the notes are the power point slides that he uses in class (6 slides in 1 page) he literally reads the slides. his slides are in point form so if you don't go to his lectures or read the textbook, you will have a hard time understanding them. He knows the stuff, but he's just not a good teacher. self-discipline is necessary.

Lectures are very heavy as Dr. Connor reads directly off of slides the whole time and it is a lot of information and new words to process. However when he uses analogies and stories it is helpful! He is very friendly in office hours and ready to meet up and help. Wish we were graded on more than midterms and the final exam though.

The course itself covered a lot of material. Stephens lectures were just the text book in bullet points. Failing one test could be detrimental to your grade. Hard to even get a credit for this class. Definition based, few pictures to work off of. You basically have to learn everything yourself. Oh & no office hours. Don't take if you don't have to.

He was the only professor left on my course selection and I heard about the reviews of him, but I chose him anyways. The textbook was never used in class and his lectures are just him summarizing the material. He goes really fast in his lectures and bases off your mark from the 2 lecture midterms. Only pick him if you can self-study.

Took his class recently (Fall 2016) and found him ok. His lecture notes are very messy and unorganized BUT you can still pass with just reading his notes but again be prepared to read the textbook. His exams are composed of M/C, short answers and one long question (any process learnt in lecture). He is very funny and a nice guy he will help you!

Stephen is an awesome teacher IMO. However, everyone has their own needs when it comes to learning. Stephen explains the content of the course like a story, and his powerpoint and notes cover the information explained in class with great detail. His assessments are plain & simple, no tricks up his sleeve. Everything you learn in class is fair game!

Stephen had extremely boring and dry lectures and his monotonous voice didn't help. Does not tell you anything about the 2 midterms or final and does not go over them after. Midterm class avgs were 58% and 55%. I had a full class and by the end of the semester there was only half of the class left, most doing poorly. Lazy prof avoid at all costs!!
