By far favourite prof in 1st year. Super nice guy, really into what he's teaching. Powerpoints are very easy to follow but print them out before class so you can listen to him as he says definitions out loud and they're not on notes. Come to class to understand, if you don't you'll be confused. Only need to study notes (only few text q's on exam)

Dr. Dumas is by far the best professor I have ever had. His assignments and exams are not always easy but he's so engaging that it's hard not to learn from him. A very fair person all around and is open to all types of discussions. If you put in an average amount of work, you'll do fine and you'll be happy to attend class as well.

Dumas is a great lecturer. He's funny and passionate. One of my favorite profs. However, the grades for this class are made up of 3 multiple choice exams. Many of the questions are taken from the textbook or are trivia. If you don't test well this class could be a struggle to get a good mark.

As a first year student I was actually DREADING going to class, this was the only class I looked forward to. If you read the chapters, take notes and study you'll be set. Dumas is a true gem, would take all his classes just to listen to his lectures. keeps class light, but makes sure we get everything we need but not overload . 10/10

Great. Easy tests. Most of the material on the tests comes directly from the Powerpoints. He's also super engaging and funny so the lecture is fun to go to. The textbook readings are annoying though but as long as you focus on the in class notes, it's extremely easy to get an A-. To get an A though, you'd have to read BOTH texts in detail.

He is the best prof I've had so far. He is so engaging and relatable and hilarious and makes the class so interesting and fun. The topics we learn about are organized and interesting. 10/10 would take one of his classes again

At first I loved going to Dumas lectures, then I realized just how easily distracted he could get. He would go off on tangeants about his own views and basically forget he was teaching sometimes. Really interesting and funny, but made going to class seem pointless. Read the text book, he says not to study it but tests are made from textbook info

Course has two midterms and a final, both midterms were of average difficulty and the final was the easiest one out of the five I took. Dumas is a funny, easygoing prof. Be sure to do the readings in the SIQ textbook.

He tells you to focus on the lectures and not to read the entire textbook, however, I found one must read the entire textbook to get all the small answers to questions that will be on the exam. Lectures are very clear. Pay attention to the objectives at the beginning of the slides as they help when preparing for tests. Also be sure to do the readings as there are questions about the chapters on the tests. Overall very easy. If you attend class he gives out hints to what will be on the final.

His lectures are super funny! Since it was an intro class there weren't too many tests and there were no papers or assignments. The way he conveyed the material helped me remember it and he always chatted with his students before class started, asking us how we're doing, what which classes we're taking, what we're studying etc...

His lectures make you want to show up to class. He is engaging with his students, and he helps out so that everyone can succeed if they put in the work. (Tip: Do the practice quizzes on D2L, most of the time the questions appear on tests) I will definitely be seeking out more classes taught by Dumas.

Favourite lecturer I've ever had. Seems like a great guy and always happy to help. Lectures are not required but are fun to go to as he makes them interesting and he's really funny. Not sure why people say that his lectures are not mandatory. He definitely gives lots of test hints and useful information during them, I would highly recommend going. Plus he is awesome to listen to. The only reason I don't give him a 5/5 is because his tests are tricky and specific - but not hard. Would highly recommend, he's the best.

Best professor at the university, HANDS DOWN! I would take any class of his, regardless of whether I needed it or not. Dumas is funny and amicable whilst also a great lecturer. I have never laughed as much as I did in his class. I would also recommend you attend each lecture as he gives great hints for exams and stories to help you remember!

Anybody who says Dumas has difficult tests has clearly not studied very thoroughly. Although his tests can be specific, he gives plenty of hints in lecture and the textbook questions are based primarily out of the society in question just take good textbook notes and know generally what the chapter is on and you will do great.

Steve is a gem, he made classes super amazing, and was super funny. Textbook readings are long and required to be read in detail for good marks. Tests all MC, and generally simple.

This has been my first class with Dr. Dumas and he is by far one of my favorite at UofC. His lectures are engaging and I can respect the jokes he throws into class to make it more fun to learn the material. He is always there to answer questions. I would say though that if you want to do well, attend class and read the textbook. A gem!

This class is not an easy A- you need to study hard to realistically get a B+/A-. You MUST go to class and write down everything he says because d2l slides are not enough. Exams are tough since there are TONS of textbook chapters you must read carefully on top of class material. The perk is that lectures are interesting and Steve makes class fun.

Dr Dumas made this class really interesting, and was very clear in his expectations for midterms and the final (which were noncumulative). If you read the assigned textbook chapters and go to class, it's super easy to do well. He gives out hints about the mts in class, and he puts some of the practice questions posted on D2L on the actual mts too.

I'm not even taking his classes and this guy is amazing. Uh on a whim I decided to sit in his classes and I genuinly learn alot and apply his lectures to my other courses. Seems like a great guy, incredibly intelligent, and super funny. I didn't think sociology was this interesting but man was I wrong. I beg you, take Dumas. You won't regret.

Awesome prof! Course grade is purely exam-based, which I liked. Be warned that the exams are more textbook-based than he suggests, but there's no need to go into great detail in the textbooks; just know the case studies generally. Lectures are entertaining and engaging, and course objectives very clearly guide studying!

He's a really good prof, but make sure you go to class because he goes over the definitions of things in class and if you don't go, you'll be confused. He only takes questions from the readings of SIQ but there are only a couple questions on that text, so you'll still do good even if you don't do the readings.

Steve is hilarious! As long as you show up and stay actively engaged, you'll pass! He tells you where to focus in the textbook as well which is awesome.

The lectures are not at all mandatory. He posts his lecture slides online and if you read the textbooks you can do well without going to the lectures. He is very entertaining and engaging. Purely test based but lots of reading. Overall loved the course.

Dumas is Hilarious ! his lectures are very interesting and the content is straightforward. the textbook is a must-have because he pulls questions from there, so you always do the required chapter readings for any midterm. you are only graded by 3 things which is the only downside .

This is my second class with steve after intro soci. He is really funny and always gives hint for exams, so I would say attendance is necessary in that sense. His tests are okay, but sometimes have really random things that I feel have no real significance. You need to read textbook to get an A.

Prof. Dumas is amazing! His lectures are so entertaining and I love how he makes his lectures feel like a conversation- not material to memorize. The way lectures are carried out makes them memorable and makes the class easy even though the material might not always be.

Although I can't say I always agree with his perspectives. Steve is a fabulous sociology professor, he's entertaining and keeps it simple, at least in Sociology 201. He has given essentially no homework, certainly nothing mandatory, and i'm graded on just 6 easy open book quizzes this semester! No final! No textbooks! Class should be an Easy A!!!

Steve was hilarious. His lectures were so interesting that I debated minoring in sociology. I was excited to go to his class because he was always so passionate about what he was teaching. Will definitely be taking another class with Steve. Two MC midterms and a final exam. All easy questions. Steve transferred to online very smoothly.

i only had him for online so idk what he's like in person but his class is so bless and easy we didn't have a final or a midterm. his tests are just based off his lecture videos and they aren't difficult.

His system in online learning is extremely simple and easy A. That doesn't apply for in person class but it would be an easy option. He gives exam questions during the lectures ;)

I had him online so I don't really know what he is like in person, however I enjoyed the way he presented material online and concepts were easy enough to grasp. He tells you what you should be expecting for a test and has a good sense of humor. I would definitely recommend :)

My experience with Dr. Dumas was over my expectations. This course (Fall 20) didn't need much work; watch lectures (they're short and very straight-forward), take notes and you'll easily get a good mark. No midterms or final, just 6 open book quizzes. Dumas is an awesome prof and person, he cracks jokes, adds music to videos and makes lectures fun!

Hands down the easiest class I took this term. Although his posting schedule was a bit random, he was always fair with his test questions and would adjust the quiz time frame if he posted lectures last minute. Overall a funny prof with great music taste who puts a lot of effort into making lecture videos entertaining!

Amazing instructor. I added a minor in Sociology after having him. His lectures are funny, informative, and just perfect. He cares about his students a lot and he works his best to make students' learning experience enjoyable and memorable. He will make you fall in love with Sociology and is the best prof at our uni. Dumas is a solid choice for SOCI. He is hilarious and puts a lot of work into his lectures. He is a little disorganized in posting lectures but otherwise pretty great. I switched from V. Haines to Dumas and the difference is huge. Dumas keeps it fun and interesting with MC weekly quizzes and no final. I would recommend taking the course with him.

I love Dumas more than any prof I have had. I'm not a sociology major, but I took 327 with him in the fall and had to get into 325 with him in winter. His lectures are very engaging, I found it really easy to stay interested unlike in other classes that are online. 10/10 would take a class with him again.

Best adaptation to online learning that I've seen from a prof. Lectures are edited (much like a YouTube video) and quite funny considering some of the subject matter. Really felt like he cares about what he's teaching and the students he's teaching.

Dr. Dumas is super funny and an incredibly engaging lecturer. His lectures were short and to the point, and the quizzes we had were super easy and followed lecture material closely. He's a gem, I highly recommend any class you can get with him. He cares about his students and giving us a good online experience.

His lectures were short and to the point which I found amazing because it didn't waste my time. Majority of the quiz content was from his lectures, so watching them got me great grades on the quizzes. Loved that there were 5 quizzes and that was it, relatively low work load but learned lots. Readings were helpful but not overly necessary

Take his class if you need an option. I enjoyed the class as it was an option, I would not have enjoyed if I was a sociology major. Unable to get a hold of him and there was very poor communication. His lectures were short and to the point. Content of the course was surface level, and I felt the same as high school sociology. GPA booster.

Took SOCI 201 with Dumas and his lectures were very funny. I found them to be engaging. Course consisted of 5 tests and you need to take detailed notes and pay attention to his lectures to do well. Overall, I found Dumas to be pretty good at teaching this course. Course was an easy A

His lectures are phenomenal! out of all profs at uofc he actually makes them engaging/funny and just very cool! he tries to fit in with students and make content relatable. Lectures are usually aren't super long and he tries to be funny and relate to his students. Usually takes a few days to reply to emails, but his tests are straightforward.

Professor Dumas is an absolute angel. During my four years of university, he is most certainly my favourite professor. His lectures are very fun, and a lot of effort goes into his videos. His classes are NOT boring; quite the opposite. You'll definitely have to read, but that's expected in a 300-level SOCI course. Dumas is the best.

Obviously an amazing professor. His lectures are clear and interesting, and he posts prerecorded lectures (which are the EXACT same as his in-person lectures) in-case you miss a class. There are two required textbooks for this class, but I didn't even buy them and still did good (there are only 1 or two questions based on the textbook).

I can't say enough positive things about Professor Dumas. First of all his lectures are HILARIOUS. He has a lot of fun teaching and you can tell. It makes learning more engaging. Classes usually consisted of 3 tests throughout the semester and were not too difficult. Definitely cares about his students. My favorite prof at U of C hands down.

Dumas makes lectures entertaining and exams are fairly written. Attending his lectures isn't mandatory but you'd be missing out on interesting conversations and content. Exam questions from the textbook were minimal as most questions came from lectures, practice exams, and videos. Excellent prof - would take again for sure.

dumas is absolutely hilarious. you can really tell he's very passionate about sociology and his teaching style is easy to understand and enjoyable. lecture pdfs are less than 10 slides long and prerecorded lecture videos are so entertaining to watch they're like YouTube videos. however, he isn't accessible at all outside of class

Dr. Dumas shows above and beyond passion for his class and strives to make sure his students understand the material to the best of their ability. Very straightforward testing, he even points out key topics in class that'll be important for exams. He makes each class enjoyable and makes sure to answer every question.

Reviews are right when they say it is evident that he is left-wing and does not have problems sharing that. I am right-wing, but it does not bother me. It isn't his job to coddle your feelings. People have opposing views, get over it. His tests are fair, with no surprises, and heavily based on lecture slides he posts on D2L. He's a good prof.

A great prof but his rants can get tedious at times. Tests are alright. Despite what other reviews say, he is not anti-religious nor derogatory to other beliefs. I cannot imagine being in a high level soci class and being surprised that some material is politically charged or that some hold a different view from you.

Dumas was such a great professor. Entertaining, understanding, and values debates and conversations during his lectures.

While some of the reviews are angry that he is opinionated - he does back everything up with research, examples and scientific data that proves his theories. He strives to help you understand the material in several ways, one of them being that he associates each topic covered with a story. The "rants" he goes on apply to what is being taught.

His lectures are informative and engaging. Sometimes he lets his own political beliefs derail the class momentarily which can be off-putting but irrelevant in the grand scheme of things as they have nothing to do with the content. Exams are stupid easy if you attend class and take notes in his lectures.

The class had me shook every single time with the kind of things Dumas would talk about. Entertaining but also had me wincing at times. He's a borderline stand-up comedian, not even gonna lie--- it kind of felt like he was delivering a bit each class. But in all seriousness, the class is insanely easy, he literally tells you what's on the exams.

Pretty funny and the course is pretty easy since I put in minimal effort. Only complaint is that he frequently brings up his political beliefs even when not relevant whatsoever. He is VERY Left-leaning and the opinion is not open to discussion. As a right-leaning person this was annoying but in the grand scheme of things didn't really matter.

Dumas is the goat. He is a straight-up comedian and I was actually able to remember mostly everything and not study a lot because he makes everything so engaging and exciting. I've taken two classes with him and he's been nothing but spectacular. I hope one day he becomes dean. UofC take notes and hire more profs like him.

Best prof I had this semester, he was very caring and his lectures were very interesting. There is a few questions from the textbook on each test but he gives lots of hints during class. Also, go in to check your exam if the grade is below 40 just in case, as the TA almost always messes a few of them up by marking by the wrong version

Professor Dumas is one of the best people I've met. I'm a science girl and took this class as an option, I highly recommend it! It's a great course option because it's exciting and it's easy to do well on the midterms. The midterms arent super focused on the textbook but I found the final was. Definitely try to read the chapters to do even better!

Professor Dumas creates a great class environment that is engaging and connects many of the classes subjects to real world current events. He also goes above and when I ran into a grading issue was extremely amiable in his replies and helped to get the issue sorted, even though from an outside perspective it seemed I was in the wrong.

He's a great lecturer. But a decent amount of test questions are based on textbook content, like little details. I would recommend reading the textbook prior to starting a certain topic so you absorb more information. His lectures were simple and so were most of the test questions.

Dumas is an engaging lecturer and his expectations are made very clear. Drops lots of hints about exam questions during class, so it's worth it to attend. He was hilarious and the lectures were super engaging too, he would go off on tangents sometimes but it was very clear what would be on the exams and what wouldn't. His D2L was full of good resources too, like lecture videos similar to his in-person lectures and practice exams. He was great!

Very accommodating professor (you could miss a midterm and have the weight transferred to the other exams) funny when lecturing, and overall is very enthusiastic. I would say sometimes he can go off on pretty extensive tangents which side tracks from things being tested on, so lectures aren't the most efficient. Still great all around though.

Made lectures interesting and was very approachable and nice. Made the class a lot more fun.

Funny & engaging professor. First couple weeks he would act like his opinions were the only right ones, but fortunately became more open to hearing students' POVs as the course went on. Tests are decent as long as you attend class & do the textbook readings. He tells us what will be on each test, though he has gotten topics mixed up a couple times.

He is a good professor, he tells you what is on his tests and the textbooks he uses are usually available online as well. He is engaging and you can tell he really likes what he does. I am looking forward to more classes with him in the future!

This prof is honestly a gem. People who give him bad ratings are just salty that they didn't put effort to study and review material. I never missed one of his classes because he made it so fun to come to class. I wish he was my teacher for every single soci class.

Really awesome and interesting prof! But his lectures cover content very slowly, he spends a lot of time grasping easy concepts. His quizzes are very fair though, and he posts a lot of material online, reading the textbook isn't super necessary to do well in the class.

This sociology class is the main reason why I didn't quit my first year. Dumas is a hilarious professor, and I could tell he cares a lot about his students (even though we had no lectures). This class is an easy GPA booster because it's a class you can relate to as most of the topics are interesting and most likely affect you.

Read the textbook man it's gonna save you. Sometimes he picks out the most obscure questions from the textbook.

Dr. Dumas was an incredible teacher and I was extremely grateful to have him for my first year at U of C. I was especially touched by his kindness and concern for students, he wants people to be comfortable in class, share their opinions, succeed and do well. Soci 327 had 2 midterms and a final, a combo of textbook material and lecture content.

(This is for SOCI303). Dumas is one of the best professors I've ever had. He provides clear notes and explain concepts thoroughly, doing so in an engaging and hilarious manner. He gives a lot of insight into more complex topics surrounding gender. His tests are very fair and covers both lecture and textbook content.

This is my second time with Dumas for sociology on purpose. I attended no lectures, only watched his pre-recorded ones online, and got a 96% on the first midterm. You could teach yourself the entire course online the day before the midterm and be fine. Midterm1 30% Mid2 30% Final 40%. Join a class discord to study together.

Absolute W prof, based. 100% recommended as option course

Grade is based on few items but they are pretty easy. The two textbook summaries make up 30% of the total grade and you're basically guaranteed 100% on them as long as you put in the effort. They also are super helpful for getting ready for the exams so basically free marks. Written exams are easy as long as you prepare and use course materials

Dumas is an amazing professor! Watch all the recordings and remember to take notes while watching - he includes several questions found in the videos but not found in the notes. Personally, I found the videos engaging and entertaining. A textbook is mandatory in this class, sometimes 25-50% of the tests are textbook based. No surprises on tests.

Easiest class of all time. Was graded on 5 25-question exams that were all open book with a 24-hour window. Lecture videos were really entertaining and clear, make sure you take notes on things he says outside of the slides as stuff like that usually appeared on tests. Material from the textbook was used a lot too, but Ctrl+F and you're good.

Absolutely amazing!!! I heard so much about him even before I got into uofc and I'm so glad I was able to get into this class. He makes every lecture interesting and makes the concepts easy to understand. He tries very hard to help us pass exams and the exams are super straightforward. Took 3 classes w him, BEST prof I've EVER had. Lectures are interesting and hilarious. Cares about his students, shows that he really enjoys teaching. Practice questions for exams- some end up on exams too! Readings are a lot so he gives notes + vids to help us. Lectures and vids- exactly the same, good for studying. Rounds up final grades!

AMAZING PROF. Easiest class, exams are to the point, gives some hints on what to look out for when studying, like a specific slide or page from the readings. His lectures are never boring, makes the material easy to grasp. Exams are a pretty even split for slides and readings, but favouring slides. Did like 10% of readings, still passed with a B-

Dumas is a great and engaging professor who makes the material interesting. However, his tests can be quite unfair, often focusing on small, nitpicky details that don't reflect the overall understanding of the course content.

dumas knows how to lecture in an engaging and fun way- you really do learn a lot from him. tests are easy for the most part although the textbook is necessary if you want an A or A+ on the exam (there are around 7 qs on each test that are only found in the textbook). even with that, id still recommend him. def one of the better profs in the school.

Best prof that I have had, he is so funny and kind. He cares about what he does and enjoys doing it. His class is graded by 3 exams but if you show up to classes you can do good on them. He incorporates real world issues into lecture to give better understandings of the content. I had an amazing time in class and will take his classes again.

I liked him, lectures felt easy compared to the tests, which were more difficult (and did have textbook questions) but I honestly just didn't study enough and that's my bad haha. He was funny and rewarded class participation and attendance

I love Dumas as a professor. He is very passionate about his work and keeps lectures interesting with his sense of humour. I really appreciate his video lectures. Final exam was challenging, but I could have prepared better. I truly think a class with him is worth it :)

Final exams and midterm questions don't reflect what he tells us is expected from students. Good luck taking his courses if you have a full course load because preparing for his exams needs to take priority. I study days in advance, do all the readings, and go to all the lectures, yet I still never feel satisfied leaving the examination room!

actually the chillest, funniest prof ever. he has like 2-3 exams and that's IT. the exams are really easy all based off the notes and maybe someee stuff from the textbook but nothing crazy. gpa booster for sure. didn't attend a single class but aced the exams.

He was very engaged with the class, and while the start of class yap session were time consuming, it made things more interesting. Some of the questions on tests would throw me off, so make sure you don't skimp out on the readings and things he'll mention in class apart from the slides. But all in all would recommend him as a teacher.

Prof. Dumas was a great professor, very entertaining and passionate! The workload was reasonable and his tests reflected what was taught in class. Although the final had a lot of assigned textbook readings, he gave out a summary of each reading that covered all we really needed to do well on the exam. He also dropped hints in class which was nice.

His lectures were always something I looked forward to, not only was the content interesting but his delivery was hilarious and memorable. The tests were very straightforward and he would often make it clear that certain concepts were on the tests.

Professor Dumas gives incredible lectures! So entertaining to listen to, and he makes the course content more interesting. About five questions on each test will be directly from the textbook, so it is helpful to do the reading. Just two midterms and one final, all of which are multiple choice, true/false, and matching. Study and pay attention!

He was very engaging, straightforward with the topics that are going to be on the exams, no trick questions, all multiple choice or true and false, I would recommend reading the textbook if you plan on skipping or if you need to reinforce the knowledge that you gained in class.

For soci 325 there was only two midterms and a final. Professor Dumas lectures are funny and interesting. There is a lot of textbook reading but the subject matter is easy to read and comprehend. He shows flaws/bonus's on both sides of the political spectrum and the tests were multiple choice only.

Engaging lectures, just gets repetitive at the end, Very clear instructions just go to the lectures and everything is given.

Dr Dumas is quite sincere and invested in the material he teaches. He encouraged his students to make connections with the stories he tells and is extremely engaging with how he presents the material. I hope in the future I'm able to have him as a pro professor again. Absolutely wonderful! To this day 10 years later, I still remember his lectures.

His lectures were enjoyable and I looked forward to them. Pretty short slideshows compared to other professors, but pay attention to the stuff he talks about not on the slides - it would sometimes pop up on the exams. Grades were only based off of exams only -textbook and lecture content were testable on them.

Even though the semester is only about half over, I think it's safe to say that his expectations were definitely reasonable. The lectures were meandering at times, but otherwise the tests were fair. As long as you do the readings and study, this class should be one of the easier As you'll come across.

Dr Dumas is a wonderful and caring teacher. His tests are pretty easy as long as you study the lecture content and the textbook readings properly. Would recommend watching his old videos as well (theyre short) on the lecture notes. Lovely guy and would absolutely love to take another class with him again.

really funny guy. his lecture content is not heavy at all and he mostly tests based on that, a little bit on the textbook but it's all similar. 2 midterms and 1 final which are all fairly easy and doable.

Haven't shown up to most lectures, but when I did, Dumas was funny and clearly knows the subject well. Everything is posted online, from lecture slides to the actual lectures. He had practice questions for each both midterms and final posted as well. Reading is required at least 20% of questions were from the textbook. Exams are all MC and T/F!

Steve provides videos on d2L for most of his classes, which was extremely helpful. The slides/content was pretty straightforward and not overwhelming. The tests are reasonable, I would recommend going the readings. Would definitely take another class with Steve!

Dumas is a great professor. His lectures are engaging and light, and he is clear about what he wants us to study. He could consider including group assignments so that students could interact more with each other and not depend entirely on midterms and a final for their grades. I recommend doing all of the required readings from the textbook.

Hilarious guy and engaging lectures! Slides could sometimes be disorganized, but since it's all easy, multiple choice/TF exams, it doesn't matter too much. Don't be alarmed by the grading scheme! The midterms and final were simple, and I was able to get a good grade without even reading the textbook (although it is highly recommended).

he's a funny guy and his lecture content is never too heavy. he tests based mostly on the slides and sometimes on the textbook. for this particular course he did test a little on small, unnecessary stuff and there were sometimes application questions and that's why it was quite hard. 2 midterms, 1 final.

I'll say it time and time again, Dumas is the best. This is the third class I've taken with him and it was really great. Though his tests can be difficult, if you show up and read the textbook you will succeed. His lectures were entertaining and the topic was interesting!!

Those who have heard rumours that his class is an easy A, please remember it's still a 300-level sociology class. Don't be disappointed when the three big MC exams aren't super easy. If you read the readings, watch/attend lectures, and study hard. You will be fine. He's super nice and his class is pretty standard for the department.

He was a chill prof. His lectures were well organized and engaging it would be fun to attend them and he wouldn't let them get boring.

Provides recorded lectures, sometimes yaps a little, tries to engage his class. There are readings for the textbook, but the chapters are like 3-4 pages at most. If I fail his class, I genuinely believe it would be my fault. Some people just complain about profs for no reason lol

very engaging classes, though the textbook is a must read as it is tested on it is a simple book. additionally, his slides are easy to understand and he provides quite a bit of guidance on what to study and what is relevant about the course. he also is very funny and always gives real world examples to support understanding.

If you can't do well in this class then that's on you. Dumas test fairly, just make sure to know the readings and you'll do fine. I will admit some disorganization however he always works to fix that.

Absolute King. Lectures are so enganging and he provides lots of resources on D2L to help you study and review. Would recommend this prof to anyone and loved his class structure and personality that I will be taking more in the future. Overall my fav class and prof ever. 10/10. Amazing. Showstopping. Felt more like fun then a class.

Excellent lectures, a bit textbook heavy but balanced tests.

Dumas is a very good prof. He kept lectures very engaging, especially for such a large class. His explanations of some things are rather brief, and then on the tests, there's more material on the things he was brief on. It is not a difficult class.

Super engaging prof, content is simple, tests are all multiple choice. He was the highlight of this class, made it worth going every time. You should attend, he gives lots of context and memorable examples, but has lecture videos if you don't. Textbook wasn't useful imo, but is readily available so it's worth looking into if you think it will help.

Stephen was generally an easy prof. I took this class because I heard it was a GPA booster, and found it interesting. He was very considerate for the students and only wanted success for everyone. The lectures are dry (if you go after the first week), much of his non-lecture content is old youtube vids, and he gave us the wrong midterm once.
