My B does not reflect his teaching. Amazing teacher.
Dr. Adams does make an effort to present material to help, but the lecture videos that he uses are almost entirely unreliable and do not benefit you so whatsoever. That being said, he takes time to explain the material in class which does in fact make it seem more like a traditional setting rather than the flipped method that it is classified as.
Dr. Adams is a genuinely outstanding professor. Calculus can be difficult at times, but his exams are extremely fair and accurately measure your knowledge. Go to office hours if you canthey're super helpful.
Dr. Adams is an amazing calculus professor who will answer any and all questions you have. If you create regular interactions with him, it makes MAC2311 so much easier as he explains things in ways that just make sense. I cannot recommend him enough.
Amazing professor and truly cares about his student's success. Available outside of class and actually works with you through questions and gives you tips and tricks. Also summarizes lectures before class begins do that's cool.
Dr. Adams was a very accessible professor and made calculus bearable. I would say he was very fair and always made an effort to make himself available outside class. He always gave useful feedback and was overall a very good professor.
Great lecture videos! It's a flipped class, so you watch lectures at home and then do assignments "in class" (also at home this semester). Tests are challenging but not ridiculous if you have done all the online homework assignments and understand how you did them. Provides practice exams and past exams to study for the test. Very funny dry humor.
Highly recommend for Calc 1. The flipped class style is super helpful, and Dr. Adams himself is super funny and caring. He made math a bit less painful. 10/10 Recommend.
Dr. Adams is a really great calc professor. His lectures are really helpful, and he always explains problems if you need help. I went to office hours to review a test and he explained each problem I got wrong. I'd definitely recommend him. Make sure you get a good TA, though
Dr. Adams is a kind man who is clearly passionate about math and teaching. He is very understanding and willing to help. Has some funny jokes as well. Your grade will be primarily tests, but exams from previous semesters are provided to study from - study those and you'll be fine!
Compared to other teachers lecture videos they are much better. I took calculus in high school and this class was so easy. Dr. Adams is also super understanding if you email him about missing class ahead of time.
Just loved Stephen; was always super nice and funny in class and great at explaining concepts. I would highly recommend him for Calc 1, the pre-lecture quizzes are always simple and he's great at letting you know when something is important or not for exams.
Dr. Adams was fantastic. Good humor, but just the right amount. He gives great lectures, and was very adaptive to the new online learning environment. Before each exam, he would make announcement in Canvas listing each old exam and which specific problems would pertain to test. Highly recommend!
Great guy, not so great professor. I would not take his class if this is your first calculus class. Overcomplicated super easy subject material to the point where getting good grades on tests felt impossible. Test questions were so difficult, it almost was like they weren't even testing you on the concepts, but just wanted you to fail.
Calculus 1 is awful, but the awful parts are usually department-controlled (The exams and review options). Adams is the best you'll get.
I was initially hesitant about the flipped classroom style for Calc 1 but I learned to like it. Adams is a pretty good teacher and this class style helped prepare me for tests. Very very nice guy, pretty funny, and very approachable. He's a great option for calc.
It's a flipped-style classroom, which I think benefitted me. Adams is super reasonable in terms of attendance, work, grades, etc. All exams had possible extra credit. It's a class where if you actually try, you'll be fine.
Dr. Adams is a cool guy. I took the flipped classroom calc 1, and I thought it was okay. Math is pretty ugly in my opinion, but if you have to take math, Dr. Adams is approachable, patient, and funny, and he is always willing to help students who ask for it. His jokes can be pretty epic, too
It is a flipped course, and participation is mandatory. Dr, Adams is very clear on the course material, and lots of practice exams are offered. If you actually put an effort to get an A, there is no way you will end up with anything else.
Adams is great, he is very funny and very clear on how the class works. Make sure to stay on top of things and do as much practice as possible, including the practice test. However do be aware that sometimes the practice tests are like the tests and other times completely different. Make sure not to miss class, as it is flipped
Prof. Adams is a nice, funny guy and always helps when its needed. If you don't have calc experience, his recorded lectures aren't the best imo. However, if you put in the effort in the class, you will be fine. Extra credit is offered on the exams.
Adams is honestly great. I didn't like the flipped structure of the class but he was always available for office hours. He's really approachable and doesn't make you feel dumb when you don't know how to do something. This class is definitely difficult (you have to put in the work) but I think that's just how the class is set up.
I accidentally took MAC2311 flipped classroom but I ended up liking it because of Dr. Adams. Very solid teacher; gave excellent feedback when asked questions.
One of the best math teachers I've had, so patient and thorough with explanations. I had the flipped class and I really liked it, I also definitely recommend his office hours they're super helpful.
Dr. Adams is a great professor, I took him for MAC2311 and MAC2312. He was very helpful in class, and was always willing to stay after class to answer any questions we had. He does a good job at explaining how to find the answer to a question, and his thought process behind his work. Both classes are difficult but he wants you to succeed.
Dr. Adams is a fantastic professor. I have taken Calc 1 & 2 with him and he is extremely consistent and really knows his stuff. Ask him an obscure question in class and he'll answer it as if he had the full answer prepared beforehand. He also has great humor. Calc is hard, but Adams certainly makes the class doable. Highly recommend.
Professor Adams was amazing! I took the flipped class, and the lectures weren't amazing but he always did a wonderful job of re-explaining the concepts. He was always thorough in his explanations and willing to help. There are also opportunities to help your grade like extra credit and extra points on exams. Wonderful professor!
Although this was a flipped class (watch lectures outside of class and do a worksheet in class), Dr. Adams briefly explains the material at the beginning of each class. He has no problem answering any questions you have in or outside of class as well. Great professor but make sure you are willing to put in work outside of class if you take him.
Great professor, the best math teacher I have had to date.
LOVE THIS ABSOLUTE LEGEND
He is an amazing professors and possibly one of the most organized professors I have ever had. His lectures are perfectly organized and he always gives great feedback when students have questions. His grading is very clear and he allows for 5 extra points on the exams: i.e. if you got 95 points on the exam you would get a 100%. Highly recommend.
Absolutely amazing professor with great teaching skills.
great lecturer & clarity in calc 2 :)
Great professor who is funny and personable, but not a fan of the course or its material. This is quite a difficult class and merely focuses on the mechanics of calculus rather than its applications. I would strongly recommend that business majors with no intention to switch to engineering, etc. opt to take MAC2234 instead.
The lectures were always great, engaging, and thorough. The class was a bit difficult, but having him as a professor made it easier. He always did a great job answering questions during and after class.
Topics are paced very well and lectures tie together well from lecture to lecture making them easier to follow. Although missing a lecture will mean you'll be completely lost, they're always posted online and very easy to access so in-person attendance is not mandatory but definetly encouraged.
Professor Adams was very friendly and engaging, though he often moved through material very quickly.
professor adams gives great lectures, and moves through the content quickly enough so i never got bored or distracted. he also posts a TON of resources on canvas to help you get extra practice if you need it. calc 2 is probably the hardest class i've ever taken, but professor adams made it doable
Professor Adams was very good. He has very clear lecture notes and problems to work through. The exams are reasonable as long as you do the Xronos homework.
I did withdraw from this class because calc 2 is a different breed. However, I liked Professor Adams because he was caring. I felt like there wasn't enough time in lecture to cover examples. The hw was hard because I never knew how to start. He gave us days off after exams that I would have preferred to go class so that I could learn more.
Although I came into this class with a previous foundation of calculus, the flipped manner of this class definitely helped me succeed. This class is perfect for those who like to work in groups to solve problems and watch lectures as homework.
I loved the class. It was flipped and I thought it would be hard but it wasn't that bad. I will say that he has a lot of lecture videos that are long and sometimes he would confuse me. However, I had StudyEdge that had short videos and taught me the same thing that he did in an easier way. He also cracked jokes to keep you engaged. Would recommend
Dr. Adams is a great professor. I had taken calc 2 in high school but Dr. Adams helped me understand the topics so much more than I had before. The material can be difficult at times and if you actually do the xronos assignments it will be very time consuming.
I have already taken Calculus BC in High School and passed it, but my advisor had me retake it for some reason. I already understood most of the material and felt he sometimes overcomplicated concepts. But when I didn't understand, I would go to his office hours which he had a lot of and was very helpful. Also a really nice guy!
Dr. Adams is basically all you can ask for from a professor, since his lectures are clear and consistent, he shows a desire for students to understand the material rather than memorize it, extra credit opportunities are given, he's flexible and always willing to answer questions, and is generally likeable. Would recommend for calc 2.
Dr. Adam's lectures were clear. He answered questions well and cared about the students. The course was structured fairly and the grading scale is forgivable. Would take the professor again, but not the class. The content wasn't fun.
Dr. Adams is an amazing lecturer who clearly knows what he is talking about, yet explains content in a way that is simple to understand. Although the content of the class is hard and you will have to put in the work to do well, Adams is always eager to help both online and in person.
Adam's lectures are like step-by-step tutorials. His explanations are simple and concise. However I found them more engaging when I watched them at 2x speed. Calculus isn't easy no matter who you take, but I feel Adams made me it much easier!!
Awesome teacher, explained concepts very well and was super nice and funny. The class was very difficult for me even though I went to every class period, the exams were crazy difficult and I almost never had time to finish them.
Professor Adams is a great lecturer who explains concepts of calculus extremely well. Even though Calc is somewhat difficult in general, I would highly recommend taking Adams.
Adams is easily the best math professor I've had at UF. Calc 2 is a difficult class, but Adams makes the material very approachable. His lectures are great and he's always prepped for questions. His exams are hard, but they cover the material in class and there's no real surprises. The TAs are a spotty, but that's always the case in math classes.
Idk the class was really hard for me for some reason and got a C. And then I took calc 3 and got an A. Professor is really good though. Super intricate in his explanations and has a good attention to detail.
Lectures were thorough and easy to follow/understand. Homework is short but covers all the important topics, and he gives more than enough time to complete it. Lecture recordings were nice for review. Best professor at UF so far.
- 3 lectures/week (w online recording) - 1 TA period (avoid Zhao if possible) - funny, gives grandpa from Up vibes but when he was still married to Ellie - fair amount of homework, weekly quizzes - great job explaining hard topics, does good review of calc 1 topics - in high school they tell you that profs won't care, he's the anti-example of this
Very nice guy and good professor but felt like he over complicated a lot of the material which made already difficult calc 2 even worse. Moved through lectures fast but he had to in order to cram in all of the material in a short span of a semester. Exams are pretty difficult but definitely study the practice exams in depth.
Dr. Adams is a great lecturer! For such a tough course, he explains everything thoroughly and is ready to answer questions during lectures. Attendance is expected for lectures (class participation assignments for each lecture; answers are given in the lecture) and mandatory for discussion groups (quizzes each week). His lectures are recorded, too.
Easily one of the best math teachers I have ever had. At the beginning of the year Calc 2 was heavily hyped up as the hardest math class at UF by all the preview people, but Professor Adams has his lectures refined down to such a perfect science that I'd almost say Calc 2 was easy.
Calc 2 is a really hard class but Dr. Adams makes it as easy as it can get. He explains all the concepts pretty clearly and can answer even the most obscures questions as if he already had an answer prepared. Make sure you study cause the exams are HARD!
His lectures are clear and coherent to the material that we are expected to learn. I didn't have tot use any outside resources to learn the materials because of how he was able to get students to understand his lectures. Exams aren't too bad, but the final is HARD!
Easily one of the best math professors I've had, and that is saying quite a lot when the class he teaches is calc 2. He somehow manages to keep a class of hundreds of students focused on what he says, and he is not afraid to make a joke just for fun or to get students to pay attention. He also only puts content on exams that has been in lecture.
This guy does an amazing job at making Calc 2 a bearable class. He always finds the perfect analogy to explain a concept. He's also pretty damn funny and some of his jokes will catch you off guard in a good way. Obviously this class is gonna be tough but as long as you ACTUALLY watch/go to the lectures and do practice problems you'll be fine.
Dr. Adams is a great lecturer. I did not go to his office hours, but I heard he is caring when you ask for help. I mainly used the tutoring center in the little hall for extra support. The content itself isn't difficult to learn if you put in the time and space out your learning. Study Edge also helped but provided bad practice problems.
He moves pretty fast through lectures and doesn't always do examples of the harder applications of a topic. Explains basic concepts in class but then relies a lot on TAs to get more in depth and specific with the applications. If you pay attention and do the Xronos though, you can pass.
Adams was the best math prof at UF I've had, im taking calc 3 right now with a new professor and the class is easier content wise but so much more draining because it isn't taught as well. Adams taught calc 2 amazing, if you put the work in there is no reason you don't get an A
Adams is a great professor, lectures very well and is knowledgeable. He makes everything so easy to understand and easy to follow along with. Records all his lectures and is very kind. Always stays after class for students with questions. Knows how to get through the lectures timely as well. Material is difficult but he makes it seem easy.
Calc 2 was a hard class but Adams explained all concepts in a way that made it easy to understand. Very rarely confused in this class. Adams also has a dry math teacher sense of humor that keeps class entertaining. Best professor I have had so far at UF.
Dr. Adams was great! His lectures were clear, engaging, and easy to follow. HW, attendance, and quizzes (2 lowest in each category get dropped) make up a decent portion of the grade, so it isn't too hard to get a good grade in the class. I wish he could've been my teacher for all of my calculus courses!
amazing professor who cares about students. everything that can be on the test will be shown on lectures, elaborates more if someone requests, and explains very thoroughly.
Currently have an A, class structure and lectures were thumbs up. Lectures follow the textbook (which is free) and co-written by him. Does a really good job explaining the proofs and helping you understand them. Goes over hw and exams briefly after they're graded and open to questions. Caring and approachable, teaches well.
Doable but this class is hard as hell!!! Study those practice exams relentlessly. Good guy though and lectures are recorded which is a plus.
Dr. Adams was an amazing Calc 2 professor for such a naturally hard class. He made the concepts very easy to understand, practice exams were very comparable to the actual one, and the questions you got tested on were very fair. Lectures were recorded so attendance wasn't really mandatory but there was a lecture quiz due 11:59 PM the day of lecture.
Really good professor for how hard this class was. Easily the hardest math class I've taken at UF. Dr. Adams' lectures were more than enough to get me through it with an A.
Adams was a great lecturer and all of his lectures are posted online. His exams were fair and free from errors. There are practice exams to look over. The lectures are definitely material dense, but they can be rewatched.
Dr. Adams is by far the best math teacher I have had. The last time I took math was 3 years ago in high school and calc 1 was not too bad. I took it for summer B so it was very high paced and would probably not do that again but I think if you're good with maths you would be great in his class. He is very accommodating and understanding. Take him!
Incredible professor
Had great notes and lecturing
Took Calc 2 with Professor Adams, his respect for students is so natural in and outside the lecture hall. Goes through learning materials in just the right pace. Thank you!
The best math professor I've had! His lectures are incredibly thorough, and they're recorded for you to look back on if you miss class or need to review. He is very respectful in his office hours and will never make you feel dumb, no matter the question. Tests make up 70% of your grade, but plenty of practice exams are provided.
Calc 2 is a hard class in terms of material however Adams made the course manageable. Lectures were recorded and posted. The course is heavy on three exams and the final however there are past exams provided and the material is covered in depth in the lectures and homework (Xronos).
There is a reason Dr. Adams is rated so highly. His lectures are perfect, perfect timing, perfect note template, perfect humor. He is great at explaining concepts, and the organization and structure of his class are so well thought out. He WANTS you to pass and provides all the resources you need to do so.
Excellent lecturer who gives you literally everything you need to succeed in the course. Records every single lecture in an accessible format. If your willing to put in the effort and time, you will do well in this class despite its difficulty.
Stephen Adams is the GOAT. Great guy, excellent lectures, very clear guidelines, and is available MWF at office hours and really wants to help you out. The catch? Very tough tests. Do not underestimate, they're not easy. Extra credit is available on them but don't rely on it. Weekly quizzes but 2 of them are dropped.
Great teacher and definitely a must take professor. The lectures provide a solid first glance at the topic, and he ensures that you understand the material. The weekly quizzes are usually easy if you review your notes and offer good practice. The tests are fair, and if you study your notes and review the previous exams, you should do well.
The lectures were very clear, there's extra credit on exams, and tons of practice exams available. The weekly quizzes were quite simple. If you do a few practice exams before each test you should be able to get a good grade.
He's a great professor and does a really good job explaining everything, just the content in calc 2 is really difficult.
Dr. Adams is a funny guy and a model professor at UF. Calc 2 is a hard class no doubt, but if you go to his lectures and are disciplined with practicing the concepts, an A is very achievable. For exams, get study edge and if you think you can get away with not fully understanding something, chances are its going to be on the exam.
Great professor! The class is super organized, the notes are really helpful, and the discussion quizzes are managable. I would recommend doing a lot of practice tests before the exam if you want to do well as I found the bonus problems to be a waste of time.
Just a goat professor. Calc 2 is pretty hard but Adams gives you the best chance you have to do well, he has teaching this class down to a science. Just actually do the hw and review past exams and you'll be good. One of my favorite professors ever
Legit the GOAT. He explains concepts so well, provides note packets for every single lecture on canvas, and publishes all past exams as a study resource. The math itself might be tricky at times, but your grade is so padded with homework and you have so many study resources that it's almost impossible to get a bad grade in the class.
Tests are not that hard, do as many as the previous exams as you can (all of them) as they are very similar. If you sit down and do the Xronos by yourself and understand them you will get an A. He records all his lectures so you can watch them later in the day. If you're struggling study edge really helps, I used them for exam 3 and the final.
Dr. Adams is an amazing professor!! Even though the content of this class is difficult, he explained it really well. There was a lot of homework, but it was the best thing to help me understand and practice the material. There are also a lot of resources (recorded lectures and past exams) to help you prepare for the exams.
Concepts can be a bit difficult, but a lot of resources are given to study and prepare for tests. Professor Adams was funny in his lectures and i liked the structure of the class.
Dr. Adams provides many online resources, gives easy homework, and explains concepts very well so it's honestly difficult to not do well. He's funny in class and shows how to do different problems related to a topic while in class. As long as you either pay attention to the lectures in-person or keep up with them online you'll get a good grade.
Amazing lecturer, he makes a difficult class very digestible. Workload is pretty light and most of the final grade is exams.
Dr. Adams was an incredible professor! He broke down the concepts really well and went through plenty of practice problems. The Xronos assignments could be tedious at times but were good practice. The exams were very fair and the final was very easy.
Adams covered all notes during lectures, although it was monotone and boring to me. I ended up watching the recordings of Prof Chui instead because her lectures were more engaging to me. Past exams were provided for us to review, there is ample material to study.
Dr. Adams is such a funny guy and an amazing professor. I struggle with calculus and definitely felt that other people were grasping it a lot better, but neither Dr. Adams or my TA was to blame. There's lots of resources and practice, even I ended up passing, but I could have spent more time on studying…
As someone who was not motivated and did not do well in Calc AB, Dr. Adams helped me understand a lot of the content well. Thanks to Dr. Adams I now understand calc well. Exams were fair and he gave extra 5-10% extra credit problems. He also dropped 3 lowest weekly quiz. A+ professor. One of those classes where studying is key!
Super great course! Dr. Adams' lectures are very organized and well-thought-out to teach each concept. Lectures + practice quizzes (w/ explanations for the right answers) were easily accessible online. Attendance isn't mandatory except for discussion quizzes. Made calc 2 seem simple and easy. Exams weren't difficult (abt. equal to course content).
you can print out all the lecture notes in the beginning of the year and follow along with the math during lectures. it's a good system and his lectures are really well paced
Great professor! Makes you actually understand calculus!
Professor Adams thoroughly explains topics during lectures and is very open to any questions you may have. I will say the homework can be hard, but it prepares you well for the exams. Just make sure to do practice exams and problems, and you will do fine on exams even if you think you won't.
Professor Adams was great! In lecture, he explained things really well and made it easy to understand. It was Calc 2, so it was hard, but he made it easier to understand by explaining each step thoroughly. I would recommend going to the lectures because he makes it worth it, but attendance is definitely not mandatory since he posts all the lectures
I took him after not passing Calc 2 last semester. He was great. I loved the way he explained concepts because he knows how to take very complicated topics and explain it in a very easy way to understand. His workload is also a lot more manageable than other professors, but it prepares you for the exams. I would recommend to anyone.
Dr. Adams' class was tough but I enjoyed it. I went to almost all office hours, took a lot of time on the homework, and used StudyEdge, all of which were very helpful. Dr. Adams makes it clear what you'll need to know for the exams. Midterms are taken out of 100 points with 105 available and the final has 110 available.
Very clear lectures; I had no calc 2 background and really felt good about what I was learning. My TA was great too. Exam questions can definitely be misleading and are meant to trip you up, but the concepts themselves are fine if you study and do a lot of past exams to prepare. He cares about the students, but it is also a difficult class.
For a difficult calc class with lots of content he does an amazing job teaching the subjects. Lectures are recorded and posted quickly after the lecture took place. Lots of practice exams are provided which are a good tool for the exams he gives. Weekly quizzes and HW are given but are helpful for making sure you are on track with the class.
Calc 2 is by no means easy, but if there's any professor to take it with I would choose Prof Adams everytime. He has participation quizes that are due by the end of the day that are just problems he went over in the lecture so he literally tells you the answer. He's has a math professor sense of humor which adds to his charm.
Such a great professor. He made a notoriously difficult class into something understandable. The lecture structure is incredible with him going over one topic a day. The exams are difficult but that's expected from a hard course. Make sure you do the participations at the end of the lecture, though, those are easy points that are easily forgotten.
The lectures were tedious and monotone, but the class does not have a lot of homework or busy work. The class is exam heavy but there are many practice exams that you are able to take for good practice. With the extra percentage opportunity on the midterm exams and with how easy the final is, you can earn a good grade if you apply yourself.
The professor knows his material and is generally easy to follow. Do practice outside of class.
Dr. Adams is an outstanding lecturer! Very clear explanations in the thought process for solving problems. He might be following a personal outline (or notes on talking points) when going through a lecture, so it seems very structured but he occasionally throws in some jokes. He is helpful with additional questions after each lecture.
I hate this class with all my being. With that being said, he is an awesome lecturer. Very clear explanations and the class is structured very nicely. PLEASE DO THE HOMEWORK. I didn't and my grade isn't what I would like it to be. 10 quizzes (2 dropped) 3 Exams (SOOO hard) Class participation (3 dropped) Tip: add schedule to calendar w/ reminders
idk why there's so many 5 star reviews this is by far the sleepiest I've been in a class. Guy is fine but monotone voice and if you don't ask questions it can be hard to understand why he does things sometimes. I don't think he breaks it down in a way someone completely new to topics would understand. dude is just not for me ig
He's a good lecturer for most people but I couldn't grasp the content and struggled. Adams & Calc 2 just isn't for me I guess. The exams are brutal. Study ahead of time by using the past exams and resources on canvas. Don't forget to do homework or particpation quizzes. The TAs are helpful. Set up 1 on 1 meetings with them if you are struggling.
I genuinely don't understand people who leave bad ratings for Professor Adams. Calc II is generally just a hard class, and everyone knows it. Professor Adams explains difficult material in an easy-to-understand way. No textbook, just lectures and notes, and some homework; the main thing is spamming practice problems and practice tests.
Adams is great for calc 2. His lectures were productive, and they were recorded to review for exams. As he taught, he would let us know what was expected of us on exams for that lesson. Attendance was just a couple questions from the lecture, and it was due at midnight. The homework helps to prep for exams.
Very capable professor with clear grading and great resources. All the lectures and lecture notes are available on canvas along with past exams and solutions. If you care to prepare for the exams you'll be able to. 1 quiz per week in your discussion period, and that's the only time attendance matters.
He is actually a good teacher but his class is very test heavy with them being worth 75% of your final grade and his test are pretty difficult aswell
Steve is an awesome teacher. He has a great sense of humor and keeps the class engaging. His lectures are straightforward and the class is setup very well. Highly recommend.
Adams is such a kind, funny, caring individual who I love having as a professor (please be my father). He makes the material feel natural and go by quickly, and I didn't struggle in this class because of him. I highly recommend going to lectures to not fall behind, but it goes by quickly and the homework is short. 10/10 teacher, would take again.
He is a very organized lecturer and follows guided notes which he uploads to Canvas. Very manageable workload and exams are a breeze as long as you prepare
Amazing lectures, especially with having an outline for each lesson provided on Canvas. Homework is manageable, and exams are also pretty straightforward if you look at past exams and practice, which is also provided on Canvas!
This guy is amazing. Made a notoriously hard class like calculus 2 enjoyable and genuinely has one of the most impressive teaching styles I've ever seen. He is also funny and cracks a couple knee slappers every once and a while.
Dr.Adams makes Calculus II easy and understandable. Each lecture starts off with an introduction to a new topic followed by several practice problems which he goes over in detail. I found the homework problems to be much harder than the actual exams. Practice exams are much more useful for studying which are posted on canvas.
Calc 2 is horrendous (especially for the 2nd time since I have to retake lol) but I feel like if you genuinely keep up and practice the homework every single day, you'll do fine. It just moves extremely quick and I was always behind. Felt like the other prof (Chui) gave more shortcuts/tips on her notes/office h, I ended up going to her to learn tbh
Adams is very organized and professional, and he applies a pretty rigorous treatment to calc 2 topics. At times I was confused by his explanations, so I found Chui's lectures to be slightly more helpful, but overall he is clear and communicative. Exams are challenging so make sure to do a lot of problems and practice taking the past exams.
Calc 2 is a hard class but with Adams it went pretty well (for me at least). Xronos can be buggy sometimes but usually fine. Lectures are straightforward. Those + past exams + Xronos + extra problems are all you need to do well on the exams, plus there's extra credit on them. Take advantage of office hours if you need them.
Amazing math professor that made Calculus 2 bearable. He has in-depth lectures that explain not only how certain techniques work but also why they work. The Xronos assignments are annoying sometimes, but understandable for this class, and even if the tests are difficult he properly prepares his students for every question within his lectures.
