I have to say that this was one of the best science classes I've taken. Don't get me wrong his classes were boring as all get out. But he offers a lot of help to those who need it. His test/quizzes/final were curved if they had to be. overall very fair. Just do the reading and the study guide helps

Honestly, I dont know what you guys are talking about on here. He is an AWESOME teacher! Always trying to find a way to teach that best fits his students! You can tell he defintly cares about his students and their grades. Goes way out of his way to help you improve your grade! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!

Steve was a very passionate professor. Even though he was an adjuct, he cared about us and how we were doing in the lecture portion, taught by crappy Dr. Plaush. He really knew his stuff and seemed to genuinely enjoy teaching us. A little spacey at times, but he helped me keep my sanity.

I hated Chemistry, dropped out of it in high school. Thought I'd give it another shot, and was sure I'd drop out again. Froelicher explained everything well. He's a great guy, and cares deeply for his students. He didn't push us too far, but wasn't too easy on us either. Smily face for sure!

Dr. F is one of the most helpful professors that I have ever encountered at SVSU. He will do anything to help his students and if you try your best he will ensure that you will not fail. He is not the best at getting things back in a timely fashion but that can be easily overlooked!!!

Honestly, Froelicher is one of the best professors I have had at SVSU. He teaches at a steady pace and if his class isn't grasping the concept he'll slow down and make sure everyone understands. He gives loads of partial credit on exams and a lot of extra credit opportunities.

One of the best teachers I've had. Really one on one with students, and really cares if he's going too fast or not. Makes sure you have the concept before going on. Gives great partial credit, you write something down and he'll at least give you 1 point.

He really knows his stuff. He is very personable and wants to get to know his students. He is always willing to help and can be very understanding. But sometimes the tests will blindside you, so you need to study well.

I struggled with chem all semester. Just show you are at least trying and ask questions. He will not give a bad grade to someone who doesn't try hard. Got a B's on most of the tests and ended up with an A in the class. Definatley reccomend.

As a music major, I am offended at the very thought that chemistry is remotely relevant to my field. But, this guy taught in a way that even I could somewhat understand.

I've had Froelicher twice now and I hope I will be lucky enough to take another class of his. He is the most helpful professor I've had in the past 3 years. It's true that it takes him some time to get quizzes and tests back but what can you expect from someone who works 2 jobs. I recommend him for any chem class.

Overall a good professor willing to stay after class and help but can be very unclear on certain topics. Also takes awhile to grade prior tests and quizes which made it complicated to know what your grade was in the class before going into the final. He lectures with knowledge and passion and makes it easy to learn, gives multiple short breaks in between so students aren't overwhelmed. Funny, down-to-earth guy that works a day job as a chemist and teaches by night--which means he truly loves the subject and the students he teaches it to. Lectures are interesting and engaging. I signed up for a 6-10pm class, and we were there pretty much that entire time. The class was rather enjoyable for me, considering how much I hated high school chemistry. The teacher really does make the difference.

Great teacher for Chem111 Lecture. If you have to skip classes he will definitely work with you to catch up. Although he has a job before teaching, he does offer to stay as late as you need him to for office hours. Love that he gave study guides for every single test and quiz we took.

Lots of EC hmwk and pts for showing up to class. Exams and quizzes, 1 each are dropped. Final exam is mandatory Attendance not mandatory but going to class will help you do well on exams. He wants students to do well and will help you if you ask. Very nice and caring. Very hard to not pass his class because everything is EC except exams and quizzes

Dr. Froelicher is very easygoing. Almost too easygoing for me. His lectures just need a little more structure. No need for a textbook. Tons of extra credit. We didn't have a final and got to drop the lowest exam grade. If you have an A in the class by exam 3, then you don't have to take Exam 4. Exams are super easy and multiple-choice.

I had this class 1 time a week, therefore, it was 4 hours long, but it Never ever felt like 4 hours long, he is super nice, caring, and kind, take him without even thinking if you are required. I got covid and he allowed me to take the test Whenever I was feeling good enough to study.

Had once a week class from 6-9:30pm. Professor was very likeable and went out of his way to make connections with students. Gave us frequent breaks and a day just to bring in food for everyone to share. Very easy exams with plenty of extra credit opportunities. Went off PowerPoint and material was very easy to understand.
