I just finished her class this semester, and it was a nice welcome to college. Her papers are pretty hard, but she does give you enough time to do them. Quizzes are unexpected, but are easy if you do the reading assignments. Sometimes the reading assignments don't make sense to what she talks about in class. Overall, Stepahie is difficult, but hot!

She was an excellent teacher and helped you out whenever you needed it. The papers were sometimes long but some of them were fun...I wrote a paper on Family Guy...She's really nice! So you should take her!

Todd can seem intimidating at first, but she's actually really funny and good-natured. The class is very text-heavy, but if you read you shouldn't have a problem doing well. The writing assignments are pretty easy across the board, but time-consuming. Sometimes, she can come across as ill-informed, but her textual analysis easily makes up for it.

Professor Todd's course is very text heavy. The biggest factor in passing the class is READ THE MATERIAL. She followed her syllabus to a T, so no excuses for forgetting something. The SWAs (Short Writing Assignments) are easy A's and constitute a large chunk of your grade. She is funny, dry witted, and helpful She gets frazzled quite easily.

Fantastic teacher. Hands down the best in the english dept. She is strict about attendance, but you don't want to fall behind when it comes to the hard books. The books are hard to read or understand, but tough it out, she GIVES you the test questions, just study and you'll ace it.

I actually took this class last fall. I really enjoyed it. The class was very interesting, and she is a great teacher. She can have her bad days, but overall a very nice person who is willing to help any way she can. GO TO CLASS.

I took this class Spring 2012. She is a great teacher who knows what she's talking about. Very intellectual, and I felt like she is on the same level with her students. I highly recommend her, but get on her good side early and TALK OFTEN. GO TO CLASS.

If you have perfect attendance you don't have to take the final. Do the reading and talk in class and you should be fine! I wish she was teaching 1150!

Mrs Pickard, now that she is married. But TAKE HER! I had her for Western Humanities I. She is absolutely amazing. As long as you pay attention in class and read you will do fine! She explains everything you need to know. It's a lot of work, but nothing that is hard at all. Seriously, take her!

Mrs. Pickard is the best professor I had this semester! As long as you read the books she requires, and attend class, you will do good on her tests! Her tests are short answer and an essay. They are also pretty self explanatory as long as you read the text. She is great! I recommend her!

At first, I thought Mrs. Pickard was going to be hard. However, she isn't hard, she simply doesn't settle for average work. Go beyond what we talk about in class and you will pass with flying colors. She is willing to work with you outside of class. No attendance policy but lots of in class writing so you shouldn't miss class.

She is a fantastic teacher! I had her for Rhetoric and Comp 2 and Western Humanities and would get her again if I could. Class is all discussion based and if you pay attention and interact you will make a good grade. If you have perfect attendance in Western Hum. you don't have to talk the final. Great teacher!! Prof. Todd is a great teacher! He class is entirely discussion based but easy. As long as you go read, go to class, and take notes during discussions you'll make an A in her class. I'm a freshman and coming from a community college where I dual enrolled in Comp 1, I thought I was for sure going to struggle! TOTAL OPPOSITE. She was so helpful and funny too! She gives great feedback on papers and really helps in class! I would defiantly take her again!

If you do not enjoy reading, don't take this class. Actually, just don't take the english option for western humanities. There is a lot of reading and writing papers on the books. Her class is set up like a discussion circle. You need to participate. You do need to buy all the books.

I love Ms. Todd. Not only is she a great teacher, but she is really understanding. If you are having trouble with anything, just go to her office and she will help you. She takes into account each individual's abilities and grades accordingly. She is also a cool person and if she thinks its too cold or she's not feeling well she cancels class.

Professor Todd was really blunt and honest and I loved that. She is a slow grader though and it takes a while for her to give you your grades back but she gives a lot of feedback on your papers and helps you as much as she can. She is definitely a good English professor.

She was very fun. You do not have to know how to write good papers. She will go over papers in class and make everything very clear. You get to do a portfolio draft where an A is possible. This is the first english class I have ever enjoyed.

200 word responses due every day before class about the reading material. Test are essays where you have to chose a theme about the text , make a claim and find examples. I wouldn't say this class is easy, but it isn't hard. Participation is required every single day. If you miss less that two classes you don't have to take the final.

She is a great teacher, but you have a lot of reading, but most of them are interesting and if you keep up with the readings then it should be an easy A. She is a tough grader, but is willing to help in any way possible! Glad I took this class.

Great teacher. This is purely a discussion class. One online writing due per week (200 words). Few (Less than 5) in class assignments all year. She let's you make up the test essay questions the class before the tests. Tests are just 1 essay & pretty easy. 2 papers all year on topics you get to pick. 10/10 Would definitely recommend. Very laid back

She was great! The class was very laid-back. Read and show up, put in effort an you should have an A. She works well with each student and is very relatable. Defunited recommend her.

I loved this class. It has been one of my favorite classes so far because of the professor. She is amazing. Does a great job of working with each student and you get to decide what you want on the final/mid-term. I excelled in this class with little effort and enjoyed it! Take this professor you will not regret it!

This class is one big research project with several assignments throughout the semester. It wasn't too hard and Prof. Todd is nice and gives lots of good feedback in conferences.

Professor Todd was so much fun. She is hilarious, very easy going, and genuinely enjoys the subject she teaches. Her assignments are simple but she can sometimes be a bit unclear about what she expects on them so make sure to ask questions. She's very accessible and willing to utilize office hours if you need them.

I liked Professor Todd as a person, but I felt as if she had too many other student's papers to read and grade. She didn't put in as many grades as she said she was going to. But I never enjoyed English till this class. The topics that you will write on are interesting. I think that Professor Todd has a great personality and is funny too.

You are assigned a research topic and do multiple papers/proposals over the topic throughout the semester. Professor Todd gives very good feedback and can point you in the right direction. Lots of opportunities for grades.

I enjoyed Professor Todd for this class. She picked interesting stories that you don't hate reading. She picks broad topics and has you right about those broad topics for a few weeks at a time. The class was super easy, and she was pretty laid back. I recommend taking her!

This class is online and fairly straightforward with weekly readings and assignments, not too difficult as long as you keep up with the work. Prof. Todd was a lot more accessible than other online professors I've had and she was really nice about working with me when I needed extensions on a few assignments. Would recommend!

Honestly, I really enjoyed Professor Todd's class. I would recommend taking it. Every week you have a fairly short reading with a discussion and quiz although they are very easy.

Professor Todd was so nice and caring. While there are a few essays and whatnot, each week you do a certain project that helps build-up to the next project, making it easier. She gives you plenty of time and resources to complete the assignments. If you aren't a good essay writer, this might be difficult.

Professor Todd is a very good English professor. We have three main papers throughout the semester that all build on each other like one assignment and these make up the bulk of your grade. The only downside is she takes it pretty serious for a gen-ed, but she is very great at helping and very great at teaching.

Mrs. Todd is a great teacher. She's an extremely fair grader and as long as she sees you putting in time and thought, you'll do well. All we had to do was read a little text, take a small quiz over it, and do a discussion board. There were three main paper assignments that all build on each other, but they were pretty easy as well.

I really enjoyed taking Prof Todd for English 1310, she is a really fair grader and cares about her students. She can be lenient on deadlines as long as you speak with her, not a ton of work but does require participation in discussion boards and one big paper at the end of semester. Professor Todd is a great teacher. The lectures can be a little boring as she will talk until the last minute and you can only miss 2 classes before being penalized. However the work is broken down weekly so nothing is too overwhelming and she's very clear with her instructions.

Professor Todd was awesome. She's caring and funny. We had a couple pretty hefty writing assignments, but the in-class preparations we did for them left me feeling very capable of completing them. We did two rounds of revisions for every big assignment we turned in, which definitely helped me get a better grade. I never used the textbook.

This class was taken online and was fairly time intensive. I spent easily 7-10 hours a week on this class alone. It should be known I wrote a lot and was very thorough with the material, but in the end, the grade shows. She is very understanding and pushed our writing back a little. I took this as an online class. She was a great professor and often checked in with students to see how they were doing and if they understood the assignments. Most work for this class is discussion posts and short, easy quizzes. However, you will have a final paper. There isn't a required textbook, but you do have to read two novels.

You write a few papers, but she does a great job taking you through it all. Provides help if you reach out and is very understanding as long as you are open and honest and transparent she will work with you.

Love her! She is very flexible when the class needs extra time depending on the reasoning for drafts. I am a theatre student with rehearsals and she helped me with time constraints on the persuasive essay. Definitely lots of writing but that's just how it is with English classes. Fairly decent grader, just do what she asks on the rubric. CHOOSE HER

You only have 4 main grades, and you have to do good on all, or your grade will be brought down severely. She also said she lets you pick grading policy and attendance, but do not get excited; she does not.

Great BookTok and Social Media class. In this class, we read books, have discussions about them, and write about them. You have two projects that are very interactive, and the entire environment is very fun. We read 5 books in total and they were all very engaging.
