Only had 1st class but i think sdsu has Finally found a good finance teacher! Says he taught at AZ state for 6 yrs. Super nice guy, took all crashers even though there wasnt space.

Professor Blum is such a relief! He doesn't stress you out by making you memorize formulas for the tests. He provides them to you! He's really there to help and not to confuse you. He teaches you what he feels is important and goes over what will be on the tests so you know what to study for. I wish he taught more sections for everybody's benefit!

There were over 90 people trying to crash his class. Word spreads quickly. Register early! No stress class. After hearing the complaints about other Finance profs, I'm so glad I got Blum. He provides you with all the formulas you need for the tests and even gives a review before each one. Don't settle for anyone else!

Blum is a nice guy, but 321 is not the class for him. 2 tests, which were a little confusing, and a final which was basically the 1st 2 tests put together. 2 or 3 homeworks & a case study. if u take 321 with him im sure it will be different than it was for us.

Blum is awesome. He is straight out of a career of CFOing so he knows his stuff. This was his first time on this class so it was kinda confusing on some tests but he really puts forth effort to help every student via email or office hours. Lectures from powerpoints but he keeps you entertained. Not big on memorizing formulas. Overall a great teach!

This guy is the man! Cash is the answer to everything with this guy! He is funny and gets that finance is tough for non majoring students to grasp so he makes it easy. No formula memorization and the tests are straightforward. Get the book and study his powerpoints and youll be fine. Blum is sincere and wants every student to succeed. Take him!!!

Blum is the BEST finance prof around! Tests are made up of t/f and a few computation problems. He's helpful, entertaining, and makes finance easy to understand. He reviews before tests and his powerpoints are posted on blackboard. Formulas are on the test. Take him and you won't regret it!

AMAZING - great teacher, nicest guy in the world, makes class time go by quick because he is always making jokes and he is always willing to help at office hours. He basically tells you what's on the test before you take it and no homework!

Thank God for this instructor. I tried to take this class with another SDSU professor and it was a nightmare. Prof Blum is so easy to understand and really cares about finance, and his students. Take him! If you can't get into his class, wait for another semester until you can, that's my advice.

Great professor!! He makes class interesting to go to. Tests are super easy all the problems are from the homework and lecture notes. Need the book only for the hw problems so if possible buy from a friend who already had the class. 4 quizzes and two exams. The chapters he quizzes on are NOT on the exams. Very helpful professor.

this class is super easy. class consists of 4 online quizzes, 1 midterm, & 1 final. Exams are cake. if you are looking for an easy A, definitely recommend him.

This professor is alright. His class is super easy but you don't learn anything, all you learn is that cash is all that matters in finance. Few online quizzes, a midterm and a final. You can have a 2 page cheat sheet on the tests.

Good guy, fair guy. If only all classes were like this, finance would be amazing. Professor Blum is a great human being who cares about his students a lot, despite his naggy persona sometimes. Aced the midterm 200/200, got a B on the final and received an A- in the class. If only Blum taught other finances I'd only take classes with im.TAKE HIM!

Excellent professor! Easy class, two exams and four online quizzes. Professor Blum really cares about his students and appreciates those who come to class, although it was not required. Heads up - final is a little tougher than the midterm, although both are T/F and multiple choice.

Obviously an easy teacher, but the class is structured differently now--there's four exams and clicker points for attendance. PowerPoint Slides are straight from book so if you like reading the book more than looking at slides you'll be fine (& vice versa). His anecdotes and real life examples are good to listen to as well.

"CASH, CASH, CASH!!!" - You'll probably hear those words more than any other during a semester with Blum. Good teacher, relatively easy class, clicker counts for homework and attendance (daily). Exams are from the book/slides. Grading is kind of off though... an "A" is 97% and up...very small room for error. Good Luck!

BEST TEACHER AT STATE!He's not one of those professors who lectures to hear himself talk or has power trips. He makes his tests unbelievably easy, and hes the sweetest professor ever! Love him.

LOVE this guy!! One of the BEST teachers I've taken. His classes are easy because he TEACHES them well. He teaches you what you need to know and doesn't bog it down w/ confusing nonsense. I am so happy to not have had my time wasted. Wish there were more Blums!!!

He has a reputation for being easy and his class fills up fast, forget trying to crash. His exams aren't too difficult. He allows you a cheat sheet. He uses the iClicker so he knows if you're in class or not. You'll have homework due every week and in most cases it's good to have the current chapter and the next chapter's homework done.

He rules the classroom with a big stick and is constantly whacking things around to keep people awake and paying attention, so be warned. He wasn’t much help during office hours since tens of students are lined up and he treats it like a drive thru. Exams and quizzes have some curve balls. 4 points away from an A- and he wouldn’t budge. Overall OK

I had to retake this class because i didn't pass prior semester i took Blums class and received a B! very helpful and makes sure everyone is following along and understands the material before moving on. We need more teachers like him! and he's kind of funny!

Prof. Blum is a really cool teacher! He explains things very well, but his tests are a little hard... You need the book, powerpoints, and definitely do the homework, this will help you a LOT! He is sometimes funny and really likes that his students pay attention, you'll see why! Definitely recommend him, I've heard horrors about other Fin. teachers

Blum is an awesome guy who truly cares for the students. He may not drill some of the concepts in your head like other 323 professors but if you are a Finance major you should be paying attention and learning them anyway. Some of the most straight forward and easy tests ever.

Blum is one of the best teachers I have ever had! Uses a stick to whack the board during class, it's hilarious! Helpful online HW, 4tests NOT cumulative, gives study guide and lets you use 1page of notes front and back. MUST attend class, uses the iclicker2. I wish he taught more FIN classes!

He's funny and his tests are clear but he threw a curve ball at us during the final. Maybe he did it because too many people had good grades. But everyone was freaking out at the end of the final. Overall a great class

Very easy exams, straightforward with no surprises. Minimal homework. Concentrates on only the important parts without worrying about equations, etc., allows notes for tests. Recommend if you just need to get the class out of the way, do not recommend if FIN is your major. Very narrow allowance for an A, can only lose a few points. No extra credit.

Easy and Straightforward. Very easy A-, but not an easy A (an A is a 97 or better). He goes off on tangents a lot during class and it can get annoying. Just do homework, make a good cheat sheet and youll be fine. Also-if you have a TI83 dont buy a financial calculator!It is so much easier for the problems compared to the one he advertises in class.

Easy A. attend class just for clicker points. Study guide does everything for you. Tests are exactly like study guide. Hard to get a stable A because you basically have to have a 97%. Do-able but that requires caring a little. Barely tried and got an A-. If i cared i bet an A would have been do-able.

As stated before, this class is a very easy A-. However if you are going for an A, it is no cake walk. To get a solid A which is 97%, you need to study like you would very any other class. The difference between an A and an A- is the little material you would only know by reading and reviewing thoroughly.

LOVE professor blum, so cute!! Class is important to attend because of clicker questions but it goes by fast. Test are totally aceable with a notecard. First class ive taken where he makes A+ review totally off limits and I wouldnt even go if i could because he is so incredibly helpful himself.

Nice, enthusiastic, funny, and has a lot of experience in the subject field. Whether your a finance major or not, take him for this class as the other professors are unbearable. Go to class, do the reading, do the hw, study a little bit and you'll be more than fine. Blum isn't really concerned with all the academic nonsense, this man loves finance.

He has this pointer thing that he HITS the board with when he wants you to pay attention to something... So annoying. But other than that, really nice guy, good teacher, tests are SUPER easy (make a good note card), & do the hw (you have 3 chances and it gives you the answer if you get it wrong). TAKE HIM! Easy A- for VERY, VERY little effort!

This is a very very easy A- class but not easy A, since 98% is an A. He is a really nice guy who care but doesn't really teach much. HW is a joke and tests are easy since he tells what he will ask (every test has 1 or 2 questions that are tricky). Overall I'd pick him over any other finance professor.

Awesome professor! Very knowledgable, straight forward, funny, and helpful! Gives great exam reviews. Homework is through CONNECT. Exam reviews are a direct reflection of the exam. Make sure you study everything on the review. Show up for clicker points every day, they help you in the end. TAKE HIM!

Best option for non finance majors. It is an very easy B grade class. Small room for error when it comes to getting an A. I do warn you that his class is going to change due to SDSU standardizing the FIN 323 section, but overall take him anyway.

I think he is the best professor at SDSU. He really cares about his student. Easy A-, but you can only miss like 1 question on each exam to get an A. Take him even if the school make the class harder. Also, he is very funny and kind.

He is by far THE BEST professor I met. I was hesitating on posting a review because to be honest, if you're in business EVERYBODY knows that Blum is THE ONE!

His lectures include EVERYTHING you need to know. The lectures are kind of boring but he keeps everyone awake by waking that stupid pointer stick on the whiteboard when there is something really important on the slide. Homework was super easy. Tests are EXACTLY like the review sheets. Make a good note card. Easy A-. So glad I took Fin 323 with him

Blum is one of the nicest teachers I've had at SDSU. He cares about his students getting good grades and makes his class very clear. Tests are easy if you go to the labs before class, where he basically gives you all the problems that will be on the test. Only thing, the labs are at 7:15 am because he usually teaches at 8am, But definitely worth it

Its a pretty simple class with hw, clicker quizzes and exams that your allowed note sheets on. Only downside is its hard to get an A because of the point scale

Easy class to pass. If you can do the homework, you should be fine. Gives a "study guide" for tests that you have to fill out. Clicker points can be the difference between letter grades (i.e. an A- or a B+).

Do Homework. Attend lab for review of homework problems. Put everything he has on the study guides and you should do fine.

He's great and turns a boring subject into an ok class. It's a very easy pass, so there is a bell curve already set in stone. An A is a 97%, so if you want a solid A then you might want to look elsewhere. The tests aren't hard, but there's only 25 questions. But he allows cheat sheets on tests and quizzes.

Take him!!! He provides an early lab before class and he basically gives you the answers to the HW and study guide when it comes time for the tests. He is so nice and helpful and definitely knows his stuff! I learned so much after taking his class.

Look NO further! Blum is highly recommended. I was a dance major, switched 2 business, & took HIS Fin 323. I passed it, thanks to him! He simplifies everything! Buy a clicker for easy in-class quizzes, use learnsmart online, and bring 1 page notes 2 each exam. Go to lab! Put effort and ask questions. You'll pass easily, regardless of your major!

Blum is the best Finance professor out there. The only downside is the 8am lecture with the 7am lab. Its brutal. He also has a loud not so pleasant voice thats difficult to hear in the morning, especially talking about finance. Blum is super nice, helps you in office hours, holds lab outside of class just to be nice, and wants everyone to pass!

I would definitely take this class again! All you need to do is do the hw, go to class, read the text (which is very easy to understand), and look over his study guide which is VERY similar to the test and you could get at least an A-. Could've gotten an A if I put a little more effort

If you're not a Finance major - take his class. It's huge (400 ppl) and it's hard to study if you're not in the front rows but lectures are very clear, tests and quizzes are straightforward. Go to the labs and do the homework and you should be able to get a good grade (although A is 97%..)

He's a great professor. You have quizzes after every lecture but he gives you hints and basically tells you where the questions are coming from. The test are not too hard because he gives clear study guides. LABS ARE REALLY HELPFUL. I would suggest to go to every single one. He is very flexible. He gives two extra credit opportunities.

Very knowledgable about finance and wants students to succeed. Tests are easy, except for stock calculations. Study stock problems in lecture slides and you can ace the class.

He is one of my favorite professors! He does a great job at making finance an easy subject to understand. The labs are extremely helpful and definitely worth going to. As long as you go to labs and attend class, it is very easy to receive a good grade. I would definitely suggest taking his class.

Professor Blum is the only one who earns his money in business department, Seriously! He explains BA 323 better than any other teacher at SDSU. This guy is like Jesus! I love you Mr. Blum.

The best professor I've ever had. He teaches exactly what is on the exams. He has labs before class if you need extra help, I only went for the one before the final. Test are not that difficult. You get 1 page of notes for all the exams, I suggest you have the hw problems on it for reference.

this was my favorite class of the semester. 8ams are hard, and the 7am lab is brutal but it's so worth it. blum made me want to major/minor in finance - i wish he taught more classes. the best professor i've had the pleasure of meeting thus far! i will miss his lectures. 3 exams, cumulative final, homework, and clicker questions - not bad at all!

If you have to take BA323, this is the guy to take it with. Blum's lectures are straight and to the point, his exams have no "trick" questions, and there is a fair amount of hw. He's also pretty hilarious. Go to class (and the "labs"), study, do the hw, and you'll pass. Best 8am class I've ever had to take.

Great professor and easy class. Just don't skip any quiz or HW and you should be fine to get a good grade. No need for A+ review! again go to his lab, review the HW, take good notes, and you should be able to get at least a B+

Has a tendency to go off topic and repeat the same things on multiple occasions, but it does help you to remember things. Has iClicker quizzes for each chapter, but will sometimes give you all the answers. You have a page of notes for each exam, but don't rely on it too much unless you make it really detailed.

The CUTEST old man ever. Lets you have a cheatsheet for every test. Just put formulas on there and you'll pass. I passed the class with an A. Make sure youre there for every clicker quiz. He has funny stories and he really cares for his students. He got an applause on the last day of class cause thats how great of a professor he is. Take him!!

The best teacher I will ever have, hands down. Great teacher and great person. He is so smart and really knows what he is teaching. He cares about his students and makes the class so enjoyable. You will regret not taking his class, I can assure you of that. Blum for President.

Gives some extra credit. He holds lab at 7 am but I went and it is very helpful for tests and hw. He cares about his students and wants them all to do well. Blum's a pretty cool professor. Tests weren't hard especially if you understand the material and have a good page of notes. Make sure to do all of the homework and learnsmart assignments, as well as go to class for free clicker points that will help your grade in the end. If you like math, you can probably pass this class with minimal effort.

Take Blum, he is straight forward with what will be in the exams. He explains every slide perfectly making it easier for you to review them. I suggest taking notes on the slides as well to help review later.

Blum is the best professor I've had at SDSU! I talked to him several times (I had a legitimate excuse other then I'm an 'A' student ) and he was clear on the work I had to do to. I sat in one of his other classes and his advice was instrumental in getting my new job. He puts things in a way that helped me understand Fin (I'm A math major)

He's the best Finance teacher on campus. He really cares and doesn't make tests impossible. He gives labs before class to teach problems. The labs are optional but they are definitely necessary.

This class was easy. He pretty much gives away all the questions on the exam, so you know exactly what to study. He his really nice too, and cares about the students. Just study before exams and learn the material, you get a cheat sheet too so its not really time consuming. I thought BA323 was going to be hard but I was really wrong. Choose him.

Class was really easy. His lectures are the same as the textbook. He would give quizzes on definitions, and his tests are based on definition too. You definitely learn quality material.

Best professor for BA 323. You have to go to class for I-clicker points but the class overall is very easy. There are easy homework and quizzes every week and he allows a sheet during exams. Take him if you want a good grade.

Good job at teaching students at what they need to know. Blum has early morning sessions before class to help go over similar type homework problems. What more could you ask for a Professor and tutor package deal. Exams are decent and not to far out into the weeds. Does not curve test scores. Go to class for icliker pts. Hw q's are decent.
