Good Prefessor; gets involved in students education; very helpful
he's a great teacher and makes chemsitry really easy to understand
Really helpful! Always answers questions through e-mail quickly, and holds help sessions every week. Explains lecture material in an easy to understand way.
This guy is great. His help sessions are very useful, and he is always there to answer your questions whether they be through email or during his office hours. I would definately recomend him!!
great helpful all the time
Don't freak out if you take this class. He tries to scare you off during the first two weeks. He'll take as long as it takes to explain stuff and make sure everyone understands.
He will seem intimidating the first few days, but hes a great lecturer. He is really a smart guy, and a great teacher. His class is tough but he will help you if you really want a good grade.
He is an excellent teacher and is so good about making sure you understand what he is teaching. If you ever need help he is always more than willing to take time for you. Super nice guy!!
He is an awesome teacher, and he will make sure that you understand everything if you ask him. The help sessions are a GREAT idea to go to b/c he will walk you through the problem sets. The class is accelerated, but if you make sure you understand the material, the tests are fine. Very smart guy.
Very tough at the beginning for those about physical chemistry but it would be much easier for the other materials. Exams are tough and you must go through the whole text book to get a good grade. NOt many people can do so. I can't between whoelse can teach this class better than him.
AWESOME PROF! I failed this class last semester with a different prof because nothing was explained. Drucker cleared everything up. He's extremely clear in lecture and ties in the lab material. If it's needed, he'll slow down on a topic to make sure everyone understands. Take Drucker for any chem class you can!!
Considering the rigorous course material, he explains everything in a way that helps those who don't understand while still keeping a good pace. Very laid-back and reasonable.
Excellent professor! He's very good at explaining difficult concepts & making them easy to understand-humorous too. Always willing to help & doesn't make u feel stupid-he welcomes questions during lecture&lab. The material in this course would probably be really confusing if taught by anyone else-just listen, do the readings, & get help if needed :)
GREAT GREAT PROF! I truly enjoyed his class everyday! Which is good cause the class itself is extremely rigorous! 6crs is a huge class but he really makes it all clear! I finished the class with a great fundamental understanding of chemistry! TAKE HIM!
AWESOME, GREAT, AMAZING! Some of the words i would use to describe this guy. He made this class seem so easy and i think the entire class just absorbed the material like a sponge. It is quite clear he loves his job and loves teaching, actualy TEACHING! I can't wait to take him for physical chem!
Drucker is an amazing professor. CHEM 115 is a class that covers a lot of material in very little time, but Drucker still manages to explain everything perfectly. He also can be a very funny guy in some of his lectures. I highly recommend him.
Drucker can be slightly intimidating at the beginning of the term, but after the first week or so he's much more cool and relaxed. His class is quite manageable if you just come to lecture and do the problem sets--they help a lot with the exams. Lab reports are easy. I got an A- (would have been an A had I not run out of time on a few of the exams)
probably my favorite teacher here. definitely one of the most helpful teachers i have encountered. he is hilarious and i would take one of his classes again in a heartbeat.
I am a student in his first Chem 103 course ever and he has made it fun and interesting, even for people like me who aren't big chem fans. =) i actually look forward to his lectures, how many college students can say that?
I also am in his first ever 103 section. Although I feel like he goes into way too much detail, he is an awesome professor. He is willing to do whatever to make you understand the material. If you email him a question he will respond. He tries to put humor in every lecture. The work he gives is just the right amount.
Been really inspirational and has made me really interested in chemistry. Actually cares and knows your name in a massive lecture hall. Always willing to help and answers questions by email almost immediately. favorite professor hands down, and it was his 1st time for chem 103. Laid back and makes chem interesting.
Druck is a cheesy professor. I am in his first chem 103 class and it is boring as hell. He responds fast to your emails but in class he expects you to know everything. Take someone else.
Professor Drucker is my favorite! He's very clear in his lectures and is also extremely helpful when questions are asked. Even has extra office hours to help out. Amazing prof. I would definitely take him again.
Great professor, makes class interesting and entertaining. Definitely take him if you have to take chem
Dr. Drucker is a really good professor. I struggle with math, and this class was especially challenging for me. Drucker was great about answering email questions promptly and meeting with me outside of class. He knows chemistry is tough for some, and does everything he can to help his students "get it." I'd take him again in a heartbeat.
He's a great professor. Chem isn't always an easy subject but he tries to make it as fun and as clear as possible. He's always available to help outside of class which is great. Don't really need to read the textbook just show up to class. Would definitely take him again.
Prof. Drucker is top-line. He's very clear when it comes to describing the material in lecture. He loves to answer questions. Drucker's assignments and tests are straightforward and lucid. He makes sure you understand chemistry. I would love to take another class with him.
VERY good teacher. I am majoring in Nursing and was very worried about having to take this class but he was an excellent professor. He is extremely helpful, loves answering questions, and has straightforward tests and notes. Just put the time in to ask him questions and do the readings (very few) and attend class and you should do very well!
Stephen Drucker is definitely one of my favorite teachers I've ever had. His class isn't easy, but the proffesor is very engaging and helpful. He understands that not everyone has an easy time with Chemistry and takes the time to help and clearly explain all the concepts in his class. Little reading, just enough to provide some background.
Chemistry is not my strong point, so I am soo glad I got Dr. Drucker as my professor! He's always willing to help you if you have any questions in the lecture or problem sets. He also lets you use your lab manual and any notes you have on the lab practicle. If you ask he will basically walk you through what to do step, by step! Take him!
TAKE DR D!!!! he is seriously the most amazing teacher i have ever had! he is really willing to help and answers you emails within hours! i took AP chem last year and ididnt do very well but Dr D makes chemistry really easy! Also, he does not test you on anything that he doesnt cover in class so it is so perfect!
I took this class with another professor previously & got a D-, but I retook it with Dr. D & got a B! He makes sure that you understand & although weekly homework sucks, it really does help come test time. Let's face it, we are never going to do example problems unless they're being graded!
Excellent professor! Chemistry in college was much more difficult for me than it was in high school, but he was very helpful in helping me with the homework problems, understanding the concepts, and preparing me for the exams. He's a little odd, but I would definitely recommend you take him!
Excellent Professor! ALWAYS helps you when you ask for it --usually will give you the correct answer for homework problems if you at least go in for help. Exams weren't too bad, he gives points for trying, even if it's wrong. Very into what he teaches. Overall an awesome professor!
BEST TEACHER ON CAMPUS. Had him for 103 and quant and if i'm lucky i'll get him for p chem. It's hard to find a professor who is brilliant and can teach but drucker has it all. Could not ask for a better teacher.
AWESOME PROFESSOR! Dr. Drucker is a great professor who makes chemistry fun and interesting. He does great demonstrations in class and he keeps the class fun. He is also always happy to help and he will make time to help you outside of class. Take him if u can! :)
great guy. could not ask for a better prof. makes everything very easy to understand
Such a nice guy. Pretty understanding and flexible. One of the best professors I've ever had.
He gives his tests based mostly on his lectures, and is super helpful in lab. Always answers your questions thoroughly. Definitely take 103 or 213 with him if you can!
Great Prof! He is SUPER helpful and likes to make sure your understanding the material. Lectures can get a little repetitive, but it makes the content clear. DEF ask him for help whenever. TAKE HIM!
He was really good. He sometimes went on a little too much about picky things that were most likely learned in high school chemistry, though. He was really helpful and available if you had questions out of class.
Best professor I've had so far! So clear an helpful. You will learn a lot and you will RETAIN a lot, which is the best part! If you can take him, DO IT! :)
I would say the class is more frustrating than it is difficult, but Dr. D relieves that a lot. He's always willing to help, like literally. He even had office hours on a Sunday! Great professor.
Very Easy to understand and willing to help when you need it.
Lecture can be always confusing and not be found in the textbook. exam can be pretty easy if you study well on your own. unhelpful notes from lecture. Pretty funny guy and can make good jokes.
Professor Drucker is super helpful. During lecture, he likes to get off topic slightly but he knows he has a tendency to do so, so he digresses and makes a joke a moves on. His tests aren't too hard as long as you study a moderate amount. While doing homework, you can email him pictures of your homework and he'll tell you what you're doing wrong.
Stephen is an excellent professor. He is more than willing to help and teaches in an effective manner. He made the class a lot easier than most chemistry professors would have. I highly recommend taking him.
Very helpful professor! Chem 104 is more math based and i suck at math! if you see him during his office hrs he is more than happy to help! Very quick at responding to questions via email! His lab can seem to drag, only complaint I really have! Definitely take Drucker :)
Dr. Drucker really is a great chemistry professor. He's always very clear on what you'll be tested on and even holds optional review sessions before exams. Lecture isn't mandatory, but he tests on lecture content and rarely uses the textbook, so it's best to attend. Only complaint is that labs can tend to drag on as he over-explains things.
He is really funny and knows how to relate with his students even in a big lecture. Even if you are in a challenging class he takes problems step by step and works everything out very thoroughly to make sure every student understands! Homework he assigns is a bit different in class, but is just challenging you and willing to help
He keeps the class fun. Super willing to help which is important for a chemistry lab. Makes sure you understand. If you do the labs right, you will get an A.
I would highly suggest having Drucker for a lab professor. He is very good at explaining instructions and is always willing to help his students.
This class was hard for me. But, with him, I was able to understand it. He personally held review sessions for every test and was very helpful speaking one on one in his office. During lectures, notes need to be taken but he is pretty clear in what he expects and is pretty funny. He uses props and tells funny stories. He is very funny. A great man.
Eight hours of this class a week is not fun. Lectures are extremely boring and drag on, but luckily the class is mostly lab based. But Prof. Drucker is a really great professor. He is not too tough, replies quick to emails and is very helpful. He does not give many exams, so your final grade is heavily based on lab reports (which are fairly easy).
This guy makes chemistry tolerable. I dread chemistry & even though I struggled with this class is was b/c of the subject definitely not the professor. If you go & ask him a question he's very good at explaining things in a different way for you to understand. He's also pretty fair with grading things. Bonus: He makes stupid jokes that are funny
Dr. Drucker is a fantastic prof! Is always willing to spend lots of time helping if you don't understand something and is a very funny prof. Weekly homework sets can be a bit challenging but he always will help if you ask. Definitely recommend!
Very nice and funny guy, don't be afraid to ask questions! Very approachable and tries to keep lectures interesting.
Great guy and probably the best professor you will get. He is super lenient and will work with you on anything. He is one of the few professors who likes it when people go to his office hours. The best thing overall is that you actually learn the material and have fun with him. TAKE HIM!!!!!
He is easily the best chem prof at UWEC. Take him for labs if possible. He is willing to help you understand questions in class and doesn't try to trick you. Takes awhile to explain directions in lab but he does it to help you and make sure you understand everything before you start. You wont get a better lab prof than him.
Show up to class. He is pretty funny and easy to understand.
He makes lecture super fun. I got by without reading anything from the textbook. We only have homework once a week.
I took chem my first year of college and ending up having to drop it and was nervous taking it again. However, he is an amazing professor and would recommend him to anyone! He likes to make sure you understand the material. He makes a lot fo jokes which lightens the class. GO TO THE WEEKLY OFFICE HOURS! Super helpful.
He is really nice and makes jokes. But he is really hard to follow during class. The tests are hard and he sometimes gives book readings. Easy to reach outside of class and responds to emails really fast!
Probably one of the kindest and funniest professors ever. Will take time out of his day to clearly explain the subject you are learning. Generous with grading.
He is super funny and very approachable, and will take time to explain anything you ask him. He is generous with grading, and an all around amazing professor. I highly recommend him.
Hadn't taken chem since sophomore year of high school and was in chem 105. He really helped me catch up on what I had forgotten and was great at explaining the material. There are weekly problem set assignments, but if you go to office hours you are in for an easy A.
Drucker was a great professor! If you go to his office hours you are almost guaranteed an A. He goes through every problem set question with you and he is good at preparing students for tests.
Steve is a fantastic professor, especially for chem, a typically difficult class. GO TO OFFICE HOURS!!! He gives all the answers for problem sets. He doesn't take attendance, but going to class is where you learn test material. Tests are reasonable. Study materials help. Problem sets are harder than the tests.
I loved Steve! He's so funny and knows what he's talking about. The class if very lecture heavy which is fine but you really need to take notes. Sometimes he'll give us a reading assignment but other times will write something himself for us to read so you never really need the textbook.
Steve was a great guy to listen to in lecture. He does go quickly sometimes and glosses over important things but if you ask, he's more than willing to explain again. The only grades in the class are from problem sets and the tests so if you aren't careful one assignment can tank your grade. But he is really easy to talk to and get help from.
Best chemistry professor at UWEC. He will always make time for you outside of class and will explain things until you get it! 10/10 would recommend!
Steve is AWESOME! He's a kind and caring teacher who's willing to work with you. He's really lenient and the class is very easy for a chem class. It's not mandatory but you should go to lectures because that's what he bases his tests on. GO TO OFFICE HOURS--he literally gives you the answers and the study guides are exactly the same as the tests.
This professor is so funny. His lectures are easy to listen to and I got an easy A in this class. Even though you may be tempted to skip his lecture, don't. I got an A because I took notes, paid attention, and went to tutoring. Every week he gives out a packet that's due the following week. I suggest going to the student chem tutors. VERY HELPFUL!
Great guy, great professor! Very understanding and relaxed. It's not hard to earn an A. He breaks down the material well in lectures and the practice problems he posts are directly related to his tests and quizzes so definitely use them to study. I would 100% recommend taking him if you can!
Steve is a very nice professor who cordially answers emails quickly; there aren't many chances for extra credit, but there are many lecture quizzes and problem sets to make up for that.
Steve made an online class fun! Take chem with him if you are able to!!!
We love Steve. Whatever class you have with him I am confident it will be the highlight of your chemistry-related degree. He is an excellent professor that is truly in touch with the students and Gen-Z culture. Admittedly in class you might not learn a TON (live by the skip every third class rule and you'll be fine), but he's hella fun.
Steve is my favorite professor currently at UW-Eau Claire. It's a shame I'm not a chemistry major. He cares about his students and understands the turmoil we're put through. He's very good at explaining things to the point to where a monkey could understand him. I found myself asking him for help in my OTHER chemistry classes because he's that good
A lot of professors aren't great teachers. Steve is. And he has a dry sense of humor. The pacing is nice and slow. He cares about teaching the "why" behind the content (in a way that a layperson can understand). Highly recommend!
Steve is a great professor! He always responds to emails/questions promptly and he always makes lectures so much fun. There hasn't been one lecture where he doesn't make the whole class laugh. He doesn't like to use the textbook so everything you need to know for the tests are in his lectures, so they are important. Highly recommend!
Steve is not only a professor but also a part-time comedian. He has great knowledge of the subject and teaches it in a clear way that is easy to learn. There is a post-lecture quiz (4-5 questions) most days which I think helps keep the information circulating in your brain after class. For anyone who struggles with chemistry, take Steve :)
Professor Drucker was great! He was very funny and made sure his class knew the material. The only problem was that he was always way behind what you would learn in the lab portion of the class. This made lab extremely difficult. Either way, he is still a great teacher and makes things easy to understand!
Had Steve for CHEM109 lab. Decided to bite the bullet and take an evening lab just because of Steve, 100% worth it. He is hilarious, super patient, and doesn't make you feel stupid. Had I stayed the entire lab to keep asking questions rather than finishing at my dorm, I could've ended with 100%. Great guy, highly recommend
He doesn't use slides or presentations to teach. It seemed he just wrote on the whiteboard whatever he thought was important. I had no idea what we were learning. He has a sense of humor and cares for students, but I do not recommend. especially for visual learners or if science isn't your strong suit.
Dr. Drucker was such a nice professor, he really cares about his students and is willing to help however he can. His prelab lectures were extremely long and rather repetitive though so if you have him at 8am be prepared to nearly fall asleep!
I absolutely love Steve. We had a homework assignment once a week that was pretty easy. He was great about answering questions. He truly cared about every single student and made sure to know them. The class was very lecture heavy and his tests were a little difficult. He did grade fairly easy however and gave out a lot of partial credit.
Drucker is great...if you already know the material before taking the class. It is a difficult switch from 105/106 and he is so smart I don't think he understands the lack of knowledge we had going into 109. He is very easy to get for office hours and willing to meat outside his times, please reach out to him, he will help you most likely. Very fun
Steve is an awesome professor, he's really easy going and funny. Yet the only issue is that he's almost too smart to be teaching a 100 level chem course, so he overestimates our chem abilities and it can be a bit confusing. However, he's really helpful with office hours and q&a's for each exam, and does his best to help us succeed.
Professor Drucker was extremely caring and provided great insight, especially one-on-one. That said, his lectures were pretty dry and repetitive. It was helpful to attend, but sometimes hard to get through. His tests and homework were covered in lecture, and textbook reading was extremely minimal. The expectations for this class were pretty low.
Stephen was great, but very lecture heavy (you HAVE to go to lecture as he does not post materials, or at least have someone send it to you, but even then he may say something important you may miss). Also make sure to do the homework (it highly effects your grade), do the readings and practice exams (those are super helpful)
Drucker is an awesome guy, just not always on top of his stuff. His explanation of things are hard to understand sometimes. He veers off topic a bit too. Overall he's great and I felt like I grasped CHEM 109 pretty well, but I also watched Khan Academy, so...
He was amazing - I'm a slower learner and I liked how direct he was with his teachings - I had him for my lab portion and would highly recommend him for lab especially. My only complaint was I wish he had more office hours available but is easy to connect with over email. He's also pretty funny.
Took Steve for my lab portion of chem 115. Steve is one of the kindest and best profs I've ever had. He is so funny, clear with his lessons, and truly cares. If you reach out to Steve or attend his office hours he will explain in-depth any questions you have. I would highly suggest taking him for lab to balance out the harder lecture portion.
Professor Drucker is caring and helpful, though his lectures can be dry. The work is manageable, and he's great in office hours. Using unstuck AI and the free textbook helped me succeed.
main sum of grade is exams. nice guy, knows his stuff, but kind of a boring lecturer. goes over the same topic multiple times. gives lots of examples problems. frequent issues/mistakes with homework, so make sure to check your email and that can be kind of frustrating. overall good
Solid dude, very chill, but you can also tell if he decided to he could flip on that hella estudious noggin he got up there and crank out up a cure for MS in like 20 minutes. Genuinely kinda concerned he's too smart for this place and its like when you put an elephant in a cage for too long and they go insane, the man needs his intellectual freedom
Steve is awesome. He is so kind and genuinely cares for his students. He's funny and makes lectures entertaining (even for an 8am). His exams are pretty simple, he also provides last year's exams to study with! Would definitely reccommend his class to anyone!!
He has to be one of my favorite professors I've had. I struggle with chemistry, but I actually understand what is going on when he teaches. He makes sure to explain it in a way that is understandable, not throw it on the board and move on like other professors. He is one of the few professors who say they want you to succeed and actually mean it
Steve changed my outlook on chemistry as a whole. I typically struggle in chem, but he goes over every detail of every concept to ensure it's being understood. I had his 8am lecture, and I always looked forward to it. He cares, communicates, and teaches perfectly. I hold him in the highest regard. Easily the best professor I've ever had.
Steve is one of the best professors I have encountered at UWEC. He incorporates his witty humor into the 8am lectures to keep students interested. He explains chemistry concepts thoroughly. He is easy to reach out to. His office hours are a good place to get to know Steve. Explaining gen chem is like breathing oxygen to him.
Overall a great professor!
Steve is an amazing person with a good sense of humor and a kind attitude but I hated his lectures. My lecture took place in Phillips 007 and he never used the microphone system so its extremely hard to hear him. Steve also has a unique way of explaining things, basically he completely un-teaches you the concept or confuses the hell out of you.
Very nice guy and answered questions any questions asked during lecture. He was sometimes unclear and jumped around the material a bit but got around to the point. Make sure you review material and watch videos he gives you! I barely used the textbook readings but will use textbook on homework.
Steve is a very smart and very funny professor but make sure to go to every class as Chem 109 is extremely hard! I barely passed but it was more of my own fault as I started to skip lectures towards the second half of the semester.
Mr. Drucker for the most part was knowledgeable but for a level 105 class his lecture material and teaching style was difficult to take in seeing he bounces around a lot in lecture.
