Brother Henderson is an amazing professor. His lectures are hilarious and you learn a ton! He gives great feedback and makes sure that you understand each concept. Did I mention he's hilarious? I had taken a similar class to this at another University and hated it, but Brother Henderson made Communication Writing fun, interesting and viable.

My favorite COMM teacher by far. He's very knowledgeable about what's going on in industry and is ready to help with anything even if it's not related directly with class. He's serious when it matters and funny when it's appropriate. Def recommend especially if Journalism is your Emphasis.

I was so lucky to be able to take 111 from him! I want to take more of his classes but I'm not a journalism emphasis... if you want a fun class Take HIM!

Brother Henderson is one of my favorite teachers in more ways than one. He teaches you real life writing skills that you will use throughout your life in ANY career. Super funny, and willing to help in any way he can. He expects you to do your best, but is very reasonable with grading. Would definitely take again.

My favorite teacher this semester! I learned a lot from him. He's a great teacher and is also extremely funny. Like literally everything he says is funny. But he's still professional and is there to help. Just don't miss a lot of class because if you do your grade drops considerably. Not sure if that's his rule or the department's though.

It bothered me when he changed the schedule frequently at the end of the semester but that is just about the only downside from this class.

Bro Henderson is so much fun, a great writer, and I really enjoyed taking Advanced Media Writing from him. However, he doesn't grade anything quickly, expect to turn in your final draft without having your rough draft graded often. But if you bring it up in class or email him or go to his office hours, he's always willing to help.

I have had this professor twice now. One class was really hard, and this one was easy. However, both classes have been enjoyable learning experiences for me. Some might not like his chill demeanor and call it unprofessional, but he's one of few professors that I feel I can talk to in class.

Bro. Henderson's class was on of the most fun to have because I'm pretty sure he has ADHD and I have ADHD and I was in the loud/fun class (but it's not like he's unfocused and hard to learn from). Basically just try and write your assignments without worrying about perfectionism and you'll do fine, he's a lenient late work grader (which I needed).

He was extremely nice and a super funny guy. Attendance wasn't mandatory for the class and all his classes were just lectures about the reading. All the work is super self explanatory so if you don't attend the lecture you can still complete the work. There was just a lot of busy work and a lot of discussion boards.

Henderson's my favorite teacher here at BYUI. He's a great guy and you can tell he likes his job and cares about his students.

Was a Great class

I liked Bro. Henderson. He was fun, laid back and nice about accommodations. His classes are very "trial by fire." I learned the same amount in class as I did looking it up online. Assignments will pop up the day they're due, and all instruction is given during class. I'd take him again for the personality he brings to class.

Not to the fault of the professor, the way the class is designed makes most of the online assignments not match with the in-class discussions. They also feel unnecessary and not very helpful in teaching the actual skills needed.

A very laidback professor and class. Not a lot of structure in the class, which can be fun, but can also feel like a less valuable use of time.

Class was great, learned a lot. We had a lot of fun.

COMM111 ended up being my favorite class this semester all because of Henderson! He makes the classroom feel like a community and gave us plenty of opportunity to be ourselves and get to know each other. He is super funny and makes class entertaining for sure! Manageable amount of homework and the assignments were always relevant and necessary.
