He is a young teacher. He is very nice and very helpful. I enjoyed studying in his class very much. He is my ideal teacher.

Overall, the guy is great. He talks a whoooole lot, however he gives only four papers throughout the class, barely uses the text book, and is crystal clear when explaining things. The great part is, he lets you turn your paper in as many times you want to perfect your grade!

This guy is really great. As said above, he does only assign a few papers and you are literally able to turn them in as many times as you want to get an A+. There is no way to fail the class unless you really can't stand sitting there for a whole class. He doesn't lecture, and he's cool with open discussion. Great teacher!

His class was fairly easy, and it seems like he likes to teach the technical side of writing papers. I spoke with another English teacher who said he got into the subject for the literature part, not teaching how to write, but prof Logan seems to like that side of writing. He's at least very good at teaching it.

Stephen Logan is a great teacher, very fair and easy to get along with. The class is basically graded based on papers, but you should do your reading so you dont look like an idiot during discussion. chances are you will like the reading anyway. and hes kind of cute.

I was worried that I wouldn't be able to complete the English 102 final research paper that's required. Not ONLY does he let you write on anything you want (someone did theirs on pot), he's SO helpful. I was able to turn my essay in 5 days early. He's simply the BEST, and his revision policy is really helpful. I'm stiting on an A.

He was fair, and although the revise policy may make the class seem like a cakewalk, he does make you earn it, which I liked. I feel like my writing genuinely improved from the class. He seems to enjoy his subject, and he gave me some very good advice and encouragement on college overall. Seems like a real good guy.

Logan is a GREAT teacher. He wants you to succeed and does everything that he can to help you get great grades in his class by letting you revise your work that has been grades so you can get an even higher grade. Writes excellent letters of recommendations too. Keeps class interesting & does peer review for ideas and critiquing.

I loved this class!! When I was having trouble with mla I went and talked to him about after hours and he was friendly and helpful. I think he dealt with having a baby and being a teacher very nicely. One of the best classes/teachers I've had yet.

Easy class for the most part, and if its not easy for you, he will work with you outside of class. Tries to give papers back asap, but keep in mind he has to grade hundreds of papers! Professor Logan is great. I took his comp 2 class in autumn 2014, and loved his class so much that I took him again when he taught intro to fiction the following spring. He is clear with how he grades, is always there if you need help or answers, and uses student feedback to help him improve how he runs his classes.

I took Prof Logan's Comp 2 class in Autumn 2015, and liked it so much I signed up for his Intro to Fiction class in the Spring. He used our feedback to improve the class's structure, since this was his first time teaching it, and we had a blast discussing the different short stories and novel sections we read before the class. Definitely worth it.

Easily the friendliest and most personable professor I've had at Columbus State. Very willing to work with students, a fair grader, and just plain fun to be in class with. I'm really sad he only teaches classes I took before I met him, except for this class. I would take every English class from now until graduation with Stephen if I could.

If you have trouble writing a paper and you think you are a bad writer, this professor will make you be a great one. very patient and his assignments are geared towards improving your writing. pay attention to the assignments for they help a great deal. submit your paper on time and be there for peer review. do not limit, open your mind to variety.

I haven't enjoyed an English class in years! Professor Logan is awesome. Even if you don't enjoy writing I'm confident you will learn to like it in his class. I'm sad I can't take his more advanced class. He provides great examples for students, provides a lot of support, and shows a genuine interest in his students lives.

Stephen Logan gave me the best literature experience of my life. I loved his Intro to Fiction Course (ENG 2261). The short stories we read were amazing and not time consuming. I gained a new love for reading in this course, and am keeping the textbook to finish reading the stories! A Great Class with an even Greater Professor!

Stephen is awesome. He is understanding that most people in our class were not English majors, so still managed to keep it interesting and relatable for us. As long as you do ALL the readings and speak up now and then in class, you can't go wrong. He's super quick to respond to emails and clear in his responses.

English 1100 with Logan is an easy A. Just make sure you do the revisions to receive all your points on each paper & you dont need a test book.

He is the most understanding and down to earth professor. If you don't get a good grade on a paper he will go through it with you and make sure you get the grade you want. He's very funny and understands how hard college can be and that's refreshing. 10/10 I'd totally recommend this man he's the best.

The class is definitely very writing heavy but, its a colllege English course so I didnt expect any less. Mr. Logan kept me engaged, chose interesting writing topics and was very direct and clear with grading. I really enjoyed the class and Mr. Logan was an incredible professor that actually made English bearable!

Every week you are given 4 short stories, you can read all or just enough to answer the weekly discussion board. You vote on which novel to read for the semester. 3 3-paged essays, 1 4-paged novel review, 1 2-paged reflection. Loads of time to prepare these essays, also the stories are all short. VERY EASY ENGLISH CLASS

Professor Logan is amazing! He is a really great professor who cares a lot about his students. I took Comp II online and he was very organized and it was very easy to understand what needed to be done in the class. I would absolutely recommend taking his classes.

The class consists of 4 papers, with 3 being research building up to the 4th one. All papers are on a central theme chosen at the start of the course. Lots of time and revisions are allowed. 10 quick discussion boards. Stephen is accessible and provides great feedback for revisions. I highly recommend taking this class with Stephen.

I took an online section of Comp II with Stephen and the course was great! He posted clear weekly updates and made navigating the course super easy. It was evident even in an online class how much he cared about the students and was willing to help and give feedback. I found the class to be actually quite fun and Stephen is a great professor.

Great class. Although this class can be easy, you can really do some in-depth research. One of the few classes I have taken where the student is largely in-charge and the Professor is more of a guide or a coach. Awesome class structure.

I've never written a research paper that was enjoyable, but I wrote them all semester this time! He is very flexible and understanding and lets you work at your own pace with good insight to stay on top of your work. I really respect him and the class structure.

I am not the best with English. I have never gotten an A in an English class until now. He is very nice, supportive, and gives wonderful feedback. And you have the option to revise your essays for the term. He is very flexible as well with different schedules. I highly recommend him.

Professor Logan was great! I took him during summer semester and although everything was at a faster pace, I still ended the semester with 100%. He's very flexible so you shouldn't feel rushed to complete the writing projects. There were four writing projects, the last one was the most "difficult" but if you choose a good theme, you'll do fine.

Literally my favorite professor. He's very understanding that we have other things going on in life and can't always prioritize school. Classes are fly by but are also very helpful and he gives good feedback. He also has online options for far-away commuters or if you miss a class.

I took intro to poetry and comp 2 class with Stephen. I enjoyed taking poetry with him, and everything was easy to understand. you have 2 weeks I believe to complete your paper he can give you more time if you needed it. he's just amazing. If you need a literacy arts class for your program please take introduction to poetry with Stephen Logan, even if you are not into poetry. It has been one of my favorite classes I took at CSCC. He is so kind and understanding. If you need anything he is there to help no questions asked.

I am a high school student and it is very difficult to step right into a college class with little to no guidance. Professor Logan has been the best professor I have had at Columbus State. It is impossible to fail this course if you are keeping up with your work due to his willingness to help when needed and his countless extra credit opportunities

I am a big procrastinator and wasn't good with the due dates but Professor Logan was extremely lenient. I turned in the third writing project over a month late and still received full credit. I took his honors course so the class size was very small but there was no pressure and it was always relaxed. He accepts revision and no finals.

He is a wonderful professor! I really enjoyed being in his class. Discussion is amazing, insightful and fun. If you do the readings during the week, the class is so easy and manageable. He cares about your success and wants you to do well. Grading is simple, easy to understand. He is down to earth, easy to talk to and wants to hear from you.

great guy. he cold calls but its no hard feelings if you don't answer him/have a good response. he understands that students are humans with lives and sets his class up accordingly. week long extensions for each paper, clear rubric, and very communicative. be prepared to be social in his classes! extremely lenient grading, and there's extra credit.

Stephen Logan is undoubtedly the best professor I have had while attending CSCC: He provides 1 week extensions on all 4 major essays. His grading isn't harsh, and he allows corrections to be made. He is very understanding, instructions for essays are clear, and the course grading is easy to understand (x/100pts total). Highly recommended.

I actually took Professor Logan for English 2367 but it was online and again for poetry in person so that speaks for its self. He is an amazing professor. Very understanding, and gives you time to turn in your homework late. There are class discussions and he lets those who want to answer. Writing assignments are easy, ask questions, understanding.

Prof Logan was amazing! He was very kind and I felt cared for which was refreshing to have in a prof. There are 4 major essays on one course theme of your choosing. There is also DBs and extra credit. WP4 was the longest at 7+ pages, but overall a great course!

Stephen is an amazing teacher. For each assignment due he gives a week extension for FULL credit and I definitely took advantage of that. He grades fairly quickly and within 3-4 days after the due date. He's funny and caring and respects students a lot. The best English teacher I've had.

my 2nd time taking a class of his he was great in 1100 and even now! gives students so much freedom to write about what they want. really the type of professor that goes the extra mile for everyone, and has helped me a lot on writing academic papers. allows revisions and takes work up to a week past due date, is very clear on feedback and rubric.

Amazing teacher and he cares so much for his student so that you'll be able to submit your papers passed the deadline. You just need to do 2-4 paper project and that's all you need to do for the semester without exams. Easy grader and you choose any subject you may write about.

Most laid back class setup but still teaches you really well; all papers have a built in full week extension and he leaves extremely clear/straightforward feedback that you can use to revise literally each of the 4 total papers for full credit. Save yourself the stress and take comp II with him.

Professor "Stephen" is amazing. I took the online course, which was well thought out. The grading criteria and expectations are thoughtfully outlined. He is very responsive and compassionate with a focus on low stress and self-care. His feedback and direction are impeccable.The coursework was excellent and feel I learned a great deal.

I had Professor Logan for my Composition II class (online technology). I really enjoyed this class, as a sophomore in high school, and couldn't have asked for a more understanding professor. In total, we wrote four big essays (centered around a theme) and a few smaller ones. Professor Logan gives helpful advice, grades fairly, and is very polite.
