Very nice prof. Wants every one to do well. I like his point of view on every race has it's good time and it's bad times...no race bashing, and he tries to make the matterial intresting.

He's a nice guy but the class is pretty boring if you ask me. He kind of jumped around and wasn't that organized. He takes the notes he says in class (just orally) and puts them word for word on the test, so you have to go to class.

Really nice guy. Tries to make you succeed. Classes get a little boring though. Make sure you hold on to all of your papers and quizzes to turn in at the end of the semester for grading!

The teacher was alright. He's a pretty decent guy and seems to genuinely care about his students, but his lectures are fairly boring, but you should attend since his lectures do relate directly to the tests.

He cares about the Native American history and preservation. It's not a white bashing class like someone said before. It looks at history so we don't repeat the bad. Easy tests if you read the books, there are some tricky questions, so be prepared.

Very nice, but class is quite random. Lecture notes he provides are pointless and not understandable. Tests are very wordy and long, but he tries to help the students get good grades. Either your like the class or you don't. I thought it was interesting despite being quite boring at times.

Dr. Crow is a v. neat guy. Even though I took a lecture class of more than 100, he made the space feel very cozy & good. He is a very kind person &a lot of people took advantage of that, talking during lecture and packing up ten or fifteen minutes early which really irked me. He's a great prof!

Crow is a very nice teacher. He is willing to help his students out at any time. You can tell he loves what he teaches. His notes are not helpful, and the test are sorta hard. He reads all day what you are supposed to read at home. He wants his students to do well. Excellent teacher!

This guy is a great prof. He is very down to earth and you can really understand the point he is trying to get across. He seems harsh at first, but he made his curve huge on the test and offered extra credit!

Dont listen to anything bad about this guy he's awesome. 3 essays (3-4 pg) & 1 research paper(5-7 pg) due. No tests, no quizzes. Extremely passionate about his job. Doesnt grade on content, grades on ability and effort. Wish there were more teachers like this guy. Boring at times, but worth the A.

Decript. of him: nice/friendly, passionate, he's ur average person (not"that"stuck up proff) Descript of class: overwhelming at first, v. easy, v. random, "reading time" (rds stories to you), tests are long winded and drawn out but majorly curved. I'd suggest this class to boost your GPA ;P

This professor is so awesome. Very down to Earth and explains everything so the students understand. The tests are long, but he curves them drastically. He's so passionate about what he teaches and makes it even more interesting. Take his classes, you won't be disappointed.

This guy is really cool. Easy class, except your grade goes down if you skip and sometimes he'd just read what you were supposed to be reading at home, so it was like, why am I here? But overall, I enjoyed it most days, except I get the idea he thinks his tests are easy...

Crow is one of the nicest and most helpful profs ever, and even though parts of the class seem like 10th grade English, hes still a good prof. If you can write at all, an A is no problem. I pulled all of my essays outta my ass the night before they were due and aced them all.

This prof. is very passionate about his teachings. Lectures can get boring, but he means well and wants his students to do good. If you attend class and respect him, he will respect you. It can be overwhelming at first, but it calms down and you'll be fine. Tests are curved hard core..very nice!

Easy as cake. Just attend class (and find some way to kill time doing so) and take the exams. Material is both interesting and easy. Recommended to everyone.

Steve is the coolest. I would recommend anyone to take his classes. As long as you attend and do the work, you should have no problem. However, if you skip class, plan on a deduction. And, if your papers have grammatical issues, be prepared to be told you should visit the writing center.

His views on race relations gave me hope for the future of humanity. He speeks from personal experiance, and has a kind easy going manner. Please take one of your MGM classes with him, he will change your outlook on the world for the better.

very interesting, cool guy, and the material chosen was great. this would have been a much better class if it were not taught in an auditorium where you could get some student/teacher interaction, because dr crow has a lot to say. not the best environment for really getting into the material, but no fault of the teacher.

Dr. Crow is an excellent instructor. He is very passionate about his subject and cares equaly about his students. He will bend over backwards to help if you ask him. Dr. Crow is one of the most caring professors I have ever had. Try to get him if you can.

Crow Is a good teacher- just keep up with the readings. He drops your lowest exam score, and you only take 3. It isnt a cummulitive final, so that is good too. Take him if you have a chance.

Yes, it was easy. Yes, it was clear. However, I'm not sure that's the point. Doesn't it seem odd that no one in the class had to speak for an entire semester? Nor was it encouraged? I was so frustrated; All this great work by native authors, but nobody seemd to care. We sat there like boulders...

Very easy, Very boring-poetry workshop. All you needed was 3 entries for discussion and a total of 15-20 poems at the end of the semester...not alot of work- can you tell? Go to class, enter your poems and portfolio and you'll have your A.

this pro is very easy, all you have to do is read the books but most of the time he goes through the books page by page. He is very understanding and open minded. Class is very interesting and i recommend that you take it with him. i wish i would have taking English 191 with him.

This professor was very unprofessional. Through out the class he complained about not having enough time to teach us but would then sound off on what ever he felt like talking about that day. Most in class assignments we had to do 2 or 3 times not because they ran long but because he forgot we had already done them. I would not take a class w/him.

Dr. Crow was knowledgeable and perceptive. I had some medical troubles during the semester and he was very accommodating. As for the work-- read the assigned work and you'll be fine. Tests-- pretty easy, very fair. He offers XC.

Very nice guy, very reasonable with grading assignments and papers. Tends to be a little boring in lecture, and goes off on long tangents. But he is very laid back and ready to help students. If you do your work, you will be fine.

Crow is a nice, laid-back guy. As long as you attend class and read your assigned book/poems/short stories you should have no problem passing this class. Taking notes helps a lot too. I learned a lot from this class. Highly Recommended.

Great class and great professor. The reading assignments are pretty light, as long as you do the readings and take a few notes in class and during movies you will do well on the tests. I highly recommend this class.

be prepared to fall asleep...he doesn't like of goofing around, i think i got moved twice and he complained to our principal about our class (it was over ITV). He's an easy teacher, but nothing too exciting ever happens in his class, and his humor is extremely dry. His long ponytail always threw off my concentration during class

He is new to teaching Indian Lit. as an MGM and it shows. Comes rather unprepared and seems to go off the cuff. He's laid back and likes to express his opinion a lot, as if we can't think for ourselves. He's ultra nice and very understanding. 3 exams and extra credit is all there is. It's not very clear what will be on tests.

"Doc" is GREAT!! His students are treated like living human beings and not just a ID number. (we ALL know the feeling of being just a number) Take his Engl-215 class, you'll end up learning more than the books can teach you!

Professor Crow is a very caring and knowledgable guy who treats all his students with respect and kindness. I really enjoyed this class and learned a lot about American Indians through the readings and videos. The book Red Earth is exceptional as is the class. Study for the tests and do the extra credit for a guaranteed good grade!

Very boring class. He is a nice guy though. You can pretty much do anything for extra credit. His grading scale is PHENOMONAL!!! If you want an easy A i would highly recommend him... just be prepared to fall asleep!

I took Dr.Crow's poetry class and it was pretty boring. BUT he is the nicest man ever! He cares so much about the students and is so understanding about everything! I am even going to take another class with him in the fall. Great guy! Take this class if you need to!! It's nice to know that a professor at SCSU actually cares about the students!

His classes are not difficult and as long as you are taking part in the readings you should do alright. Easily one of the best teachers I have ever had. He is so laid back and gets off topic easily, but it's always interesting. Very understanding to your schedule. Grading scale is very nice, 85% and up is A.

Crow is by far my favorite professor at SCSU He loves what he does, and he genuinely likes to help his students. If you have any problems do not be afraid to approach him, he will help you out wherever possible. He's more of a mentor than a professor and tries to sneak life lessons into his course material GREAT MGM class!

One of my favorite professors yet. Professional writing has been my world for over 20 yrs so the class was a breeze for me. Yet, I still learned alot. He is absolutely serious about his subject and will do what ever it takes to see you succeed. He doesn't like grading systems per se' but as long as you improve with each essay you will do fine.

Took him for Native American Lit this summer--what a waste of my time and money! He is a terrible instructor and spent too much time alternately getting angry and then apologizing. Don't take this if you expect it to be a "true" lit class because you will be sorely disappointed.

Took his poetry class, just awesome. This guy seemed stoned out of his mind every day and would let us go an hour early and tell us to go play outside. If you engage yourself in the discussions and actually write poems to share, you will have a blast. Grading is almost nonexistent, this class was more like hanging out with cool ppl for an hour.

The world needs more professors like this guy. Loves to teach and loves his students. Keeps lectures interesting and is clear with instructions. Take any class you can with him. Such an amazing and inspirational man and SCSU is so lucky to have him. One of the best teachers I have ever had. Tends to ramble, but always interesting. TAKE HIS CLASSES!

Professor Crow, or Doc as he likes to be called, is awesome. Down to earth guy. Really gives you a lot of insight into the world of poetry. Just follow his assignments and you are destined to get at least an A-
