Awesome teacher!! I would definitely take him again. I wish they had teachers like him for every class. Really easy going guy, the only bad thing is there is homework assigned every class. But, overall he is very helpful and the class is easy!

Steve is just an awesome guy. He's funny at times, but very serious about Math. Do all of the work, and study from the past quizzes, labs, and tests, and there is no way you can fail his class. HE TAKES THE STUFF RIGHT OFF OF THE DITTOS AND TEXTBOOK! I mean, come on, if anyone fails his class, they are just plain stupid.

GREAT TEACHER. Steve has a great personality, is extremely helpful, and is really passionate about what he teaches. Yes, there is homework every class, but it's not hard at all, and practice does make perfect (I got a 100 on my final!). I definitely recommend him to anyone who is not good at math. He makes the GIANT that is math seem not so scary.

Prof.Hiamang or Steve as you will know him by is the best math professor I've had in my 5-yrs of college.I needed Math 136 to graduate;I found that he teaches very clearly and shows the subject in more than one way for the student to understand.Steve is understanding and very helpful. Professor was extremely helpful, very clear. I have no idea how can anybody fail his class, though we had some people.If you just listen what he says and follow his instructions you will get an A, or at least a B.

He is one of the best math proffesors i ever had. I definitely recommend him for any math class. Even though Calc 2 is a very hard class, he reviewed so much for it that it seemed very easy. But you obviously had to put your own effort in also. You will learn alot from him, he's a great guy and proffesor.

Overall great teacher! Steve has an accent and talks fast, but he is receptive to questions. His in-class test reviews come straight from the test. He gives bonus points for homework completion and attendance. His class is not an easy A, but if you put the work in, Steve will help you understand the material. I'm taking him next semester.

I cannot put into words how much I adore Steve. I was a failing math student before him and now I have an A. He is BEYOND fair and accommodating and will do anything to help you. Nothing he says or teaches is confusing and he really goes above and beyond anyone at Brookdale. I would take any of his classes again whether 6 am or 10 pm. He's amazing!

Steve is very kind, funny and fair. Test reviews are thorough but go to the extra ones offered too and to the math lab. There is a lot of online homework in this class, and a lot of labs. I found it tough going, but if you do the labs and homework, you can keep up. I took this class in the fall of 2012.

Steve IS Awesome. If you make it to the last day of his class, more than likely, you will pass with a C. He's a great guy and teacher. plus he gives you 3 points added to your FINAL grade just for going to class and not skipping his classes. Also he offers 5-10 points of extra credit on every test. His reviews are basically his tests. Take him.

Mr. Hiamang is Incredible. Statistics is not easy. However, he made it fun because he has a passion for math and he wants you to learn. He is a fairly new Professor at Brookdale and they made a good choice. If you want a good Math Professor? Mr. Hiamang is a good choice.

I took Steve for both Calc 1 (Math 171) and Stats also (Math 131) and honestly he is my favorite professor out of any class I have ever taken. He is an awesome guy and really cares about all of his students. Just show up to class on time and pay attention and I promise you will all get B's and A's

Stephen Hiamang, he's the king. Best math professor ever. Nobody is as lenient and concerned with your progress as this man. Always available for help in his office.

Steve truly cares about his students and is very approachable. He is laid back but also very intelligent. Test material comes from class notes only, nothing from the book or overly difficult web-assign homework. You have to study lecture notes! You get extra points for attending every class, no penalty for missing a class. I recommend taking him!

Statistics and math in general are sooo not my thing, but Steve made it manageable. The material is tough for someone without the brain for it, but he gives a lot of extra credit and the reviews were awesome. He's a great guy, and he made me not so scared of math anymore.

Steve was an awesome professor! Statistics is not the easiest subject , however professor Steve made it as clear as he could, he is honest and fair. Professor Steve is there to help as much as you are willing to help yourself. I would CERTAINLY recommend taking a class that he teaches. It's so worth it!

He's very funny and is great at teaching statistics! I would recommend taking him during a full semester rather than summer because 6 weeks is not enough time to understand and be able to do well on the exams. Other than that he is one of the best and would take him again!

Absolutely amazing teacher. I am someone who does NOT understand math and ended this class with an A. Attend every class & pay close attention and you will pass. Stats is difficult but he makes it worth your money and time. He truly cares about your grade & is ALWAYS there for help!! Recommend him!!!

Steve is a great professor. Math is definitely not my favorite subject, but with the way Steve makes lectures informative and fun, he made it my favorite class out of a 5 class semester. He is there for anyone that doesn't understand and offers extra credit to help with the difficult curriculum. Do the HW and you'll be prepared for the tests.

Steve is wonderful. Statistics is one of the hardest courses but Steve makes learning it fun. Show up to EVERY class, do your online homework immediately, stay on top of your labs and you'll get an A! I got a 99.04% final grade. Steve is funny and a great professor. I'd absolutely recommend you take him! You even get extra credit.

Professor Hiamang is one of the sweetest professors! The only reason I put lower scores for clarity and easiness is because for me math is super hard, especially statistics. But if you're good in math and you're required to take a math definitely take it with Steve! He cares for all his students and wants the best for everyone!

Take this professor! He is so nice and willing to help you. If you do not understand something, let him know and he will explain it until you do. He does have an accent but it is not thick enough to cause any understanding issues.

I cannot say enough nice things about Professor Hiamang. I didn't buy the text book and I got an A in the class. You definitely have to go to every class so you won't fall behind, but if you have 100% attendance he gives you extra credit at the end of the semester. He also gave us an extra credit assignment for each unit that can help a lot on your grade. If you're rude to him he will be rude right back, but he truly wants his students to do well and he makes the class fun. Loved him!!

guys, take him!! I had to retake math 151. I decided to go with Hiamang although I wasn't sure if I'd regret it. I passed with a B easily. Everything was much more organized this time around, i UNDERSTOOD it all. I like that homework was online & if u do the labs, easy A. & he gave extra credit for each test if you just do some packet problems!

STEVEEEEE!!!! he is the best math teacher in the entire world!!! honestly i enjoyed going to math class twice a week with him. He is the kindest teacher brookdale has to offer! His accent it a little hard to understand at first but you get used to it after like 3 classes HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!!

Steve is a good lecturer and gives clear examples. The material wasn't easy but he picks out the important stuff and teaches what will be on his tests. There were a lot of quizzes but some of them were take-home and he drops the lowest couple of grades. A lot of homework through WebAssign. A lot of extra credit opportunities though.

Hiamang is a solid choice to take the course that I did. The material itself was easy but he broke it down and made it make even more sense. There was a textbook online but I rarely used it because his lectures were so informative. We had a couple group projects throughout the semester too so make sure you proactively choose some good partners.

I like Professor Hiamang. The reason that he has an accent is because he's from Ghana and he speaks Asante Twi and Akuapem Twi at home as well as english. his english is not US english. its Ghanian English so you'll have a problem understand him. He likes to be called Steve and he loves to get extra credit. I do recommend Professor Hiamang (Steve).

Steve (As he goes by) is an incredible professor. I took him for Calc B (172) and was struggling in the beginning. He came to me and made sure I was understanding the material and even asked me to go to his office hours to talk about my grades. He really cares about his students and is one of the absolute BEST professors I've ever had.

Professor Hiamang was AMAZING!! Very understanding and super easy to communicate with! Highly recommend him! Show up to class, complete the labs, finish all webassign homework & webassign quizzes (very easy), just three tests. THATS IT! If you never miss a class, he gives extra credit thatll bump up your final grade!! 10/10 would take him again!!

Steve is by far one of the best professors ever. I am taking his Calc 2 summer course. HE IS AMAZING. So helpful and wants you to do well. He has an accent so in the beginning it's a little difficult, but you get used to it and understand by the end of the first day. His explanations help and I wish I could rate him higher.

While I had to drop the class it had nothing to do with Professor Hiamang. Online classes make it easy to fall behind. Especially in calc 4. From what I could tell, he forms personal bonds with students who will accept it. Very laid back and approachable. 5 points of extra credit per test.

I took Steve for Differential Equations. You wont always do the best on the Webassign tests, but he gives points back and extra credit too. Steve is awesome and hilarious. As long as you do the homework and show your work on tests you will do well in his class. I recommend you take him for Diff Equ, he makes the class easier for everyone.

Steve's a great guy. I never had a problem hearing him with his accent. He is very well versed in mathematics, but commonly makes algebra mistakes (who doesn't). Speak out and correct him asap, speak out with answers, do the assignments and the extra credit. There should be no problem passing this course, even after failing the first two exams.

I really liked him, very funny without trying too hard. I read the reviews about his " heavy accent" and was worried that'd be an issue but wasn't at all. Pay attention in class, attend the review sessions before every test , you'll be in great shape. Test questions are very similar than review questions. He does many extra credit opportunities.

DO NOT TAKE MATH171, the webassigns are nothing like the material in class and is extremely difficult. Then he throws curveballs on the test where the test is somehow nothing like the homework or in class lecture. The only saving grace is he gives 10 points on each test for Extra Credit and bumps letter grade up (c->b) if you attend every class

Lots of homework and quizzes but they are super helpful preparing for the tests. He posts pdfs of the textbook and lots of helpful videos.

Steve is an awesome professor. He does his best to help all his students pass the course. He gives clear test reviews that reflect the test and provides extra credit assignments for the class. I would definitely recommend taking Steve for any math class he teaches and would have taken him again if I needed to.

The professor can be hit-or-miss, but using unstuckstudy along with the textbook and attending classes helps a lot. Do the assignments and extra credit to pass this course.

The work was reasonable, theres a lot of it but it's not impossible. I liked the way he tought but there's no room for talking in the class he will yell at you but if you show up, participate, and do your work quietly you will do fine.

Steve (don't call him anything else, seriously) was a great math professor. Funny, casual but very knowledgeable. He has an accent but it really doesn't get in the way since he goes through modules at a good pace and tries to make sure everyone understands. will bump you one letter grade up for perfect attendance.
