He's great but makes students pay $80 for access to a digital text book we don't use. The website the textbook is on is used for assignments but all of that could be done on Canvas for free. He's a great professor and I definitely recommend him, but making students buy that textbook is really intolerable.

Hard class subject but I chose him for the second time after 181 and would take a class taught by him again. Attendance definitely matters but he also gives a lot of resources to learn out side of class. He's chill, would recommend (but heard beers is also very good).

Really great guy, lots of jokes in class and lighthearted. The class is difficult and based upon at least 3-5 hours of homework or studying a week. Three exams and lowest gets dropped. Participate in class, do the homework, and get help if needed, and you'll pass.

He is one of the best for physics for sure. I've heard good about Beer but after taking Alexander for both semesters I can't say that I can complain too much. I love when he has fun in class because it can make the 2 hour lectures go by at least a little bit quicker

Physics 2 is hard no matter the teacher. Come to class even if your tired to get participation points. You can easily end the semester with over 100% in the participation/homework category because there are lots of extra credit opportunities. Try to study off previous exams- they don't change much semester to semester.

He is genuinely so nice and Phy111 is actually really easy if you just practice the problems in the text book. My only warning is that you can't just listen and take notes in class you definitely need to be working in the text book and paying attention to the movies.

Like everyone said he is a nice dude but genuinely if you can avoid this class, avoid it. No matter how much you study for the exams (trust me i studied for HOURS) its impossible to get above a B. You are graded on attendance/participation, he gives little to no reminders on what is due in the class. The class average was a C. Dont take this class
