Totally disagree. He is a very good teacher. Fair and willing to help at all times. He knows his subject, but got stuck with an awful book and materials. Many students in the class are unwilling to do much work. Kizlik is a keeper!!!

Professor Kizlik is always willing to help those that dont give him an attitude just remember there are many students in the class he cannot please everyone

He is one of the most caring and dedicated teachers I've ever had. The class is huge and sometimes the TAs don't do their jobs, but he makes the most of the situation. I'd take him again anytime.

He is not very organized, but maybe it's because he had about 400 students. His tests were tricky but not really actually hard. If you do you pay attention in class you will get an A. All around great teacher.

Very interesting guy (you'll know when you talk to him). Midterm and Final was open notes so make sure you take some good ones during class. Pleanty of chances to get extra credit and whatnot. Do the work and you'll get the grade.

Stats in general is hard...but if you have to take it take it with Kizlik. He relates well to his students, and he will always make time for students that have questions or need extra help. He's kinda wacky and super cute!! This tends to make class fly by

"labs" are weighted heavily on the overall grade. More than 60% failed the mid-term, and even more failed thefinal. labs are taught by TA's- very smart, but half don't speak English & when reigistering, you aren't given TA's names.. all 'TBA' Makes no sense...

Professor Kizlik is so great at explaining things. He is fair, and always gives 100% for his classes. He speaks well and has a excellent command of the content. In addition, he is always available to help after class or during his office hours. I am undserstanding math for the first time. Thanks.

mr. kizlik is a very unusual teacher here at fau. he is very entertaining and humorous. u HAVE to stay alert and awake tho. he does move fast but is a very good teacher. i enjoyed going to his class just to listen to him get frustrated with students and babble...does his job well and makes sure u understand...just be respectful and do your best

Mr. Kizlik is truly a unique and wonderful teacher. His knowledge is both broad and deep in math and a lot of other subjects. He helped me enormously. A problem in these type classes is that probably half of the students do not have the knowledge needed for college-level math. If you pay attnetion and think in his class, you WILL LEARN.

Hes kinda weird...almost eccentric. But he can teach, which is what counts. He actually came in the same day after getting oral surgery done, and was able to teach an entire lecutre without talking...and got his point across. Hes a hard professor, but gives good notes

Crazy teacher but very fair when it comes to grading. Go to every lab and take every quiz bc it makes a huge difference in ur grade at the end. I got 60's on both exams and still got an A in the class.

Kizlik sweats out of every pore in his body, but he is a hell of a nice guy. This class is not easy, but he helps you and his exams are open notes. If you write down his notes and examples you'll get a decent grade if you study! He's a good guy and good teacher.

Great professor. Quirky guy who goes of on tangents during lecturs often, although this provides a nice break from the math. Great lecturer and really strives to make sure each student understands the material. Provides tons of extra credit and reviews.

Okay so everyone says that stats is ridiculously hard, and maybe it is, but Kizlik gives so much extra credit and grades on such a heavy curve- that honestly you have to be pathetic not to pass this class. Literally all you have to do is show up to lab and you're set.

What can I say? Best professor ever. He is definitely worth having at least once at FAU. Trust me, you'll love his class. Can't go wrong with Kizlik. I wound up changing my major to Mathematical Science because he made e fall in love with stats.

For the first week or so in Kizlik's class I wasn't too sure that I liked him, but after giving him a chance, I ended up loving him and the class!! He is a wonderful teacher and he is always willing to help his students out with grades. Everyone should have atleast one class with him at FAU.

This is hands down the BEST teacher at FAU. I never liked math nor was I anygood at it. yet he has a way of teaching that is best summed up as a Shakesperean play. He usually gets chaulk all over his clothes and face. His passion for Stats is contageous. I got a C and worked hard for it but I looked forward to going to that class.

Very eccentric teacher, but extremely passionate about the subject. Provides entertainment for an otherwise boring and challenging class. I hear he's alot better than the alternative Stats teachers. If you need to take this class, he's the best choice.

He rocks the house. He's hot and brilliant. The labs push your grade up so much it's crazy so hopefully you'll get a TA who can explain well and you'll ace all the open book easy-as-pie quzzes. I studied a lot and read the book and took and interest but the exams were pretty hard for me. SO HOT! I was told that last semester he freaked out though..

Great Teacher! Loud, funny, sometimes a little absurd but he's a great guy! Go to ALL labs and do quizzes and you should be OK. There are only to test, Midterm and Final. So try to get at least a C on the first one! Very caring! Will let you do make ups and works with people who have personal problems!

The class is difficult, but the professor makes it interesting. You have to excuse his excessive sweating and chalk dust (but that comes with the package). He can explain things clearly and knows what he's doing. Exams are open book. Labs raise if you do good in the them! Other than that, one of the better math professor I have encountered.

only 2 exams, know your stuff and he will majorly curve. so it was pretty easy to get an A

He is a bit weird but he is a GREAT teacher. He makes the lectures realy interesting and his hyperness and jokes make the time fly. The labs count for a lot so they will bring up exam grades. He offers extra credit for doing 'My Math Lab'. So my suggestion is to spend the extra $50 to get a better grade.

Funny man, pay attention and you don't even need to use the book. Pay attention to his examples and you'll do fine.

Nice professor and passionate about stats. Class moves at a very fast pace; do not get behind! Personally, I thought the required labs were a waste of time and didn't like them being conducted by TA's. The TA's: difficult to explain things and some can't be understood due to bad English skills.

Great Teacher. If you attend his class u dont need to study or read the book and u will end up with an A. Very easy very helpful. Best math teacher ive had since middle school

He will go over the top to help you, but remember, he is only available 20/7. He does need time to sleep.

If you are interested in stats, this is the class for you. Kizlik is genuinely concerned with his students and will go out of his way to help you understand. Make sure you do well in the labs (which are super easy as long as you attend) because the exams are way way tougher than anything you've seen in class!!!

One of the greatest professors I have ever had. This guy really cares for his students. His tests are hard sometimes but they are not that bad. Study with someone if you struggle in statistics and go to his office hours. His final - some problems are hard, others are easy, some are crazy, one of the coolest finals I've ever had to take. Go Kislik!

I must say i enjoyed my time with professor kizlik...he is a very funny man...but he can get off topic. Allu have to do is pay attention (when he is teaching) and you will ace his class. and yes i witnessed the chalk eating too..but he was going through some rough times so i dont blame him.

He is a very good man, but yes he can get off topic and be somewhat confusing at times. As far as the chalk eating incident is concerned, he was under A LOT of personal stress and it had an adverse affect on his teaching. Once he gets all he personal stuff dealt with, he will be an AWESOME prof!

well..his personal stuff is still up in the air, so it is STILL having an effect on his teaching, however once you learn to look past his ...seemingly pointless tangents, his teaching skills are good...take this class only if you are good in math...if not..you WILL have a hard time

KIZLIK is the BESTTTT! I was there when he ate the chalk, he did it as a joke hes not crazy. I enjoyed the class before they made him take a vacation. People say he goes off topic but he writes the useful stuff on the board. He makes math make sense so pay attention and go to class. Otherwise math taught by anyone is extremely boring!

Excellent teacher. He's office is always open for help. He makes learning entertaining and fun. He gives really bizarre and fascinating examples. He curves his exams and is very flexible with make-up tests.

Kizlik, is a little strange, however cares about his students success. Very difficult class, however, definitely passable. I would take STA 2023 with Prof Kizlik.

Well, what can I say? Kizlik is a great guy, he really cares about his students he is enthusiastic and gives tons of opportunities for the students to jump in and apply themselves AND allow them to get a good grade. Like any class, it's what you make of it. He's a good teacher and a caring person.

I took his course for Math for Liberal Arts 1 and Statistics and he was great. He gave good examples, Stats is harder. He goes off on tangents that are mostly halirious, which makes you look forward to class. He gives sample exams, review sessions, drops the lowest test, and most of the time curves your grade at the end. Good Caring, honest guy!

Really great teacher, had him for STA2023. You have to go to the lectures to get the concepts otherwise you will probably be in the dark. His personal stories are hilarious while at the same time you'll be like "What the heck?"! He drops the lowest grade which you will definately benefit from! I recommend him!

Awesome teacher, stories are hilarious! He will help you get an A if you stay after and tutor with him. He will prepare you for QMB3600. Take him, do all the homework, and QMB will be a cake walk. He curves his tests!! He gives sample quizes and exams. Study them and you'll get an A. He is so helpful. Probabilities return later on - learn them now.

I took Kizlik over the summer as a transient student. Being new to the FAU campus, this class made fell right at home. He is absolutley hilarious and wants everyone to pass his class. As long as you put forth an effort you will do just fine. TAKE HIM!!

This is the best professor I have ever had in any math class. He is always there for his students and very helpful. Class also flies by and I never get bored. I have pulled my grade up substantially since the beginning of the semester and now really love Stats! Take this class with him - you will not regret it.

Professor Kizlik is a awesome teacher. He really cares about his students and wether or not they pass. He is also well aware of when students do not understand the material and makes sure to clarify! He has a great personality and really keeps you involved in the subject... Definately a pick for stats etc.

GREAT Stats teacher that really gets his students and the subject. But if you don't do your homework, you cannot expect to pass. Many students think they can get away without trying and that does not work. Buck up and do the math, people! I loved being in this class and understand everything he taught us now, with studying and attendance.

Kizlik is the best teacher I've ever had! His stories are random but necessary... its so hard to sit through an hour and a half of statistics so his random comments/sories are almost required! It is helpful to visit him during office hours. He really cares about how his students do (just as long as the students care too). TAKE HIM!

He is by far the best professor i have ever had. He sets up many many many extra study sessions before the hardest exam which is the 2nd one. This is out of his own time. Tests are open notes. Although do not relay on them. Many people relayed on them and failed and now are upset about that which is not fair to professor. Great and fun teacher!

Stats is hard if you're not good at math - But if you ARE TRULY motivated to pass and he will help you a lot. He's A LITTLE CRAZY but loves what he does and KNOWS that most of US don't like MATH. Took him for Summer, worked pretty hard - got a B-. Friend of mine who was good at math pulled off an A like nothing.

He was a great helpful teacher. He goes off topic a lot but he does it to keep kids interested on a very boring subject. The first three exams are difficult but lots of study sessions and if you get an A,B on the final that is the grade he will give you for the class. I had a C going into the final and pulled an A. Wish I could have him again.

Very intelligent. He is not as bad as people make him out to be. Yes, he has his quirks but that is what makes his class one of the best to take at FAU. He really wants his students to do well and pass. I love his ramblings about his wife, room mates, his hate of London and the government. Love you Kizlik!!! One of the best I've taken at FAU!!!

He is generally a good guy and will do eveything in his power to have his students pass, but spending the bulk of class rambling on his ex-wife when we have an exam the next day is frustrating...:/ WAY HYPER and OFF-TOPIC 99% of the time..

He may get off topic sometimes, but with a subject as boring as math the things he talks about are fun and interesting. I love him. He's an easy teacher and unlike 99% of teacher's he truely cares about his students and will do ANYTHING to help you. He's awesome.

Kizlik is such an amazing and caring teacher. Like everyone says he is off topic but its insightful and interesting plus, it keeps things entertaining. He is extremely intelligent and just wants to help student so they understand and succeed.

This man can make the most boring material extremely interesting. He seems to have some sort of historical allusion to every single thing he says. He is absolutely brilliant and am definitely going to take another one of his classes. He gets off topic, but for good reason (math is boring!)

Nice guy, great teacher. Hes one of those people that has so much going on inside his head that it is hard to get it all out. He loves math and loves teaching it. He wants his students to do well and will spend as much time necessary to help.

He honestly keeps the topic interesting. Math isn't fun, but he interjects topics into the lecture to keep everyone's attention. I would sign up for another one of his courses

The guy is funny. He gets off topic about things he hates and makes the class harder because of it. He has a bit of a temper. He barely uses the iClicker that he tells you to have every class. If you do the lab work and get perfect scores on every hw along with attend class then you will pass easily. Especially since you have unlimited hw tries.

He is really a helpful teacher that keeps me awake. I would recommend him. He could be mistaken as crazy, but he really tries to advance his students.

Everyone say what you want; he may act a little crazy but he is probably the best math instructor I have ever had. Somewhat insane, relatively genuine teacher. Like others said, gets off topic frequently but is very interesting. Even with the ranting, he still devotes adequate time to covering material.

Kizlik is sooooo easy. Your suppose to have a quiz (which are SUPER EASY)every thrusday but that doesnt always happen but before every quiz he shows you how to do the problems. He gets off topic sometimes but he allows you to throw stuff at him so he stops. If you want to pass deffinately take him!

To be right to the point Kizlik is unorthodox. He digresses constantly some topics are interesting, but I wouldn't say they help you learn. Doesn't hold your hand when explaining, but is willing to help if needed. Gives reviews and study guides are pretty much the exams. He does his best to pass you with easy HW, quizzes and a curve at the end.

He's an awesome professor, doesn't require attendance, and is the sweetest professor in the world. If you can't make a quiz, makeups are usually an option, and so are tests.

He is one of those professors that every student should have the honour to encounter. Overall an amazing guy. Knows statistics very well and will do almost whatever it takes to make sure you learn about statistics also. But to sum it up, YES it's an easy class :)

Literally no reason to not get an A in this class. Notes allowed for exams, easy homework, no attendance required, and his actual teaching is very straightforward & clear, & he has no problem with helping you "get" the concepts. Literally the easiest class I have taken in my entire collegiate career.

You will definitely have to try in this class if you hate math. Kizlik is a good guy and keeps it real. He tends to talk about his stories often, but cares about his students. He's open to any questions and is more than willing to help you out so take advantage of that. Do the hmwk and put in the effort and you'll be surprised you passed.

he is never on time, very random and nuts but he is worth it!!! i took him for precalc summer term, test grades: 70,78,60 and 64 on final exam....once grades were curved, and extra credt considered i received an A- in his class he is funny but one of a kind:)

By far my favorite teacher at the university. He is super nice, his grading is incredibly generous and he knows his stuff. Two words to describe him would be crazy and genius. He is late, always goes off topic, and loves to complain about his ex-wife but he is so interesting and truly cares about his students. Love this class.

This man is amazing. College is about learning, and I learned more in his class than I ever did in any of my other classes at FAU, or any other university for that matter. About wars and the American government and literature. And math. Some math. I'd take any class he offered.

This is a class that you get what you put into it. If he sees you trying and making an effort YOU WILL PASS. He does go off on tangents a lot but if you ask, he will get back on track and when he does discuss material, it is very straight forward. He will answer your questions and extends office hours for further questions.

Honestly, if you go to class, take notes, ask questions if you need help, & most importantly DONT cheat. You will pass the class. He goes off on tantrums sometimes but overall he is a very nice professor. Most of the time pushes back dates for exams & is very generous with the amount of time for due dates. And VERY willing to help if you need it.

As someone who's abysmal at statistics, he really made it entertaining. Let me put it to you this way. Here I am a few years later and he's one of only 3 professors I actually remember. The rest all blend together. If you appreciate interesting people take him. If you like your professors more beige pants and gingham button-down, take someone else.

his passion is contagious, he's respectful of students and he's not a square or conformist like so many others, he goes off the topic of math to break the monotony of it and I valued that in him. If you have questions he helps and the aide doinitsa was so good in the lab portion. Math is not a spectator event you have to play the game actively.

Honestly, he is a bit unorganized but it doesnt make him a horrible professor. His exams are straight from the homework & his lectures. He does everything in his will to help you pass the class & is honest about what he expects & what you can expect from the class. He's really funny & has a good heart. so what he's late sometimes, he shows you he is human and that it's ok to be human and that corporate americaschool is BS. He teaches the subject well and he veers off in other directions to keep you awake. He's a good human being and he's inspirational. I actually wanted to do my homework because he stimulated me to want to learn.
