She's fun, cool, and interesting. I am glad I took her.

I would not take this class if you are majoring in psychology or sociology. Excellent instructor, lecture is pretty much the main points and principles of sociology. Good sense of humor.

This class is an easy A if you just go to class, take notes, the tests are directly from the notes. She is really laid back.

Stephanne is great. She really makes the material easy to understand and it's really not hard to get an A in her class if you show up!

Easy multiple choice tests, nice person but donesn't cover all the information that she said she would at the beging of the semester. Gets upset when other people talk, or say too much. Lets class out early even when we are behind.

Shes very funny and intersting and I enjoy her lectures. I wish there was more to her class then just lectures and tests, like maybe one paper or some inclass assignments. But she is helpful and if you ever have a question she will take the time to help you out.

The class is just lectures and tests. She's really sarcastic, but in a funny way. Loved her! If you need a class that doesn't take much outside of class then this is the one!

I thought she was a very helpful teacher and I really enjoyed her class. She's articulate and has a wonderful sense of humor. You'll laugh alot. She knows her subject matter too.

Stephanie was awesome! I took her for the summer semester 06 and I loved it. I was late to every single class and she was nice about it. SHe is funny and keeps the class interesting. Her tests are pretty easy if you go to class and pay attention. Her story about her husband made me want to cry!

i loved her! she is such a nice lady. if you go to class and take notes and use those notes to study for the test you will do fine. there is no homework, which i loved also. there was just 4 test grades so its really easy! she is really down to earth and fun to talk to!

She writes the notes word for word on the board. Memorize everything you copy that she writes and you will get an A. She is funny, nice, friendly, and the class is fun and she gives the information in a fun way and I can say I will miss her class.

A very interesting professor to take. Not sure how much I actually learned about Sociology in the big picture. Tests are from notes, no textbook needed at all. Good general class if you are not going into the field of Sociology or Psychology and just need an intro class that doesnt go too in depth for your degree.. Recommended Highly.

Not a difficult class at all as long as you come to class and take notes. There are only 4 tests and the questions come straight from the notes that Stephanne gave you! I highly recommend Stephanne for sociology!!

She is an amazing teacher! She is extremely helpful and is willing to answer any question you have. Don't worry about buying the textbook though, there are hardly any reading assignments and she has you take notes in class.Whatever she teaches in class is all you need to know for her tests. Go to class, take notes, and you will get an A.

I loved her! She insisted that we call her by her first name, and was very funny and interesting. If she got through the notes too quickly (which was almost every day), she just let us leave instead of trying to draw it out longer. No homework, just four tests. Make sure you show up!

Great teacher, no problems. She likes to interact with the students so if you dont like to be called on or messed with in class dont sit in the front row. All together really good teacher.

Took Intro to Sociology with Stephanne. I absolutely loved her teaching and sense of humor. Although her class was easy enough, you must pay attention to catch certain aspects of her teaching that appear on tests. Don't take this class if you're looking for an easy grade- you MUST study for tests. Almost no book usage.

A really great teacher!! I love her teaching, she's a really nice person and she makes sociology more interesting than i first thought the subject would be. Just make sure that you do WRITE YOUR NOTES and use them to study for tests and you'll definitely pass this course with flying colors. Highly recommended!!

She is super nice and easy. All the tests come word for word from her notes. You can skip sometimes and still do fine. She is really funny and loves sociology, she picks on people in a nice way and she is overall just really pleasant. You'll actually enjoy class if you take her! I'd recommend her. Ps you dont need the book..save your money.

Tests are directly from notes so show up to class (Easy A). Sometimes she will give hints on what material will be on the test. At most 3 questions out of 50 will be on test from Reading Assignments. Book is interesting but not necessary to make an A. In-class participation is part of her grading system; show up and you will get the points. A+

You must show up to class if you expect to get a good grade. very zen class, no stress. alot of in-class activities worth a chunk of your grade, but they are easy. she really makes class interesting. very sweet person. (just found out about rate my professor and was horrified, kinda funny).

Zale is the best teacher that I've had at JCCC. Her tests are 100% from her note. To get an A, just study her note and do some reading assignments. Highly recommend her. Took her class in Fall 2010 and got an A

Took intro to soc with her, she was so sweet. Very nice, gives hints during lecture as to what will be on test. Tests aren't hard if you study your lecture notes and read the few reading assignments she gives. Loved this class, if you take soc take with her!!!!

Sweetest lady ever. All the tests are literally straight from the notes, with exception of a few short reading assignments (usually just a couple pages) here and there. If you study the lecture notes, you'll do well. I had three tests which I received 100% on.

I LOVED Stephanie! She was always super helpful! She always had our tests graded by the next class period. I loved how she was very clear about assignments and how they were graded. She tells you how things (like tests) are going to be and sticks to it! i couldn't ask for a better teacher!

Miss Zale is an amazing teacher! Funny too! She kept class light and fun and she really kept me interested. She does not give out homework! You heard right, NO homework. Other than 2-3 readings out of the book for exams. Lectures every class period but exams are DIRECTLY from her lectures notes. Also a few in-class assignments worth little points.

She is so incredibly nice! There are 4 tests that are very easy as long as you take notes in class. She gives outside reading, but I did none and it hasn't hurt my grade. There is no final, it is just like the other easy tests. Take this class, go to class, pay a little attention, and you will pass.

Stephanne is amazing. She is hilarious, kind, interesting, you name it. I just wish she taught other classes. She is very understanding of absences, be respectful to her though. Don't miss lectures, because the tests are based on them (Although you can get by with the book). Plus, you won't want to miss them because she makes them so interesting!

Super easy class, but interesting & fun. Show up. Tests ALL multiple choice & almost exactly from her notes (literally writes them on board for you). A few short readings. Copy buddy's notes if you must be absent. Emails if no class. Always out early. Likes questions, really nice, sentimental, funny, will make fun of you if you're being an idiot.

Professor Zale opens her class explaining how the class will work. This particular semester we had four tests, and three in-class group activities (not like group projects, just a sheet of questions to be answered. Go to class, WRITE DOWN ALL NOTES! She welcomes students to speak up in class when it is appropriate. A highly recommended teacher!

You can skip class but she tests from notes so going to class is a good idea, she assigns homework regularly but they are small projects that typically take between 5 min - 1 hour at most its not bad. She tells lots of stories to keep lectures interesting as well as asks students perspective on subjects

Definitely on of the greatest professors i've had, she knows what she's talking about and it's clear she cares about all her students learning, grading is very fair and test can be easy if you don't skip any classes and take all notes, and her notes are very clean and organized , for anyone needing to take Sociology, definitely recommend her.

Write down all the notes, and you'll pass the tests. I quite a few days of class, and didn't turn in a couple of assignments. There's homework and the tests aren't cumulative. She wants you to do well, and don't let her words offend you because some people may take it the wrong way.

Great Professor! Really enjoys teaching Sociology. My only complaint: since we did not use the entire textbook over the semester, the professor chose certain topics, and I was less interested by the ones she chose since they were fairly similar. The transition to online was rough but worked out in the end. Would recommend!

She is such a caring professor! The class was graded on 4 exams, 1 paper, and 6 smaller assignments. She essentially writes the notes on the board and she will let you take pictures of them. The lectures are the perfect mix of concise information and examples and stories to help you remember everything. She reminds me of my favorite grandma!
