. She also replaced your lowest test grade with your final grade if it was better. Take the assignments on Connect seriously bc they help a lot!!
Take her. She is the absolute best option. She is VERY thorough in teaching concepts and will make sure you succeed!! She also gives you so many extra credit opportunities (like enough to move you up a letter grade). It's almost hard to get anything other than an A. Plus, she's just a cool person. Whatever she makes, it can't be enough
Acct isnt the easiest for people to understand but professor is an amazing professor and I feel like I couldnt have picked a better acct teacher. shes very good at explaining, gives tons of help, extra credit, and many opportunities to get your grade up.
Great teacher ! took online and she did videos to explain the concepts that people struggled with. She does everything to help you make a great grade. If you struggle with math I wouldn't take the online class but if you have to, an A is possible if you put in the time.
This is one of the best professors as at KSU hands down. Accounting data analytics is a tough class and you'll have to work hard for the grade you want. Prof Miller helps in any way she can and uses class time to explain assignments in detail. The assignments are time consuming, so don't procrastinate. Great teacher, cares about students
Such a good experience. I was wary of doing ACCT online but Professor Miller makes things as easy as they can be to understand. Good options for extra credit and she makes sure to over explain concepts quite a few struggle with. Some options for retests on quizzes which is a good boost in understanding as well.
Professor Miller is incredibly understanding of all learning types. I'd take a class taught by her again in a nanosecond. She cares about everyone's grades and offers a multitude of extra credit opportunities. Never missed a class because they were informative and also enjoyable to attend. 10/10 would recommend to anyone!!
Professor Miller is hands down, the best professor for accounting at Kennesaw State. She is extremely organized and teaches the material in a very good and easy way to understand. Majority of the course is online and chegg has the answer so I recommend chegg. Test, assignments, and the final are online and no lockdown browser
Makes accounting very simple and gives everyone the opportunity to get an A if they do the work. The textbook and Connect questions from the publisher are heavily used. The 2 tests (1online) and a cumulative final (online or in-class if you want) are manageable. Bonus (up to 3.5%) is easy to get if you go to class. I ended with over a 100.
She is the best college professor I have ever had hands down. She cares about her students and tries to learn everyone's names from each class. She offers lots of extra credit and help throughout the course. I am not good at accounting but I passed with an A. She also allows quiz retakes after each quiz so don't worry. Definitely taker her!!!!
Hands down best professor I have ever had, she really cares about her teaching and students. Highly recommend.
AMAZING professor. She gives so much extra credit you would have to try not to pass. She is so willing to work with you. There were only 2 tests and a final and one of the test was online and you could choose for your final to take it in class or online. There is a lot of homework, but its not bad especially if you have chegg.
Awesome professor
Professor Miller is very nice. While not overly communicative, she will respond to questions within minutes. She also provides helpful videos of frequently missed questions. There are many opportunities for extra credit. The content itself was challenging, but she is supportive of her students. Take her if you can!
She's the best accounting professor at KSU
If you want an A in accounting and actually understand it at the same time. Take her!! She lectures and then does practice problems almost every class for bonus points. The amount of bonus points she offers is what got me from an B to an A. Exams are on connect but recorded but are exactly like the reviews on connect. Try just a little youll get A
Accounting sucks but she makes it as easy as she can. You can get extra credit for showing up and her tests are very similar to the online practice tests.
She really knows her stuff great professor with plenty of redemption opportunities she really cares for her students!
You need to take Professor Miller. She is THE best accounting professor at KSU, and one of the best professors I have ever had. She makes it easy, her lectures are amazing. She really cares about you and your grade. She gives so many opportunities for bonus points. Every quiz has a retake. She makes it easy to get an A, but still take it seriously.
Stephanie Miller is so passionate about accounting and really made this class so engaging. She breaks down topics so effectively and even though it is a homework heavy course, the homework was helpful in understanding topics. I would take her again if I could!
Amazing choice for ACCT2100. She really cares and teaches the subject well. Accounting is hard in general but she does a great job at explaining. Teaches more like a high school teacher instead of a professor. Does a great job. Lots of connect assignments. SO MANY BONUS POINTS!!!
Professor Miller is so kind and will not let you fail as long as you care enough about the class. There is so much extra credit it's a joke, and she offers so many redemption assignments. I won't lie, there is a LOT to do in this class and studying is mandatory but like I said, if you put in the work she will make sure that you get a good grade
Shes very nice and gives so much extra credit. Study and go to the SI sessions to pass. Its a lot of homework but everything is easy. 3 exams and a project. She explains how to do most of the problems on the board in class very well. Take her if you can!!!!!!!!!
AMAZING PROFESSOR!!! if you can take her class definitely do it!! so many opportunities for extra credit. The class has lots of work/ online assignments but they really helped me learn all the content.
She knows what she is doing. Very helpful and friendly Professor Ive ever met. I wish KSU brings more Professor like her. She is only teaching materials but making us ready to deal with real world. Im blessed to have her as my professor.
I took the class online. Biggest complaint is the number of platforms that are necessary to be successful in this class. Also the proctored testing application (through Mcgraw Hill Connect) is by far the worst I've ever experienced. Other students complained too. Otherwise, the professor is fair and gives plenty of bonus opportunity.
Professor Miller is very knowledgeable. This class is HW heavy. 4 tests only incl. final. Final is hard, but if you do all HW, all extra credit and review all of the videos and lectures you'll do fine. I completed all of the work even after I reached the total bonus points given. This really helped me get an A. Use Remind as she doesnt read emails.
I had Stephanie Miller last year for Modern World History and she was fantastic. Her study guides look a lot like the test and she gives you plenty of extra credit opportunities. Her lectures are very note heavy, but if you pay attention youll do really well in her class. She cares about all her students and I cant recommend her enough.
Professor Miller is very kind and a great teacher. She gives homework and extra work, but a lot of it is for extra credit. Do all the extra credit work you can! She is a great teacher but accounting is very hard- no matter who the teacher is.
She is awesome! Gives plenty of extra credit opportunities. Explains everything well. If you want to actually learn accounting take her! Just be prepared for a lot of work. Tests and quizzes are proctored. There is weekly HW and SB assignments, 2 papers a semester, Packback (every other week), and other assignments.
Professor Miller is a solid choice for Financial Accounting because she makes it very easy to understand. If you dont understand something, she has no problem going over the problem again. Make sure to study her exam review problems, and you will do great on her exams. She gives plenty of opportunities for extra credit.
She gives so much extra credit! There are so many assignments so you can boost your grade. She is interested in what she teaches in lectures. The homework format helps study for the quizzes and tests. There are 2 tests and the final. There is a group project that is not too hard. You definitely need to study, but there are plenty of resources
This class is a lot of work. 2 tests & final, 2 quiz, 2 proj., weekly hw/disc. posts. V. clear expectations from day 1. Clear schedule. LOTS of extra cred. V. accessible. V. caring and understanding. Answered any questions I had within a few hours. Wish I could take her for Acct 2102. Made an acct. here just to rate & recommend her. Work hard A
She is the best accounting professor at KSU. She gives a lot of bonus points which is amazing to have in this class. The content is a very difficult but she gets you through it. The typical tests and quizzes and a cumulative final. Also has weekly homework which can be confusing at times. She should be the only accounting professor that you take.
Professor seems knowledgeable and has experience. Taking this class was like taking it at a completely different university. She uses ALL different software and platforms that any other professor at KSU, so there is a huge learning curve. The assignments for this class alone total more than all my 4 other courses this semester. combined.
Prof. Miller is very communicative and open. But sometimes goes off topic and rambles on. Graded by many things and a wide amount of extra credit opportunities, but teaches quite fast. Do not take this class if you're a slow learner or weak at math. Quizzes are open book/note.
Accounting iteslf is a difficult subject and you have to put in the work to succeed. Professor Miller does a great job expalining the material and providing real life examples to help you understand more. She also offers a ton of bonus points! There are 3 tests total and one group project. There are also 3 quizzes! Study and pay attention.
Nice person not so great professor imo. She went through things really quickly in class so if you can catch things on fast then youll do well. Gives a tonnnn of extra credit thats easy to do so do them! Got a low B and low C on my actual tests but with extra cred and other assignments i passed w a B+
Miller was great. Homework, quizzes, and tests on connect. 3 Quizzes, 2 Exams, Final. Takes attendance and also almost every class you have bonus point opportunity and they total to 38 points at the end of sem. Group project easy, excel project easy. If you have more then 5 unexcused absences you get points off but she didnt enforce it. TAKE HER!!!
By far one of the best accounting profs, lots of homework but is potentially an easy A class. Also go to the Student intern sessions.
Shes great, offered many opportunities to be successful in her course. Cant recommend enough
Class is very organized. She's very helpful and will go over things many times until you get it (if time allows). Responds to text quickly. Gives lots of extra credit. Anwers any questions that you have. Accounting was very hard, but I managed to get an A in her class.
She is great. Lectures are detailed and provides lots of info for the test. Test are not hard, she provides all of the study materials. couple small projects throughout that help with the material. Large team project at the end of the semester (its super fun and helpful).
The course schedule was terribly created. Projects had different due dates across the syllabus and course schedule so I had no idea when they were actually do. NOT a good communicator! My classmates and I have multiple missing assignments including an exam grade and have all reached out, but she has yet to respond. The course load is extreme.
For an intro class you will do a lot of work and have to stay on top of due dates! Also get ready to sign up for multiple different platforms. Lots of extra credit available.
Dr. Miller is literally a ROCKSTAR!!!!! She's the most accomodating professor that I have seen throughout my time at Kennesaw State. She has taken time out of her day to answer my questions and concerns while making it COMPLETELY EASY TO UNDERSTAND. I would definitely take her class again and any future classes that she offers. TAKE! HER! CLASS!
Professor Miller taught ACCT 2101 very well. The class was engaging with well-taught lectures and activities. Lots of homework, though, through connect, so keep that in mind. Tests are based on the quizzes. Go to SI the sessions, the questions gone over in the sessions are based on the test.
Very great teacher. Explained all the material clearly, not too much homework. She gives up to 30 points in bonus sometimes just for showing up to class. All you gotta do is show up to class pay attention and do the homework and you will get an A
The class equated to 1000 points consisting of multiple projects, 2 exams, and 2 quizzes. Ms. Miller is a great teacher that teaches the coursework very well and will provide as much help as you need. Her class is a bit difficult if you're striving for an A but definitely possible if you put in the effort.
Definitely one of my favorite professors I have had so far. I found some of the concepts interesting, but also difficult to wrap my head around at times. She was extremely helpful with her lectures and explanations. She would offer a good bit of extra credit throughout the course. She was very encouraging and gave great feedback.
I am literally switching my major to accounting because of her. Explained everything so clearly, was so familiar with the course, and went above and beyond to help you succeed. Definitly go to class and SI sessions if you can, so helpful and informative. She was an amazing professor, I looked forward to every class.
Super difficult class overall. Would not recommend taking this professor as she seems to have some sort of god complex about how well she understands accounting even though most of her information and handouts are pretty hard to get great notes from. Not a terrible professors but she is teetering the line as closely as possible.
Her class is one of the harder ones and she expects a lot from her students, but she is also willing to crawl through the mud with you to help you learn all the material. She has two exams: the midterm and final. Students who win her last group project can exempt the final if they're lucky. There are lots of opportunities for extra credit.
Absolutely enjoyed her summer sem.! It was challenging & fun at the same time. 3 ind. projects, a manual accounting problem, group project simulation, midterm & final, Excel project, excel exam, & 3 homework ass. Put forth effort & you'll make an A. She gives extra credit. It's kind of hard to fail her class she gives you plenty of opportunities.
Professor does the bare minimum. She left the class to the student teacher the whole semester. The assignments she gives are not worded well so it is very difficult to understand. There is an Excel assignment in which you have to pay $10 for StudentExcel to get the assignment which is extremely confusing and takes forever on top of all the reading.
I'd recommend her to anyone. I struggled hard with Acct 1&2. Go to review sessions before tests! She is very approachable and cares about her students immensely. This class is hard if you don't have a math brain like me. But you can pass for sure.
One of the best professors I've had during my little time I've currently had at KSU. Extremely knowledgeable about the material and is really good at explaining topics that are difficult to grasp. If it weren't for me having her as a professor, I would've dropped Accounting early on and switched out of the business major field.
The best professor I have ever had! If you have to take introduction into accounting, you MUST take miller! She's willing to crawl through the dirt to help her students if they are struggling. SO MUCH extra credit. There is an excel project midway through the semester- DO NOT WAIT TO DO IT! It takes days! READ THE TEXTBOOK & PAY ATTENTION in class!
TAKE THIS CLASS! Prof Miller is a very good and caring professor! She is always available and she makes the material so much easier to understand! Her quizzes and tests are very fair and she offers LOTS of extra credit especially if you show up to class! 3 exams + final + occasional quizzes (all lockdown browser) and 1 group project at the end.
She is a fantastic professor, I'm not an accounting major, but she made this class enjoyable. I had a rough start to her class, and she took the time when I set up office hours to work through problems with me, and I left with an A. I couldn't recommend her more!
Great professor ! I feel like I was actually able to learn the material well in this class, she made work easier and was often available to explain anything. There's tons of extra credit opportunities, just come to class !
Really nice professor. Studying the homework and taking notes prepares you for the test. Only downside is some of the format questions for the test were unclear. Also there's two projects, a time consuming excel project & end of semester group project. She's really understanding and pushes back turn in dates when needed. Easy A if you put in work.
I studied tremendously with the accounting materials and still struggled on tests. Only passed because of the extra credit provided by the teacher. There are three tests + final and quizzes and homework. Tests impact your grade heavily and proctored. Quizzes are open notes(not worth much) and have a writing assignment (easy), and two projects.
I LOVED HER. She was genuinely dedicated to helping students understand accounting, and her lectures did an amazing job at clarifying concepts. She gives so many extra credit opportunities and occasional redo's on quizzes. Test were online through lockdown, but her practice problems prepare you for the problems on the test. She's amazing, take her!
Overall, this class was not too hard for an intro summer class. Take advantage of extra credit, tests are not too crazy and study the offered PowerPoint. Two projects within the semester, one is a group project and it is kind of a lot of work. The other is an Excel project. The professor responds well to emails and actually cares.
I thought the tests were very hard even with a lot of studying/practice but there are lots of assignments/projects that helped balance that. There is abt a project a week but the grading isn't too hard as long as you hit the main points. Prof also offers a bit of extra credit. Prof Miller is nice and answered all questions I had. Lecture heavy.
Professor writes tests that are extremely difficult and offers no reviews or study guides to help. You basically need to do well on all the homework and projects to balance out the tests if you want to pass with a b or higher. most people I talked to failed the tests and only passed because they did well on the other graded assignments.
This is a very lecture heavy class in the sense that she reads off of PowerPoints but never really works out information for you. Furthermore, for my class she has used at least 4 different websites to access material. She's nice and gracious, but if you are a visual learner then maybe look at other professors.
the TOUGHEST accounting professor on ksu campus. Most accounting professors will drop the lowest exam grade but she does not, which I see as unfair as most of my friends accounting professors do this. You also have to explain your answer on webcam for test and yes she will deduct points, this sucks bc exams already give me enough anxiety.
do not take this professor. Does not explain anything and gives no study guides or extra help for exams. Super tough grader and extremely difficult exams. If I would have taken a different professor I most likely would have gotten an A or B. Do yourself a favor and skip on this professor.
does not drop lowest test grade, long tests and you have to explain your answer on lockdown exams. I would take another professor
Many assignments, lots of work and she does not go into detail on explaining material. she doesn't drop lowest quiz or test grade which sucks because most teachers do.
She's very sweet and willing to talk to you after class about something; however, she is not the best at going into detail of the material. She gives the basic layout of the material and her powerpoints are copy and paste from the textbook. I would recommend a different professor as my tutor for accounting has helped me and taught me more.
Miller was fine. She does lecture most of the time in class and there are a TON of assignments. Just keep pace with the syllabus and schedule and you should be fine. But, beware there are many assignments to complete and a cumulative final. There is a SIM game where the winning team can opt out of the final, but don't count on that. Be prepared.
Professor Miller is AMAZING. This is a difficult course solely because it is accounting however I truly believe she is the best professor for it. While attendance is not mandatory this is how you receive most of the extra credit points and learn all of the material as this class is incredibly lecture heavy.
Do NOT take her if given the chance, she implements video test questions where you must state your answer out loud rather than typed out and/or have to vocally explain why you chose the multiple choice answer, and if you can't adequately explain it then you lose all credit. She also does not round any grades no matter how close. TONS of homework.
Easy for a 4 week sum. semester. She gives so much extra credit and grades the projects so lightly. Exams are tough because of long free response questions, but she drops hints towards what it will be during lectures. Big group project at the end is an easy 200 points. Top two teams can exempt the final
If you fail her class its really a you problem. Had her for the four week semester, and she taught the class so well, that it made the four week seem less condensed then it actually was. Easy A.
Professor Miller truly wants her students to succeed. While attendance wasn't mandatory, it's in your best interest to attend her classes as she will provide a lot of information that you will need for her exams (midterm and comprehensive final) and the many projects you will do. She grades generously and is very kind as well. 100% recommend.
Not sure why she had bad reviews. She made this class one of the more interesting accounting courses. Shes clear on what she expects for projects/ exams and grades work generously. The big group project might seem intimidating at first, but it's both very informative and fun. She also offers generous extra credit. 10/10 professor, would take again.
Professor Miller makes the class engaging despite the heavy workload. The exams are challenging, but the generous extra credit and projects help balance it out. Unstuck ai proved useful for test prep alongside the textbook. Overall, a solid class if you stay on top of the work.
Overall, one of the best professors I've ever had at Kennesaw State University. Her lectures are very good very easy to understand and informative. Her test are in person and online will definitely recommend taking. She also gives lots of extra credit.
Stephanie is a nice professor however the class is hard. There are a lot of assignments that take substantial time! I highly recommend not taking this class if you are taking a ton of classes. It needs attention! The tests were okay multiple choice, matching and short answer. She uses a service called Proctor Edu which I absolutely hated!
Didnt like how assignment, project, and test-heavy the class was... I spent more time on this class than all my classes combined. Professor also likes to go pass class time and schedule more lectures or zoom calls OUTSIDE of class days which is annoying. It doesn't consider people who have work. Dont take her if you have a lot going on.
Good professor for a hard class. Go to class and pay attention and you will receive a good grade.
Not a hard class, it's just A LOT of content. The 2 exams cover 7 chapters I believe with free responses. This was definitely a lot of work and very time consuming. The other reviewer is lying, the only time we had a Zoom lecture scheduled was during a snow day DURING THE REGULAR CLASS TIME. Such a kind woman though. The final was super easy.
This class was stressful lol. It's just so much stuff to cover. Make sure to do well on projects to cushion your exam grades. The final was basically a repeat of the last 2 regular exams. I know people who bombed the first exam and got an A in the class, since she let us replace our lowest exam score with the final. DO EVERY BONUS OPTION THERE IS!
As an online student, she had no other resources other than the textbook. There were no video lectures to follow. She also does not respond to email. She is not awful but she is no help for an online student. You completely teach yourself.
i loved professor miller. she's amazing. this class is no walk in the park though. it is completely concept based. tests are 6 chapters long. you need to study daily to do well. she is very straightforward when it comes to what will be on the test/ quizzes. love her though she's amazing.
One of the most interesting accounting classes I've taken. When learning about fraud, instead of feeling educated I left the class feeling inspired. Take professor Miller!! Best option for sure!!
