Class is really easy, plus he's hilarious & very intelligent.
He's a great teacher. He cares about each student and will help you in any way he can. He has a lot of work, but gives full credit if you do it. I really enjoyed his class.
Forget learning, this guy was great. Does he still do the birthday thing every week? We'd spend half the hour celebrating somebodies dogs bday. But on top of that, he did teach the course material well.
He was an awesome person and an awesome teacher! He let me ask as many questions as I wanted and he was willing to stay after class to help us. He made the class FUN!!!!

This guy entertains more than he teaches. As a psych major, I didn't feel this class was very helpful, or even very educational. He spends more time cracking jokes than teaching. The class was too easy. I feel like I'm wasting $ if I don't learn anything.
This class is very easy concidering its hard subject material. Lambert is a GREAT guy, take him!
This man rules.
He is great! Everything he says is hilarious and he makes it entertaining. The tests were semi difficult, but it is worth it. Take the 3 hour if you can, he always let us out way early. A good teacher.
waste of my time
Lambert enjoys bringing students to the front of class and act out the birthing of children. This class is extremely entertaining and not very difficult. Very little homework but the tests and quizes are semi hard.
His class is very easy and straightforward. I would recommend it for non-psych majors simply because it's so easy. He is an entertaining and caring guy. I recommend him wholeheartedly.
Did not enjoy the class! The class was out of control and he did not express the desire to run a civilized class, very scatter brained and wanted to be a friend more than a prof who taught us valuable things. Appeared lazy and his voice puts you to sleep.
way too easy. gives you study guides for quizzes, midterm, and final. gives you full credit for papers just by doing them. take him if you're not a psych major.
We had a lot of timely assignments due, so plan that work wisely. He'll give you full credit, though. Yes, study guides for all tests. Entertaining, but he really does want you to learn a lot. Take him. Easy, funny, smart.
I have never laughed so much in a class. Lambert is a wonderful man with a passion for what he does. He is very genuine when he speaks to you and after a long day at work, it's nice to go to his class and giggle at the funny things he says. It's rare to have a prof. who is passionate with his work.
Waste of credits. He's very smart and what he's teaching is interesting... when he gets to it. VERY scatterbrained. Really funny, REALLY easy, and I would be excited to go to class if I didn't feel like I was wasting my money. Take him if you miss recess.
Professor Lambert is an excellent teacher. He has an ability to present challenging material wit humor and high energy. At time he can be very challenging. He gave us a midterm based mostly out of readings from a difficult text with no notes! He really does want us to lean, however. Take him!
Take this class!! Hes awsome and the class is a break away from the stress' of the apu campus. He cares about us and he very clearly outlines every test and quiz. Dont fall behind on the reading or u will have alot to do at the end. OH YEAH he doesnt fail anyone, just to let u know (he even says so)
Excellent class. Lambert has tons of real life experience in family therapy. Many client family stories. Challenging, but wants you to do well and cares for students. Tests are pretty tough, but pretty good grades on papers, projects. Passionate, humorous, smart, but can be real goofy.
He's hilarious. Class is just lecture, but interesting and amusing. Semester's homework includes: 2 reflection papers, 3-5 journals, a study of Psalms and proverbs, and thoughts on the book Emotional Intelligence. Good teacher, you'll be glad to have him
This guy is by far the best teacher at APU. He is funny and entertaining, and yet stil get's the point across. Fight for this class! You won't regret it!
Good man, pretty weird and crazy. Likes to be friends more than a prof. But all around pretty easy and fun. Very creative. He will make you stand up in front of the class a few times. no HW, make sure to do the reading. Fun class, but not the best I have been in. If you want a serious Prof, Get Out.
He doesn't teach. You learn from the textbook, that's about it. He doesn't command respect, or teach psychology. DO NOT take a 3 hour class with this man
Excellent prof. Friendly, caring, loves God, cares about students. Really challenging, but fair. Good illustrations, stories, humor. Great real life lectures. Quite a lot of reading and challenging tests. Take him and learn a lot about family psychology.
i love this guy. he is fun and really does care about his students. enjoyable, especially for a 3 hour class. if u can, take him. u wont regret it.
This guy is so funny. Not the best teacher; I'm in the 3 hour class, and I'd say 1/3 of the time is spent on tangents. Fairly easy. He's nice, cares about his students, good Christian, not the greatest teacher though. Take it with a friend and you'll be fine.
Lambert is so great! He's really funny and cares about his students. He is always happy to help if you have questions on assignments. And the test and quizzes are fairly easy. I'm really happy I took this class and would recommend him to anyone.
Wow, he's a funny guy. His powerpoints can be a bit annoying at times, but he's a sweet guy and really knows his stuff. He's been doing this class for quite some time now. Fun, easy to get along with, gives out free food sometimes. highly recommended.
Professor Lambert is a really cool guy. He is really nice and he makes class fun and interesging. However, I felt that he was too easy. I didn't learn as much as a could have. He needs to make students read more.
thank God he was the one to teach this class, very depressing material, but he was very uplifting and encouraging. consider this one of the easier upper level psych classes, though there is fair amt of work
It felt like it wasn't a real class. I don't know how I got my A.

he's a great guy but this class was incredibly boring. he's seriously the sweetest teacher ever, but the tests were ridiculously hard and the lectures were incredibly boring
One of the best professors at APU. He cares about his students and his faith. Uses real life stories in psychology. Good sense of humor. He teaches challenging material and gives challenging tests. Kinda nutty though.

he's funny and is very good at acting out different psychological behaviors
Awesome teacher, funny guy, very thorough, and probably the fairest professor you'll ever have. Highly recommend taking his class, especially for general psych.
Best prof I've ever had, hands down
One one of the most friendly and helpful professors at APU! Great personality and genuinly seems to care about his students! Highly recomend!
what a great guy!never seen a prof who cares that much.he prays for you the whole semester.lectures are kinda dull, never seems to have a point, but has great discussions.study for the midterm and final.take him if at all possible he is great!
just okay. Didn't really care about the class in the first place. Honestly, I took my lap top to class (it's a lecture class) and 1/2 paid attention. But let me tell you, he cares about his students SOOO much! He's a funny and nice guy, but as far as teaching just okay. Not too hard, barely any homework. just okay
Excellent professor. very caring and encouraging. Minister and family counselor with great real life class discussions on psychology and family stuff that matters. Really cares about students.
Prof told us he had over 15,000 hours of counseling experience with families. I believe it! Great lectures and discussions. He can talk about great psych stuff as easily as most people talk about going shopping at a mall or watching football games. Easy quizzes. Pretty tough exams, but very fair grader. Take him.
Funny/nice guy, but lectures are still boring. 4 or 5 quizzes, big midterm and final, all scantron. Quizzes are really confusing at times, but he throws out the questions that everyone gets wrong, so its all good.
Lambert is a great teacher! I greatly recommend him! If you listen and study hard for the finals and quizes you will do great. He is full of knowledge and he is so entertaining. He is a little weird but that is what makes him great. And also he prays for everyone of his students all the time. He is great at comparing psychology to Christianity.
Amazing teacher. His class is very fun and you will learn alot.Provides helpful study guides. He cares deeply for his students. Ends each class in a prayer and likes to pray for his students daily. Even brings pizza, drinks, and snacks to class for everyone on occasion.dont take it with anyone else!
Wow... seriously the greatest Psych professor. I highly recommend him! Not only does he send out sutdy guides for most if not all the quizzes, he cares for his student so much! We have had 2 pizza parties this year, and he always bring us snacks and treats! He's the greatest!
Lambert is an extremely passionate, knowledgable guy. Hate psychology, but since it's mandatory, he's the guy to take. Very few assignments--almost all are turned in at the end of the year, so stay on top of it or you will be SCRAMBLING at the end. Lambert brought our class pizza, candy, etc, multiple times this year. GOOD guy
lambert is an easy teacher and requires only a few assignments over the semester. however his midterm and final are big and require studing. the class is extremely relaxed...and if you are someone who likes structure or answers given on time..then dont take his class. the class is pretty scattered and he is very vague on alot of things.
Lambert is a great guy. He's fun and very interested in his student's well being. The class was pretty easy despite the fact that I did little to no work. Also, I didn't feel like I learned as much as I would have liked from this class.
Lambert talked about things I did not learn in other classes. He helped me really understand the influence of my family on my life, all the way back to my grandparents. Excellent class. Hard midterms and final. I decided to go to graduate school and become a family therapist after the class.
Great professor, high energy, introduces real life topics to get whole class talking-sometimes debating. very positive guy. Really wants students to succeed. quizzes are easy, but exams are challenging. Take him
Professor Lambert is extremely funny. He says that pain killers are released from our brains when we laugh hard and he wants us to laugh. I learned a ton of stuff though. Lambert has hundreds of little examples to turn the material into real life examples. Study hard for midterms and finals though. Take him for general psyche.
Wow...professor Lambert is a nice guy, but dam. He is weird. He doesnt teach psychology AT ALL. I cant stand this class!! He knows what he is talking about but doesnt teach it to his students. He loves to take all class period talking about random stuff and then tell us we have a test next class on stuff we not even studied.
Not only is he a good teacher, but he is one of the warmest, kind hearted proessors ever. I am a freshman in a big class of 65. I went to him after class to talk about some personal issues. He gave me 50 minutes of his time during his lunch. He really helped me understand some things. I really recommend him.
Great prof. Extremely passionate about what he does and the well being of his students. His tests are hard and his classes look at really deep things that make you really think about the world. Wonderful guy that loves and cares for his students. He really makes you want to work. The class has a lot of papers, journals, and quizes.
He was a very nice guy, but his tests and quizes were extremely hard. He gives A LOT of reading and writing projects. I really had wished he would have given us due dates for stuff, because everything is turned in on the last day, so you'll be screwed in the last couple weeks trying to finish it all..
He is a super great teacher who cares so much about his students. The class is all lecture, discussions, and videos. It can be boring at times but Steve is funny enough to compensate that. Just study for quizzes and tests and you'll do just fine.
Professor Lambert is the most passionate teacher I have had. I am going to minor in psychology because of his class. He is full of positive energy and he prays a lot for his students. Exams are tough, but he really cares about his students.
He is very nice, and gives good study guides for all of his tests. The best advice I can give you is to do the work during the semester, don't wait until the last second like I did.
Lambert was an excellent prof. i highly recommend him. he was very lenient and really goofy. kept us entertained. he gives you til the end of the semester to turn in most assignments but i'd recommend doing them throughout and not wait til the end! its really time consuming
Lambert is wonderful!!! He really cares about all of his students and does as much as possible to show this care. He prayed for me all the time during the semester and was there to talk to both regarding life and psychology. He is a wonderful prof and knows a lot about his field. TAKE HIM!!!
Great Guy. Complete waste of your money. You'll have to do any learning yourself. I truly did enjoy the class so much, but APU is too expensive not to be learning for the $100/hr. you're paying. And do the busy work that it says in the packet....don't wait till he tells you to.
Lambert is like a walking encyclopedia of psychology. I learned a lot in his class about psychology and how it relates to faith. It seemed very challenging for a 110 class, but he is a super fair grader. I feel he really cares for his students.
My favorite professor at APU. Like everyone says, really cares about his students and wants all of us to succeed. Taught me so much about the importance of family in shaping myself and my relationships.
Dr. Lambert is the most amazing individual/ professor you could ever have. He genuinely loves his students and wants the best for you. To top it off he's hilarious and makes the class soooo much fun! Take him and if you don't you will really miss out.
PROF LAMBERT IS THE BEST! Holy crap I would take his class a million times. it's literally the only class i have that i look forward to. TAKE HIM
Easy and interesting class. He sends you what you need to know for the midterm and final but other than that, you have to do a lot of the learning on your own for quizzes. There's a lot of stuff that's due at the end of the year that he hardly talks about. Great guy though! Enjoyable class!
Probably one of the best classes I have ever taken. Lambert is an all around great teacher, and can be pretty funny at times. Writing the autobiography took a lot of work and time (50 page minimum) but was completely worthwhile. His assignment forces you to look back and examine your life and figure out how you've become you. Very dedicated teacher
He is vauge. Too much work for a GE class. He is funny, but never answers emails. It is a big class, kinda stinks since its private school.
I had Dr. Lambert for Adult Development. He had us interview people in their 20's,30's,40s,50's, 60's,70,s,and 80's about the meaning of life across the Lifespan.BEST ASSIGNMENT EVER! I learned so much. Rather than fearing getting old I look forward to what I will discover in the journey. Great class.
Lambert rocks! He's a good instructor and a great entertainer. Manage your time well because there are a number of projects and readings that are due at the end of the semester. Ask questions! Tap into the well of knowledge that is Professor Lambert!
I love mr. Lambert. He loves what he teaches and you can totally tell. He is super easy and even brings treats to class like pie, ice cream, and pizza! His mid terms and finals are so easy because he gives you all the powerpoints and past exams to study from. His class is so interesting. take mr lambert!
I loved Professor Lambert's class! Definitely my favorite of the semester. Don't take the quizzes lightly-study for them because it'll help you in the long run-but if you don't do well, no biggy- it's just a "pebble in the pond" as he says. I highly recommend his class-so interesting and he truly cares about his students. Take him!!

He is amazing!! Take him, he is very helpful and the class is so easy. He is soo funny! TAKE HIM, YOU WILL NOT REGRET IT
Interesting teacher, very qualified, keeps class pretty interesting, study hard for midterm/final but he is pretty fair about grading. Don't wait on the little assignments; get them done over spring/thanksgiving break if possible. Gives study guides & warnings for most quizzes. Cares about students and will work with your needs.
Rev. Doctor Lambert is AMAZING. His knowledge of psychology is incredible, but he is also very caring and very funny. He is like a comedian, psyche professor and minister rolled into one. Take him!!
Lambert is a very fun teacher. He has a weird personality, but he totally knows it and plays it up in class. He's also very smart and cares about all of his students, even the ones just seeking out the general credit. Work is easy, but still semi-stimulating. Quizzes and test can be a little tough, but not scary at all. Highly recommend!
Dr. Lambert is the most entertaining professor. He balances his role as a psychologist, professor and minister very well.He can be awkward at times but it makes class fun. Test are doable and he never fails people. Class was interesting and learned a lot. TAKE HIM whenever you get the chance.great class and prof!
APU INSPIRATIONAL PROFESSOR OF THE YEAR FOR 2009-2010 out of almost 450 professors. They put his picture in the library! Exceptional teacher who cares for and prays for his students a lot. He is very funny, and he brings up topics and personal stories that go way beyond notes from a book. Take him!
I took this class and this professor purely based on these comments and the need for a general ed class. Although Lambert is so caring and entertaining, the class itself let me down. I learned nothing and found the class to be boring and useless most of the time. I came in not being interested in psych and left with 0 interest in psych.
Great professor. Blends psychology and Christianity very well. One of the most caring professors I know.
APU student body voted him FACULTY OF THE YEAR for 2010-2011. He has a deep knowledge of psychology and the Bible. Rev.Dr. Lambert goes way beyond textbook notes. I have had him for 3 classes. He has helped me learn the psychology behind my relationship with God. Take him.
He is completely wonderful!!!! I was not looking forward to psych classes but loved him, he is dedicated and he understands his students. He WANTS u to succeed and he is a very Godly man and you can see it by the way he teaches and just as he is as a man in general.
One of my favorite profs! Really funny and keeps the class entertained with his stories. DEFINITELY recommend; I'm taking him again for an upper div next semester and couldn't be more excited!
One of my favorite profs! Really funny and keeps the class entertained with his stories. DEFINITELY recommend; I'm taking him again for an upper div next semester and couldn't be more excited!
All of the other reviewers have said what I feel. A Godly man with an intelligent head on his shoulders with a good teaching approach to boot.
HE is very nice and will keep you paying attention because he is so funny! But at the same time he is not very organized, he changes things around a lot and its hard if you want to do things ahead of time. His tests were extremely easy but then towards then end really hard, which was weird. over all, he is okay.
Reverend Doctor Lambert is an APU legend. He has taught over 6000 students at APU. Great public speaker. This is my 3rd class with him. Each class is better than before He is like an encyclopedia when it comes to bringing Bible and psychology together. Take him.
Great! Take him
SO overrated. If you actually want to learn something and you don't want to waste your time, don't take him. In Gen Psych he has a classroom of 90 people. Doesn't learn names. Doesn't keep the class under control. Says he cares about students but never answers emails and is not helpful. He's also super weird.
Professor Lambert wants to help his Senior students get into competitive graduate schools. I applied to one and got rejected. Lambert spent over 3 hours helping me reconstruct my admissions package, including my statement of purpose. I reapplied and WAS ACCEPTED! Dr. Lambert cares so much about his students success. A great professor.
Great class! I am thinking about changing my major to psychology because of Lambert's class. He is a passionate, knowledgeable professor. Exams are pretty tough, but I got a better grade than I thought I would. He seems very caring.
Lambert is an amazing professor. Show up to class, read the material and do the assignment. Not only will you get an A but you will have a new mentor. He notices much more then he lets on. Be respectful and speak up, he will know and help you!
SO EASY. He is hilarious. Makes the class laugh all the time. He really cares about his students and never gives you homework. He extends due dates all the time. Quizzes are easy because he gives study guides. Tests are exactly what he gives you to study for too. Great class. Highly recommended.
Dr. Lambert is such a great guy. He totally wants you to succeed and is so willing to help you out. Going to class is low key and fun...he tells funny stories, shows quirky powerpoints, and very often surprises you with goodies! Definitely recommended class. You learn a lot of interesting stuff, he tells you what to study, and it's fun!
Lambert is great. A very likeable guy. Some people knock him for his tangents, but they can be very helpful for illustrating foreign concepts. Read the book for this class ahead of time and you will be fine. His tests are pretty tough but if you've read and then you study according to his guides, you can pass easily.
Stephen Lambert is one of the nicest professors at APU. He is so knowledgable and so caring for his students. One of the most interesting quality men I have ever met. His syllabus is very confusing, you never know what is due in class and when it is due. Besides that, Stephen Lambert is a great professor.
Awesome prof who genuinely cares. gives out snacks almost every Friday to a class of 100+. There are only about four quizzes and a couple of exams.
The syllabus is useless &so is going to class.I don't even understand why we do the things we do in class bc they relate to NOTHING on tests. He just sort of tells you everything you need to know a few days before the test-read everything! & then everyone fails so he curves the scores like crazy. It's very strange/confusing.He doesn't reply to emails
This is my third class with Reverend Doctor Lambert. He is my favorite professor at APU. His knowledge of God and how families work is extraordinary. If you can possibly get into his classes--they close the 1st or 2nd day--take him
I never met such a kind professor. I was going through some personal difficulties and he met with me for an entire hour. Great teacher and great counselor. He really values his students
I learned so much from Dr. Lambert. Not only did he make the class very enjoyable, he integrated much of his experiences so that we can understand the concepts of his teachings. He cares very much about his students and does not discriminate. Rather, he encourages for everyone to try their best, no matter how they are doing in class.
Great guy, didn't always teach well. I taught myself the material a lot… but he is very fun
Dr. Lambert wants to prepare his students for graduate school. If you plan to do an MA or Ph.D. to become a family therapist or clinical psychologist take him. He is passionate about the Bible and psychology. I learned so much in his class. He also cares about and prays for his students
One of the best professors at APU!
Im a junior in college and by far, Lambert has been the best prof I've had! If i could take him again I would! Very passionate about psychology and wants his students to be prepared for grad school. His assignments aren't hard, and he gives you more than enough time to complete them! He also gives study guides for midtermquizzes. Take Lambert!!
He is a very funny and energetic professor. There were some pretty interesting topics and discussions in this class. Not many tests (only mid-term and final) but they are worth a lot of points so study for them. Quizzes are decent. Papers are pretty straight forward. He genuinely cares about his students.
You can tell Professor Lambert is very passionate about what he teaches and it helps because we learn in a fun way.
Lambert is hilarious and gives wonderful lectures. I learned a lot about Psychology from his class but not necessarily about what he tested on. If you read the book and study for the midterm and final you will pass. He understands if you skip and since the class is big probably won't notice you're gone.
I really enjoyed every day of Lambert's class. He really knows how to relate Psyc to his students and he is a great professor. He understands that you have more obligations in life than simply his class and is extremely forgiving for late assignments and the occasional bad grade. If you study from his study guides, you will pass.
Very interesting and intelligent professor with years of experience and a true love for students. Tends to ramble on and on and powerpoints are not that helpful so prepare to rely on your textbook a lot for tests. Overall, everyone will love him but not everyone will love his teaching style (very conversational and anecdotal).
If you want a caring professor, He's the one!
Great professor, he care about all of his students even if he has a big class. If you want an A and good experience with the prof. then he's the one!
Professor Lambert is a major foodie and is very understanding of the students' busy lives. Gives 4 - 5 quizzes besides the midterm and final. Does not mandate reading the textbook, but it helps immensely in the quizzes and exams. Be prepared to write a few movie and personal reflection papers and a Bible journal. Very generous on partial credits.
Taking Psychology and Christianity with professor Lambert was powerfully transformative. Lambert is an ordained minister and has a doctorate in psychology also. The way he talked about how faith and science come together kind of made me realize why I as a Christian pursued the world of psychology. Amazing teacher and class
I had Lambert for Gen Psych with a class of about 200 people and I didn't like it at all. Didn't learn much in class and I felt like the work assigned didn't have any real purpose. Although, he is forgiving when it comes to late work and a lot of assignments were graded for completion. Easy to pass, but didn't learn anything.
He is amazing! He genuinely cares about his students, the material and sharing God's loves. He is very wise and you will learn a lot about psych as well as life. His class may seem difficult at first but he is willing to work with you. He sends you his slides for studying and curves exam grades. Best professor I have ever taken!!
SLAMBERT IS THE BEST!! he really cares about the students! he teaches you life lessons throughout the semester! he tries to make us eat healthier by giving us dark chocolate to snack on in every class! he is such a wise old turtle and reminds me of a cool crazy uncle! take him if you can! he is so wise and knowledgeable!!
Lambert's lectures are absolutely random and have nothing to do with the midterm or final. He doesn't reply to emails and doesn't tell you your grade in the class. He makes the class sound like a cake walk until the tests slap you in the face! If you want a class for some good laughs and food, than Lambert is your man! Didn't learn anything.
He's like the crazy uncle of the psychology department. He's a great professor if you want an easier class, but don't let the assignments and papers add up until the end of the semester. They are worth a substantial amount of your final grade.
PSYCH 292 - Intro to Brain and Behavior NOT online; however, the class # is not listed. Students who did not learn "anything" clearly could not have applied themselves. Lambert is a fun-loving & interesting plus very flexible w/grading, at least in this class. The book is required so if you are reading then you must be learning. Encouraging & fun.
Rev. Dr. Lambert is amazing. He is a little wacky, but he has advanced degrees in psychology and theology and is an amazing lecturer. He weaves psychology and the Bible together like an artist. He loves his students. Take him.
He is such a nice guy and caring professor. This is a class with about 120 people so the class consists of lectures. Quizzes are kind of hard, Mid-term is kind of hard and final is kind of hard. He puts questions on there that he did not teach. He adds a lot of assignments at the end of the year. But he is great and would definitely recommend.
Lambert is so kind, caring, and encouraging. Probably the nicest professor you will ever have. However, don't expect to learn a whole lot in class. Lectures and class time are not structured, and class time is filled with a lot of procrastination. A lot of the work, to learn, you will have to do on your own by reading the book. LOVE Lambert though.
I took Lambert for Psychology of Christianity. This is the most valuable course I have taken at APU. Professor Lambert is an amazing lecturer. He know so much about Christianity and the Bible. I really appreciate him.
Lambert is one of the nicest people I have ever met but his lectures are not structured and I end up teaching myself the lesson. He is a very easy grader and he curves all tests. He was very good for general psychology but I regret taking him for Brain and Behavior. If you want to really learn the subject, take a different professor.
Dr. Lambert is by far the sweetest professor in APU! He kept Abnormal Psychology engaging with interesting lectures, fun-relevant movies, & guest speakers so the 3-hour class goes by quickly! He cares about his students so much he goes out of his way to bring chocolate, cake, pizza, or pie for us. He loves the Lord & has so much wisdom to share!
He is the absolute best. Take him if you can. He is so incredibly sweet and caring and just tells stories all class and lectures only for a little. If you take him for a 3 hour course, he gives you 30 minute brake to get food. Would totally recommend.
Reverend Doctor Lambert is extremely inspirational. He has so much experience in Christianity, psychology and pastoral care that he can actually turn lectures into stories. Because the lectures are in story form it is easy to remember the material. His classes seem easy because they are enjoyable. I learned a huge amount in his class.
Dr. Lambert cares so much about his students and it really shows. He brought us chocolate for the midterm and the final, and on random other days brought us ice cream and pizza. USE THE STUDY GUIDES HE GIVES YOU. Those are the key to doing well on the midterm and final.
I took Abnormal Psychology with Dr. Lambert and learned a ton. Because he has been in the field for 30 years he can take any topic in the book and explain it using real life experience. Tests are challenging, but Lambert gives great study guides. I have had 2 classes with Lambert and would take more if I were not graduating.
Dr. Lambert's lectures are entertaining at best. But that's it. He's very unorganized, doesn't have any clear structure, and grades you based on if he recognizes your face or not. Doesn't give a grade till the end so you're confused as to why you get the grade you get. Wouldn't recommend this teacher even if he is lenient on assignments.
Lambert told us his enrollment from 1996 until now is 10,000 students. I can see why. He lives and breathes psychology and biblical theology. he is a little disorganized but his lectures are life changing. He truly loves his students. Take him.
The kindest man. Brings dessert to class, gives chocolate out in about every other class. Lectures are straight forward and informative. He makes abnormal psych really interesting. Even, offered to let a girl take the final on a different day because it was her birthday.. like who else does that? Great guy, take his classes!
This is the best professor you will ever have. Not only is he brilliant, he is hilarious. He loves his students and treats them with respect and care. He inspires students to change their majors, he inspires students to change their lives for the better, and he inspires students to do well in his class. Lambert is a gem. Truly one of the best.
You'll need the main textbook, and the books required for the journals. He is not really clear on when he wants things done by, but typically everything is due at the end of the semester. Tests are hard if you don't thoroughly read. Lambert is a great source of information to learn from, make sure you do your readings on the side.
Lambert has an amazing wealth of knowledge. He has taught most courses in the department and has a lot of graduate work in biblical theology and philosophy, as well as a doctorate in psychology. Very flexible. When he seems to go off topic, it is to make the topic come alive. Take him.
Rev. Dr. Lambert is a true gem. He is so knowledgable on the subjects he teaches, has so much love for his students , and really integrates faith in to the lessons. TAKE THIS CLASS YOU WONT REGRET IT!!!
.Lambert is really chill. Show up to class study for the quizzes and exams, and you'll be fine.A few papers about 2 pages each and 1 simple group project. I won't lie and say he's organized, but his class was enjoyable. Isn't looking to fail anyone, he has high curves and will help you if your struggling. Great guy to talk to, definitely take him
Lambert is a nice and entertaining man, BUT not a great teacher. Very unclear at times and he goes off onto tangents a lot. If you are looking for an easy class then take his, but you wont learn anything new. He didn't grade half of our work and his grading is based on randomness or if he knows you. He expects you to read all the textbook at home.
He's a really easy professor. Not super entertaining during the class but it's definitely an easy A if you are looking for that.
I used to love Dr. Lambert but his disorganization, unresponsiveness, and inability to grade has completely changed that this past semester. He makes a lot of promises that he does not fulfill and gets lazy with his grading by giving everyone the same scores. If you take his class, you will not likely fail but you will not get an A either.
It is very hard to get in touch with him. Shows a lot of films. Class does get boring because it is very monotoned. Never used the book, still passed.
I love professor Lambert. He is like a legend at APU. The way he combines pastoral care with a strong knowledge of psychology and spirituality has really helped me. He is really funny, and he is really caring. I learned a ton, not only from his teaching but because of who he is.
Strong lectures. Learned a lot
Dr. Lambert is very knowledgeable. I took him for undergraduate and graduate classes. super caring
Dr. Lambert is a super caring professor who really just wants you to pass. You really just need to show up, and he'll pass you. If you aren't coming to class, you just need to e-mail him. He makes the process super easy. Definitely a great and caring professor.
Knowledgeable and respected with years of experience. He is not organized, goes off on tangents, and is old-school. (Wouldnt recommend to those who like structure or like consistency) Still highly recommend because he cares about his students and not only teaches psychology but also gives life advice through lectures. Youll pass the class.
I've had Lambert for a few classes now. Is it easy? Yes. Did I learn anything? Nope. Very disorganized lectures, inability to grade on time or post grades on canvas. Lectures are entertaining, with lots of tangents and no learning. Would I take him again? While I love an easy A, his classes are stressful never knowing where you stand.
Lambert is one of the most respected professors here. He is however very unorganized. I've had him for several classes. He wants all his students to pass and you will pass you will never know your grade because he does not put anything into canvas. Likes group presentations. You will only touch your book once during his course.
Dr. Lambert is one of the most caring, engaging, and knowledgeable psychology professors in the department. Don't let his easygoing personality fool you -- this guy knows his stuff. Everything he says, from the lecture material to the seeming tangents, will come in handy. He recommends reading the book as he covers things, which I def recommend.
Professor Lambert told our class he taught double overload, or 6 classes, the last semester. This semester he had no TA help, That takes amazing organization. As a student, I know my life is much more organized when I take only 3 or 4 class then when I take 6. If you want a highly respected, caring, great professor take him.
He is an amazing professor!! Super kind and caring, he also always replies quickly to your emails and trues to work everything out! He is very passionate about what he teaches and gives out a lot of interesting information! Best professor ever!
Great Professor!!
Amazing professor! He is very kind and very knowledgeable. I learned so much. APU is a Christian University. I think it is cool that he has so much knowledge of faith and the Bible, as well as psychology. Take his classes and you will not be sorry.
Professor Lambert shared that seat enrollment in his classes has now surpassed 10,000 students. I can see why. He is kind of like a comedian and a wise old soul wrapped into one. His background in biblical religion and philosophy really enhances his psychology classes. Brings snacks and celebrates birthdays. Take him.
only have 1 group presentation, quizzes/midterms/ finals are easy if you pay attention and read. Amazing professor and very caring, celebrates the birthdays of everyone in class. Makes sure that everyone is included, he also answers emails very fast. His study guides are extremely helpful and he sends last minute bonus help. No one fails class
very wise, gives a lot of information in his lectures so If you wanna learn more take notes during class. very caring and includes everyone in class. Very awesome to have conversations with, honestly he is just an amazing professor. No one fails his class, quizzes are easy, 1 group presentation
Professor Lambert is my favorite professor especially when it comes to Psychology classes. He is really caring and wants ALL HIS STUDENTS TO PASS HIS CLASS. HE IS AMAZING PROFESSOR AND 10/10. PLEASE TAKE HIM FOR PSYCHOLOGY CLASSES. He brings popcorn, chocolates, and pie for his students. He is such a KIND AND SWEET PROFESSOR.
Professor Lambert is a caring instructor who makes the class easy to pass. Lectures can be unclear, but if you show up and email him, you'll likely get an A. Unstuck ai and the free textbook are great study aids for this course.
He is extremely caring, knowledgeable, and loves his students. REALLY easy, like easier than high school classes, and said he wouldn't let students get below a C even if they didn't try, which bothered me. I feel bad because he is super sweet as a person, therapist, and Christian, but runs his class very bare minimum, which wasn't for me.
Professor Lambert is easy going, lectures for most of the class, assignment load is doable. Not tech savvy can lead to confusion on assignments, deadlines, grading, etc. He is not awful if you care about passing the class. Disappointing if you expect rigor. Surprise self-evaluation = tricky.
Professor Lambert is a legend at APU. He said he has been here for 30 years. He is an ordained minister and also has a doctorate in psychology. His lectures are amazing. He ties the Bible and psychology together in amazing ways. I learned so much. Tests are very challenging, but he does not want to fail students. He is humble and caring.
