I took this class over the wintermester and absolutely loved this professor. The class was completely self-paced which was perfect for the holidays. There were 4 tests, 10 discussion boards, 1 critical thinking essay, and a short final. As long as you do the work according to the guidelines you will get full credit. Overall, great prof and class!

I took Lifespan over the winter break. It was a lot of reading, and a lot of work crammed in to a short amount of time, but also very enjoyable. Dr Link is very clear as to what is expected. He also gives ample opportunity to make an A (you can re-take tests and the highest grade is used; extra credit available.) He's also pretty funny.

Great professor, gives ton of extra credit which is helpful! Lectures are interesting as well

Tests are open book so you need to thoroughly read the chapters if you want a good grade on the tests. Luckily there are 3 attempts on the tests to get the grade you want. Follow instructions and do all the homework and you should get an A. Professor does give some interesting articles to read and thorough responses to group discussions.

Must keep up with assignments because the deadline schedule was flexible. Enjoyed the reading assignments. Gives multiple chances to improve grade. He was WONDERFUL about posting grades quickly and responding to email! Would recommend.

He is one of the best Psychology professor. Giving lot of extra credits, grade and response very fast. There's a lot of discussion board, 4 reading supplement essay, 4 test which 3 attempts each, and a critical thinking essay but all are accessible and he give you very clear intruction to get full credit. Professor Link is by one of the greatest teachers at Brookhaven. He designs this course to be as simple and straightforward as possible. He also emails back quickly and gives good feedback on assignments. Attendance will benefit you greatly and he offers a ton of extra credit. This class is an easy A if you put the effort to attend lectures.

Dr. Link has been the best professor that I have ever had at Brookhaven. First, he has an extraordinary passion for teaching. He prepares his class and you cannot get lost during class because you can print his slides before class at home. He really wants you to learn. He answers all questions. Any type of question. He has a lot of patience and if you are from another country, he is very easy to understand. He gives 5 tests and each one spans some number of chapters. You need to read the book and take notes. You cannot say you couldn't know the answer because he mentions everything in class, but a few questions are from the book and a few from some questions that he makes from the class. I would suggest that you write them down. I found the last test (20 questions) kind of difficult, but if you fail, you still have a lot of opportunity for extra points. Going to class is very important because you earn points by just sitting there. You have many ways to get extra credit. I really want to encourage you to choose this teacher. I am a really picky person and I am always trying to look for a smart, comprehensive, and passionate teacher like him. Now is your time to decide and make your own judgment

Professor Link does a wonderful job of communicating when things are due. The course is online and the book is downloadable therefore not an extra price. The extra reading is simple and there are so many choices. He allows extra credit and the quizzes and tests have multiple attempts. He keeps the highest grades which really helps.

I thoroughly enjoyed Professor Link's choice of textbook as well as the structure of the online course. He graded assignments promptly, which I appreciated.

This class taught me a lot and Mr. Link provided very infortamative articles. He also provided a tab just for nursing majors, that was really interesting. You are given multiple chances to take tests, so there should be no reason to fail. If you do the assignments and read the book, this class will be a breeze.

Online course. The grading criteria was very clearly defined. You could easily finish the class on your schedule because the tests were all due at the very end of the semester and there were only a few assignments due on time. Grades were provided quickly during the semester. Dr. Link responded to e-mails of questions typically within 24 hours.

Excellent professor. Took an online course and made an A. Absolutely enjoyed the class. Quizes and tests are due by the end of semester , there are supplementary reading short essays that are due in regular interval and one critical reading essay. Very lenient grader, easy A.

I absolutely loved this class and will be taking him again next semester. He is very specific about his expectations and he makes the assignments interesting. As long as you read the book you will make an A. He is also very prompt with his e-mail response, literally same day or next day at the latest, overall a great choice.

I enjoyed Professor Link's lectures. He set up his class so that even if you didn't do well on the exams you could still get a good grade for the class, and there was a good amount of extra credit. He was always to class on time, up to 30 minutes early so if you needed help he was there. I would definitely take psych from him again.

Amazing professor! He makes lectures interesting and he does care about students. There's quite a lot of writing but that's expected of a course like this one. There's also a lot of reading involved! Tests are open book but do try your best to read and be familiar with the material to do well and he does give extra credit opportunities.

Professor Stephen Link was by far the best professor I've had. I like the fact that this course was so interesting and yet still provided extra articles if we wanted to further learn about general psychology. Prof link is very dedicated. I've had Professors who don't respond on the weekends yet late at night but professor Link was always there!

Prof Link is amazing. The class is textbook heavy but you get out of the class exactly what you put in. If you want an A it is 100% doable. I took his online class which was only 3 weeks so it goes Fast! His grading criteria is very straight forward and tells you exactly what he wants. You will not regret taking this class.

I took this course for the May mester. While it was intense, Dr. Link also made it easy to score well if you worked hard and completed the assignments on time. Also, he was very good about sending reminders with due dates so that we were well informed. Very responsive by email. I imagine taking his class for Fall or Spring might be more fun.

Fast-paced course taken in Maymester. Easy to pass if you keep track of due dates. All 4 exams due end of the semester, open book and three tries each. Discussion posts are easy, reference the book and put at least one quote from the book or outside article for an easy good grade. One critical thinking essay. Easy to reach outside class. A+ prof.

This was my first time taking Psychology and I have to say it was the best class I've ever taken, especially with Dr. Link. Since the class was a Maymester, it was very fast paced, but the professors clear instructions were stated in the syllabus and made the class very fun and interesting! No reason one should get a B, considering the extra credit

As long as you do the work on time and read the book, should make an A (tests are open book!). There are a lot of discussion board questions that have to be MLA cited, but you can do these ahead of time and it's only 10 sentences each. I enjoyed the class. It was a really good class to start back at after 15 years away from school.

I took this online course as a May-mester and it was very fast paced, covering lots of material. Dr. Link lays out exactly what you need to do to get the grade you want. Assignments and tests were reasonable if you did all the readings (open book tests). This is a good professor and one of the best organized online courses I've taken.

I took PSYC 2301 as an online course during the summer. Although at first glance the amount of assignments may seem overwhelming the workload is definitely manageable. Professor Link is phenomenal, he has truly constructed a course that tailors to the student's needs and makes it easy, if you put in the effort , to receive an "A" .

I would be lying if I said it was an easy A.. you have to put in work but there are plenty of opportunities for you to get an A.. just do all the discussions and articles, tests were easy, youre given 3 attempts for each test and keep the best score so if you fail that's because you're lazy, he also gives extra credit to help your grade

I took his online psychology course and loved this class. He gave lots of extra credit, all of his exams and chapter quizzes were due towards the end of the course, so his students were able to focus on their jobs, other classes, etc. His course consists of article readings, which you answer simple questions, discussion questions, and an essay.

Wonderful! This is the second class I have taken (online) with Dr Link. There IS a lot of work, but it is interesting and informative. He keeps you up to date with due dates, offers extra credit, and is quick to respond to questions. I enjoyed his subtle humor, and you can tell he is really passionate about psychology. Professor Links online course was super easy, but you have to work for it. Dont be one that fails his class, because he gives super clear instructions that anyone can follow! I took this class as part of my nursing degree plan, and I must say it was very interesting. At first I thought it was going to be boring like most online classes are but the textbook used is a great read. You have to read the textbook in order to pass the tests and get good grades on the discussions. Overall it's fairly easy to pass this class.

This class was more than enjoyable. I didnt think it was a lot of work at all. Just make sure to do your work on time. Even if you miss 1 or 2 assignments he gives enough extra credit to make up for it. I honestly enjoyed reading all of the extra credit articles and learned from then. Amazing class, take him!!

I took a 4 week long online flexterm course and it was the easiest online course ever. Made an A. The tests can be found online if searched properly & you don't need the textbook even though it's free. There is a couple DB's and reading supplement (read article and answer questions). I used common knowledge to do the DB's. Lot of work but doable.

2nd class I've taken from Prof Link. He's stellar. All tests due @ end of semester. Discussion boards, read articles & write small essays, critical thinking essay, unit tests, etc. Easy A if you put in some effort. Grades right away. Highlights nursing concepts. Will take again whenever possible.

An excellent instructor. He is very clear about his expectations. He gives practice quizzes and multiple attempts at tests. Do the work required and you will pass. I learned a lot from his class.

One of the best Professors. Gives you all the materials you need for 2301. He has a heart for his students and a fair grader. I took him for both PSY2301 and 2402 and I made A on both.

You will need to read to pass this class. But. You will learn so much. Mr. Link always send out reminders. Those reminders kept ne on track. Even when students were slacking he had a message for that. It showed that he cared. If you have any questions or problems. He is there to help. I think that he is an amazing professor.

This class was awesome. All the resources needed for the course are readily available and provided at the beginnings of the course, so you are able to work at a pace comfortable for you. I took this course online just for a refresher credit since I taken it before. I work full time and was taking another 4 hour credit course online so I was so happy with the flexibility of this course. I didnt have to log in every day and I was able to complete as many assignments as I wanted to. At my own pace. The professor is fair at grading!

Extra credit articles had interesting topics

I appreciated Stephen's course; out of all of five of the classes I took this semester, his was the most blunt and straightforward. I didn't have to guess at what was due, when it was due, and how it'd affect my grade. He gave us ample opportunity to complete quizzes and tests, which I think saved some of us due to the amount of work due per unit.

The only assignments with due dates other than the last day of class were the discussion questions and reading supplements. Keep yourself accountable and the course will be an easy "A". Don't slack.

I took his Psychology online class and it wasn't hard at all. You do have to work on a schedule so you won't have everything at the end since majority of the work was due at the end of semester. This was an amazing class. I barely made an A bc I didnt complete a couple of assignments on time but it wasnt that bad. I would recommend you to start on the class as early as possible and GET THOSE POINTS! The test answers are online on quizlet( 4 exams) & the discussions are pretty easy. Do all the requirements and you will get an A+ EASILY.

This class was honestly so easy and so interesting. I took this as an online oct flex term and it was great. Dr Link's course is made up of 16 quizzes, 4 unit tests, 5 Discussion Boards, and a short essay. You can honestly finish this whole class in like a week, so I would definitely recommend this class!

This is an excellent class. Everything was online and directions were clear. The grading is very fair, but you must study and learn the content. Dr. Link responds quickly and monitors your progress.

The professor did a great job at making the way that he graded as transparent as possible so that we knew what he was looking for and how to make our papers like that. He also provided feedback on essentially every assignment that we completed which really helped me know where I did good and what I could still improve on.

Honestly if you put in the time you could probably finish the class in a couple of weeks. The DB's are easy, the test are easy, Everything is explained in detail what is needed before the class starts. I wouldn't say the book is absolutely needed, but it definitely helps. Easy online flex course. Honestly, all the work can be done in two weeks tops. Professor keeps in contact with you about due dates on a daily bases and posts announcements frequently. It does require reading, but exams and quizzes are pretty straight forward. Short essay articles he posts are interesting to read and write about.

Online wintermester, 4 week class. Totally doable. 4 tests, 16 chapter quizzes all open book. can take each one 2x. There are 5 DBs- personal opinion paragraphs and 4 supplemental readings that have 3 short essay questions. Grades every morning and gives great feedback and info on DBs. Also gives extra credit but did not need to do it for my A.

Honestly taking psychology seemed like it was going to be a difficult course to take during a winter mester, but having Professor Link as my professor made it not hard at all ! Great Professor! Read a chapter and take a quiz. Followed by a test the covers 4 chapters. You have the opportunity to take each test and quiz twice. While I originally feared that this class would prove to be quite difficult, I am happy to say it did not. The assignments were very engaging and each test allowed for multiple takes. Though there was quite a bit of reading, the tests were relatively easy with proper studying. I appreciated his detailed instructions and would recommend this class.

Class is pretty straightforward. Quizzes and test questions are based on what's in the textbook (open book test/quiz). There are about 5 Discussion Boards and 4 Supplemental Readings. I received perfect scores on both. Gives you 2x's to take each quiz and test. I would recommend taking his class. I made an A without even doing the extra credit.

Professor Link is the best possible professor if you want to be straight forward with your class, get it done when you can, and get tons of extra credit. DQ are always a hassle but this time around it was interesting and applicable. The quizzes, exams, and readings are all straight forward. Just get it done and dont wait last minute!

This course requires lots of reading. There were 15 quizzes and 4 test all due on the same day which was really convenient. Professor Link provides a lot of extra credit. I did not take full advantage of that but still passed with an A. The syllabus is straight forward, I had no questions for Professor Link directly. Great class overall!

I don't know if on campus are given in a different way, but online, tests are open book, but you better study since you only have about 1 and half minute per question. The best thing however is that the due date is the end of the semester so, you can finish everything halfway through the semester if you wish.

This class has a quiz for each chapter in the textbook (16 in total), 4 tests, 1 student learning outcomes test, 5 discussions, and 4 supplemental reading essays (off of articles you choose). There are around 50 extra credit opportunities as well. This class is manageable and the due dates are clear. I read and learned a lot! Very fun easy class!

I really liked this class, the teacher is a great teacher. He also gives you the option to do extra credit to boost your grade. Everything is so organized, that it is easy to find. I honestly didnt think this class was too difficult. I would take this class again.

Professor Link is the best online educator I have ever had. Same day email responses, daily communication, clear, concise, and unambiguous directions regarding every assignment and their due dates. There are plenty of options when it comes to which articles to read and respond to, so the class is easy and fun.

Professor Stephen Link is very good and dedicated to his duty. He has motivational skills. what surprises me most is that I will send him an email at 2 am and I will get up to see his response before 7 am. His pattern of teaching moves everyone to read. He also has effective communication skills. I can't say it all, He is a professor indeed.

One of the best online clases I have taken . He was very clear on the assignments and gave extra credit .Uploaded lectures which were informative and funny.2 attempts in tests and quizzes. I took psych 2301 as a maymester class and Im not going to lie it was a lot of work but if you pace yourself and do all the work, you can get a good grade.

Professor Link is a great instructor. He encourages students to finish online courses at a steady pace and keeps us up to date daily on assignments approaching due dates. Professor Link worked with getting my grade posted early so I could apply to a program I took this course for. He is very helpful, & responds back to questions & concerns quick!

Amazing prof. Answers the email quickly. You can look up the chapter quizzes and exams. Reading supplements and discussion board was also quite simple and entertaining. You will love it. Please be focused and up to date. Then you will definitely score grade A.

Professor Link was awesome. I took his lifespan growth and development class during the last 5 weeks of the semester. Fast class and alot of assignments but fairly easy once you get the hang of whats required. He doesnt really lecture and pulls most of the material from the textbook so I recommend ignoring the powerpoints and just read the book.

Once you start the course you can see not only how much Dr. Link cares about teaching but also how much he cares about his students. He sets you up for success. (There arent enough characters here to go into detail) best advice: read the syllabus and spend time going over everything he has on ecampus before class starts.
