Not very good at explaining things. Very absent minded. Manages to mess up his own examples. Confuses the hell out of the class. One of the worst math teachers I've ever had. He gets annoyed when you ask too many questions as if it's your fault he can't explain things worth crap. Also, NOT funny. As much as he wishes. Avoid if you can.

Great Guy!! makes the class less stressful than it already is considering the material of the course.He compromises and curves most tests and quizzes. he is a MUST TAKE!!
he is a nice guy....i enjoyed his teaching. but, he think he's funny and sometime make some cheesy choke which arent good...but overall his great and he'e very understanding..
Worst Teacher ever! Teaches to fast, doesn't explain anything well, made me waste my money. If ur not already good at math don't take him or u'll truly regret it!!!!! I was so disappointed!
I leave this class angry every time. Prof messes up his own examples. Makes at least 5 mistakes per class. About the whole class does a study group after class because they cannot learn from him. He is very unorganized and alot of the times absent minded. If you already aren't a great math student don't take his class.
His hot!! I didn't take the final exam, but some how I got an A on my final grade :) I also didn't so well on quizez but still got an A.
Unorganized. Chronically makes mistakes on the board. Tests on material not given in class or homework. Unclear explanations. Loses quizzes, writes grades in back of book. Constantly seems underprepared. Only reason I survived was I used the mathxl supplementary material online. Class was extremely frustrated and didn't perform well. Nice guy thoug
i think this guy has some serious problems. he'd come into class looking a hot mess, even on the first day. he didn't really explain anything to me, and having a disability he didn't provide the accomdations i needed to succeed. but i managed to get a b, so i'm not upset. avoid if you can
A very nice professor.He is very helpful and knowlegable. He teaches fast to cover the chapters.Do not miss class. If you miss one class,it is hard to coughup.He is pretty laid back teacher and reasonable. He explain the test very well.If you are good in math, you will get an easy A.
This is the worst professor i have had in college so far. If you ask him a question because you don't understand, he tells you he doesn't have time you should understand if you do the homework. He totally does come into class looking like a hot mess, he is very disorganized, and i did not find him helpful at all. DO NOT take his class!

this teacher teaches quickly with little patience for his students IN class.Rude at times and VERY unorganized. papers dissapear.If youre looking for a class where you have to teach yourself everything..from the book and by doing ALL the math exel..then this is the class for you.

I cannot BELIEVE how people can comment positively about this teacher!!! HE is absolutely horrible at teaching!!!The first day he doesnt have a syllabus for the class, he looks messy, he speaks unclear, and his HANDWRITING sucks so baddd!!! please i advise u not to take this teacher IF and only if u can teach yourself in math and is great at it!!

I would not recommend this prof. if you have not taken Calculus before. Even if you are good in math he will leave you confuse because he gives out wrong information. Students had to constantly correct him and one time it took him ovr a half hour to solve a problem. Four exams drops lowest and will sub 2nd lowest grade for final exam grade.
The professor was horrible. He could not convey his point, he couldnt even answer textbook questions. He would always stumble over his words and how to answer a problem. He probably is the worst teacher I've had in college.
This guy is really awesome. I know some people are complaining, but seriously if you just do the homework you will succeed. He tried to help kids who were failing. He offers to help outside of class. Doing everything in excel (if you just memorize the codes) makes this class a breeze. Extra credit bumped me above 100% for the final grade.

It is math if you are good at it you will do good if not study often. The concepts are challenging and takes time to understand. don't take this class for fun. Awesome prof curves every test and drops one i had fun in the class.
He is an Excellent Prof. I was almost gave up on Maths but he encouraged me to practice every day. Now I am good in maths. I was almost drop out from college. He always advise students "Just keep on practicing you can make it". This is a type of prof. we need in all campus. He is great take him.

this professor is awesome! he has around 5 exams and every single one he curves. i got an E on one exam and he curve brought me up to a mid B! everything he does is on excel and then he e-mails it to you so you don't always have to come to class.take him he's super easy!
He is a nice professor.This course has some new ideas and may make you worry. And you may not got good grades on the first or second exams. However, he encourages his students to practice more and advices his students to work with tutors and if listen to him it really helps. He is nice person and willing to help his students.
He is not very organized. I took my 2nd exam, he forgot to grade it, then forgot to give it to me once he had it graded. I didn't receive it til 2 weeks later. He did this to several other students also. His exams go by the book, not mathxl. So if you are confused on the problems on mathxl don't sweat it. Just attend class, you'll get a B at least.
I must say, this class has been such a pleasant experience. this professor makes coming to class fun while teaching difficult concepts in a way that makes learning easy and fun. dont hesitate to take his clases - he is very friendly and goes over and beyond to help his students!
He seriously enjoys what he's doing and if you show that you care about your grade then he'll be easy on you. So nice, has a nice sense of humor and he's kinda cute. Overall, loved having him as a professor this semester.
BAD teacher. was not helpful in learning the material I do not know why I showed up for class since I taught myself the material. his examples all have flaws. and he never shows up for class with his own stuff. he will always show up then start asking STUDENTS to borrow their books. DO NOT TAKE his STAT class(maybe different in other classes)
Very fair grader and funny. Made me actually look forward to going to class. People complained that they had to learn on their own - THIS IS COLLEGE and you're an adult. He's also more than willing to help though. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!
He makes this class great and very understandable. He takes the time to go through each section of the textbook so all you have to do is write down his notes and you'll pass the class for sure! :)

He's a really good teacher. I would take his class again. But he's disorganized. Sometimes he'll talk about one chapter and in the middle of it he'll realize its the wrong chapter for the class. He's forgetful. The way I see it is if you show him your working hard he'll give you a good grade. I got a B.
He is an easy grader, mainly because he sucks at teaching. makes too many mistakes that requires him to delete the board and start all over again. and he couldn't care less if you attend or not. BUT his questions comes from the textbook (which you can learn how to solve from Google) and he is an easy grader.

DO NOT TAKE A COURSE from this guy! He does not answer questions, has only one way to explain things so if you do not understand you will be lost. He moves very fast and makes lots of mistakes confusing you even more. Homework on MathXL, refers to quizzes in book but tests do not look like either. Steer clear of him if you are not a math wiz.

Ok. I hate math. But I needed to take this class. I found that the professor was not helpful at all and the class was hard. However he's an easy grader and he curves. Here's how I passed. I attended all the classes and I did 100% of the homework. Even though I failed two tests and got Cs on the other two I ended up with a final grade of a C.

Yes, lectures are long ,but He really cares about the students. He knows what he is doing. You just have to put up with long class. Always ask questions !! he will answer it. Show up and ask questions you will do just fine.
Do NOT take this class. He is an awful teacher. He knows his material, but doesn't know how to projecct it. He moves very quickly and makes many mistakes. He is also very disorganized and horrible at meeting deadlines!
Amazing professor! Look here, math has never been easy but if you dedicate some time to working through the problems, you'll do fine. His tests are curved, use the formulas and don't leave questions unanswered - you'll be fine. He cares about his students and is always encouraging. He's really funny too - a bit flustered, but a great guy!
I recommend that you do not take this class. Well, the bonus of taking this course is he is a smooth grader. When he lost with a math problem, he is just lost. Don't take this class he will confuse you while he is teaching you.
Do not take his class! Whenever I went to his office hours, he was not there. He does not clarify when asked questions. If you miss his exam, you will not be able to make it up. Even if you have doctor's note. The tests are tough and nothing similar to what learned in class. He loses students' papers and makes them retake it. Learned noting!
This class has ALOT of homework, but the class is very easy as long as you dedicate enough time to study.
DON'T TAKE ANY OF HIS MATH CLASSES. You will not understand what is going on. He won't example anything to you enough to break it down. He is not accessible out of class he will never email you back. please don't take his class, I am trying to warn you. if you want to pass and understand please don't take his class.

I couldn't be more disappointed with this class. It was extremely hard to drag myself to his class and listen to his lectures. I've never had a teacher who was so confused. He often made mistakes that he didn't always catch so it was hard to know if anything he did was accurate. Extremely unclear
WORST PROFESSOR EVER. Never in my life had I struggled so much to understand what this so called "professor" was teaching. He is horrible at explaining things, makes many mistakes, unorganized, and is flat out terrible. I would spend hours trying to teach MYSELF everything because he was and is useless! Do NOT take his class! You will regret it.
I should have gotten an F. I passed with a C. I still don't know how. Kcenich is THE WORST math professor I have ever encountered. I don't understand how someone could confuse themselves so much or not be able to properly articulate a math concept as a professor. He loses paperwork so easily! BUT he always curves the quizzes and tests. The worst.
All around a very confusing professor. He doesn't know how to properly explain things, he tends to go all over the place and makes many mistakes. If you want to understand the material and pass the class, do not take him.
Now he is not the best of teachers. But he teaches well and gives opportunities for extra credits. He doesn't care about participation. However, he is willing to help if any enthusiastic student.
I made an account just to rate this professor. This professor could not have made less sense. He rambled, was extremely confusing, and was confused himself. Multiple times he would be explaining something extensively and then would realize he was doing it all wrong. His handwriting was terrible, the textbook & all of the homework was online.
Very nice, explained everything, occasionally made an error but corrected himself which is normal! we are not perfect, These errors actually helped prevent me from making the same mistakes on the exam. The explanations are actually dummied down so I found it very easy to learn. I ve taken stats TWICE already and this was the only teacher who I get.
Comes unprepared, doesn't give us time to figure out the questions then just gives us the awnsers, makes multiple mistakes then goes back to fix it leaving us confused, doesn't like emailing only texting, not a good teacher overall please take another teacher this is a waste of money. etc
If you are not good in math, do not take with this prof. He cannot explain AT ALL. He just writes on the board for himself. If you go to his office, he cannot explain, also he is not available at all.
I am not very good at math but it was not hard to understand it when he taught it. He makes funny jokes which help because I hate math. I looked forward to attending his class. The homework were graded online and done online.
An awesome human and an incredible professor. I was very nervous about this class and needed to pass but had only elementary math knowledge. Professor Kncenich makes what he teaches accessible and passable to everyone. He helps with homework in class and is available outside of class. He's an easy-going guy and will work with you, highly recommend
Hes really nice and devoted.
Generally a nice guy. He encourages his students and makes them feel welcome. However, this class was heavy on homework and it was very easy to get lost during online lectures. This class was not meant to be taken online as it was not engaging enough for me to learn. Don't even think about skipping. At least the supplemental videos were helpful.
PLEASE I AM WRITING THIS TO HELP YOU to SAVE YOUR GPA. Currently looking into auditing grade. I learned from doing hw w/ videos & lots of google. He goes straight into practice questions. He messes up on answers. His notes are unorganized and barely posted. He can't answer questions when help needed. I WISH I could post class recordings to PROVE IT
I'm taking his 7-week course for starters. He is VERY VERY unorganized. He goes straight into practice problems and explains material poorly. He NEVER responds to emails. He is always forgetting to change views on collaborate so we don't know what he's talking about. It seems like he is very confused a lot of the time.
He's terrible at teaching online. Always has "technology issues" aka not changing from one tab to another. Slow grader, tries to wait for due dates and then is late grading everything else. Easy to get into contact with. Will work with you to fix your grades and any computer mistakes with exams (aka rounding)

Prof. Kcenich is a great guy overall, one of the few professor that really show that they want you to pass. Experience from taking an in-person 7-week course with him was a breeze all you had to do was stay on top of the homework which tbh is a bit excessive but nothing impossible. Gives his cell first day and tells everyone to call him for help.

DO NOT take this class if you have a learning disability. This professor goes unbelievably fast and does not take the time to allow students to understand. He goes from one lesson to another, then days later go back to the same lesson. There is no consistency with him. I had no choice but to take his class.
Not very good at explaining things and his classes are kind of unorganized. Would recommend this class for people looking for an easy A/GPA booster. Would not recommend to anyone wanting to learn statistics. For midterm & final exam make sure to study the practice module on myopenmath as the exams are copied directly from it.
He was such an easy going professor. He is an easy grader and flexible. When he teaches he goes kind of fast but if you tell him to slow down he will. Overall he was such a good professor for math.
His class is easy but he is unclear with explaining things. He makes unclear explanations my grade was partly my fault. But he didn't really try to help me make up the grade and I was very close to passing. You don't learn anything at all and he uses my open math for everything. If your a first-gen figuring everything yourself don't take his class.
Great professor and an easy class. Super chill and friendly guy. The #1 you have to do is ASK QUESTIONS! He will happily go in-depth to answer your question and ensure you fully understand it before continuing. Homework is quite light, and tests are easy. I definitely would recommend if you're taking MATH117.
Mr. Kcenich is an awesome professor in my opinion. Even though he's not the best at explaining the material in a comprehensive way, he was always good at making jokes and making sure that the students felt comfortable. Always wants his students to pass. Very chill. Had extra credit assignments and projects to do to bring grades up.
it's hard to kind of get in communication with the professor, but the work is difficult if you don't understand the concept or even study!! i definitely had to learn materials by other methods since the online textbook doesn't really provide much information. he's lenient with assignments, and is understanding. he wants you to pass!
Honestly he's a great profressor. He does talk a little fast, but he'll slow down if you ask him to. Very lecture heavy, and most likely will have to learn on your own outside of class. He uses myopenmath for everything, but he has lots of online resources available. He's funny and tries to engage with the class.
