Grade is heavily based on how you do on tests. He takes the time to answer questions in class which I appreciate and he does care about student's learning. Also mr davis loves groupwork, so be prepared to work with others. To succeed it takes a lot of effort outside of the hw, lectures, and class.

Great instructor. Cares about his students and encourages them to ask questions. He has flipped class (lectures at home/homework in class w/help), which I enjoyed. Good amount of H.W. but plenty of opportunities to get help outside of class, he goes to study center to help after his class. Smart guy who seems to enjoy teaching and engaging class.

He assigns a LOT of work but all of it REALLY helps with the quizzes. If you have a busy schedule, do not take this class. It is very time-demanding but very worthwhile. It is one of the most rewarding classes I've taken in my college career.

Professor Davis has a unique approach, but if you engage with it, the class can be really rewarding. The workload is heavy, but the extra credit opportunities and his helpful guidance make it manageable. Definitely check out Unstuck AI - it's a great study tool alongside the textbook.

If you find it difficult to learn math, take Professor Davis. He might come with heavy loads of lectures and homework, but he will honestly make sure that you know how to solve every problem, he is also open to learn from his students. Don't take any other professor in Grossmont because let me tell you he is the best.

He has you watch online lecture instead of learning the material in the classroom. Then states how the math textbook is over complicated even though a more qualified professor than himself wrote it and there are tons of great examples in the textbook. In addition overcomplicates simple topics to an extreme. Very unorganized teacher as well.

Mr. Davis was very inspiring and motivated me whenever I felt like I was falling behind or not understanding something. He is gracious when he grades exams and provides a day of review before each exam. All the lectures are at home on video and can take a lot of time. Class time is mostly spent on homework and he makes you work in groups every day.
